Seafood Tom Kha. Delicious soup base with chunks of fish and shrimp, calamari, scallop, mushroom. I'd order it again!

Ordered for delivery. The Seafood Tom Kha had a delicious soup base with chunks of fish and shrimp, calamari, mussels, and scallop. I'd order it again and looking forward to trying other dishes.

I'm so happy there's a new Thai place right in our neighborhood. The food was delicious! I get most of the same things at Thai restaurants. Drunken noodles is one of my favorite dishes, and theirs hit the spot! We also ordered the Tom Kha with shrimp, spicy basil with beef, and crab fried rice. We loved it all! We were already talking about what we want to order the next time we eat here, which I'm sure will be very soon. We're so happy to support another small local business! We ate here around 8pm on a Monday night. It wasn't too busy and the service was great. The prices are very reasonable in my opinion.

Hidden Gem! Great food, ambience, and super friendly service. I had the yellow curry with seafood and it was amazing! My new go to Thai place. Very convenient to the Rose Bowl.

Pasadena Thai Restaurant. Perfect Thai food. Thai food made by real Thai people. Tom Yum Kung soup is really good. Fried rice is delicious and has a lot of portions. Shrimp is a must for any menu. Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are both delicious. They also make Som Tam well. January 1, 2025 Best Thai Food

I had sent my cousin a few restaurant options in the area that looked good, and Pez Coastal Kitchen was one that we both liked the most. Best decision ever! Pez Coastal Kitchen has a lively ambiance made for large groups with their large booths and large tables. Somehow it is lively while still being very intimate as their lush décor gives it an intimate vibe. Since we have light appetites, we decided to share the Cioppino ($49) which has shrimp, clams, mussels, chicken, fish, tomatoes, parmesan gnocchi and cheesy garlic bread. Yum!! Wow everything about this dish was magnificent. Every single ingredient was cooked perfectly. The gnocchi had the fluffiest texture. The broth was so delicious we can drink it. We asked for 2 more pieces of bread, which I was happy to pay for, but I checked the receipt and they didn't charge us for it. How nice!! And even though I can't even any more savory foods, we had room for their Panna Cotta ($15). The panna cotta was topped with crumbles of their shortbread cookie. Both the panna cotta and the short bread cookie layers were good. There was also berries with chocolate drizzles that were good. There was a layer of over gelatinous raspberry that was thick and rubbery, which I could do without, but the overall dessert was good. While we were here, we even ran into a celebrity... like a globally known celebrity that would be recognized by multiple generations. I don't want to ruin their privacy but I just want to comment on how this restaurant is so amazing, even celebrities come here. Definitely the highlight of our night! We were so happy we came here for an incredible meal, and then even a celebrity sighting. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. I know they have a fancy whole fried fish dish but we'll need more of the family with us to eat such a large item, and of course try more of chefs dishes. I hear the menu here is seasonal for the freshest ingredients so you can expect to see different dishes when you visit.

The sides were nice - Brussels sprouts were delicious but the rice was dry and undercooked. The appetizers we ordered were all good. Meatballs, the crab cake, the fresh burrata and beet salad were really fresh. My cocktail though was very bad. I asked for it not to be too sweet and came out to be extremely bitter. They tried to fixed it, but it was stop a flop. I didn't even drink,it. It was a waste. The restaurant it's;ed is nice;y decorated. Casual but nice. Now for customer service - our server was nice. Our reservation was at 8pm on Saturday night. The restaurant kicked us out literally at 10:15. They turned off the lights at 10pm. We asked for waters and the server said - we have to give a bottled water and you need to leave because we are close. Seriously, it was at 10:15 on a Saturday night when we stepped out of the restaurant as they literally shut the doors. It's bad for business. I understand they are saving hourly employee salary but bad business practice. Would I ever go back? No. And I don't recommend this place to anyone.

We had a reservation so we were seated right away on the second floor, just above the bar. The music was a little on the loud side so conversation was a little strained. The food was absolutely amazing. Our server was very friendly and informative but was not quite as attentive as we would expect for an establishment like this. This was our first time here, so we had to try the Asparagus Fries. The asparagus was cooked to perfection but the batter did not have much flavor. Members of our party ordered the California Salad, a Veggie Burger, the Meatloaf and a Picante Pizza. The California Salad was smaller than expected but delicious. The Veggie Burger was excellent! The Meatloaf was the hit of the table. It was so good that my wife did not offer a taste to any of us. She was in food Heaven. The pizza was exactly as described and tasted wonderful. Since we were celebrating my birthday, our server brought me a delicious piece of double chocolate cake with a candle in it. Nice touch!! We also had one of their Warm Butter Cake's with some excellent vanilla ice cream on top. Absolutely wonderful!. This may be our new "go-to" place. Made a reservation about an hour before, so when we got there we were seated immediately. After a quick glance at the drink menu, had to get the Mai Tai with lilikoi foam on top. So delicious. Had my first lilikoi foam in Maui and I love that I'm starting to see it around Los Angeles now. Adds such a punch of flavor to an after we balanced drink. For food, we started with the bacon deviled eggs and shrimp taquitos. Those deviled eggs were lightly fried, which was different, then had apple wood smoked bacon on top, just a really tasty bite. The shrimp taquitos were also not what you would expect, nice and light but still very good. Entrees we went with the center cut fillet and the prime rib dip with swiss cheese on a brioche bun. That sandwich just melts if your mouth after dipping it in the jous, and the cheese was the perfect accompiament. The fillet was cooked perfect as well, coming out medium rare. Overall, great restaurant in Pasadena. Definitely get the Mai Tai, Devine eggs and prime rib dip. Taquitos were good and, if you're feeling like another hg er appetizer, definitely a way to go . The fillet, also great but I feel you can get it anywhere.

The staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor & outdoor seating available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was eating my food in this establishment several months ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they were offering some at the moment. They currently do have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is located behind the restaurant at a local medical building parking lot. It's $1 each 9 minutes with a max of $13. Or you can try to find street parking and walk on over. Food: I ordered a Lychee Martini, Saigon Summer, Mamasan's Shrimp Cake Skewers, Truffle Wok Seared Noodles with Scallop, Slow-Drip Vietnamese Coffee Flan, and Banyan Tree Ice Cream. Before I started ordering, I was immediately given some house made complimentary shrimp chips. I loved how light and airy it was. It also had an amazing crunch. It tasted just like shrimps hahaha. My lychee martini was a crisp, refreshing cocktail that perfectly balances floral sweetness with tart acidity. Order this! The Saigon summer is a spicy, tropical blend of tequila, lime leaf liqueur, agave, butterfly pea infused triplum, and a Thai chili infusion. Not really up my alley, but I'm glad I was able to try it out. I think I dislike anything spicy and super bitter in my drinks. It just tasted odd. Mamasan's shrimp cake skewers features crispy, deep-fried shrimp cakes flavored with kaffir lime and lemongrass. It is served with skewers, charred pineapple, and a sweet garlic chili dip. Definitely get this. It was so crunchy, massive, and mouthwatering. The charred pineapple provided a sour yet sweet taste that helped off set the savory seafood / fishy taste in your mouth. The truffle wok seared noodles with scallop is a dish that combines savory, smoky flavor with luxurious truffle and tender scallops, which bridges the gap between classic Asian stir-fry and Italian comfort food. As a massive sucker for Italian food and all things truffle, this dish was my favorite. The al dente handmade egg noodles were wok-tossed in a rich black truffle sauce with delicious mushrooms, fresh Brussels sprout leaves, and perfectly seared scallops. I loved that I could taste the black truffles. The truffles added a nice rich, earthy, and highly savory flavor with prominent notes roasted nuts. GET THIS DISH!!!!! The slow-drip Vietnamese coffee flan is a silky, rich egg custard infused with bold phin-drip coffee and sweetened condensed milk. It offers a perfect balance of bitter roasted coffee and sweet creamy custard. This dish was super smooth, creamy, and delicious. I loved that Star Leaf added their own twist to this dish by putting a caramel golden cage on top of this already phenomenal tasting dessert. The caramel golden cage gave this flan a nice crunch. This dish wasn't too sweet for me. As a hater of super sweet things, this flan was just right. The banyan tree ice cream was a great way to end the meal. Super refreshing! I got two scoops of Thai tea ice cream and one scoop of the coconut ice cream. Both flavors were fantastic and tasted very creamy. Not too sweet, which is how I like it. Staff: The staff here are very attentive, friendly, welcoming, and polite. Elysha waited on me when I went. She was very attentive, informative, and personable. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

It is considered…read moreto be one of the best destinations for fresh seafood, with the accent on Chinese cuisine. What has shunned me from this place, is the distance and the traffic, from the SFV. Finally, I made the journey. And arrived for lunch, on a weekday. To come here and not order their iconic Signature dish, the House Special Newport Style Lobster, would be a sin. Imagine a trip that was almost 40 miles and an hour of traffic (one way), with no reward. It was time to experience the real thing. The signature dish. Walking in solo, I was given a booth. I liked that. On seating, I ordered a beverage to quench my thirst, catch my bearings and breath. Almost immediately, the servers kept bugging me to order. The place was barely 1/4th occupied. Whats the hurry. After all this, I had to repeatedly tell them, that i had already spoken with a server, regarding my order. Just wanted to relax first, catch my breath, sip my beverage. Coming here, I was aware that their tank lobsters would be in the 4-6 pound range. Good for, and ordered by, at least 3-4 people. So when I, as a solo diner, ordered a 4-pound lobster (with no other choice), just for myself, they began to leave me alone and give me more respect. The cut up wok prepared, House Special Newport Style Lobster, arrives wonderfully presented, with heaps of leeks, scallions and jalapenos. My kind of recipe. Truly unique and exceptional. There is no sauce, and only a mild flavor, yet tasty. My biggest concern here was (after reading numerous internet reviews), that the lobster would be rubbery and dry. Not so for me. I lucked out. Problem here is, while there is lots of meat (a 4 pound lobster will yield at the most, about a pound of meat), they do not have, or provide, the essential lobster cutlery, to do justice to this beautiful crustacean. I did ask though. They did not seem to care and told me to use my fork. LOL. Steamed rice is complimentary. So is a soup, with sweet and sour, being the only choice (I did not like this). Either way, my plan was to take leftovers (there was a lot), home, where I possess high class lobster cracking tools. And thank heavens I did. They were most useful, to crack and dig into all the lobster meat, that would have been inaccessible at the restaurant. With additional TLC, the leftovers held up well, to provide several additional lobster meals. Need to go back to try their enticing and reasonably priced variety of lunch specials (more seafood, choices minus lobster). Another sought after box on my list, is now checked.
