COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. None of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. The kitchen staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor seating available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was dining here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is small, and it's shared with several other establishments. Some parking spots are smaller than others, so be careful where you park. Food: I ordered the fish cake and pad see ew. The fish cakes or patties were hot, spicy, soft, tender, juicy, and packed full of flavor. It came with a side of diced cucumber and crushed peanuts in the sweet and chili sauce for you dip your fish cakes in. They were massive, and so fricken good! I highly recommend ordering it. Next, I ordered the chicken pad see ew. Good portion. The pad see ew was a combo of savory, sweet, and slightly sour tasting. The chicken was slightly chargrilled, so it brought a nice smoky flavor to the juicy and tender chicken. The noodles were soft and bouncy. The Chinese broccoli was super soft, savory, and lightly salted. Overall, it was an excellent meal. Staff: The staff here are very attentive, kind, friendly, and welcoming. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is a $10 credit card minimum.

3 stars I always want to like and support small businesses and this is one I spotted on my way to HomeGoods, so I decided to stop by. My usual test order is Pad Thai, so this was what I ordered...and, unfortunately, I thought the noodles were too hard and the sauce a bit too sour for my liking. I also got a Thai tea and I thought it was ok-tasting. Prices are similar to other Thai restaurants. Interior is clean and comfortable.

So I really enjoyed this Thai place. Was a bit of a drive but we were in the area I was worried the food was gonna be cold by the time we got home especially since we took the street but it was super hot still thank you for making your food extra hot. It even burned my daughters. leg while she carried it so be careful and set it down. Pad Thai had good flavor good balance of sweet and the tang. Orange chicken had a perfect crisp with the perfect flavor. Fried rice was very good flavor magolian beef was soft good portions. Fresh rolls were different lettuce was a bit out of the roll but that peanut sauce was perfection and just made them delicious. Prices were ok unless you get chicken you have to pay an extra fee for the rest. I would come back though.

Going out to eat doesn't have to end up being expensive as long as you are willing to share the main dish and a side. I ordered Thai tea, chicken pad Thai, and a side of steamed rice. I enjoyed the tea it was really good and the pad Thai was more than enough for two people. The only thing missing was the crushed peanuts on the pad Thai which always enhances the flavor. There were more people picking up to go orders than they were eating inside.

Brilliant food and brilliant price. The restaurant is small with six four seat tables. We came in on a Friday evening (7pm) and there was no one there. Ordered a small tom ka soup and papaya salad, and they were delish! The lady serving us was super sweet and attentive. If you're ever at the Santa Anita mall in arcadia, this restaurant is about 3 miles away and definitely worth a visit!

The best crab fried rice in SGV! Kua Kai is 10/10. Not greasy like other restaurants. Definitely come back again.

My server was very attentive and came by to check on me often, even when the restaurant started to get a little busy. My dish was the pad thai with chicken, that came with soup, salad, egg roll. The noodles were delicious, and the egg roll was fresh. The soup was surprisingly filling so I ended up taking most of the lunch home. The prices were very reasonable and I think my food (including Thai Iced Tea) with tip was under $25, which is pretty much a steal. Plus, I love the ambiance (or is it aesthetic as the young ones call it?). It's a very calming place. Highly recommend!

It's a cozy, family-run spot right across from Target, and everything we ordered was packed with fresh, bold flavors that actually taste authentic. The portions are seriously generous--I always end up with leftovers for lunch the next day and it's usually even better the next day! The staff is super friendly and attentive, the vibe is casual and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable, especially compared to some other spots in Pasadena. If you're in the Playhouse District or just craving real Thai food done right, do yourself a favor and stop in. We'll definitely be back soon--it's in our regular rotation of favorite restaurants in Pasadena. Highly recommend. My one and only complaint... they used to offer a dessert called a Croffle. A pastry cross between a croissant and waffle, with bananas, chocolate and whipped cream. It was seriously delicious and I wish they'd bring it back!

They were all gloriously drool-worthily divine!! Likely the most flavorful of these dishes that I've ever tried at a Thai restaurant to date! Completely exceeded all my expectations!! And the portions were so generous! We were so occupied stuffing ourselves silly, that we completely forgot to make room for dessert! And we still had a ton of leftovers to take home! I love this place so much already! Super friendly and attentive staff. Gorgeous decor with an appreciative traditional feel. Limited parking in lot, but it looks like the regulars prefer parking on the street out front when we were leaving. Already planning to return next time our Thai craving hits to try more of their yummy dishes! Highly recommend!!

We waited around 30 minutes to order and get our food and there were quite a few people in the store when we went on a weekend around 7 PM. We ordered the fried rice with chicken and pad Thai. The portions looked relatively small, but filled us up perfectly. We were a party of three but only ordered two entrée since we weren't that hungry. The fried rice was not too salty and was very well balanced, and the cucumbers added an amazing freshness. The pad Thai had a strong acidity to it, but we enjoyed the crispy pork belly it came with. Both of the entrées were not too oily or greasy. The rest of their menu looked amazing and I hope to be back to try it soon. They also have Thai tea which I am a sucker for, so I'll definitely be back to try that too. Overall, I'd recommend this place for some delicious, casual Thai food and good vibes.

I got their Spicy Shrimp Pad Thai and omg... it was lowkey one of the best pad thai I've had in a WHILE. And I don't say that lightly because I'm picky picky when it comes to pad thai. It's literally the one dish I always order at any Thai restaurant, so my standards is kinda up there. But also... this was in the middle of the desert at a music festival so ngl I didn't have high hopes lol. But their Spicy Shrimp Pad Thai was so good!! The flavor was super authentic, spicy, tangy, just hitting all the right notes. The noodles had that perfect chewiness, not clumped together so they know exactly what they doing with their food! The shrimp were big and tasted fresh and all the toppings: bean sprouts, grounded peanuts, and lime, just brought everything together so nicely. Also the staff were super sweet and friendly, and I got my food in likes 5 minutes, gave me more enough time to sit down and enjoy my pad thai while waiting for Sabrina Carpenter's stage setup. Miya's Pad Thai completely won me over at Coachella, it's sooo good to the point where now I actually wanna go visit the real restaurant if I'm ever around the Altadena area.

We ordered the tom yum noodle soup, pork collar, papaya salad, shrimp ceviche, and the captain whatever curry. Unfortunately, the tom yum noodle soup and the curry were especially underwhelming. Both dishes lacked the bold, balanced flavors that define Thai cuisine--there was no real heat, tanginess, sweetness, or depth. When I go to a Thai or Thai-inspired restaurant, I expect vibrant, layered flavors, but what we received tasted muted and almost as if key ingredients were missing. It honestly made me wonder if there had been a mistake in the kitchen. The service didn't help improve the experience. Our server rarely checked in on us--no one asked if we needed napkins or refills, and empty or untouched plates were left sitting on the table far too long. When I brought up the issue with the lack of flavor, there was little acknowledgment and nothing was done to address the concern or make things right. Overall, the combination of bland food and inattentive service made for a frustrating dining experience. Side Note: It should've been obvious to me when I saw that there weren't any Asian patrons that this place would be a disappointment. Shame on this "Michelin-starred" chef.

In fact, the photos of the dishes were what initially drew me in and made me want to try the place. Unfortunately, while the presentation looked great, the actual food was underwhelming for me. Fried Tofu - 2.5/5. The Fried Tofu tasted like something premade and reheated rather than freshly prepared. The dipping sauce also felt generic - like a standard sweet-and-hot sauce mixed with crushed peanuts. It was decent, but not memorable. Roti & Curry - 2.5/5. The Roti & Curry had a similar issue. The roti itself seemed reheated from a premade product, and the curry sauce tasted very generic. It lacked any distinct flavor or character that would set it apart from countless other Thai restaurants. Pad Thai - 3/5. The Pad Thai was average at best. For my taste, it leaned far too sweet, and I wished there was more balance and complexity beyond just sweetness. Thai BBQ Chicken - 1.5/5. The biggest disappointment was the Thai B.B.Q. Chicken. Since the menu mentioned "15 minutes," I assumed the chicken would be grilled fresh to order and served hot off the grill. That expectation made me genuinely excited to try it. Unfortunately, the dish that arrived felt like the opposite. The chicken was cold, not freshly grilled, and the meat tasted stale rather than tender and juicy. It honestly seemed like it had been cooked earlier and reheated before serving. On top of that, the flavor itself was surprisingly bland. Overall, the food tasted like what you would find at many generic Thai restaurants, where the dishes feel standardized and lacking individuality. Nothing particularly stood out in terms of flavor or freshness. While the ambiance and presentation were good, the food didn't live up to the expectations created by the reviews and photos.
