I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant over the weekend with my mother and sister. From the moment we walked in, everything was exceptional. The customer service was warm and welcoming, the restaurant was clean and well maintained, and the ambiance created the perfect dining experience. What made this visit especially memorable was how authentic the food tasted. I recently spent two amazing weeks in Peru, and this meal instantly took me back. I was able to enjoy two of my favorite Peruvian dishes, and they were absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. I've been eating here for a while and have generally been happy with the food and service. However, I had to lower my rating after a recent catering order experience that was disappointing. This was my second time ordering catering from them. The food was good, but the service was especially frustrating. I spent over 30 minutes on the phone, in both English and Spanish, trying to process payment, which lead to nowhere till I had to drive myself to the restaurant to swipe the card manually. When it was time to pick up the order, the restaurant could not spare anyone to help bring the food to our car, despite it being a large catering order and the pickup taking place on a very busy avenue. What was most disappointing was the lack of concern or willingness to offer any assistance. The food arrived late for our event as a result. While the food was good, the poor service has made me reconsider ordering catering from them again, returning as often, and recommending them to others. It's a shame because I genuinely enjoy the food, but there are other options available. First time eating at a Peruvian restaurant and oh my goodness I loved it! We called a few hours before for a reservation for 8 people on a Saturday night at 7:30pm and they had a spot for us. I believe they have seating in the back for larger parties! The portions are huge and I would recommend sharing if you're not so much of a heavy eater. We got the Milanesa de pollo which was bomb paired with the pesto pasta! Service was great, the servers knew their menu and ingredients so well. I came with my friends on a Thursday night and got seated immediately. We were all craving lomo saltado - it was generously portioned and tender. We also got the yuca fries with the yellow creamy sauce which was our favorite. My only issue was that a questionable stand of a few dessert cookies were out in the open air and in reach of customers by the front door, which if it's not complementary, I don't see why it wouldn't at least be covered and properly handled. read more

First time here and planning on returning. The food is authentic but you have to be patient, it is truly cooked to order. The ambience is casual but a good drink like the pisco sour makes the wait go by easy. Had the lomo saltado, a staple of any Peruvian restaurant- loved the tender beef and veggies were fresh complimenting the dish. We were celebrating my parents' 47th anniversary, and while we didn't mind being seated about 20 minutes late, the seating itself was disappointing. We were placed in a back room with dim lighting and long, shared tables that made it difficult to get in and out, especially if you were seated in the middle. The space felt cramped, poorly ventilated, and appeared to double as a storage area, which took away from the celebratory feel. They also ran out of Coke before 8pm, which was a bit surprising. Overall, the food and service really carried the experience, which is why I'm still giving 4 stars. Our server forgot us, but luckily a young lady came by to help us out. We got our pitcher of Sangria and ended up waiting another 15-20 minutes for our server. The service was excellent with our server constantly checking on us and refiling water without us needing to ask. We were recommended the Ceviche Especial which brought a mixture of seafood in a citrus broth. It was delicious and by far the best thing I tried that day. The papas a la huacaina was bland and it left me feeling disappointed. The main dish was arroz con pollo and I was not expecting to get chopped up chicken bits with mostly rice. I asked them a while back if they could seal the food with a tape or something for safety but it appears it's not a priority for them. With every new Peruvian restaurant that I go to, I just have to try their Lomo Saltado since that's my barometer for Peruvian cuisines, and Bodegon No 69 very much delivers! The Lomo Saltado is a classic, must-try staple in Peruvian cuisine. Cooked in a wok with soy sauce (there is a lot of Chinese influence in Peruvian cuisine due to the historical Silver trade between China and Spain within Peru), the best kinds of Lomo Saltado is bursting with flavor. The Beef here is thick and hearty, and the sauce is so delicious. The fries are also nice and crisp, too. There's a reason it's one of my favorite dishes and Bodegon serves it well! To be fair, Bodegon is a bit pricier than majority of Peruvian restaurants that I've gone to, but it also offers a few items I have not seen elsewhere. Most notably, the Anticuchos or beef heart skewers. Heart is one of those meat choices that can be polarizing because of its tougher chewy texture (it is a muscle after all), but this Anticuchos grilled meat is just tender enough and the flavor is so good, especially with their Rocoto Sauce and Patata Brava (Peruvian-style fries potatoes). Only the corn feels forgettable. It's an adventurous dish that is rewarding to your taste buds! On the other hand, the Tiradito a La Crema Ceviches is a bit underwhelming. It's thin-sliced Hamachi and the mild Aji Amarillo sauce is just a bit polite and mild-mannered. Maybe the other Ceviches are better here. Lastly, you can't really have Peruvian cuisine without the proper Peruvian drinks, and I highly suggest the Inka Cola and if you fancy an alcoholic drink, the delicious Pisco Sour,which is the national cocktail consisting of pisco (grape brandy), lime juice, syrup, and egg white, with bitter sprinkled up top. It may be similar to a margarita, but it is just so much tastier! All in all, Bodegon No 69 has some delicious, albeit pricier, but delicious Peruvian cuisine. Just skip the Traditional Ceviches. The staff is wonderful and so friendly and the interior is very cozy and warm. read more

The food was really good and the interior is very cozy!! I heard this is one of the best Peruvian places so I had to give it a try, and I recommend everyone to try it out! Service was quick and everyone was really kind. I haven't had much Peruvian food in my life so I don't have a baseline to compare to, but the reason why I initially gave 4 stars (before now changing to 5, see below) is because I felt that I was missing something from the food. There wasn't a wow factor, and sometimes I felt that the dishes came with some "fluff" of other ingredients, particularly with the ceviche where the corn nuts gave a nice crunch but felt just thrown in to enlarge the dish. Also the giant corn appetizer I got was good and the queso fresco was really fresh, but lacked a depth of flavor and did not seem worth $12. I'd definitely recommend this place to try though at least once!! **To revise this review, I was told recently by Chef Sandra that the giant corn (choclo) and corn nuts (cancha) are imported directly from Peru for authentic flavor, hence the higher prices. I highly respect that and personally just think the food wasn't amazing for me (tho will just have to get more dishes next time) but I KNOW for certain that most people would really enjoy it! I had the papa huancaina. The potatoes were super tender. The ají/cheese sauce was rich and luscious. I enjoyed it very much. My only issue was the sauce had a bitter after taste I couldn't get used to. I'm not sure what made ot bitter and I've never experienced that in other places where I've had papas a la huancaina (even in Peru). Yeah! I wanted to give 5 stars if it weren't for that odd aftertaste. Oh! And the restroom was shocking!! I went to use it before leaving and one stall was out of order with a black trash bag over the toilet and it looked like someone ripped a hole in the bad to use the toilet anyway bc there was visible feces in it. The other stall was awful with a an extra large period pad that was saturated with blood wrapped in a ball (with the bloody part on the outside) perched on the small shelf by the toilet. I know staff can't control what people leave behind. The toilet itself was dirty and used. The floors were dirty. Needless to say the restroom was unusable and basically a petri dish. I left and let the bartender know. It seemed obvious the restrooms are not closely tended to. read more

I didn't realize that it's not the sweet type of corn but has the corn flavor like in corn tortillas. Flavor was delicious with a strong buttery, garlicky flavor that paired well with the cheese. For the price, did not think this dish was worth it as it was just corn and cheese. 2. Ceviche B69 - Very delicious! It was a nice combo of many different forms of seafood and some crispy fried calamari. The sauce was the perfect combo of savory and sour that complimented everything nicely. The dish comes with corn and pine nuts and some slices of yam. I felt that the portion was kinda small and the garnishes were nothing special for the price. 3. Chancho al Palo - Came highly recommended since they usually sell out of this dish and is apparently very hard to find in LA. Presentation is stunning. The meat has a very crunchy and salty-flavorful skin paired with the perfect amount of fat and meat. Perhaps it is just because I don't like fatty meat but eating on the lean portions, I felt that the meat was dry and lacked flavor. I didn't get the saltiness and smokiness like I got from the skin. The plantains were really delicious though - loved the char paired with the soft interior. Again, for the price, I just felt like there wasn't a lot to the dish and I was not wowed. 4. Lomo Saltado - This is what I genuinely came for and it delivered. The meat was super juicy and perfectly seasoned. The way it is cut is nice so that it is easy to eat. The fries came perfectly crispy and added nice texture to the dish. If you can handle spicy food, make sure to eat with the green sauce they provide since it adds a nice complimentary flavor of spiciness and freshness from the cilantro and lime. We visited Bodegon No 69 for the first time on 06/14/2025 with a party of five. There is quite a bit of seating inside. They did have a whole outdoor area (street side) that was not utilized; however, that might be something that the city is planning on taking down (I don't know, but it is a guess) They do serve wine, beer and "wine based" cocktails. I had the Sangria; however, was a bit disappointed that it did not come dressed up with fruits as Sangria normally does. It was the concert day for AC/DC and they were playing all their music so the vibes were high. The service was quite attentive. The maracuya is on the sour side for my liking but still enjoyed it. The Mahi mahi ceviche was delicious. For our entrees, our table ordered the Lomos Saltado, Seco con frejoles, Tallarin Saltado Pollo, and the Cau Cau. The Lomos Saltado and Seco con Frejoles were our favorites and we would definitely return to order these two dishes again. My friends also enjoyed the Cau Cau and the Tallarin.
