    Grilled Pork with Sticky Rice
    Jessica S.

Lovely little restaurant with fast service! Great location. There's free or metered street parking all around the block. We chose to sit outside, where it's fully shaded and surrounding by plants. The food comes out quickly and tastes pretty good. The egg rolls were so crispy and full. I could probably just eat egg rolls. I also got the grilled pork with sticky rice. There was a generous amount of pork and it was soo juicy. I love that they offer sticky rice with their savory dishes. I'm definitely going to come back again to enjoy their lunch specials.

Very good Thai food, recommended by the staff at our hotel. We had the papaya salad, the green curry lunch special with pork, and the mango sticky rice dessert. All are delicious and very authentic. This place is small, not fancy but the food is definitely worth a visit.

My fav thai restaurant in Pasadena! I've read some of the reviews saying service feels rushed, but I've been many times & haven't experienced that. If anything, they're efficient & food comes out quickly. Love their pad thai, crab fried rice, & mango sticky rice. Both indoor & outdoor seating available & restroom available for customers. Located right across Target & there's lots of nearby street parking.

Located in downtown Pasadena, this Thai food restaurant is cooking up dishes for dine in and take out. During my most recent visit, there were a lot of people dropping in to pick up orders to-go. There are indoor and outdoor seating options so that's convenient when the weather is really nice outside. Tried the Tom Yum soup, Papaya Salad, and Pad Thai. Food was good, but had the same few ingredients in every dish -- meaning, I would have preferred more distinction on taste. The servers were nice but the experience felt rushed. Wouldn't be my first choice for Thai food when back in town, but I would be open to giving this spot another try.

They have such a beautiful storefront with all these plants and greenery. It's a testament to them that they have an even bigger Thai restaurant competing with them 2 doors down and they're still here. I can see why, their food is delicious and they have great customer service. I always enjoy coming here after visiting Vroman's across the street. I've had their green curry, pad kee mao, tried the fried sweet and sour fish, and their fried rice. Everything was amazing. In particular though, the fish and fried rice were standouts. Most flavorful rice I've ever had, and the fish was fantastic! So crispy despite being smothered in a delicious sauce that's different from Chinese sweet and sour. I think theirs has tamarind among other things.

Small, charming restaurant. Wouldn't recommend for parties larger than 6. They have indoor and exterior seating. The service is quick and friendly. The food was good. I would come again and order other things. One unisex restroom. They don't gave toilet seat covers and they only have a hand dryer. Probably wouldn't go #2 there - just hold it.

PARKING: Parked in a lot near the Pasadena Playhouse and walked over. SEATING: There are lots of seats inside and outside but they fill up quick! Came to eat here before a play at 7PM at the Playhouse and got there around 5:10PM. Inside was completely full but outside had seating. It was nice! But there was a 20 minute wait after we sat down. SERVICE: It seemed a bit slow as I was sat outside but I didn't need much. They took the order and the food came out promptly. Just didn't see anyone again until the check and boxes were needed. No complaints really. I'm sure they are attentive when they aren't slammed. FOOD: Wow! Food came out quick and piping hot! The appetizers were amazing! The way they breaded the calamari had such an interesting contrast with the squid that I kept going back to it! So flavorful especially with the sauce. The pad thai was amazing! The right firmness with the noodles and the taste was phenomenal! Wish they added more shrimp as there were only 2 but I get it. There was plenty of chicken though! Chicken in every bite and a healthy amount of beansprouts. Was even better with the pickled chili. OVERALL: Usually I get Blaze before watching a play at the Playhouse but this will be my new spot to go to now. Just a great spot with great vibes!!

Amazing food and service , the organice chicken blew me away and the outside dining area is beautiful and kept well leaving a good vibe and ambience.

Their chicken fried rice is so amazing I wish I took a picture! The ladies are all very nice and always say hi and thank you. Very cosy and homey.

Nine & Nine did not disappoint! I stopped by at lunch for the first time and thought that the lunch special was great value, considering it was $12.50. I think it's definitely hard to come by nowadays, especially at dine-in restaurants. The lunch special comes with an entree, salad, and a choice of egg rolls or dumplings. I ordered the lunch yellow curry with two egg rolls (which were sooo delicious). The yellow curry was perfectly creamy and spicy. My only complaint is that the beef was on the dry side. Service was great. Only thing is parking there's limited street parking and it's all metered.

I came here for mango sticky rice and a Singha beer. Before i was even half done eating the rice and mango, they brought the check and stuck it in the middle of the table. Then, they came back every 5 minutes to ask if I wanted to pay the bill although I hadn't finished my food. One lady went through all options, do you want to Apple Pay, do you want visa, do you want to pay cash???? Pressure, pressure, pressure to turn the table and get you out of the place. Did I mention that I still hadn't finished my food? Food was good. Singha beer is always nice, but if they want to turn tables to maximize profits, they need to set a time limit and hold all diners to the limit.

This place is nice for small groups or family! Very friendly people, plus the food here is amazing. It's good to share food here or to eat on your own. Either way, it's good portion size to share and hot. I tried one of the spicy noodles they had and the yellow curry. So great and amazing!

It's a comfortable spot with padded banquettes or chairs at the tables, which feature chrome frames and (very good-looking) faux marble tops; along with white walls and light-colored wood accents, the owners have created a clean, simple, welcoming environment. The mood is jostled even further into a specific vibe of calmness with the carefully curated music being played: bossa nova covers of pop hits from bygone days (The Bee Gees' "More Than A Woman" and the Bee Gees'-written Streisand hit, "A Woman In Love" being examples), but it all works. The menu offers a varied selection of dishes from several Asian cultures, from Chinese Beef Rolls to Japanese noodles and soups to Korean Beef over rice. It's not a huge menu, but there's definitely enough there for everyone to find something interesting to eat. The food is all cooked in view of the customers by a staff of chefs working in a sparkling clean kitchen enclosed by windows, and the staff is uniformly friendly despite juggling a lunchtime crowd at the tables plus quite a lot of to-go orders. I tried 2 really enjoyable and satisfying dishes. Beef Rolls featured thinly sliced brisket rolled inside crispy fried crepes with scallion, cilantro and a touch of Hoisin sauce. The brisket had a mild but distinctive flavor that spoke of careful preparation, while the slightly astringent pop from the onions and herbs was a nice foil for the inherent fattiness of the fried crepes. The Hoisin sauce was very subtly deployed, lending tasty support without overwhelming everything else. I added some of the house chili oil for a little extra spice and peppery depth, but these well-made rolls were terrific all by themselves. It should also be noted that the portion is very generous, especially for the price ($12.80), and more than enough for 2 people (perhaps 4 people, if each has 1/2). My other dish was the Qinghai Clear Cold Noodle, a terrific-looking, and even better-tasting blend of thick, chewy noodles, fresh chopped garlic, veggies, tofu and chili sauce that's got a bit of heat but more so a pleasing depth of Chinese spices. This appetizer is packed with flavor and just happens to be Vegan (as are a number of menu items), so it can be enjoyed by anyone. All in all, this was a fantastic mid-week lunch that pleased the senses without breaking the bank, and I even brought some home for later. Do give this Noodle St. a try -- and if you're not in Pasadena, check their website, because they have 8 locations, with a 9th opening soon in Sherman Oaks.

The quality was solid, and everything came out hot. The chicken wings were great, the garlic green beans and cucumber salad were amazing, and the signature spicy ramen was really good too. It was a bit greasy, almost like birria, but the meat was tender and the broth tasted like it had been cooking for 48 hours deep, rich, and full of flavor. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the Korean beef. It was way too sweet and didn't really give Korean BBQ flavor. The meat seemed more steamed than grilled, and not even vinegar or chili oil could save it for me. Other than that, everything else was fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for.

You really cannot go wrong with the xiao long bao, steamed buns, or any of their other dumpling offerings. Beyond the dumplings, they have a lot of other dishes I really enjoy. Some of my favorites are the beef rolls, spicy wontons, green onion pancake, chow fun, orange chicken, and chow mein noodles. The noodles are especially good and, importantly, not overly greasy or oily, which can sometimes be an issue at other places. The prices are also competitive, especially considering the portions and quality of the food. It is the kind of place where you can order a good spread, share a bunch of dishes, and feel like you got a solid meal for the money. I also love that they bring out sugared peanuts when you sit down. It is a small touch, but a really nice one. The restaurant has plenty of seating, though service can be a bit slow at times, so good luck flagging down a waiter when it gets busy. You can also tell they are a high-volume dumpling restaurant because there is often steam in the dining room, which can make the restaurant feel a little warm at times. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. One wrong move and you'll be thinking about it halfway through your bowl like, "I should've gone wider."

I like how they have expanded their menu with additional options other than simply noodle options…read more We tried their pork pan fried dumplings (3/5) since the skin was overpoweringly thick, but the filling was decent. They have a small and large sweet and sour chicken rice plate. I had gotten the small size just to try it out, but it was surprisingly good (5/5). The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. The dining room doesn't seat a lot of people so try not to come during busy dining hours on weekends to avoid a long wait.

Super friendly staff will find you a great table and, from there, you are on your own. All ordering by tablet! Soju and Cass beer of course, and bring your appetite. Bar food galore which is actually pretty good. Must gets are the corn cheese, tteokbokki (chewy rice cakes in spicy sauce), steamed egg, fried chicken and seafood pancake. This place is perfect for groups or just a date for two. Dang, I could eat a whole tray of that corn cheese. City lot right across the street for hassle-free parking; that's one thing about the "real" Koreatown you won't miss.

Plenty of TVs on the wall to watch a game with kpop playing. It's a large space with plenty of seating. There's low tables in the middle and tables and booths on the side. It's a good place for groups. It does get pretty loud in there though. The food is good bar food. I liked the fried rice and wings. The seafood pancake was good but not as crispy as I'd like. Service was good. Friendly staff. You order on the tablets on the tables. It's pretty easy but older folks might need a minute to get used to it. You have to ask the server for the bill though. There's street meters or a parking structure within a few blocks on Delacey.
