This new location has way more room than the original, which makes the whole experience even better. Plus, being able to walk here from my front door? Total win. Service is lackluster. Made it feel like we were intruding vs welcoming. Drinks were really good though! But then it took them 20 mins for a grilled cheese and didn't even apologize for the wait. Made it feel like we were pushy for asking for an update 15 mins in. Grilled cheese was not worth the wait either :( they put whole garlic cloves in it which was kinda gross. The food is okay. The coffees and lattes are also great. Everything is good except the very loud music, blaring at the highest possible range. I've been coming here for a year. It depends on who is working if they will turn it down a couple of notches. Today is was too loud and I got a headache before I finished my bagel and coffee. I asked the young lady to please turn it down. I was the only person there. She turned it down 1/2 a notch on the volume control. I am an older woman mostly very tolerant of high volume..but isn't there a thing as too much volume in a very small coffee shop? I like today's music, so that's not A problem and today was only the 2nd time in a year I've asked tohave it turned. I sometimes house-sit on weekends in Long Beach and randomly came across this spot on DoorDash, so I decided to give it a try. Honestly, I almost wish I hadn't--because now I'm completely hooked. The coffee is perfect--sweet and creamy, exactly how I like it. And the "Next Level Breakfast Sando" truly lives up to its name. It's seriously next level. My only downside is the price--it comes out to about $37 before tip, which adds up fast. But it's so good that I'll definitely keep treating myself to it every now and then. read more

The place is cute and clean, the food was good even though it was pricey with no side with any of their sandwiches. The drinks tasted okay with a better presentation than taste. The staff was very friendly and polite and they answered all of my questions. My recommendation would be to add a side to their meals or lower their prices to stay in business. read more

This is a lovely coffee shop and cafe next to the historic Lafayette Hotel in downtown Long Beach (Broadway & Linden). We learned, from the owner, that they have another location in HB and that this is their second location. They offer a full complement of interesting espresso beverages, as well as pastries and prepared foods for breakfast and lunch. Seating is available inside and outside on the tranquil tree lined street. It was just so pleasant and relaxing to enjoy our coffee here this morning. Only thing is literally everytime you come in it feels like it's 85 degrees and I've noticed no one is even sitting inside anymore. Super cozy, earthy cafe in Long Beach has a warm welcoming vibe. It's a vibey spot to grab a quick coffee and enjoy a peaceful walk down Broadway towards the beach. (Love this part of Long Beach) While I was out running errands, I decided to stop by and treat myself. Stopped by Steadfast Café with my 2-year-old and really liked it here. I got the banana toast, strawberry banana smoothie, next level breakfast sando, and a hot chocolate. Everything was solid. The food was fresh, the smoothie was perfect, and the hot chocolate was really good too. The place is clean, has a nice vibe, and the staff were super friendly. It's also a comfortable spot to sit and relax with a kiddo. Update: Ordered delivery this time for me and my spouse, and it was just as good as dining in. Friendly and down-to-earth neighborhood cafe. Lovely ambiance and good variety of food/drinks to choose from. Stopped by to check out the place before my haircut across the street at Dapper & Dames. I have been to this location when it was a boba tea place, which was nice too. Feel like this place will actually stick longer than any of the other establishments that have been in this location. I ordered their pomegranate tea and an everything bagel. Sat outside to eat/drink. Grabbed an Acai bowl to bring to Zoe and Karla so they can eat in between haircuts. Cool little coffee and brunch spot! There's street parking but make sure to check the sign. The inside is cute and cozy. They have a few tables and chairs. I got Caramelized Banana Matcha and my fiancé got the Brad's Way Iced Shaken Espresso. We both got the Next Level Breakfast Sando. The matcha was okay! I wish it had more matcha flavor though. We were able to get the bogo deal and I got the iced next level espresso sugar free latte. My friend ordered the rose cardamom coffee. My coffee was really good, strong and not too sweet. I'm not sure why they get delivery wrong every time I order here. The first time I ordered for delivery they gave me completely wrong items which they were nice enough to make the correct items which made me give them a second chance. I just did another order for delivery and they missed adding the turkey I paid extra for, and the matcha doesn't even look like matcha, I'm honestly wondering if they even added any as this feels like a rip off considering the price of this. Also they don't secure the bags for delivery to make sure it hasn't been tampered with. I really hope they consider making these issues better. read more

I had to make an account to write this review so please HEAR ME OUT. Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of the food, drinks and the EMPLOYEES of this cafe!! I've been coming here for almost a year until some months back I heard the owner (Brad) boarder line YELLING at his employees in the kitchen telling them they suck at their jobs. I felt so bad for them. And I swear to god whenever he's around, the employees, who normally are so sweet and full of so much personality, go completely mute. It's so scary to see. I couldn't continue to support a business ran by someone like that until a couple weeks ago. I've been coming every few days lately to get work done and ordering a meal just to give my favorite coffee shop with my favorite baristas (Avery, Isom, and Monica) a chance again. And everything was fine until I realized it's really hot in the cafe. For the first few days I figured the employees prefer it warm in there. Until one day it was so hot I couldn't focus on my work so I asked them to turn the thermostat down. Well the barista told me that unfortunately the thermostat is broken.. and I asked if it's been broken for a while and he let me know that it's been a few days. Well it's been over a week since that conversation and I'll let you know that the owners still haven't taken the initiative to FIX THE AIR CONDITIONING about two weeks later!!. It was soooo uncomfortably hot. I can't even IMAGINE how it must feel in the kitchen working over the hot ovens and stoves all day. And the sweet employees were still doing such an amazing job handling customers and their orders with such great care and exceptional service while clearly being hot, physically drained and uncomfortable. It was so hot that they were taking turns standing outside for 2-3 minutes to get air. It made my stomach turn. I don't know if Brad truly values his employees and all of the wonderful work they do keeping these customers happy and coming back. If he did, he would make them being healthy, safe and happy in this extremely busy cafe his first priority. The conditions I witnessed today were unacceptable and inhumane. Today was my last day supporting Steadfast cafe because I couldn't stomach watching these lovely employees being abused by their boss. Brad.. DO BETTER your employees deserve it because they are great people who do great work!! read more

Wow... I monitor my yelpers pretty closely and was already seeing the hype and they have only been open two weeks?! My run group just stormed in this morning and they treated us so well. Fabulous menu options. Everything from basics to their own creations. Every toast I tasted was so yummy. Great seating options. Wonderful wall art. Service was amazing. They treated us so nice and very accommodating. My cappuccino was delicious. Parking is a little rough but worth it. There are a handful of cafes in DTLB that I like, but I don't love. This might be a new favorite. I doordashed a breakfast sandwich this morning and the gluten free sourdough was so good I had to come in for a coffee and ask what they used. He referred me to the cafe and even showed me their ingredient list. My coffee was a bit sweet for me but I definitely picked something sweeter off menu without adjusting sweetness level so I'll try something new next time. I'm happy to support a new spot. In a world where lattes have to be $8 for cafes to stay afloat, service matters a lot to me. Definitely not lacking here. Will be back! read more
