We've only done takeout and our orders are usually ready in ~20 minutes. We most recently got their Pad Thai (thin noodle with egg, bean sprouts, green onions, and tofu) at medium spice and their Yellow Curry (chicken, potatoes, onions, and carrots in coconut milk) at mild. Their curries don't come with rice, so make sure to order a side or have some at home already. And we enjoy spicy food, but here medium packs a lot of heat, so we tend to stick to mild. I lived in this area from 2010 to 2016. My friend and I were curious since it was just in the corner by our home. We both had been disappointed by Thai food some years ago and never thought we would give it a try. Everytime we passed by it smelled good. So one evening we gave it a try, OH man it was amazing flavors and TRUE Home made Soul Food. We both know it was a family run business. Really nice family. They had two daughters. Was staying in the area and found myself with hunger so I turned to Yelp/Google and found this little gem located near downtown Arcadia. I was hesitant because I hate to be disappointed and because it is only a take out establishment, but after a second thought I figured it would only be good because it is only a takeout place. We've been looking at this small to-go-only Thai restaurant for a while now and decided to try it. It looked promising after reading many online reviews, but this was definitely a disappointment. It's worth noting that their level of spice is on the more mild side. If you ask for mild, that means no spice, medium means very little, etc. We ordered the following: 1. Tom Yum soup with shrimp: the soup was good but not anything special. It is your usual tom yum soup you would expect at any Thai restaurant. 2. Chinese broccoli with crispy pork. Decent flavor but the dish has so much sauce, that it makes the pork soggy. Literally half the tray was filled with sauce. 3. Papaya salad with shrimp. Both the wife and I agree that we've never had a papaya salad we didn't like, until now. Half the container was filled with sauce and it tasted like it was pre-made and sitting in a large vat. The shrimp, however, was very tender and delicious. Probably the highlight of the meal. 4. Pad see ew with chicken. The noodles were overcooked and soggy. The chicken was a bit dry. Delicious and big portions! This place was great and not crowded when I went on a Thursday evening. It's takeout only and you order at the door / window. We ordered the teriyaki chicken all day special, fried rice, and wontons. It took about 15 minutes for them to make and we took it to go. The food was delicious - nice and hot! The teriyaki chicken had a lot of sauce so they wrapped it in foil inside the container which was helpful. They also put it inside of its own bag so that it wouldn't spill all over the other boxes of food- very considerate We also ordered a Coke and were pleasantly surprised by a very tall can of it. Normally I feel guilty buying a Coke at a restaurant where they serve it as a small single can because I'm like, "I paid too much for a small can... I can't believe I've lived in Arcadia for 20 years and today was the first time I visited this Thai restaurant. It's a pick up only restaurant with no dine-in. The food did not disappoint. The drunken noodles had big slices of chicken breast, big chucks of tomatoes and big flat flavorful noodles. I loved how you could customize the level of spiciness. I got mild and next time I may upgrade to medium so I can feel a little burn. Some places don't let you customize and I'm always dying from the hotness. I also got the chicken satay. The pad see ew was also flavorful and like the pad thai, were obligatory orders since this is a Thai restaurant. We did not order any white rice but the fried rice complemented the panang curry very well. The pad won sen had a bit too much sauce but it was still very enjoyable. The chicken egg rolls maintained its crunchy texture throughout every bite and went well with the sweet dipping sauce. Great little take-out only place on 2nd Ave in Arcadia. I phone in my order, it's ready when I get there in 10-15 minutes and the quality is consistent. It's a regular stop for me at least once per month. I haven't tried too much of the menu because I like their Green Curry and Larb so much I almost always order those. I like it spicy and order the curries "extra spicy", which comes out about right. Ask them for Prik Nam Pla (chiles in fish sauce) and Red Chile Paste if you like to add more spice while you eat, as I do. The order of Larb is huge for the price. I usually get the Green Curry with either pork or seafood. The seafood version is a larger serving with fish, shrimp, squid and scallops - nice mix. If I were inclined to nit pick, I'd add a little more veg to the curry, and serve the larb with the lettuce cups on the side, but good stuff. read more
