Ummm yes! Just stumbled across this Pasadena Gem. So good!!! Plenty options to choose from and huge portions! The service is phenomenal as well as the flavors!! Small spot but you can definitely grab a seat for lunch or take out!! Will be back !! Tomorrow in fact!!

We were craving Chinese food and found this small family owned place last month. Love the fresh veggies in their Kung Pao Chicken. They have veggie chow mein and eggplant with garlic sauce for vegetarians. Orange chicken and beef broccoli were solid. Wonton soup was yummy and packaged well in our to-go order last month. The lunch menu is from 11 am - 4 pm. Noodles are an extra $2. Service was attentive.

This is my second review for Wok Master. I enjoying sharing different orders and combinations. Today I tried the Orange Chicken and of course ordered my favorite, Cream Cheese Wontons. I'm always satisfied getting their delicious dishes and don't have to dent my pocket.

Little hole in the wall that's a tofu gem in Pasadena. I always go for the orange tofu and the salt & pepper tofu (crispy and salty, love it). It comes with white rice and is enough to feed two people twice. $35 for two plates is reasonable in Pasadena. I usually take it to go but recently ate it at the location and the service needs to be turned up a notch, at least refill my water once. Great options for vegans, especially since they in the same lot as Drink Erva who serves Yerba mate drinks. Happy Munchies, @aVeganAndHer

This place use to be my go to , but now it's just over priced & they don't even put the right portions to ur combination fried rice . Roughly about 18 bucks no drink or combo included !! Which is insane , For them just to put 2 freakin shrimps barley any bbq pork mainly all fat . But they do put a lot of extra chicken in the rice that taste awful and low quality . It just doesn't taste right at all super chewy & sticky it's freakin gross !

Of course, we declined the extra charge since we genuinely thought it came with our order. What happened next is what lost me as a customer. The manager took the dish and immediately dumped it in the trash right behind me, where I could hear it. It felt unnecessary and honestly a bit disrespectful. A better way to handle it would've been to acknowledge the mistake and just comp the dish this time. Instead, it turned into an awkward moment over what couldn't have been more than a few dollars' worth of cucumbers. Not a great experience, and not a place I'd return to based on how this was handled.

I was surprised to read here on Yelp that the original famed chef left for a few years and recently returned, because I did not notice any major changes in the quality of the dishes I usually order. The current manager was my waiter this time, and he said that staffing has been a challenge; he himself also worked here, left , and returned. Colette offers a somewhat non-traditional, somewhat elevated menu, not as varied as other Chinese places, although they do offer dim sum and lunch specials. Note the menu on the website is old and kind of obsolete; the newer menu, which is laminated and has photos, is more extensive. The dish I always order is their fabulous chayote minced pork. I've also ordered their live lobster when I have a hankering. They have the lobsters and crabs in tanks on view, priced per pound. They can prepare it in several ways; I always choose stir-fried with ginger and scallions and add noodles. They also have some specialty dishes like winter melon soup that you must order in advance. I ordered 3 other dishes, only one for the first time. That was honey-glazed beef cubes. Slices of beef covered in sliced almonds on a bed of asparagus with an orange sauce that was similar to orange marmalade. Tasty and unique. The other 2 dishes that I've had before were the golden yolk luffa and the goo-loo pork (aka sweet and sour pork).
