There's few simple luxuries as eating the best of Europe outdoors in the sunny California. Friendly and inviting place! Maybe it's my gray day Indiana mood finding the daily sunshine too good to handle, or the handcrafted dishes, could be easy going family cooking up the best of old school ingredients, as explained preparation begins as we ordered! No dishes pulled out and heated up, fresh flavors bounced off each bite! That hummus, it is all here to treat and show off what real food love looks and goes down like. We all grabbed various menu items, basic gyro wrap for me. Didn't realize how processed lamb kebab meat is! Here, there's a hamburger appearance, not that spit stuff, and enjoyable meaty goodness. All seven of us couldn't stop trying each dish and really, check out those photos then come here! Stop reading, come try this place.

We found this deep in the Yelp results and tried it for the first time tonight. The food was incredible, even better than I expected, and the service even better. When we arrived, it was a little hard to find in the dark, but I am so glad that we did! The owner was very friendly and the server was super helpful. Excellent. Small town restaurant feel, and the food was so flavorful and perfectly seasoned. We had a perfect evening. We will be back!

The place was empty when we came for dinner. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised that the food was not heavy, tasted fresh and really exceeded my expectations overall. It definitely left us wanting to try more. Once I took a bite of the spanakopita, I knew this place was special.

My husband and I came by for lunch and we were so impressed by the quality of the food here. This place really hits the spot and transported us back to the amazing food experience we had in Greece! We felt like our Greek uncle served us food straight from his own kitchen. Amazing! Highly recommend.

Lula Kebab Skewer no salt or seasoning, rubbery, it taste like eating old meat that have been reheated.

My boyfriend had the falafel wrap, and I had the beef Shawarma wrap. Each were accompanied by Toum garlic sauce/paste and spicy Harissa sauce. Both were delicious and included a side dish. He had a green salad and I had the yummy smokey baba ghanoush. We both took on what we couldn't eat because it was a good size portion. Less than $20 per sandwich Good quality napkins! (Special thanks for that.) Free parking in the rear. The server who helped us was very friendly and helpful, too. There's plenty of indoor seating, although it was a little warm inside. They also have a large TV that sometimes plays sports games, which is a nice bonus. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and while there weren't many dine-in customers when I visited, there were plenty of to-go orders coming through. Parking is conveniently located around the back. My only real complaint was that the pita was a little stale, but it wasn't enough to keep me from returning. I'd definitely come back to try some of their other meats.

Cafe Santorini Review: A Charming Rooftop Restaurant in Pasadena…read more If you're looking for a restaurant in Pasadena with a beautiful rooftop patio, a lively atmosphere, and a variety of Mediterranean dishes, Cafe Santorini is a great option! I visited on a Wednesday night with friends. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a gorgeous evening. The rooftop setting, warm lighting, and lively ambiance made the experience feel special. I would definitely recommend requesting a terrace table, especially when the weather is nice. Our service was friendly, attentive, and professional. The menu is extensive, with Greek specialties, Mediterranean dishes, and pizzas. Reservations are recommended for busy evenings and preferred patio seating. Food Review -- Ranked from Favorite to Least Favorite Cioppino Santorini -- Favorite! The standout dish of the night! The tomato broth was rich, savory, and incredibly flavorful, with a delicious sauce that was perfect for dipping bread. The seafood tasted fresh, and every spoonful was satisfying. Definitely a must-order. Red Curry Seafood Risotto Loaded with mussels and clams and packed with flavor. The sauce was rich and delicious, making this another favorite. Branzino The fish was beautifully prepared, with crispy golden-brown skin and moist, tender flesh. Served over fingerling potatoes, with dill and capers adding a nice contrast to the fish. Very enjoyable. 4 Beef Brochette Tender beef cooked just right. A good option if you prefer meat over seafood. 5 Santorini Mezze Tasting A generous assortment of babaganoush, radish, feta, dolma, hummus, and tabbouleh, served with pita. The portion was large enough for approximately 4-5 people to share. Everything tasted fresh, and the dips were creamy. However, I personally found the hummus and babaganoush a little too salty. My friends loved the platter, so this may come down to personal preference. 6 Peach Please Decent, but nothing particularly memorable. 7 Gelato -- Vanilla & Chocolate The least impressive item for me. It was just okay, and I wouldn't order it again. Final Verdict What I loved: The rooftop terrace, lively ambiance, friendly service, and flavorful seafood dishes. What to order: Cioppino Santorini, Red Curry Seafood Risotto, and Branzino. What was less impressive: Peach Please and the vanilla/chocolate gelato. The mezze platter was also a little too salty for my taste, although my friends enjoyed it. Overall, Cafe Santorini is a lovely place for dinner with friends, date night, or a special evening out in Pasadena. The atmosphere is a major highlight, and several of the seafood dishes were genuinely delicious. I'd happily return for the rooftop dining experience and my favorite dishes! Pro tip: Request a terrace table and make a reservation if you're visiting during a busy evening.

The food was a complete disaster. Somehow it managed to arrive looking tired, tasting worse, and costing enough to make me question every decision that led me through the front door. I've had gas-station food prepared with more care. Then there was the bus boy. I'm still trying to figure out how someone whose job is supposed to help keep the dining room running smoothly managed to make the experience even more uncomfortable. The attitude was unbelievable. Apparently basic courtesy was not included with the meal. But the real highlight was the owner. You'd think someone who owns a restaurant would understand that hospitality involves actually caring about the people spending money in the establishment. Instead, the attitude was dismissive and completely uninterested in making a bad situation better. If this is how the owner handles unhappy customers, the rest of the experience suddenly makes perfect sense. And then they brought the bill. That was probably the funniest part of the evening. The prices belonged to a restaurant offering an exceptional dining experience. Unfortunately, nobody told the food, the bus boy, or the owner. I came in expecting dinner. I left feeling like I had paid admission to an expensive lesson about where never to eat again. Save your money. Save your appetite. Most importantly, save yourself the aggravation. I wouldn't come back if the meal were free.

Family owned and operated; Corfu specializes in Mediterranean food. This friendly neighborhood restaurant is small and quaint and the staff are warm and welcoming, especially Ryan & Maribel who took excellent care of us during our visit. I was curious to try the Muhammara (a dip made of crushed walnuts & red pepper paste.) I've never had it before, but it was particularly good. The fresh warm pita & Muhammara was a delightful combination. I couldn't stop eating it. The Greek Salad was a generous serving comprised of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, kalamata olives, & feta. It was plenty for us to share and the dressing was light and not overwhelming. They don't have a full bar. My friend tried two beers. One from Lebanon (Almaza) and another from Greece (Hillas). He liked them both. I had a glass of sparkling wine, which paired well with my meal. The background music was enjoyable and added to the ambience. I didn't realize it was coming from musicians who were playing out front. Ryan informed me that they perform Friday, Saturday, & Sunday evenings. Overall, it was a pleasant experience from beginning to end. I'm grateful for the recommendation and look forward to returning. *Street parking or lot in back.

Was craving a good sandwich in the Pasadena area and found this place on Yelp. Good reviews so decided to try it. Sorry but sorely disappointed. Got two things: Garlic chicken sandwich and Beef Lule wrap. Garlic chicken sandwich was pretty good. There was a decent amount of the garlic sauce which made it tasty. But after a while the garlic after taste becomes too much. If you try this place this is the sandwich to get. In Yelp photos there are a lot of this sandwich so it's popular. We shred this one so after only half the sandwich, I felt it was enough garlic taste. The other item we got was a Beef Lule wrap. It was pretty messy and the pita bread was incredibly soggy and fell apart. I just don't have wraps come out like that. The meat was ok but the whole thing was dry. It was made like a sandwich but in a wrap and it just didn't work for me. It seems like it needs Tzatziki sauce or something. I just thought it could have been a much better wrap. You need to keep it in the wrapper because it just falls apart. I don't recommend this thing. Stick with the popular items towards the top of the list on the menu.
