    Short Rib Combo Pho

Besides everything being absolutely delicious - they are VERY generous with the meat. The broth is extremely flavorful and hits the spot every time. Got the chicken wings this time and the flavor and crisp was phenomenal - definitely worth the try.

#14 Pho Khong with beef broth

Earlier today I had to make a stop in this shopping center. There was a distinct aroma in the air of something absolutely delicious that caught my attention. My nose sussed it out, and literally lead me by the nose to Pho on California. It was mid day and I was in my groove, but grabbed my phone and bookmarked it on Yelp. As I went about my day, my mind was still pondering the fragrant aroma of the broth, a slightly sweet smell and layered notes promising a delight to the tastebuds. Returned home I announced "Soup for dinner!" In a large stock pot I put an assortment of veggies to simmer in bone broth. I had viewed the menu via Yelp and knew I wanted to go back and get their broth and noodles. #14 on the menu. You know how when you cook for yourself everything, no matter how good, tastes as would be expected. By adding the $12 of broth and noodles we are going to have two hearty nights of dinner that are definitely a notch above in flavor. 5 stars for my delicious to go order was ready by the time I hit the Yelp check in button! I am excited to return for a dine-in experience soon and will order plenty to-go to jazz up my epicurean adventures at home.

The pho broth was delicious. I really appreciated that when the pho came out, the broth was piping hot . I really don't like when some restaurants bring it out and the broth is only lukewarm. The egg rolls and chicken wings were also tasty. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely be back.

First time visitor and thought the short rib combination pho was so good! They were very generous with their meats that I actually wanted more noodles lol The meat and noodle ratio was a bit off because of that lol but the meat was very tender, especially the short rib. The broth was just the tiniest bit salty but that's probably because we went right before closing (sorry and thank you to the staff for serving us!!) and the broth was cooking all day. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The thai tea was good too. Thank you - will definitely come back for the short rib pho!

Now that I've tried more options on their menu, I am even more enamored. You won't regret it! Every item on their menu is made with love and full of flavor, with reasonable prices, and sweet staff.

So happy to find Pho on California. Delicious everything from the pho to bun to bahn mi and drinks too! The Vietnamese Coffee is drip drip fresh!!! Service is quick and friendly and the restaurant was packed for lunch!

Good stuff. Proportions were quite big. Almost couldn't finish the pho. Service was fast. The brisket in the pho was good.

Solid Pho Place! Been here a few times and the experience is always pleasant. We discovered it last year while visiting family across the street at Huntington Memorial Hospital. They're located in Vons Shopping plaza. Staff is quick and efficient, perfect for quick bite. The space is small and can get crowded on busy days. Though they have outdoor seating, it's limited to 3 small tables. Prices are reasonable and decent size portions. The pho here is terrific. We got chicken and short rib combo (short rib, brisket and rare steak). Both broths were flavorful and on point. Noodles are more on thinner side, very well prepared and just right. Hardly needed any utensils for short rib, it was fall off the bone tender. Only complaint is there skimpy on bean sprouts, jalapeno and lime. It would have been nice to have more veggies. We also tried pork egg rolls which were good. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

I cannot stop coming to this place!! The food is addictingly good, if I only had $25 to my name I would spend it HERE no doubt. I am always satisfied with the taste and amount of food, because it is SO DELICIOUS and the portions are SO generous!!! I definitely recommend it, the staff are really friendly and helpful when you can't remember a menu name, and the restaurant has peaceful and warm local vibes which makes you feel comfortable the whole time :)) Genuinely one of my favorites and I would so so so totally recommend I hope it goes famous so everyone can enjoy the BEST PHO EVER

MSG is naturally occurring in many foods such as mushroom, tomato, and cheese. Not really sure what the point of your question is.

How is the vegetarian option? Has anyone tried it?

They have a variety of vegetarian/vegan options that are really good. I recommend the veggie pho, it's one of my favorites

My go-to is the beef noodle soup with knife-cut noodles, and I love the meaty beef rib. The broth is comforting, the noodles have that great chewy texture, and the beef is exactly what I want when I am craving something warm and filling. I keep telling myself I should branch out and try more of their noodle dishes, but my heart simply cannot say no to the beef noodle soup. I have also had the dumplings and beef rolls before, and both are good as well. The place can get full, but it is always worth it and genuinely never disappoints. Overall, Noodle Street is a reliable favorite for a cozy meal, especially when the weather calls for something warm, hearty, and satisfying.

The noodles came with plenty of chicken, potatoes, onions, bell peppers, and of course, knife-cut, hand-pulled noodles. The dish had quite a kick. They went heavy on the Szechuan peppercorn, and my mouth was tingling during all of dinner! The chicken was tender, and the noodles were fresh and perfectly chewy. But in my opinion, there were just too many onions! I felt like I had to dig through onions to find the noodles. The scallion pancakes were delicious. They came out hot and perfectly crispy. The service was also great. The staff was friendly and kept my glass of water full.

The service is consistently great... attentive, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Fair warning for anyone new to Sichuan cuisine, the dominant flavor is "spicy". If you're a fan of bold, authentic flavors and reliable service, this spot is definitely worth visiting. Tip - If you're new to the cuisine, I strongly recommend getting everything MILD spicy. I've been told by some of my colleagues that MILD spicy is still pretty spicy, so be warned. With that said, strongly recommend the dishes below. Lamb with Cumin 11/10 - My favorite dish here by far. Aromatic, flavorful, and the spices are just on point. Dan Dan Noodles 9/10 - Solid and consistently good. The sauce is properly seasoned and truly compliments the perfectly cooked noodles. Shredded Cabbage with Pork 9/10 - Not to be confused with twice cooked pork. This dish is so simple and bland looking, but it's packed with flavor... so good! Garlic Pork Belly 8/10 - This is a cold dish. The meat was perfectly cooked and properly coated in chili oil. Solid and consistently good. The restaurant is bright, spacious, and welcoming, and the aroma of the simmering broth filled the air the moment we walked in. My coworker ordered the Beef Curry and Rice with a Vegetable Korokke and thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. One of the highlights of our visit was the Black Truffle Chawanmushi. It was absolutely divine! The silky steamed egg combined with shrimp, scallops, and the rich truffle sauce created layers of incredible umami flavor. We tried the yuzu shio ramen and the karaage chicken curry rice bowl. The yuzu shio ramen was definitely lighter and more citrusy because of the yuzu, which I can appreciate, though it wasn't necessarily my preferred ramen flavor profile. I ordered it with chicken instead of pork, and I really appreciated that the karaage chicken came on the side so it stayed crispy and didn't get soggy in the broth. My partner really enjoyed the karaage chicken curry rice bowl. We also tried the tamagoyaki appetizer for the first time. Interesting flavor profile, but honestly it didn't really pair well with the rest of what we ordered, so we ended up taking most of it home and never really finishing it. Some of my favorites are the beef rolls, spicy wontons, green onion pancake, chow fun, orange chicken, and chow mein noodles. The noodles are especially good and, importantly, not overly greasy or oily, which can sometimes be an issue at other places. The prices are also competitive, especially considering the portions and quality of the food. It is the kind of place where you can order a good spread, share a bunch of dishes, and feel like you got a solid meal for the money. I also love that they bring out sugared peanuts when you sit down. It is a small touch, but a really nice one. The restaurant has plenty of seating, though service can be a bit slow at times, so good luck flagging down a waiter when it gets busy. You can also tell they are a high-volume dumpling restaurant because there is often steam in the dining room, which can make the restaurant feel a little warm at times.
