Great customer service. Food was good. I just wish there were more seafood options. Other than that, nice spacious dining. I could see myself here often because I love the vibe here.

I had a great experience overall! Absolutely in love with this cute and Earth toned chic eatery and bakery. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. Nonna breakfast; all were flavorful and well-prepared. The food really stood out. Coffee may not be their strong suit, but thankfully the excellent food more than made up for it. Be prepared for a long wait if you're going for brunch as it gets busy. Still, we'll definitely be back.

To say we are a "regular" is an understatement. We first discovered Nonna many moons ago. We were attracted to their pastries especially their Everything Croissants (it's heavenly). It had become on of our favorite breakfast spots but they also serve lunch and dinner! Food: Their pastries are beyond delicious with lots of sweet and savory options. Fresh baked breads. On occasions they would have baked at home items in their fridge. I always grab way too many things but they're all worth it. For dine in - We tried their pastas, sandwiches, and salads - all delicious! Their yummy lattes are made with in house syrups. Service: Fast and friendly for both dine in and take out. Environment: Great vibes and nice ambiance. Cute covered patio seating with beautiful foliage. Inside there's a drinks and pastries counter for quick pick up or to-go. Notes: Nonna is usually packed so expect long waits for brunch on the weekends. Parking lot in the back is very limited and street parking can be a bit difficult so be aware. Pro tips: Come early and park on the street if you want breakfast or be prepared to wait.

This place was no reservations so we had to wait 30 minutes because it just has patio seating. We waited because it looked really delicious. We all got different milks for our matcha latte and it was delicious. I got the steak and fries but subbed for a salad and I felt like it made the meal perfect. The meat was cooked exactly how I like and it was very easy to eat and spiced perfectly. The focaccia was also very good but would be nice if it came with four instead of three per order. The ambiance is very relaxing and I would definitely want to come back when they do summer nights and have reservations then.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon and there was a bit of a wait, but I heard that is expected here as it is only outdoor seating. This is my first time here and while we were waiting we went inside in the bakery. Such a cute ambiance as there have different food items, wine, olive oils, baked bread, and their famous pastries in there! The line gets long and some of the pastries get sold out right away until they make a new batch. I got the pistachio cream, the ham y formaggio, and the classic kouign amann and the chocolate cake. I also ordered the seasonal drink - lavender matcha. After ordering from the bakery, my party was seated. To start we ordered focaccia, burrata di campagna, and the classic country bread. The focaccia was nice and fluffy. Easy to pull apart and it pairs well with the burrata and tomatoes. The country bread was delicious with the cultured butter and jam (which I think are made here). I ordered the salmon lox - everything bagel topped with a dill cream cheese, smoked salmon, shallots, capers, and topped with basil. It was very rich and filling. The smoked salmon was perfect for me, not too smoky. My boyfriend doesn't like smoky so he didn't like the salmon, but enjoyed the cream cheese. That was my favorite part also! My boyfriend ordered Nonna's breakfast - eggs, bacon, toasted baguette, market lettuces, and seasonal name - with a side of fennel sausage. This meal looked really good. The sunny side up eggs looked nice and runny. I tried the fennel sausage which was really good. The fennel was different. It had nice texture and brought a lot of flavor to the sausage. My boyfriend's brother got the tagliatelle - Nonna ginelli's bolognese, pecorino, and basil. I didn't get to try it but it looked really good. The sauce looked perfect with the bread. He also ordered Spanish latter which wasn't too strong. And my lavender matcha was a nice refresher throughout my meal. It wasn't too florally and perfect enough where you can still taste the matcha. Definitely recommend!

Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen met two of her favorite people here for Sunday lunch. What a delightful and delicious experience! We enjoyed the jam and bittersweet with homemade bread, the quiche, the house made English muffin sandwich; and the Nonna breakfast. We each thought our choices were perfect! We also enjoyed the pistachio/cherry latte. A lovely afternoon spent. Highly recommend. The end.

Came in on a busy Saturday around 1. There was a 30 minute wait. The restaurant is very nice and clean. The restrooms were impeccable. Our server Bekah was very patient, knowledgeable and friendly. We had their Croque Seniora and the Brioche. The Brioche is such a stand out and the ricotta was an excellent complement. The breakfast was delicious; savory but light. I did add bacon which was so crispy, it's a must! I will definitely be back!

My first visit to Nonna Mercato was nice. We went on a weekday and sat on the patio. The patio is in front of a big street but surprisingly it's not loud. There's a covered patio and the aesthetic is pretty and kinda minimalist. Inside the restaurant is the bakery & cafe and merch to purchase. The kitchen is visible from the cafe which I think is pretty neat. The menu was on a one page mat and I went with the Tagliatelle Bolognese and my friend went with the Smoked Salmon Bagel. I also ordered the Spanish latte. I asked if the Spanish latte was sweet and was told it was because sweetened condensed milk so I asked to make it less and I wish I hadn't, it was bland. The entrees were salty for both of us but it wasn't terrible. We did see some other dishes that were brought out to other tables and would like to return to try something else for sure. Our server was great, we asked her about ingredients and she was helpful to find out from the kitchen.

Tried out Nonna Mercato for brunch. It was a lovely experience I ordered the Iced Pecan latte and the croque seniora. My friend and I also split a pecan matcha croissant for dessert. The coffee was good but I couldn't really taste the pecan. Aside from that it was still pretty tasty and I enjoyed it with my food. The croissant was also delicious. You can really taste the matcha and pecan. It was also very fluffy and big size. I would say however if you're not big on sweets try a different pastry as this one is a little more on the sweet end which I personally enjoyed. They all looked delicious though so no worries about that. Now the main star was the croque seniora. It was a croissant with ham and egg on top that came with a side salad. The side salad was delicious. The added just enough cheese to go with the salad. The sandwich was also great the eggs were runny and the croissants mixed well with all the ingredients. I would recommend trying out their food as they do well in both sweet and savory dishes. The workers were also on top of it. They were checking on us and making sure we were doing well. The location itself is also cute with mostly outside seating and an indoor space to purchase pastries. Very nice place overall.

It's been awhile, maybe a year or so, that I visited here! I received my birthday $5 off email and voila! I came on 3/31 Thank you for the reminder, Nonna's! I missed you! It's always crowded, but you can find a seat and enjoy a cup of drip + a pick-apart-apple fritter and soak up their ambience on the patio. Their baked goodies are all scrumptious and delicious! The baked delicacies menu has grown, and you're going to find new items and take them home! Thank you!

Perfect lunch spot to chit chat with friends! The food is delicious but what sets Nonna Mercato apart from the rest is the atmosphere. Such a relaxing vibe to sit out on the patio underneath all the greenery with beautiful pastries and lattes at your table. We didn't realized the kitchen closed a couple hours before 6pm so we arrived with only 2 mins before the kitchen closed. They still sat us and were so polite and friendly! We made sure to give a big tip for holding them up before close. Really nice staff, lovely ambiance, and delicious food. Can't go wrong!

Has a European flair. Great outdoor dining similar to Sunset blvd. without the paparazzi. The pistachio brioche was to die for. Oops, ate before taking a picture. I also had the Italian muffin which was huge. Fennel sausage with scrambled egg and farmers cheese. I'm majorly ADHD. Half way through I realized I hadn't taken a picture. Thus the 1/2 eaten sandwich. It was so good. My daughter-in-love invited us down for brunch, so worth the drive. Buon appetito!

My friend took me here for lunch because it's her favorite restaurant, and now I'm going to be craving it all the time. The pastas are made fresh and you can really feel the love and care they put into the food. I haven't had pasta this yummy since I was in Italy. I loved the meatballs so much, I wish I ordered another. The star was the bread that comes with the meatballs though!!! We waited about 30 minutes when we got there at 12:30 and loved the quick and attentive service. The weather was also great that day, so I really enjoyed sitting outside to enjoy the cute restaurant vibe. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Long Beach.

The pastries were yummy but the coffee was so disappointing. We also grabbed an olive sourdough bread to go which we enjoyed.

Ask the Community - Nonna Mercato

Are there any gluten free options?

Do they take reservations for brunch?

I don't think this place does reservation.

Are you open for dinner? Also do you make pizza?

They are not open for dinner, only breakfast and lunch. They do offer a special "summer nights" prefixed menu for dinner, reservation only, during summer, which just ended in Sept. and they do not have pizza.

    Are dogs allowed in patio?

    Yes!

For the summer nights dinner, do you serve wine? Can we bring our own bottle?

Hi, yes we do serve wine. You can also bring your own wine. We have a $25 corkage fee per bottle, 2 bottle max

What is the peanut little drink?

It's my favourite drink there! It's an espresso based drink with peanut butter. It is creamy and rich, almost a dessert more than anything.

If I'm gluten free would I be able to enjoy the 4 course dinner?

Hi there, yes we have gluten free options 😊

    Do they serve mimosas?

They have some great spritz drinks.

I hope they have delivery. If not can they offer it?

Is the pistachio matcha croissant stuffed with a pistachio cream or any cream? or is it just dipped in matcha cream with pistachio on top?

Hi Sam! The matcha croissant is just dipped. We look forward to seeing you soon!

    Do you take cake orders?

    I heard that they do!

Are any of the pastries vegan?

The cake its self was delicious! With so many flavors it was definitely hard to choose from. I especially loved the delivery service made everything a breeze while I cooked for my party and didn't need to worry about picking up a cake. I see a lot of bad reviews about customer service but honestly it just sounded like a lot of back and forth with customers who weren't ready to spend money on something unique. Art is unique and not everyone can make something so special. (Mind you the cake was well under $200!) I know lots of places that charge for lots more that may have nice designs but not great tasting cake! I will order time and time again, I definitely recommend these wonderful people for ALL cake occasions.

I am helping my sister plan her son's 5th birthday party so I asked this company their pricing with an example photo. It was a little outside of our budget so I asked if we can get any sort of discount in which they replied. That is totally okay to not budge on your price but with that being said it is my right to get quotes elsewhere. They were very pushy and took it upon themselves to double text and say 1) they won't do business with me 2) they won't provide me with quotes 3) and saying I should go to a cheaper bakery 4) telling me "good bye" Furthermore when they first sent me a text starting they will not provide me any more quotes I understood as I am sure to not get an order for me was frustrating. So I replied saying sorry and that it wasn't up to me as it wasn't my money. However them further sending me another text that I should find a "cheaper cake, goodbye, we don't want your business" was VERY CHILDISH. I thought it was extremely uncalled for. I looked at the other reviews and see rudeness is apart of their pattern. From 3 years ago up until 19 days ago. Do better and speak to people professionally!
