Not much in terms of decoration, but it is spacious and comfortable. The Fish Cakes were not loaded with fillers and were quite flavorful. Yum Woon Sen is a winner, especially if you like glass noodles, but you need to have high tolerance. I bit into some chili, and it took a while for me to recover, but great flavor. The Khao Soi with vegetables was generously portioned. You get a lot of different veggies including cabbage, bok choy & broccoli. Mom had Khao Soi with tofu. They offered fried tofu (not the soft kind) which was a bit tough according to her, a wonderful dish nevertheless. Service was attentive and friendly. We were offered complimentary pudding in 3 different flavors, coconut, mango and chocolate. They were all good, but my favorite was mango. The restaurant is located in the same strip mall as Vons and parking is plentiful. Definitely recommend.

I'm glad the owner opened up a second location, and it's in Pasadena. I love that many of the entrees can be customized to be vegan-friendly for my husband, and how tasty the food is, just like their Monrovia location. The space they took over from another Thai restaurant feels really dated, and it appeared that there was only one server assisting all customers on a Saturday afternoon during our visit. Also, they are not carrying the same menu items that are offered at the Monrovia location, such as the Thai Boat Noodles. Nevertheless, I am glad there's another great Thai restaurant nearby.

We were in the area for a family member having a surgical procedure. We were immediately greeted by a nice lady that was attentive and willing to serve us. It's a small to medium size restaurant that is simply decorated with basic tables. We order the Pad se ew and the satay chicken. Everything came out pretty quick and was seasoned and cooked well. The serving sizes are pretty good and you will not go away hungry.

First time coming to Thai Thyme. Heard good things online and wanted to check it out in person. They have a Monrovia location but just opened this location in Pasadena. Got their papaya salad with shrimp medium spicy. Just the perfect amount of spice and refreshing. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. Their grilled shrimp with garlic pepper sauce is a must get. Cooked perfectly and sauce is great! BBQ chicken had a lot of flavor and had a nice char flavor. Not dry at all. Would get it again. I'll definitely be coming back.

The food was so good. Great service and nice atmosphere. Easy parking. Will come back definitely!

    Khao Soi Noodle Soup

Very delicious food; Tried the Noodle Soup with Coconut Curry, it's amazing, has strong coconut flavor and sweet to the right extent, asked mild spicy and it's indeed mild, unlike the usual case where it's not spicy or too spicy. The food is also in large portions. Overall it warms me up in this chilly rainy night. The restaurant seems a bit understaffed though, maybe because it's on New Year's Eve.

Such a solid thai food place in Pasadena! I stumbled upon this place for a quick lunch on Tuesday lunch (12:30 PM). Even though it was a lunch prime time, food came out so quickly and server lady was so nice. We got chicken Khao Soi, Pad See Ew, and Chicken Satay. Khao Soi was creamy and delicious - very solid Khao Soi I tried in the states. Pad see ew was good also and chicken satay was bomb! So tender and warm. Overall I really enjoyed dining here - casual vibe, amazing service and food, and reasonable price. 10/10 recommended to check out

Walking in you get to see a nice display case of various pastries and a cute space with a few tables set up. They also have seating outside on Green if you prefer al fresco dining. It seems they have more substantial food than just pastries but I was just after the pastries. Staff were all kind and friendly, helped me pack up my goodies and I basically gobbled them up as I was walking some more. I got the canele and really enjoyed it. It had a nice, crisp exterior with a very soft, custardy center. Texturally, the canele was great. The paris-brest was also pretty good (doesn't rival ones I've had in Paris but thats likely a high bar). I found the praline cream super decadent and rich with hazelnut flavor but the choux itself wasn't amazing. However, I found out afterwards that this is a fully vegan establishment and was astounded that they got such wonderful textures and flavors without butter. With that knowledge, I was amazed at the renditions of these desserts and think its an amazing option for folks with a vegan diet to have excellent French pastries. I definitely recommend it as a vegan bakery and even as a great bakery for non-vegans.

We didn't have any of the brunch dishes this visit--we specifically came for the coffee and pastries--but after this experience, we'll definitely be coming back to try the food next time. The cortado was made with Boxx Coffee Roasters beans, and after chatting with the barista, I learned they also have a dedicated water filtration system specifically for their coffee. That level of attention to detail isn't something you expect from every brunch café, and it definitely showed in the final cup. The cortado was well executed. The milk was smoothly integrated with the espresso, creating a balanced body that held together throughout the drink instead of separating after a few sips. It was served in the proper glass with clean presentation and solid latte art. The temperature was slightly hotter than my personal preference, which is understandable in a brunch setting, but overall it was a great cortado and far better than what many brunch cafés serve. The pain au chocolat was outstanding as well and a perfect pairing with the cortado. The service made the visit even better. Our server, Michael (aka Bev), was welcoming, attentive, and provided excellent service from start to finish. I also had the chance to compliment the barista on the cortado. Although I didn't get her name, she was very kind, took a few minutes to explain their coffee program, and shared that they use Boxx Coffee beans along with a dedicated water system to ensure the cleanest possible cup. It's always nice to meet people who genuinely care about what they're serving. Overall, Oh La La exceeded my expectations. It's refreshing to find a brunch café that puts this much effort into its coffee program while also serving great pastries. I'll definitely be back--next time for the food as well.

I know that food is super expensive these days, but it was too much for what it was. The jambon beurre was not traditional; the baguette was so thick and wide, which overpowered the ham and cheese. The chicken club was nothing to write home about. On the plus side, the pastries were fantastic. I even tolerated the raisins so I could devour the orange wheel croissant. We did wait about an hour, but honestly I didn't mind at all because it gave us a chance to relax, talk, and catch up as a family. They looked like literal pieces of art being poured at the table. Ordering was super easy with the QR code system, so my husband handled the whole spread: shumai dumplings, chicken feet, sesame balls, and more. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully plated. The ENTIRE table agreed on one thing: the chili oil condiment deserves to be sold in bottles to take home. It was that good. Smoky, just the right amount of spicy, and addictive. Now for the real test: my in-laws. They've been to *many* dim sum places and are not easily impressed. They declared this place to have the best chicken feet that they've ever had: meat easily sucked off the bone, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and perfectly seasoned. High praise coming from dim sum veterans. Most importantly, my parents' first dim sum experience couldn't have been better. They loved everything from the ambiance to the food to the overall experience. My husband and I want to come back to explore more of the menu because there's clearly so much more to try

Upon entering, it felt a lot more modern and hipster than the Nha Trang in San Gabriel which feels more like a hole in the wall place. I had just gone to the Nha Trang in San Gabriel the weekend before so it was quite the shock to see all the items $2 higher. The Bun Bo Hue here doesn't include the blood cake for free like the one in San Gabriel. Instead, it costs $1.50 extra. However, they offer unlimited noodle refills here but you can't take any of it home. Do note veggie refills cost extra too. The noodles here are thicker than that in San Gabriel. They were chewy. I would say the broth seems more salty and a little less flavorful, maybe because I didn't add the chili sauce on the side. I do like that they put it on the side since I don't handle spice well. The highlight Tom Hoa Tien (shrimp and taro egg rolls). They were so crispy and fresh. The shrimp paired really well with the creamy taro. The sauce was a nice touch too though it tastes great without as well. Service was good, but I would've preferred if they offered some more napkins. Also, it was unclear if we could take home the soup (with some leftover noodles) if we got noodle refills without being charged since they mentioned we'd be charged if we take it home. In the end, we ate all the noodles just to be safe. Street parking is limited in the area. We parked in a nearby paid parking structure (Play House Parking). Overall, I much prefer the San Gabriel location.
