Delicious food and excellent service in a nice and pleasant ambiance. Been ordering catering from them for a few years and grabbing take out but finally did a dine in. Food is amazing as always! Brought a friend and it became her fav Mediterranean restaurant. Love love their kibbeh! Meats are seasoned well and tender! From their chicken , luleh kebab to the filet. So good! We love their combo plate! Their tabouleh too, onions are not overpowering like some places. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. So willing to work with you. Portions are so generous! I can get 3 meals out of one of their plates! 2 if I'm really hungry! Run by a sweet family that treats everyone like family. Every time I've done catering with them I always have people ask me for their contact info. If you've never been, you're missing out! They also have a huge room you can book for parties.

I went to Raffi's for the first time and it was so delicious! Everything was cooked so well and so flavorful/ The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. What makes it the best is the service. This is a family owned business and they truly care for and really take care of their customers. They have so many regulars, showing that it's a place people love coming back to. I can't wait to try more of their food! Thank you!

Nice outdoor patio seating where my family and I could enjoy our combination family style meal. It came with a good variety of meats and sides. Babaganoush and Kibbeh were great appetizers! Little hard to get the attention of waiters sometimes because they seemed to keep disappearing inside the restaurant for long periods of time, but very delicious food!

So tasty. If you're coming with a bigger party and planning to share, ask them to assemble family style and all the meats will be placed together on top of their naan/thin flatbread. Soaks up all that goodness!!! Stand out meats were definitely the chicken thigh and lamb rack + ground beef stick. Super flavorful and will not be disappointed. Their garlic dip on our chicken plate was tangy with a punch but complimented everything well. The rice was decent but my family loved their fries. Can ask for ranch.

Pre-formed meat patty. Not sliced from the spit like described on the menu

Is it an honest mistake? Perhaps....but having 2 misleading item descriptions on the 2 items I ordered seems like too much of a coincidence. I like gyro and it's getting increasingly rare to find true gyro that is roasted on a spit and then sliced. Most restaurants now are using deli meat like preformed meat to save cost. That is fine, but don't describe your product to be something it is not. I feel tricked into ordering this. I had to throw it away after 2 bites. But wait, there's more. My combo plate did not contain the beef filet that is described in their menu. Instead, it is replaced by a top round or similarly chewy cut of beef. It is perfectly fine to use top round for kebab and I'm sure many places do. The problem is when you lie to your customers, causing them to order an item which they might not have done prior to being mislead. I wasted almost $60 dollars on this, so I felt obligated to let others know.

Our women's ministry at church held their annual Christmas luncheon here. I didn't know this place had such a pretty and private banquet hall. It's great for small to medium sized parties. The food is served family style. Pretty standard Mediterranean food. The eggplant dip was the stand out dish. The chicken was pretty good too. They didn't bring out garlic sauce but were really accommodating about bringing us a little when we asked. Just wish it came standard. Even though we were told we could ask for more of the dishes we liked, they didn't refill. I also had to keep asking them to refill our sodas. Nothing was a deal breaker but the food is ok for the area it's in.

To tired (and busy working on never ending house stuff) to make dinner. Sooo, my AWESOME wife remembered this Mediterranean Restaurant which we never got a chance to go because the wait was way too long for dinner on a Friday night. Well, we made it today for a late lunch/early dinner and it was empty but the front counter was extremely busy with large takeout orders (very good sign) . Bottom line, the food was AMAZING and portions were large, hence a midnight "snack" is ready and waiting for an encore!!!!

Raffi's Catering and Banquet in Sierra Madre - This spot serves up some solid food, and they've got a banquet hall you can rent if you've got an event. I stopped by the other day for a quick lunch and went with the combo kebab plate so I could try a little of everything. The plate came loaded with beef, chicken, and lule kebabs--almost too much food to finish! The beef was definitely the standout--grilled perfectly, tender, and not dry at all. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, and I left stuffed. I'd definitely come back, but next time I'll probably grab it to-go.

Everything here was solid. The tzatziki with bread was a great way to start, and the beef kabob was my favorite super flavorful and tasted a lot like carne asada. Portions are generous enough to share, which is a plus. Even though the place gets busy, the service moves quickly. If you haven't tried this spot yet, you should.

Went on a sunday in early p.m. we sat outside and it was a really nice cozy family seating. The staff makes you feel like family very generous and very nice. The prices are very affordable compared to Mediterranean in SoCal. Would recommend for sure over competitors.

Ask the Community - Raffi's Catering and Banquet

Is this the same owner as Raffis Place in Glendale?

They are two different restaurants. Raffi's Place in Glendale, at 211 E. Broadway, is the famous Persian restaurant. Its own history says it was founded in 1993 by Rafik Bakijanian and his wife Gohar Bakijanian. The Bakijanian family has operated it…

If I order the meat (beef, chicken etc) by pound, does it come with rice, grill tomato and chili? Or do I need to order the rice, grill tomato and chili separately? Please clarify. I would like to order for weekend. Thanks.

Hi! The pounds come with rice, pickles, marinated onions and pita bread The grilled veggies are separate (:

How much is the price for the banquet hall for 100 people?

Hi! It all depends on the day, timing etc Message us and we’ll Send something over (510) 629-1106

Is your food is halal?

Only our lamb!

Is this a catering only restaurant?

Hi! Nope! we have catering, dine in, Togo, and a banquet hall as well! (:

How many pounds of meat is in a tray?

You can order by the pound

Can we place an catering order for Same day delivery?

Yes you can! If it's a big order (20 +) it would be best to call 2 hours before just to give good timing to get the order ready and done!

Hello! Do you have a small, private dining room available for about 16 people?

We have a bigger area hall that fits about 160 people & then we have the restaurant area we can close off for a private event that fits up to 60 people and can accommodate 16 people.

I think the lamb plate used to be around $12.50 to $13.00. Now it's $19.00. That is a 46% increase. How do you justify such an increase now that Covid restrictions have eased? It seemed your take-out business was doing well during shutdown.

Hi! Our lamb plate is not $19 at our restaurant , the price of the lamb plate is $14 (of course plus tax) it was $13 before - I can send over our menu prices if you'd like to email us at raffiscatering@yahoo.com or if you'd like to come in and check…

Is Raffi's under new management?

We are not under new management. Have been the same since we opened this place almost 11 years ago!

Is this the same place as the one in Glendale?

No the one in Glendale is Persian, this one is Authentic Lebanese Armenian food

What happened to your prices? I can't seem to find prices only what seems are grubhub prices that I imagine are hiked up. Your plates were always reasonable.

Our prices on grub hub differ than the restaurant prices because it's a third party. There's prices on Raffiscatering.com…

Is this place affiliated with Raffi's place in glendale?

they are not .. in my opinion this one is better than the one in Glendale

How is the chicken Shawerma here? Is it breast meat?

i dont think they have shawerma , neither beef nor chicken

Not only do we have to chaperone the visiting friends to tourist hot spots that we generally avoid in everyday life; but even the restaurants we choose as dining options need to be positioned on a perfect pedestal that impresses but is still comfortable. A very close friend of mine from Nashville visits the City of Angels once a year; and I always feel the stress to impress in regards to dining. In 2026, we decided on a more casual dinner than our usual upscale entertainments and opted for Pasadena. Of course, I turned to Yelp and that is how I discovered Café Santorini. Café Santorini has been a favorite dining option in the Old Pasadena neighborhood of Pasadena since 1993 on the intersection of West Union and De Lacey (a block from Colorado Blvd) nestled in one of the famous historic red-brick buildings with alley alcoves that makes Old Pasadena so beloved. Café Santorini encapsulates European love that is as warm as its bricks uniting the culinary richness of Italy, Greece and Morocco in semi-upscale/trendy real estate with iron railings, high ceilings, exposed brickwork, duct beams and glossy wood surfaces that is both inviting and will absolutely entice tourists and residents, alike. Whether seeking indoor dining bar-adjacent with tables or booths or the lovely outdoor second-floor patio alcove overlooking the plant-filled alleys below; Café Santorini is quite pleasant on the eyes. My Nashville-based friend and I made a reservation for an early dinner at 4pm on a Saturday and Café Santorini was already filled to the gills and bustling with activity (granted, there was a Guns n Roses concert at the nearby Rose Bowl in the evening). Opting to sit outdoors due to the loud volume in the dining room; we had a perfect ratio of casual and date-worthy. Café Santorini is seamless with its 'vibe'. To begin the evening, we opted for some cocktails with a Smoke and Citrus Paloma (grapefruit and lime juice, smoked sea salt agave syrup and soda water, alcohol free at $12 but I made it alcoholic with mezcal) for me while my friend ordered a traditional margarita on the rocks (no salt) as we gazed the menu and also decided on sharing a Grape Leaves appetizer (rice, herbs, tomato paste - $16). If you are Celiac like myself and need gluten-free options, Café Santorini is AMAZING in its GF options (also dairy free and vegan dishes) with more choices than usual competitor restaurants which that alone makes it stand out from the crowd. Our drinks arrived in classy and colorful derivations with my paloma holding a seducing orange hue akin to a setting California sun with dried rosemary and dried fruit with the margarita being perfectly yellow-ish green with a dried lime. My paloma was delicious with an ideal combination of sweet to alcohol and smoke with the margarita being refreshing and tangy. I am quite picky with grape leaves having friends from the Middle East living in the US but Café Santorini's grape leaves (5 pieces) are delicious both in texture and flavor without being too bitter which is sometimes the case. For dinner I chose the Branzino (Grilled Mediterranean sea bass, lemon Greek potatoes, dill, capers- $42) while my friend wasn't super famished and decided on Greek Salad Horiatiki (Valdivia Farms tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, Anaheim peppers, red onions, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, lemon juice - $17). One of my favorite details of Café Santorini is their capacity to present elegant dishes that are still simple and not pretentious on plateware that encompasses Greece itself with colorful mosaic prints and painted motifs. The ingredients are fresh, colorful and artfully displayed. My Branzino was faultless: grilled perfectly with charred grill marks and crispy skin (large filet) with capers and fresh dill with fingerling potatoes based under the fish soaking up the lemon juices. Delightful! The Greek Salad Horiatiki allowed the garden-fresh veggies to truly shine even with the lemon juice/oil and large piece of feta making it a perfect summer option. Service at Café Santorini is friendly and a family-like atmosphere with every staff member acknowledging you as you saunter by, answering all questions and constantly smiling. Café Santorini is an overall pleasant joy of an experience. Whether you need to impress out-of-state friends or simply seeking Mediterranean fare in Old Pasadena; Café Santorini is a musty-try for a casual meets elegance dining experience.

The food was a complete disaster. Somehow it managed to arrive looking tired, tasting worse, and costing enough to make me question every decision that led me through the front door. I've had gas-station food prepared with more care. Then there was the bus boy. I'm still trying to figure out how someone whose job is supposed to help keep the dining room running smoothly managed to make the experience even more uncomfortable. The attitude was unbelievable. Apparently basic courtesy was not included with the meal. But the real highlight was the owner. You'd think someone who owns a restaurant would understand that hospitality involves actually caring about the people spending money in the establishment. Instead, the attitude was dismissive and completely uninterested in making a bad situation better. If this is how the owner handles unhappy customers, the rest of the experience suddenly makes perfect sense. And then they brought the bill. That was probably the funniest part of the evening. The prices belonged to a restaurant offering an exceptional dining experience. Unfortunately, nobody told the food, the bus boy, or the owner. I came in expecting dinner. I left feeling like I had paid admission to an expensive lesson about where never to eat again. Save your money. Save your appetite. Most importantly, save yourself the aggravation.
