Pez Coastal Kitchen has a lively ambiance made for large groups with their large booths and large tables. Somehow it is lively while still being very intimate as their lush décor gives it an intimate vibe. Since we have light appetites, we decided to share the Cioppino ($49) which has shrimp, clams, mussels, chicken, fish, tomatoes, parmesan gnocchi and cheesy garlic bread. Yum!! Wow everything about this dish was magnificent. Every single ingredient was cooked perfectly. The gnocchi had the fluffiest texture. The broth was so delicious we can drink it. We asked for 2 more pieces of bread, which I was happy to pay for, but I checked the receipt and they didn't charge us for it. How nice!! And even though I can't even any more savory foods, we had room for their Panna Cotta ($15). The panna cotta was topped with crumbles of their shortbread cookie. Both the panna cotta and the short bread cookie layers were good. There was also berries with chocolate drizzles that were good. There was a layer of over gelatinous raspberry that was thick and rubbery, which I could do without, but the overall dessert was good. While we were here, we even ran into a celebrity... like a globally known celebrity that would be recognized by multiple generations. I don't want to ruin their privacy but I just want to comment on how this restaurant is so amazing, even celebrities come here. Definitely the highlight of our night! We were so happy we came here for an incredible meal, and then even a celebrity sighting. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. I know they have a fancy whole fried fish dish but we'll need more of the family with us to eat such a large item, and of course try more of chefs dishes.
