Woah, I read some article about Loli Farms being one of the best rotisserie chickens in the city and not gonna lie, I was mildly skeptical. Have heard lots of other rotisserie chickens being touted as "one of the best" and they wind up being dry or just okay. Today, I came here on the way home to try it out and I'm so glad I did. The chicken is AMAZING--smoky, juicy, and tender without being overbrined or overcooked. Even the breast meat, after sitting in a hot container for 45 minutes, was delicious. The chicken travels well (fries do not of course) and I'm definitely getting delivery for lazy weeknight dinners. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I asked about their drinks cause I couldn't find a menu for it. The passionfruit is quite tart but so flavorful! I loved the chincha morada. I'm not familiar enough with Peruvian food to speak on authenticity but this was just GOOD food. Got a side of fried plantains and garlic fries--plantains are perfectly caramelized on the outside, yummy! Then remodeling took place and Loli Farms was born. Took us a while before we walked in to try as we had no idea what they served until it popped up as a recommendation. Have never had Peruvian rotisserie chicken until the day we tried it. The chicken was moist and certain parts of it were very well seasoned (a bit too much on the wings). The portion was more than enough for my wife to share plus enough for a chicken salad the next day (we ordered a whole chicken). Sauces that were provided were both tasty but I did prefer the green. Loli Farms is a Peruvian restaurant that also sells a little kitchen staples, snacks and drinks. There is no signage at all so if it's your first time, use GPS. There's a small parking lot but can fill up quickly. There's also street parking. They've been here for about a year and is the more casual sister restaurant of Bodegón No.69, also in Pasadena about 10 minutes away. Once inside, grab a menu or look on the monitor to decide. Paper menu is better because the monitor has a glare and rotates the images often. Everything is self service. Order and pick up at the counter. Self service sauces or drinks in the large cooler towards the back, and even bus your own tables. Seating is first come, first serve. Even though there is also outdoor seating, it can all fill up at times. They're known for their roasted chicken, so that's what we ordered. A whole chicken with two sides: mashed potatoes that has the roasted chicken drippings poured over it and plantains. The chicken was full of flavor, juicy and worked great with the green sauce. We also got the Salchipapas, which is basically french fries sliced sausage covered with various sauces. It's not bad, but not great and feels like something I can make at home. But the highlight is no doubt the chicken. There wasn't much service, but the interaction with the staff was pleasant. They all seem very nice with a friendly smiles. Tip: many people grabbed a 2 L bottle of the Inca cola from the cooler. It's a Peruvian soda and for someone who does not drink sodas, this is pretty damn good if you like it these can also be found in Mexican markets probably for a cheaper price. Finally tried Loli Farms after seeing it on Instagram, and it's such a cute little place! The inside is very warm and welcoming, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. We got the chicken sandwich and the 1/4 chicken. The chicken sandwich is loaded with a lot of meat and very filling. The 1/4 chicken is seasoned very well, and I also really liked the plantains. My friends and I decided on meeting up for dinner and we chose this spot. It is almost cafeteria set up as far as seating. It smells delicious when walking in. I ordered the salchipapas that had the combination of beef and pork sausage and it had their secret sauce, mustard, and ketchup. I can tell when sausages are not fresh because I usually get sick. It was very cultural. I found out they only have Lomo Salado sandwich, not the typical lomo Salado dish. I can order their signature chicken. I got the quarter chicken with fries. Lolli Farms is the yummy new addition to Pasadena! Healthy chicken that comes out quick regardless of the long line. Parking can be an issue and sometimes eating in the restaurant. But we usually take ours to go and eat closeby at Cal Tech. We have been bringing our own drinks as we don't love their drink selections but we don't care about that too much because the food is stellar. It smells heavenly here. The chickens are roasted in their oven in batches and cut fresh out of the oven. The seasoning is exquisite, but do try their different sauces, it makes all the difference. If you haven't had wood-fired rotisserie, please go! This taste like something from the olden days or a regular thing in another country. I really like that they cook their own fries (not frozen manufactured type). There's no signage outside but it's at the corner of the street, don't let this place fool you from the outside. The moment you step in, you'll know why this review is telling you to. If I had a choice for pollo a la brasa, this is it. Half a chicken at $18 is shareable, and a whole $30 chicken with two sides is what my fat ass would want all day. I really think it's one of the best rotisserie I've tried. The smoky skin with a juicy breast...oh I am in need of some chicken while writing this! The skin is slightly crispy with an excellent golden brown color, the wings are not dried to crisps and still have a great texture (if you like skin) even after being in the oven. I attribute this to the indirect wood flame in the oven. Garlic fries are great (please add less salt if you guys are reading this), plantains are great (pretty sweet, I think it's a banana instead), and the yellow sauce just goes well on almost anything. Their aji Verde is spicy, but when you mix some with the yellow sauce, it is so tasty with literally everything. Their yellow drink is sweet, tangy, and tropical, I like it. The burgundy drink taste and smell like Bed Bath & Beyond in a good way, I really like this one since it has a great balance of sugar and flavor. Definitely give their agua frescas a try. I really like the tall guy doing the cashiering and assembly, he's really kind and helpful at answering questions. He also brought us plates and sauces without asking. Ok, so the chicken is five stars all day, but I'm only giving four because the wait can be lengthy and I think the mashed potatoes are instant, but they're still super tasty and a nice compliment (I smeared the mash on each bite of chicken and it was delicious). It's sweet, crunchy, and tastes fresh. The mashed potatoes were good, I enjoyed them but I think they are instant. The service, once you get to the counter which can take a bit, is friendly but moves quickly so be ready to order. The seating is sorta comfy but can be difficult when busy as the place is small with limited availability to sit. The overall ambiance, when I was there, was friendly and lively. They have some sauces in the cooler which you help itself to; don't forget to try those because they make the meal even tastier. The prices are sorta fair, they do have a parking lot which can fill up quickly, and the bathroom is outside at the side of the building. It's a bit tough after you order to get service if they're busy, so ask all of your questions while ordering. The whole restaurant has this incredible smoky aroma from the wood fire oven, and it hits you as soon as you walk in. I actually saw this place on Instagram from an influencer. I really like Lomo Saltado and they advertise a sandwich version so I had to give it a try. It's a small place on a busy corner in Pasadena, not much parking but you can park on street for a dollar for an hour. The man taking the orders, I think he's the owner, is very nice. I went with the Lomo Saltado sandwich with a side of cole slaw to go. The cole slaw was very fresh and tasty. The cabbage was crunchy. The sandwich was a little different than a regular plated version of lomo saltado in that inside the sandwich was the sliced beef, onions, and tomatoes. The french fries were on the side and they had a nice au jus for dipping the sandwich. My only suggestion, hopefully they will consider it, is that the bread not be cut through to make it halves and to just create a pocket so that when picking it up to dip, all the insides don't fall out which made it very difficult to eat. So glad I saw someone post about Loli Farms on FB's SGV Eats! You place your order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. Since it's a casual dining spot, we also bussed our own table when we finished. We may have gone a little overboard with the ordering because we were so excited, but no regrets! We got the half chicken with yucca fries and coleslaw, a chicken sandwich, a side of white rice & plantains, a chicken tamale, and a freshly made chicha morada. The chicken was incredibly juicy and tender, and the sides were just as tasty, especially the yucca fries! They gave us both the green and yellow sauces. The yellow is mild and creamy, but if you like heat, the green sauce brings it! The chicken sandwich was made with the same delicious rotisserie chicken. It had a bit too much sauce for my taste, but my husband really enjoyed it. The tamale came out last and was absolutely worth the wait, so flavorful! We couldn't finish everything, but the leftovers were just as good the next day. So happy Loli Farms is in our neighborhood, we'll definitely be back! Loli Farms - half chicken with two sides - Peruvian Near Me - Pasadena, California

Was looking forward to trying this new place for Peruvian Rotisserie chicken and it met and exceeded my expectations. We ordered the whole chicken with 2 large sides and added the Salchipapas and not a crumb was left behind. It was a perfect meal for our family of 4. The chicken was delicious! Even the white meat parts were juicy. And the yucca fries had the perfect crunch on the outside and tender inside. There were only 2 people taking orders and serving but they were knowledgeable and quick. I left to go wash my hands and our order was waiting for me before I returned. Lots of seating and casual "serve yourself" plates and utensils and water. And if you love Peruvian soda, you could order the Family Style which gives you a bottle of their soda too. read more
