The spread
Thuy Dan T.

Made the visit on a Saturday morning for the weekend brunch. Wait in line to order and then they'll assist finding an open seat for you. All the staff were really friendly, and it's a casual vibe where you can get your own water, but the staff still goes around to make sure you have what you need. What we ordered: + Five spice chicken wings - all flat which I love! Definitely tasted the spices and a nice crunch but I wish there was a sauce to pair. + Cold noodles - knife cut like noodles with a nice chew. The peanut sauce was really good and their tableside chili oil brought it all together. + Wood Ear Mushroom & Bean Curd Stick Salad - would personally not order again, but good for sharing if you'd like a veggie + Milk toast French toast - delicious! The slight outer crust and the spread drizzle on top was so tasty. Black tea maple syrup was not overly sweet and you can try On the day we visited they had a coffee pop-up which was fun to try. For the Loop Espresso Coffee Pop Up, I got the Lapsang Souchong Cream Top, which had tomodachi caramel, tropic cold brew, lapsang souchong cream top and lemon zest -- a very in depth drink and it tasty yummy!

Came by a Sunday night for dinner. You order at the register then find a place to sit. The service was wonderful. They brought us waters right away, the food came out pretty quickly and they checked in on us every so often. Got the beef noodle, fried rice, and ice cream bao with ube ice cream. Everything tasted great and we ate every bite. Would come back again.

A cozy, trendy, and causal asian restaurant that serves some delicious dishes. I came specifically for the beef noodles and I left with an empty bowl and a full tummy, it was so good. The beef was tender and the noodles are a bit on the chewier side like a low mein but I loved the texture and taste of them. I saw some reviews say it was salty but I found it to be just right. If you like spicy i would add the chili oil and hot sauce at each table. The staff was so nice and attentive , although parking is mostly found in the street, which could be a bummer but I will be coming back for more beef noodles and try other dishes!

First time at Woon was a great experience! Ambiance was full of character and welcoming. When we entered the staff greeted us, and took our order. From there you find your own table. We ordered the following: *Pork belly over rice. My favorite dish of the night. Pork was so tender and paired perfectly with the pickled cucumbers and carrots. That combo with the rice cut through the richness of the pork, a perfect bite! *Scallion pancakes. Good, could have used more scallions *Chicken wings. Crispy, juicy, great wings. Added the hot sauce on there made them even better. *Beef noodles. Noodles cooked perfectly, nice chew to them. Flavors on point, beef was delicious. Also ended up getting a Diet Coke since it was the one in the glass bottle. Really great food and vibe here. I saw this on the InKind app and glad we found it. Will definitely be back.

We had a larger group so I made a reservation in advance via email. The team at Woon was so easy to work with - thank you to Sean for setting up an excellent brunch. Honestly everything we ordered was delicious. It is hard to pinpoint a favorite dish because everything was so good! I recommend coming in a group so that you can try all the dishes. We've been to the Woon location in Filipinotown, but we've never had the brunch before. There are some dishes that overlap with dinner - like the Charred Gai Lan and the cold salads, but there are a lot of dishes that are exclusively served at brunch lil the Milk Tea French Toast and the Pork Floss Congee. My girlfriends all loved their first experience at Woon and they can't wait to come back for dinner!

Woon Pasadena located on Washington and Hill. There is a lot next to the restaurant and plenty of spaces during lunchtime. Casual eatery with outdoor tables and larger seating area inside. Service is friendly. Decor is eclectic and Asian themed and casual vibes. Got the pork belly bowl, definitely seems like their best dish. Super tender slabs of pork belly, savory and delicious served over rice and generous portions of pickled carrots and cucumber. This dish is a must try. The fried rice is also very good and excellent scallion pancakes. Looking forward to trying the brunch menu on some future weekend. 5 stars

Trendy and small business located in a humble area of Pasadena. Love the vibe and the crowd. You order at the counter and then you're seated. Service was friendly. Ok, now food. Flavorful and Well presented. Portions are a bit small for the price point in my opinion. My party ordered plenty of entrees to share. Clean and decorative bathrooms. Free and Easy parking in two lots or on the street. Don't forget there's a parking lot across the street. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

Met a friend of mine in Pasadena for Saturday brunch at Woon. Both of us had been anxious to experience this location, and it was worth it. Noon at Woon on a Saturday will make you Swoon with culinary delight...if you are lucky enough to score a table and don't mind a little more noise than usual. You order ahead at the counter and keep your fingers crossed that you are able to score a table. Luckily, we were able to secure a two-top table with a bench and chair, among four or five tables with the silver "RESERVED" signs. Woon does not take reservations, but apparently you can call in ahead to secure your spot. This family-owned restaurant is quite welcoming. Light, bright, lots of colorful art and decorations, with an above average noise level at this fast-paced Chinese spot in a busy part of Altadena's restaurant row. We decided to share a few of Woon's brunch offerings: "Bacon N' Eggs" Fried Rice (vgo): House smoke pork belly, Napa Cabbage, Scrambled Egg, topped with Chili Oil Fried Egg and Chinese Chives. This dish was five star. The pork belly is incredible, seasoned to perfection with a hint of spice. The rice, cabbage and egg all balance out the heat. Perfect to share or indulge alone. Cold Sesame Noodles (v): Homestyle Chewy Noodles, Marinated Tofu, Pickled Cucumber, Sea Moss Seasoning Togarashi and Herbs. This dish was only average for my taste. The noodles were fresh and tasty but the tofu lacked a lot of flavor and wasn't memorable enough to try again. Not sure if it works as a cold dish for my liking. Bolo Bao w/ Black Tea Cream: A delicious pastry! The right amount of crispy outer crunch with freshly baked interior, almost biscuit-like. The black tea cream is spot on, reminding me of an English scone and cream. Although, this version of cream is less fluffy and more liquified, and not as plentiful inside to offset the ratio of bread to cream. A bit more cream would have made the pastry five star. Woon Milk Tea (v): House-made Milk Tea made with Bamboo Temple Black Tea, mixed with Oat Milk and Sugar. This is a fantastic drink. Full of color, flavor, foam and presented in social media-worthy fashion. Quite delicious and vegan-friendly, although I wish there was a little less ice cubes. Overall, my experience at Woon was quite solid. Not enough to quite push me to a five-star rating, but I would return to try other options on the menu aside from the Brunch offerings. The space is great, but can be quite noisy, especially on weekends with lots of families and strollers. The bathrooms are also well-kept and clean. Parking adjacent to the building or across the street at the pharmacy. Check out both locations (Pasadena and Historic Filipinotown) but know that only Pasadena serves up the Weekend Brunch Menu (Noon to 2pm).

Milk tea - dairy-free

Great comfort food, good vegan options, but also a bit pricey. Came in on a Thursday at around 8:10pm. No line, no wait. My to-go order was ready in under 10 mins. Now... I only ordered a milk tea (pre-bottled, and dairy-free), one order of scallion pancakes, and one order of their veggie noodles. My total after 15% tip was $40. Portions are not big (at least the to-go orders aren't) and the noodles were a bit on the oily side. So really, this is a 3.5 star review. I love Woon for the comfort their food brings but the price was definitely not worth the portion sizes. Parking - free parking lot behind the building.

Beautiful artístico design!

My Lucky Night! Woon is walking distance for residents of East Washington Village, Altadena adjacent. Tonight is a fundraiser for Eaton Canyon Fire Residents with special menu offerings and a DJ collaboration with the MAD Collective. Service is quick and woon boasts a beautiful, lively, artsy space. And to op it off chewy hand-pulled noodles...yaaasss!

Food: The food here has lots of flavor. The fried rice was a little on the greasy side for my taste but the presentation is picturesque. I went here on a Thursday for the smoked duck banh mi but unfortunately that along with scallion pancake and the tocino pork collar plate were all out for the night. I still recommend you go experience this place at least once. Service: Service is pretty transactional but overall ok. Ambiance: The ambiance is rich and eye catching with alot of modern style Chinese American decor. They sell their rice, tea, and branded merch.

Had dinner with a friend here. We parked on the street with no issues. You order first, get a number, get seated and wait. We ordered the pork belly rice, pork belly bun, chicken wings, scallion pancake and the beef noodles. We also grabbed 2 beers from the fridge and order 2 draft beers. Overall, solid spot. Portions are on the smaller side but they were tasty. Would come back.

Order at the counter before getting seated - Inside a restaurant, customers are standing at the counter to place orders, with a red counter and Asian-themed wall art.

Ordered a handful of dishes and overall had a good experience! The beef noodles were my favorite -- comforting, flavorful, and something I'd happily order again. We also got the pork belly rice, which I didn't try since I don't eat pork, but my friends swore it was delicious. The five-spice chicken wings were good but not super memorable, and the scallion pancakes were just okay -- I was honestly expecting a bit more from those. The wood ear mushroom and tofu was good -- light, clean, and nicely done. The ambience is really nice -- cozy and homey with an Asian street-food vibe! You order at the counter in the front before getting seated, which is straightforward. Big plus for parking in the back, which makes things way easier. Overall, I'd come back. Prices aren't crazy, and there are still a lot of dishes on the menu I want to try!

The Brewery has a large parking lot however it gets full pretty quickly, if you get lucky you can also find some parking in the neighborhood street adjacent, or there is street parking for 2 hours on the main street. Yesterday was a pretty packed day, the main back patio with umbrellas was packed with people as there was an artist doing doggy portraits on that side. The back patio is disconnected from the brewery so you have to walk back and forth if you want to refill. I would say that side is more in the sun, so even with umbrellas it's a bit hotter on that side. The brewery is pretty cool inside, they have two separate bars to order from, one is the Beer bar, and one is the coffee/tea/ other things bar. I tried their Shibuya rice lager which was ice cold and very refreshing for a hot day. Our group also ordered the Really big pretzel, and Nachos which were pretty delicious. Finally, there is the front patio which faces the main street, and was fully in the shade. It is quite small with about 4 tables, but the sidewalk has quite a bit of foot traffic, and this is where we were able to set up camp with the fosters to mingle and meet with people who wanted to meet the doggies. I went solo but they have tables in tons of sizes so group hangs and dates are good here, too! Personally, I love a good people watching spot and enjoyed hanging out at Stone yesterday afternoon. I grabbed a tall two top in the corner of the outdoor patio and was super relaxed. The staff was great, helping me with recommendations and super quick & generous on the pours. I came in to try a 2016 Imperial Russian Stout I saw they had tapped and ended up trying taster size portions of 6 beers - all very solid. I'm biased to love deep cuts so the 10.6% Imperial Russian Stout was my fav of the day but I also enjoyed the lightness of the Stone Wil Power, a 4.5% fruited kettle sour with mango, tangerine and lychee. They have a ton of indoor seating but also the patio is just so nice & relaxing here. Very chill, quiet vibes and they open at 12pm on weekdays. As for drinks, they have domestic bottles, craft bottles, import bottles, hard seltzers, wine, beverage, and more. I went all out and got 2 orders of 12 chicken wings each for $21 which is quite steep if you ask me. I asked for 6 wings per flavor... buffalo, sweet chili, mango habanero, garlic parmesan. The wings weren't that big. For that price, you would think the wings would be bigger. Anyway, taste and flavor was amazing though. Perfectly fried and crispy! Sauce was delish!! My favorite was the sweet chili. Yum, yum! I also got a buffalo chicken salad (delicious) plus an order of onion rings (light and crispy)... these were very good! I would order the onion rings again. Another colleague ordered a pitcher of hawaiian or luau blonde (sorry I forget the name). I normally don't drink, but I did entertain one glass of this blonde. It was actually very light and refreshing. Thank you sir for sharing! The lady staff (Kristen) who took my food order was very nice and pleasant. Thank you miss for the amazing service! As for the gentleman who I believe worked here, too, he could improve in offering better service IMHO. Anyway, our group enjoyed the good eats and had a great time.
