This review is solely based on their kebab wrap... Place is quaint the people are very nice. I was hoping for a chicken shawarma wrap, but they do not have. Instead guy sold me on a chicken kebab wrap, saying the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, like most wraps are, it was dry. The sauce was a bit sour and tasted more like mayonnaise than anything else. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp. The pita was slightly toasted and not chewy at all, which I prefer, but it did tear immediately because how thin it was. All in all, not that impressive. I also ordered a vanilla latte that was not very good. I do realize this place is not a cafe, but I had hoped for better. The rave reviews must be either people aren't familiar with good wraps or their other food is better. read more

Great little spot in Pasadena for kebabs. Neighboring Glendale has better for sure but this is a great local spot. The beef and lulu were great. It has a very small inside dining area as well as outside; more of a takeout situation, but still charming. There's only two spots for parking behind the store so likely need to street park. Service was very friendly and generous! They asked if I had ever been before and when I answered no, they gave me a free dessert. You can tell they've been in the neighborhood for a while and have their regulars. Only downside is I wish they gave more rice or pitas for the price. It is $20 for a chicken plate and I understand prices are up for everyone, but with the two plates we ordered totaling over $50, it would be difficult to come here as much as the owners want and deserve. read more

I've been meaning to try green street cafe for a while and I'm sad I didn't try it sooner. The kebabs were delicious!! The beef steak and lula were so juicy and flavorful! The chicken was good too but I liked the beef ones better. If you are new, I highly recommend you get the combo so you can try a bit of everything. Totally worth it! The hummus was rich and creamy and the grilled veggies were super good too. They have outdoor seating so I look forward to walking over with my dog next time instead of doing pick up! There is plenty of free street parking on green street. Highly recommend! read more

Solid Mediterranean food. The fattoush was l fresh and well dressed. There isn't a lot of room to hide if you aren't using quality ingredients. The lettuce was fresh, the tomatoes were ripe, and the dressing had a great flavor. The fried pita on top was thin, crispy perfection. The falafel platter was solid. Falafel were well seasoned, crispy on the outside, and moist on the inside. Th hummus and pita were also good. I heard the tabouli was outstanding, I didn't try it. Came here for the first time today and I'll definitely be back. Everything was cooked so well especially the chicken and steak. Usually at other places they tend to be kind of dry or lack in flavor, but I loved their's here! My husband enjoyed the chicken and steak a lot as well. I believe the place is family owned from the vibes I got when I walked in - I ordered online through DoorDash and I believe who was the owner told me it's better to order online directly through them because they charge more on DoorDash. She didn't have to inform me of that, but she took the time to which I appreciated. I always drive by this place and finally decided to try it today - and now I'm sad I didn't try it sooner! This place is so good. Clean, simple, quality ingredients cooked to perfection ... all I'm sad about is that I ate my food too fast (I was hunnngery!!!) so I am no longer eating it (haha). Their matcha late stands up to coffee & tea houses. Genuinely and surprisingly good. Chicken is juicy, moist, & bursting with flavor. The pita was fresh, the garlic sauce was delicious, veggies were flavorful ... the platonic ideal of a chicken kebab pita, I dare say. To create something simple, and execute it well, is true skill. The outdoor patio is a delightful reprieve from the summer heat. The people who helped me were all friendly, attentive, & welcoming. Their Falafel is fantastic!!! We got a side of it with the Chicken Kebab Plate. The Falafel looks like fried donuts and has the perfect crispiness to it and tastes so good with their garlic sauce and hummus!! Their pita bread was so warm and soft and complimented everything well. The rice they use is delicious and flavored and textured so well!! We sat outside but unfortunately fell victim to some mosquitoes. It is a nice setting outside with their lights and you get a little view of the mountain. The small disco light was a little too much though. Service is a little lacking only cause it's a couple running things. We asked for water (and we had biked here so I was extra thirsty) and after 10min, had to ask again. Horrible overpriced food, ordered 2 Fatouch salads with chicken for delivery paid $20.25 per salad with delivery fee total was over $48.00 (local delivery). Received a tiny salad with mostly toasted pita bread, chicken was 8 tiny, chopped pieces (counted). Called as spoke to the manager who could care less about his food or his delivery. We asked for utensil's also nowhere to be found. So disappointed save your money and order from ZANKOU much better than this crap!!!! read more

Both the lula and chicken kebabs were tender. The garlic mayo needed a bit more garlic but overall the food was great. This is a great restraunt for lunch or dinner. Their kebab plates are very filling and leave you stuffed. Their wraps are great for a smaller meal that still fills you up. All of their food is delicious and well balanced. I greatly enjoyed their protein shakes, especially the RazzleDazzle which a sweet treat on a hot day. They have a few tables inside and then more outside, in the shade which when the weather isnt the breaking heat records makes for a great outside seating area. The proprietors are friendly and very helpful, going out of their way to make the experience enjoyable. The only parking available is street parking, which in this area isn't too bad, so finding a spot nearby should be easy. read more

Great food, service, and location. I had some time to kill between doctor appointments and decided to grab a bite and a cup of matcha. The cafe was situated between the two offices, which was convenient. Anyway, both the drink and the food were great. I had a falafel wrap and an iced matcha. I love tzatziki, so I ordered a bit on the side. It had chunky pieces of cucumbers in it. Never been served tzatziki like that before. It was great! Will definitely be going back soon. read more

I'm in shock that the "veggie plate" doesn't come with any veggies or rice and I paid $19 for hummus and tabbouleh (I left a $2 tip since I ordered to go). I truly feel like I got robbed. I couldn't be more disappointed to open this when I arrived back at work. When I called them I was told I wasn't given rice because it has chicken broth (I wouldn't mind) and the veggies were considered the Romain lettuce under my tabbouleh. read more

Given we were displaced due to the Eaton Cyn fires we ended up in an apartment down the street from Green Street Cafe. While we have driven by it many times due to living in the area, we never explored going there. We walked there from our apartment to check it out and OMG we were SOOO glad we did. This is a husband and wife team that take tremendous pride in their food and service. Their chicken kabob plates were delicious. Most important, they are such a wonderful couple. We enjoy stopping to say hello when walking in the neighborhood. We will miss seeing them on a regular basis when we move back to our home, however, we will definitely get food to go!! Friendly service. Ordered the chicken kabob plate. Food was ok--a bit underwhelming. Chicken was tasty and pita was warm and soft. Hummus was a bit on the runny side. Garlic sauce lacked garlic flavor and was more akin to garlic aioli than toum. Rice was a bit overcooked. Overall ok...the restaurant is very small with 3 indoor tables and a few on the covered "patio". Street and lot parking available. read more

Came here to grab a quick bite before our dinner reservation at the sushi place across the street. My friends and I got some hummus to share and we were asked not to sit in front of the place if we were waiting for the sushi restaurant even though we had purchased food. The hummus was delicious and fresh, but definitely felt uncomfortable being asked not to enjoy our food in front of the restaurant. Contemplating coming back as the food is delicious, but the service was questionable. Definitely understand not using their tables to wait for our reservations, but we were paying customers.
