    Chicken pad thai
    Thomas K.

I went a few times and it was closed. Stopped by again and it was open. Got the chicken pad thai to go. It was ready quickly. The noodles werent super greasy like other places. A bit too sweet for my taste. Overall very tasty. Portion size was ok considering I paid $17 for this small bowl. I remember when you could order pad thai to go for like $12 before the pandemic at most thai restaurants. I guess this is the world we live in now

The food was good, authentic Thai cuisine. The place was a little quaint with a great atmosphere that was relaxing. The owners ran the place, and the wife and husband were working there. The wife was very attentive and provided great service. My mom had a vegetarian eggplant dish, which she liked. My father ordered chicken wings and noodles, which they both enjoyed. I had their specialty, which was some sort of curry with noodles underneath. I wanted some fried noodles on top. The dish was flavorful; I could taste the herbs and spices, and it was very fresh.

    Pad See ew combination lunch.

My BF and I came for the $14.99 lunch special. This charming café with the sweet curtains in front, comfortable seating and nice decoration has been open just two weeks, but they are showing sophistication in the cooking and lovely presentation choices on the combination meal. The lunch specials are served with a House green salad (iceberg), which was topped with a Thai salad dressing that was mayonnaise based, a nice hot spring roll, and steamed white rice or brown rice. Choice of chicken, fried tofu, or vegetable is included. For small extra fee add beef or shrimp. I chose Thai chicken with basil as my entrée and he chose Pad See Ew with Tofu as his. I was pleased that the chicken was all white meat breast of chicken, and there was a nice selection of crisp stir fried green bell pepper, green beans, and onion. In the Pad See Ew, the tofu had been cut with a crimper knife into large squares with curly edges and then deep fried to give it crust. That dish also included vegetables, including carrot and broccoli. Instead of rice, crispy wonton strips were provided to dunk in the sweet sauce. The eggroll was nice and hot and came with a tasty sweet-and-sour dipping sauce. The portions on both entrées and the additional dishes were generous enough that we took home at least half for a second meal. Our server was very kind and attentive. Parking is free and plentiful in the lot of this cafe located in a small mall on the corner of Washington and Fair Oaks Avenue. 4% is added if you wish to use a credit card. This food was fresh and very tasty and we are looking forward to returning, soon.

The service is consistently great... attentive, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Fair warning for anyone new to Sichuan cuisine, the dominant flavor is "spicy". That said, the dishes are not just about heat... they're layered, aromatic, and incredibly well-balanced. Every dish I've tried has been outstanding, both in flavor and presentation. If you're a fan of bold, authentic flavors and reliable service, this spot is definitely worth visiting. Tip - If you're new to the cuisine, I strongly recommend getting everything MILD spicy. I've been told by some of my colleagues that MILD spicy is still pretty spicy, so be warned. With that said, strongly recommend the dishes below. Lamb with Cumin 11/10 - My favorite dish here by far. Aromatic, flavorful, and the spices are just on point. Dan Dan Noodles 9/10 - Solid and consistently good. The sauce is properly seasoned and truly compliments the perfectly cooked noodles. Shredded Cabbage with Pork 9/10 - Not to be confused with twice cooked pork. This dish is so simple and bland looking, but it's packed with flavor... so good! Garlic Pork Belly 8/10 - This is a cold dish. The meat was perfectly cooked and properly coated in chili oil. Solid and consistently good. Kung Pao Chicken 8/10 - In my opinion, it's an elevated Kung Pao Chicken. Solid and consistently good.

I like coming here because it is not usually very crowded, and it is possible that it's because the pricing of the food is usually on the higher end. That being said, the food is reasonably good. The seaweed tofu salad has a nice kick to it. The black pepper beef was cooked well and the seasoning was not overwhelming. The crab fried rice tasted good, but the flavor of the crab was not as prominent. The dumpling was solid, but certainly overpriced for five pieces. The Dan Mein with chicken was a solid dish, but probably could get similar dish at the Chinese restaurant in San Gabriel Valley. Parking is easy, on the street or in the parking lot behind the restaurant. You can also park in the parking lot behind the Jamba Juice, which is located south of the Cordova Street. The servers were excellent, very attentive, extremely friendly, and definitely helpful. Would definitely come back, but knowing that it is on the expensive side. For seven dishes, pretty standard ones, it was approximately $150 after including tax and tip. The ambience was definitely immaculate, very clean restaurant, and the food was pretty solid.

They're so flavorful and crispy at the same time. and it comes with so much seafood and bok choy so you're getting your veggies in. The beef chow fun was addicting I couldn't stop eating the noodles. The flavor was just too good. I also was very surprised at their yang chow fried rice. The pork meat was so good and the rice was perfectly cooked. If you haven't tried the seaweed fish it's a very unique dish I recommend if you like fried fish, this is a very tasty fish. It's green but it tastes so good. I love ha gow, you can never go wrong with a shrimp ball steamed in rice paper. And always gotta get the green beans in for that veggie dish. The green beans are flavorful and crunchy in the right places. I had a really great time. It's honestly really fun to come here with a big group of people to enjoy a really delicious family style Chinese meal. They also give free peanuts for appetizer and serve jasmine hot tea which gave me so much energy for my dinner! On Friday night, after a long work week. We ordered beef udon with xo sauce ($19.75), salt & pepper chicken wings ($18.75), honey garlic pork chop ($19.75) and beef wrap (roll?) $15.50. The beef udon had a bit of spice that was a little too much for me. The noodles itself had a good chew to them. The beef had good flavor but the dish was a little too spicy for me overall. The salt & pepper chicken wings lacked flavor and was heavily battered. Not that much chopped up chilis & green onion with it. The honey garlic pork chop just wasnt for me. You see it and it looks like salt & pepper pork chop but its not. The sweetness threw me off. Just some fried garlic thrown on top... Not a fan of this dish. The beef rolls, as i know them, from the original location looked like a 'lite" version of what I've come to expect and have had from Mama Lu's. There was not as much meat as typical, not as much cilantro which was fine by me but also some of the rolls didnt have the hoisin sauce. That's what gives it the finishing flavor... There was also none given on the side. Bummed cause I was craving it. Just disappointing. Maybe it would be better eaten there but like I said, I've had Mama Lu's before and this was far from the experience I was used to having. Didnt order the XLB cause this was for delivery and we'd rather not sacrifice the quality.
