This place reminds me of homestyle Thai cooking. It's a small place run by a hardworking and friendly couple. Parking is easily available on the street in front of the store or in the back. There are a few tables inside and the interior is clean. They run promos often with freebies such as Thai tea if you meet a purchase minimum. My go to orders are boat noodle, tom yum soup, curry, and crab fried rice. The boat noodle has rich flavor that I can't find anywhere else in the area. Tom yum comes with a lot of shrimp and the they don't skimp on the crab in the fried rice either. Portions are generous and I have enough leftovers for a full meal the next day. Their new item drunken spaghetti reminds me of the one I had in Thailand. Golden bags are excellent as appetizers. They're fried but not too oily and have delicious filling. Their Thai tea deserves a shoutout too. It tastes authentic and not watered down. Their online ordering platform makes getting takeout easy.

Honestly I never would've found this place if it wasn't for Yelp. It's located in the shopping center right next to the Forza gas station on Duarte x Santa Anita. There isn't a big sign or anything so you really have to want to look for it to find it. They just opened 7 months ago, so they're new to the area. There's plenty of parking in the back, turn right in the bigger driveway after Peacock Donuts - the first one before Peacock Donuts is uncomfortably narrow. You have to enter the restaurant from the front. Luckily my son's wheelchair baaaarely fit through the sign pole between the gas station and the building where the restaurant is so we didn't have to go all the way around. The restaurant is small with enough seating for about 15 people. The lady who worked there was super nice and constantly rearranged our plates to fit on the table (we ordered a lot of food). The menu has a lot of the standard Thai dishes, but the one thing they have there that I don't often see in other Thai restaurants I go to is Khao Soi (they spelled it Khow Soi), so I had to order it. If you've never tried it, it's egg noodles in a curry broth, with crispy egg noodles on top. The one at Thara 8 is well done and really delicious. They offer lunch specials Mon - Sat from 11 am - 3 pm that come with rice, a fried dumpling and a salad. In addition to the Khao Soi, We also got the lunch special of Pad Thai Chicken, lunch special Pumpkin Curry Shrimp, Drunken Noodle, and Tom Kah Shrimp noodle w/ thin rice noodle. Everything was really good. The pumpkin curry was great , but my favorite dish was the Khao Soi! I loved the crunchy noodle mixed with the soft noodles and the broth was so flavorful. I would've liked the drunken noodle to be spicy as I'm used to it being a spicy dish, and this was not. The Tom Kah Shrimp was a bit too coconutty for me personally. It's probably traditionally made, but I was expecting it to be more soupy/brothy rather than thick and creamy. Overall we enjoyed our meal here, come support this new local business if you're craving some Thai food!

Cozy little Thai restaurant that offers lots of authentic and delicious dishes. The flavor and presentation are top notch, with decent portions and good value. The interior is very small with limited seating, but a nice and quiet ambiance. The staff are very friendly.

Finally this place is opened. I've been looking for a Thai restaurant, ever since the previous location in Pasadena changed owners and he opened this one. The food is super delicious with the right amount of sweetness. I tried their tofu roll and it's a must to eat with their peanut sauce. The service was great! The owner ensured we had a great experience and the food came out quick. This is my new go to Thai restaurant in Arcadia.

Thara 8 Thai cuisine has excellent Thai food. The restaurant is very small so you might have to wait. We fortunately arrived at a good time. The ambience is charming. We ordered chicken pad thai, tofu drunken chicken, and pineapple fried rice. All three were spot on. The pad thai wasn't too sweet, the fried rice was very tasty, and the drunken chicken was flavorful but quite a bit spicy. The service was fast and friendly. The pricing reasonable Be aware that they don't have a public restroom. Overall, highly recommend.

Decided to try out this new place with friends. There is plenty of parking in the back. It's located right across the street from the Arcadia Public library and in the same block as 85 degrees bakery and Xian Foodie. Inside, it's very small with only two small tables and window high seats. The lady at the register was friendly but service was mid. Maybe cause they're new but they had us come to them to place the order and didn't refill our water. Water was in small paper cups. Everything was in takeout containers. We tried four dishes and they tasted pretty good but portions are rather small for the price, even the lunch specials. - Golden bags ($8.95): 8 pieces, they look smaller in person. Very crispy and inside was savory with meat and mushrooms. 4/5 - Red Curry Chicken ($13.95): lunch special and had salad, 2 fried dumplings and rice. The takeout container had empty sections which made the portion feel even smaller. Dumplings taste like the frozen kind. Salad dressing was decent. Curry was pretty good, not too spicy and had some zucchini and bamboo shoots. 3/5 - Pad Thai ($13.95): also lunch special and only comes with salad and 2 pieces of fried dumplings. Strangely, they put the salad with the Pad Thai. The noodles were saucy but leans very sweet. 3/5 - Boat Noodle Soup ($15.95): average portion that wouldn't be very filling for one person. Had some slices of beef. Kind of reminds me of pho. Pretty spicy. Overall the portions are not big and was not filling for the four of us. There are better Thai places for better portions in the area.

First time coming to this place restaurant. Place is pretty small and can only accommodates for take out but the space is very welcoming. Menu is pretty extensive nonetheless, they even got a couple lunch specials that run from 11-3! Ordered around 5 items mostly pan fried noodles dishes and a couple appetizers and a Thai ice tea. The speed they got the order out was great with only a 15 (more like 12 min) wait. Enjoyed the food but the golden bags and Mama Kee Mao were the star of the show! Overall very filling for a good price. Definitely will be coming back around to try other things including their soups.

This is my new favorite local Thai restaurant. 5/5 Golden Bags My whole family loves this fun appetizer. It is crispy and filled with ground chicken, mushroom and bamboo shoots. My picky eater did not mind the vegetables. It comes with a side of sweet and sour sauce. 4/5 Eggplant Curry Includes eggplants, bell peppers, basil, and choice of protein (I chose tofu) cooked in green curry and coconut milk. The curry sauce was perfect consistency, not too thick or watery, and the ingredients were generously portioned including the rice! When I order curry at other restaurants they usually have curry a la carte or they give very little rice. I will definitely try their other curry dishes next time. I have a feeling that I will find a favorite here. 3.5/5 Crab Fried Rice The rice was flavorful, fluffy, and not too oily. There was a good amount of crab, but I think I will try it with another protein next time. Pad See Ew with Tofu This was made with Chinese broccoli and had large chunks of tofu. I did not get to try it, so I cannot really comment the taste.

Golden bags, a round version of an egg roll. Best appetizer ever!

Formerly Suriya Thai of Pasadena, now Thara 8 of Arcadia! I'm so glad this place is closer to me now! I have been waiting to try my favorite appetizer again for so long. Now that they have soft opened, I had to get down here to have them again! They are still as loud and crunchy as I remember! Right now there is only a bench along the wall to sit, so it's take out only. When they grand open, there should be some more seating. We ordered pad see ew and some yellow curry. My guest raved that it was better than noodle world. And that he would bring his Mom and Daughter because he lives alot closer than I do. We also had excellent, friendly service the whole time. Will definitely come back!

Swing by for a quick fix at my favorite Thai Place Thara8 never disappoint. I am Thai and this place serves AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD!!! The egg noodle with beansprout is spot on and the soup is so simple but perfect to sooth my tummy on the cold day. The roti with condense milk is so fluffy, crispy and right amount of sweet. Now.......the best of the best of the best of thr evening is.......SUPER FLAVORFUL THAI ICED TEA!!! DELICIOUS!! the owner secretly told me they adjusted the recipe to make it stronger specially for tea lovers.....and I am one of them!! On top of everything, the service is so superb and the food was fast! The place is clean and simple, music was nice. 10 out of 10 for me!

As…read moresomeone born and raised in Xi'an, the flavors here felt genuinely authentic, and I already know I'll be back. We ordered the Youpo Noodles with Beef Brisket, Marinated Beef Sandwich, and Cumin Lamb Sandwich. The marinated beef sandwich was the standout. They absolutely nailed the execution, from the tender, flavorful meat to the texture of the bread. I would come back for this alone. It immediately took me back to eating rou jia mo from a street cart while walking around Xi'an, which is about the highest compliment I can give it. The noodles were freshly handmade, wonderfully springy, and completely soaked with flavor. The beef brisket made them even more satisfying. The cumin lamb sandwich was the only item I felt slightly on the fence about. The filling was good, but I personally wanted a little more seasoning and a stronger cumin flavor. The interior is spacious and clean, service was fast and painless, and there is plenty of parking in the lot. Such a great addition to Arcadia and easily one of the better Xi'an spots I've tried in the area.

Everything was tender, aromatic, and clearly prepared with great care and attention to flavor and ingredients. Spice lovers will definitely be happy here, but even if you normally don't eat spicy food, you'll still find yourself going back for bite after bite. The restaurant itself is simple yet elegant, clean, and comfortable, with the warm feeling of a beloved local spot. Come for the food, but LOOK AT THIS PLACE…read more Okay, I have to start with the atmosphere because this place is absolutely STUNNING. The second you walk in, there is so much to look at. The woodwork, the hanging wooden plaques, the Japanese-inspired décor, the trees throughout the restaurant, the lighting, and especially the little honeycomb-style booths built into the walls. It almost feels like you've stepped into this little Japanese village rather than just another restaurant. Whoever designed this place understood the assignment. I went during the week, so thankfully it wasn't very crowded, and my friend and I were able to sit upstairs in one of the honeycomb booths. If one is available, DO IT. It made the whole experience that much more fun, and you get such a cool view of the restaurant from up there. Now, FOOD. I ordered the Pork Tonkatsu Omurice with curry sauce, which comes with chicken fried rice wrapped in that beautiful fluffy omelet, topped with pork tonkatsu and curry. When they bring it out, they actually ask if you'd like to record the presentation before they cut/open the egg--which, obviously, YES. It's one of those little touches that turns ordering food into an actual experience. And it was BOMB. The egg was fluffy, the pork tonkatsu had that crispy texture, and everything worked really well with the fried rice and curry. The curry itself isn't particularly spicy, so if you're someone who doesn't tolerate much heat, don't let the word curry scare you. It had plenty of flavor without being hot. Personally, I like my food SPICY spicy, so I added some extra spice to mine, but that's completely personal preference. I also ordered the Thai iced tea, and that was delicious--fresh, creamy, refreshing, and exactly what I wanted with the meal. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed the food, but I think the atmosphere is what pushed the experience over the top for me. The restaurant itself is just SO COOL. There are restaurants where you eat, leave, and that's it--and then there are places where you're looking around the entire time because you keep noticing another little detail. KYURAMEN was definitely the latter. Good food + Thai tea + an omurice presentation + sitting inside a freaking honeycomb booth overlooking this gorgeous restaurant? Yeah. I'm coming back. Tip: If you have the option to sit in one of the elevated honeycomb booths, absolutely take it. It makes the experience.

The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The Yakitori Platter was a great choice because it let us sample a variety of grilled proteins, and even the grilled zucchini was incredibly delicious. The presentation of the Tonkatsu Omurice was impressive, and the curry sauce was well-balanced with just the right amount of spice to complement the crispy tonkatsu. When the tomato egg noodle arrived, I was surprised by how little the sauce was compared to the amount of noodles, probably 2 tablespoons of sauce on top of the noodles and a few shredded cucumber. The cold jelly, according to the pictures, supposed to have some shredded bean curd and beans on top but again there was a few shredded cucumber on top of it and that was it. So I ask the server why the food looks different from the picture and she just answered "That's just how it is". Based on the amount of food we got, everything was overpriced. From my understanding this place was Michelin rated in 2021, I'm not sure how they got it, but quality definitely was not like that when they were rated.
