They specialize in just about every Mexican paleta (popsicle) flavor you can think of, and I believe an individual pop is about $1.50. I decided to get a personalized dozen, which came out to $21, and I found it to be totally worth it. They offer both milk-based and water-based popsicles, as well as a few specialty options I've never seen before. I used to love this paletas I grew up with the paletero coming by my house. I purchased them again as an adult to my surprise the leche paletas are watered down the vanilla doesn't taste like vanilla the arroz con leche same watered down la de nuez same thing! Sucks because we bought $100 of paletas and they suck now. Great ice cream for a great price.... Very small store that consists of just freezers full of different varieties of ice cream you can choose from. Grab a box and just fill them up with what you want, pay, and be on your merry way. They have specialty ice creams that can't be found anywhere else. I got a the coconut ice cream with real strawberries all dipped In chocolate and a dozen of different varieties to take home. Coconut is definitely a favorite, but the mango and strawberry come in close behind. Prices range from $0.70 cents for the ice based ice cream to $1.25 for the more cream bases and $2.00 for the specialty varieties. Parking is in front on the street and can be hard to find at times. Service is fair. They take both cash and cards but I think you have to spend a minimum of $10 In order to use your card with no additional costs. read more

I ran quickly so he wouldn't get away and always opted for the banana at $.50 each. They are now a buck, but I found this hidden gem that sells nothing but POPI (Mexican Popsicles). This place has been here for 25 years and is easily missed. The juice are $5 a dozen and milk is $7 a dozen. You can mix flavors for $6.75. You get a box and you fill it up with your favorite flavors. The juice ones are just like juice Popsicle minus the artificial flavors. The milk one is bit creamier and has chunks of fruits in it. Ai "Popi" chulo!!! Ai yai yaiiii! I hate the fact that I can't get any of these closer to home in LA. My coworker makes a run for the office and each of us ends up getting at least 3-4 of these awesome paletas. I've personally never stepped into this joint, but I can imagine the store being nothing but a bunch of freezers filled with popsicles and that's it. Especially great during these blazing hot days, I just can't seem to get enough! Lots of flavors to choose from like watermelon, vanilla and raisins, coffee, pistachio, mango with chile, horchata, rompope (whatever the hell that is that Eugine Y. loves), and so on. Plus you can get them either in milk or water based. I think they're only about .80 cents each. I can't tell you if they make these things in that shop or maybe out of a taco truck, but hot dang, these are sick. They're not as sweet and artificially filled like the stuff we typically buy at the American markets. BTW, there are a bunch of Mexican paleta brands out there but Popi is one of the better ones. I hit the jackpot of paleterias!!! So many different flavors, so deliciously refreshing! These are not the same flavors I would buy as a kid from the man who pushed his paletas cart around as he rung his bells, that would make all kids come running out to the streets to enjoy a yummy paleta. These are even better!!! Sure they have the usual: lime, lemon, strawberry, watermelon, strawberry, chocolate and more. Sure they have both ice a milk variety, but they also have special frozen confections such as pepino con chile (cucumber with chile), mango con chile, rice, pistachio, and so many more! I bought a dozen and tried the strawberry and pistachio, and they were both amazingly good. I keep hearing the pepino con limon is even more exciting to the tastebuds, and I cannot wait to pop one in my mouth tomorrow! They are 60 cents for the water based, and 80 cents each for the milk ones. Absolutely love this place! I was bummed when I saw that the brand POPI was no longer available at any store around me, instead it was LA MEXICANA, which I don't like. They do taste different to me. So when I heard about this place selling the POPI paletas, I drove down there and was not disappointed. For the milk based ones I get, it was $10 for the dozen, which I was more than willing to pay.
