This place is our favorite Thai restaurant in SGV, warm atmosphere and staffs are friendly as always. This time we ordered pork jerky, it's our favorite appetizer. For the main dish, I tried Hollywood Pad Thai, was very tasty, big portion, the noodles were perfectly cooked, big shrimp mixed with their secret sauces. also my husband ordered Duck noodles, he said the duck meat is soft and the soup was really nice well balanced taste. There are more our favorite dishes that we like such as Pad see ewe, basil fried rice, pineapple fried rice and Tom Kha or Tom yum soup that we always order for to go too.

Been here several times over the years, but first time I noticed they participated in DineLA, so we took a short drive here. This review is based on one recent visit only since the owner told me they took over the business a year ago. The interior is spacious and clean. There's a small kiddy foosball table too. Classy lounge music doesn't really fit the Thai vibe is still nice. DineLA menu: We got tofu and vegetables, papaya salad with sticky rice and fried bananas. All were served in a single plate. Another item was Hollywood grilled chicken, chicken skewers, jasmine rice and fried bananas, also in a single plate. The chicken skewers were served with a dollop of peanut butter. One piece of tender, another was dry. The grilled chicken. He said it's chicken breast, but I got a leg quarter, served with a sweet & spicy sauce. Without it, the meat was bland. We also ordered Drunken Noodles (pad kee mao) with chicken. The menu was a bit misleading so the chicken was an extra charge. Other Thai places include some kind of protein. Unfortunately the chicken was dry and tough and the noodles didn't have that hot fire wok taste. The service was very friendly and personable. But for me, the food didn't wow me. I hope they do well because I'm always rooting for a family owned business.

Pad See Ew was ok

Ordered Doordash and got the Beef Pad See Ew because they were having BOGO deal so it was only $29 including tips/taxes for 2 orders! The Pad See Ew was decent. There was a lot of beef and it was very tender. The vegetables were ok since it seemed to consist of a lot of broccoli stems instead of actual broccoli. The noodles were very flavorful and not too greasy. Overall, it was not bad but I probably wouldn't purchase it again at full price.

Redemption! I saw they were offering a DineLA menu, and since this location has changed ownership, I wanted to give them another shot after my disappointing experience last time. I'm glad I did. They've clearly cleaned up the place, dining in is now much more comfortable and noticeably cleaner. Service was solid as well. We were consistently checked on and asked how everything was. Overall, the food was good, especially for DineLA. From the menu, I tried the following: Fish Cake - Simple but tasty appetizer. Nothing fancy, but enjoyable. (4/5) Hollywood Wonton - Crispy, well-fried, and flavorful. Pretty good overall. (4/5) Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken & Grilled Prawn - Surprisingly delicious. Simple, comforting, and packed with flavor. Probably my favorite dish of the night. (4.5/5) Crying Tiger with Sticky Rice - Tasty and straightforward. My only complaint is that the beef portion was pretty limited, and it's not a dish that leaves you feeling very full. (4/5) Fried Banana - This was a bit different. It was banana fried in a eggroll wrapper. It tasted good and was crispy though! (4.5/5) Overall, I'm glad I gave this place another chance, it's miles better under the new ownership. Definitely worth a try if you're craving Thai food in Arcadia.

Hollywood Noodle House is one of those rare spots where the food feels like it came straight out of someone's family kitchen instead of a restaurant line. You can literally taste the authenticity in every bite. Rumor has it there's a Thai grandma in the back running the show, and honestly... the flavors confirm it. The noodles are rich, comforting, and packed with that deep, soulful seasoning that only comes from real home cooking. Nothing feels watered down or "tourist-friendly." It's bold, fragrant, and unapologetically authentic. If you're craving Thai food that tastes like someone's grandma made it with love (and probably a little bit of secret magic), Hollywood Noodle House is the spot.

We have been here twice this month for lunch. The first time we got water & tableware quickly but the second time we had to wait a while. Nevertheless, the food was fresh & tasty. We have tried Prik King, Khao Soi with tofu, Yen Ta Fo, Rad Na & Fish Cake. We enjoyed every dish, but my favorite was Khao Soi, & the presentation was catchy. Lunch specials are available on the weekend, and for an additional $3, you get a Thai Tea which is not overly sweet. The space is simple, roomy & clean. It was relatively quiet (not busy) both times we ate there. Our server was polite & attentive. She never let Hubby's glass of water fall below halfway. If you can't find street parking out front, there is a parking lot in the back. This just might become our go to Thai restaurant.

Stopped by here to try their Thai food and was pleasantly surprised. The place had the vibe like you were dining at your Thai aunt's kitchen. Our server was busy wearing different hats all evening and was incredibly kind to all of his customers. He graciously gave us a complimentary Thai iced tea that was delicious! Although we stopped here for their pork jerky, it wasn't our favorite. We collectively felt it wasn't as crispy as we usually like but still enjoyed it. The crab fried rice was yummy with generous crab meat. My favorite was the Spicy Ka Prao Tofu dish and beef pad se ewe.

Nice gem of a Thai place. Super friendly service and the current owners kept the original owners menu plus added other new items like the LA Dine menu which is a nice deal for $25. I like this place because their prices are still pretty reasonable compared to some other places. Parking in the back available.

Pork Larb Salad

Really enjoyed my meal here. The ambience was clean, relaxed, and welcoming, making it a comfortable place to sit down and enjoy Thai food. We ordered the pork larb salad, papaya salad, chicken wings, and a curry soup. The pork larb was flavorful with a great balance of lime, herbs, and spice. The papaya salad was fresh and crunchy with the perfect sweet-sour kick. The chicken wings came out crispy and juicy, and the curry soup was rich, aromatic, and very comforting. Service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out at a good pace. Overall, a solid spot for Thai food with fresh flavors and a pleasant dining atmosphere. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes. :)

Was craving Thai food on a weekday evening, and came across Hollywood Noodle House on Yelp. I've actually driven by multiple times, but I don't think I've ever tried it out. They're located on Live Oak a few stores down from Savers. There's a small lot in the back for parking. We were actually the first customers of the night and the restaurant was empty when we got there, but more customers came after us, and there was a steady flow of people picking up their takeout orders while we dined in. We were able to talk to the owner, who told us that he had recently taken over and was revamping the menu and the interior dining room. He shared with us that while he's Chinese, his wife is Thai and the brains behind the recipes that they have on the menu. He threw in two drinks on the house, which was incredibly kind. The coffee was good, but I enjoyed the Thai tea more. Not too sweet, super refreshing! Thai papaya salad - $12.95, super refreshing and fulfilled my craving. Papaya was shredded with carrots, peanuts and green beans, and had a side of cabbage. The acidity was perfect, and not too sour. Tom Yum noodle soup - $15.95, came with the option of chicken or shrimp. There was a good amount of rice noodles and chicken, but not much in the soup itself. Loved the flavor of the tom yum but felt it was slightly on the pricier side. Yellow curry - $10.95 plus added protein of chicken $3.99. This came with a side of rice. The curry was not too spicy despite us ordering medium heat. Good amount of potatoes and carrots - flavor was strong and the dish itself was hearty. Overall, great new update to this Thai place! Owner was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back to try some more items!

We came for DineLA and the food was decent, but the food took awhile to come out even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. I was also disappointed that they didn't have the DineLA desserts that were listed on the menu.

I came to this place last night with my wife for dinela and we were caught by surprise. This small mom and pop place had some really good food. Not to mention the great service from the guy. The dinela food all being served at once was a nice twist also. I like eating all my food at once, so that works for me. I had the crying tiger, fish cake, thai donut and shrimp fried rice on the side. All the food was really delicious. The wait was around 15 minutes. So please give this place a try, because it's a new favorite for me.

Magda N.

Good deal buy one get one free on doordash. We got the pad thai this time. It's not bad. Portion is pretty big. Not a whole lot of chicken but it's bogo! Lots of item on the bogo offer so I'd definitely try another.

How does that buy 1 get 1 free thai tea text work? i clicked it, got the text, clicked that link, brought me to your yelp page, ordered 2 teas and was still charged for both

It's works for Dine in and Phone orders. Not online orders.

This is our family 2nd visit to Hollywood Noodle. The food is great the service is great. The price is good. We will comeback again and again. Would you like to try?

My favorite is tofu extreme, and Tom Yum Seafood.

You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab a quick bowl," and suddenly there's a noodle master stretching dough like he's training for the Olympics. Their Lanzhou-style noodles? Fresh, chewy, and honestly a little too good--they'll ruin instant ramen for you forever. The Lan noodle soup is so rich and savory. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. One wrong move and you'll be thinking about it halfway through your bowl like, "I should've gone wider."

They have a small and large sweet and sour chicken rice plate. I had gotten the small size just to try it out, but it was surprisingly good (5/5). The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. The dining room doesn't seat a lot of people so try not to come during busy dining hours on weekends to avoid a long wait.

Worried about dry noodles? Don't fret, as they truly pile on the sauce that is both tasty and addictive! Service was satisfactory. There wasn't much to do as we order our own food, but they give you your cutlery and a jug of water at the start so there wasn't a need to ask for anything anyway. The setup was okay. It felt a little cramped and waiting for the toilet while staring at a dirty trash bin wasn't the best start to the meal, but given the space it's understandable. I got the Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba and my wife got the Original Mazesoba. The original is great but I specifically wanted the seaweed and soft-boiled egg. After a fun mix, I took my first bite and did not stop stuffing myself until the last noodle strand was gone. Seriously, I don't know what they add to it that makes it so addicting but I could not stop eating it. I'm a fast eater usually but even my wife was surprised with my remaining half after her first 2 bites. The sauce would usually be too heavy, but the accompaniments allows the dish to balance itself. It was also not too dry, which is a common worry I have for mixed noodles. At the end of the meal they offer a complimentary rice to mix in with the sauce, though personally I would have preferred a broth as I didn't need the extra carb, but a light broth would have been a great finish. I can see this being a craving, so beware, try it at your own risk... but also run there now!

Everything was tender, aromatic, and clearly prepared with great care and attention to flavor and ingredients. Spice lovers will definitely be happy here, but even if you normally don't eat spicy food, you'll still find yourself going back for bite after bite. Overall, most of the dishes were solid. The only one I could have skipped was the chicken and potato dish...it just didn't stand out compared to everything else. I think this was the dish that we took leftovers since everyone else also felt a similar way regarding that dish. The skewers were well-cooked, but the cumin flavor was a bit overpowering for my taste, and it lingered longer than I would've liked. With that said, there were definitely some highlights. I really loved the shrimp fried rice and the beef dumplings, but my favorite was the wide noodle dish with mixed meats. It was incredibly flavorful and hit all the right notes.
