Came here for DineLA late on a weekend for dinner, no wait or crowd at all. I ordered the crab khao soi, which the waiter said was really good and his favorite. The dish came with a small side arugula salad and crab rangoons. Salad was quite small but a nice addition to the heavier food. The crab rangoons were surprisingly good as well! Not too oily and not too overfilled, the perfect side. Would definitely recomend the khao soi; the noodles were chewy, the soup was savory and rich, and the crab tasted freshly fried, super good. Dessert was also included with the dine LA menu. We chose a shaved ice which was just okay, but had little jellies inside which was fun. Would def come back for just the crab khao soi!
This was my first time here. We parked on the street and didn't have too much trouble finding parking. The restaurant itself was pretty roomy and had a decent amount of seating. We ordered the pad kee mao mild with pork and the Panang curry. The pad kee mao was lighter in color than what I'm used to, and flavor-wise, it was okay. It was more on the sweeter side, and the pork was a little dry. Nothing really stood out to me, but it wasn't bad either. The Panang curry tasted pretty good. It doesn't come with any protein as is, but it had a variety of different vegetables inside, which was nice. It also came with rice. The curry had good flavor, but it was thinner than what I'm used to. I personally prefer Panang curry to be a little thicker and creamier. The portions were decent, and pricing was pretty average for a Thai restaurant nowadays. Service was also decent. Nothing particularly stood out, but we didn't have any issues either. Overall, the food was okay. I liked the Panang curry more than the pad kee mao, but nothing really stood out enough that I would go out of my way to come back.
This place has good tasting food, the flavors are correct and sharp. I can't give this place a solid 5 as I am more picky with the texture of foods. For Khao soi, I prefer if the item is more wet noodle and soupy. The way it is here, their best item, is that it is partially deep fried and just enough broth to soak the noodles in, after a few minutes it becomes more of a pasta with a thick curry rather than a Khao soi I prefer (think ramen like). The panang Curry tasted good, I just prefer it a bit thicker. It does feel watery until you let it soak into the rice, just not my preference. The pad kee mao was tasty, I thought the texture and balance was just right. Overall, if I were to come again, I would get their flat rice noodle dishes. I have preferences with texture on thai dishes. Overall though, the taste and pricing is good, I cannot ding them that harshly for my preference, 4 stars!
Found this place through DineLA, $15 for an appetizer, entree & dessert, what a great deal! They also have $12.95 lunch specials. They have lots of indoor seating, friendly service & great food. I enjoyed the Chicken Satay and the Basil Ground Chicken with Fried Egg & the Sala Flavor Thai Shave Ice. My friend enjoyed the Fish Cake & The Spicy Glass Noodle Salad with Pork Sausage (Yum Moo Yor). They were able to accommodate non spicy & gluten free. We will definitely return to try more items on the menu. There's street parking in front & a small lot in the back.

Hollywood Noodle House in Arcadia is officially in my rotation and I wish I knew about it sooner! The Thai boat noodle is a hit - that dark, herbaceous broth (the kind that gets its depth from beef, spices, and a touch of blood broth) coats the noodles perfectly, with tender beef slices. Balanced and savory. Tom yum was delicious too - hot and sour, packed with mushrooms, tomato, and fresh cilantro, with that lemongrass tang that hits you first and lingers. Comes out steaming in its own pot, which makes it feel like an event. We got a side of fluffy white rice to go with it, which was a perfect pairing soaking up all that broth. But the real star was the mango sticky rice - hands down the best I've had, and I've had a lot in this area! The mango was so sweet and juicy, paired with sticky rice that had that perfect chewy-but-not-gummy texture, finished with a drizzle of coconut cream and crispy mung beans on top for crunch. Service was genuinely amazing - attentive without being overbearing, exactly what you want. Parking is available right out front, easy in and out. I'm coming back here, and I wish more people knew about this place!

This small restaurant serves comforting and incredibly delicious Thai food that deserves much more attention. Generous portions at very reasonable prices. Every dish is packed with bold, rich flavors that feel homemade and full of love. I was blown away by how flavorful and well-executed each one was. The Khao Soi was rich and comforting, the Beef Massaman Curry was deep and aromatic, and the House Fried Chicken, which is marinated overnight, was incredibly flavorful and crispy. We also tried the Prik King, Poh Tak Seafood Pot, and many other dishes that were just as impressive. Every plate showed the care and authenticity behind the food. Hollywood Noodle House delivers quality Thai cuisine and flavors that truly stand out from many other Thai restaurants. If you're in the SGV and love Thai food, this is definitely a spot worth supporting.
DineLA week enticed us to dine at the eatery. The special menu allowed us a taste of a variety of items other regular menu. The appetizer, the entree and dessert we chose were all delicious with fresh ingredients and an enjoyable spiciness. Service was amiable and efficient. The interior is clean, simple giving a relaxed ambiance especially with light jazz music playing off the speaker. Parking is available at the rear of the building and there is a sign indicating a back door entrance ( security screen & door) . I definitely will return to enjoy other starters and entrees o their regular menu.
The best Dine in LA lunch deal! For $15 per meal, we got to try three lunch sets, each including a starter, entree and dessert. Just a heads-up, dishes take about 20 minutes, so don't be in a rush. For starters, we tried the chicken satay, fish cake and gold bags. The fish cake was divine -one of the best I've had. The gold bags were a close second: beautifully wrapped pouches filled with chicken, shrimp, veggies, and not oily. We tried all three entrees, and everything was delicious. The mixed fruit salad is their unique take on papaya salad, loaded with dragonfruit, apples, oranges, rambutan and cashews. It was a little spicy for me, so being able to choose the spice level would be wonderful. I think this dish might work better as an appetizer than an entree in my opinion. The spicy glass noodles with pork sausage, cilantro, onions and ground chicken dish with fresh basil was packed with flavor. For dessert, we got to try both shaved ice flavors: cream soda and sala (Thai palm fruit). Loved the Jackfruit and Palm seeds hidden throughout the shaved ice. Overall, this mom-and-pop shop is a hidden gem for unique flavors and creative authentic Thai food you cannot find elsewhere in SGV. Clean space and friendly staff. They also have a regular lunch special menu, curries and other dishes we would love to try. Highly recommend!
Lovely neighborhood restaurant under new ownership but still a local family owned business! Friendly service, fresh ingredients, fair portion and very reasonable price. They have a huge space and is good for group lunch or parties, or maybe a school fundraiser event. The owners are super nice and wanted to give back to support the community.

Great experience at Hollywood Noodle House! I haven't been here in a long while, probably well over a year. I ordered the Hollywood Noodle Soup, you get to choose chicken or pork and I chose chicken. Medium spicy, with thin rice noodles. It was a delicious dish, and I completely finished my bowl and I'm happy and full! It was topped with two fried wonton skins, which added a delicious crunch. Also, great service. I'm happy to support this small business and would recommend you come and try it out! I will be back!
Hollywood Noodle House is one of the hidden gems in SGV. When you're craving Thai food, and don't feel like driving all the way to Thai Town in Hollywood, this is the best place to enjoy authentic Thai food! My favorites: -Spicy catfish -Fried wonton -Fish cake -Khao Soi -Pineapple fried rice -Crispy pork fried rice Their Khao Soi is one of the best. The owner is a native of Chiang Mai, and I'm so happy that she's cooking her family recipe of this classic Northern Thai noodle soup! The service is friendly. Street parking is available, and there's additional parking in the back as well.

I was in the mood for Thai food and picked this restaurant because I have never been here. Khao Soi is one of my favorite northern Thai dishes. My gf and I both ordered the same, and we ordered mango sticky rice as well, but they were out of ripe mangos. The employee told us that their selection of mangoes from their vendors wasn't great--the mango shortage this year probably had something to do with this. Mango sticky rice is something I always order when I get Thai food. The employee gave us a complimentary Thai coffee since the mangoes they did have weren't ready to be prepared yet. Food taste: 5/5 Order time: 5/5 Customer service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 I will be back again to try other dishes! read more

Been here several times over the years, but first time I noticed they participated in DineLA, so we took a short drive here. This review is based on one recent visit only since the owner told me they took over the business a year ago. The interior is spacious and clean. There's a small kiddy foosball table too. Classy lounge music doesn't really fit the Thai vibe is still nice. DineLA menu: We got tofu and vegetables, papaya salad with sticky rice and fried bananas. All were served in a single plate. Another item was Hollywood grilled chicken, chicken skewers, jasmine rice and fried bananas, also in a single plate. The chicken skewers were served with a dollop of peanut butter. One piece of tender, another was dry. The grilled chicken. He said it's chicken breast, but I got a leg quarter, served with a sweet & spicy sauce. Without it, the meat was bland. We also ordered Drunken Noodles (pad kee mao) with chicken. The menu was a bit misleading so the chicken was an extra charge. Other Thai places include some kind of protein. Unfortunately the chicken was dry and tough and the noodles didn't have that hot fire wok taste. The service was very friendly and personable. But for me, the food didn't wow me. I hope they do well because I'm always rooting for a family owned business. read more

We usually don't eat in this area. Chef's is across the street and taco treat is at end of block. But we were looking for Thai food and decided to try this place out. First off they have different menus if you dine in but the lunch special didn't offer what we wanted anyways so we ordered from their main menu. Ordered pad see ew with pork (there must be more Caucasian folks in this area they had to ask if we wanted American broccoli or Chinese broccoli even though it says Chinese broccoli on menu), crab fried rice, and yellow curry with chicken mild (which comes with one scoop of white rice on the menu it says served with rice it doesn't specify one small bowl of rice). They also stated that if we order mild for the curry that it would have a sweeter flavor. Back to the white rice.. I have never heard of a Thai place only offering one scoop of white rice for a yellow curry dish to go but I guess this place does. Luckily we ordered fried rice. The flavors are good but the question about the broccoli threw us off, and also the one scoop of rice. read more

Ordered Doordash and got the Beef Pad See Ew because they were having BOGO deal so it was only $29 including tips/taxes for 2 orders! The Pad See Ew was decent. There was a lot of beef and it was very tender. The vegetables were ok since it seemed to consist of a lot of broccoli stems instead of actual broccoli. The noodles were very flavorful and not too greasy. Overall, it was not bad but I probably wouldn't purchase it again at full price. read more
Redemption! I saw they were offering a DineLA menu, and since this location has changed ownership, I wanted to give them another shot after my disappointing experience last time. I'm glad I did. They've clearly cleaned up the place, dining in is now much more comfortable and noticeably cleaner. Service was solid as well. We were consistently checked on and asked how everything was. Overall, the food was good, especially for DineLA. From the menu, I tried the following: Fish Cake - Simple but tasty appetizer. Nothing fancy, but enjoyable. (4/5) Hollywood Wonton - Crispy, well-fried, and flavorful. Pretty good overall. (4/5) Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken & Grilled Prawn - Surprisingly delicious. Simple, comforting, and packed with flavor. Probably my favorite dish of the night. (4.5/5) Crying Tiger with Sticky Rice - Tasty and straightforward. My only complaint is that the beef portion was pretty limited, and it's not a dish that leaves you feeling very full. (4/5) Fried Banana - This was a bit different. It was banana fried in a eggroll wrapper. It tasted good and was crispy though! (4.5/5) Overall, I'm glad I gave this place another chance, it's miles better under the new ownership. Definitely worth a try if you're craving Thai food in Arcadia. read more
We have been here twice this month for lunch. The first time we got water & tableware quickly but the second time we had to wait a while. Nevertheless, the food was fresh & tasty. We have tried Prik King, Khao Soi with tofu, Yen Ta Fo, Rad Na & Fish Cake. We enjoyed every dish, but my favorite was Khao Soi, & the presentation was catchy. Lunch specials are available on the weekend, and for an additional $3, you get a Thai Tea which is not overly sweet. The space is simple, roomy & clean. It was relatively quiet (not busy) both times we ate there. Our server was polite & attentive. She never let Hubby's glass of water fall below halfway. If you can't find street parking out front, there is a parking lot in the back. This just might become our go to Thai restaurant. read more

Service was excellent as ever, always consistent. Never rushed and always caring. 10/10 Food was on point as ever, as I've been saying in my previous reviews, best boat noodle outside of Thai town. Very rich and flavorful broth, along with a decent serving of meats and garnishes. 9/10 The crunchy tofu is like any other deep fried tofu, it's a 7/10, good. Stopped by here to try their Thai food and was pleasantly surprised. The place had the vibe like you were dining at your Thai aunt's kitchen. Our server was busy wearing different hats all evening and was incredibly kind to all of his customers. He graciously gave us a complimentary Thai iced tea that was delicious! Although we stopped here for their pork jerky, it wasn't our favorite. We collectively felt it wasn't as crispy as we usually like but still enjoyed it. The crab fried rice was yummy with generous crab meat. My favorite was the Spicy Ka Prao Tofu dish and beef pad se ewe. read more

Was craving Thai food on a weekday evening, and came across Hollywood Noodle House on Yelp. I've actually driven by multiple times, but I don't think I've ever tried it out. They're located on Live Oak a few stores down from Savers. There's a small lot in the back for parking. We were actually the first customers of the night and the restaurant was empty when we got there, but more customers came after us, and there was a steady flow of people picking up their takeout orders while we dined in. We were able to talk to the owner, who told us that he had recently taken over and was revamping the menu and the interior dining room. He shared with us that while he's Chinese, his wife is Thai and the brains behind the recipes that they have on the menu. He threw in two drinks on the house, which was incredibly kind. The coffee was good, but I enjoyed the Thai tea more. Not too sweet, super refreshing! Thai papaya salad - $12.95, super refreshing and fulfilled my craving. Papaya was shredded with carrots, peanuts and green beans, and had a side of cabbage. The acidity was perfect, and not too sour. Tom Yum noodle soup - $15.95, came with the option of chicken or shrimp. There was a good amount of rice noodles and chicken, but not much in the soup itself. Loved the flavor of the tom yum but felt it was slightly on the pricier side. Yellow curry - $10.95 plus added protein of chicken $3.99. This came with a side of rice. The curry was not too spicy despite us ordering medium heat. Good amount of potatoes and carrots - flavor was strong and the dish itself was hearty. Overall, great new update to this Thai place! Hollywood Noodle House is one of those rare spots where the food feels like it came straight out of someone's family kitchen instead of a restaurant line. You can literally taste the authenticity in every bite. Rumor has it there's a Thai grandma in the back running the show, and honestly... the flavors confirm it. The noodles are rich, comforting, and packed with that deep, soulful seasoning that only comes from real home cooking. Nothing feels watered down or "tourist-friendly." It's bold, fragrant, and unapologetically authentic. TL;DR: Khao Soi was really good. Service is good but food took long to get due to being a small place probably. We were looking for Kelso because we are so into that right now found this place on yelp and people were saying how good it was so we had to try it location is tucked in a small strip mall and when we got here at 5:50 and we were the only ones here so a little apprehensive to go in Service was good and we got sat down with menus and waters immediately. Order the Khao Soi with chicken and also a spicy tofu dish with ground chicken and basil with a side of rice. Also got two Thai iced teas. The cow soy was really good even the presentation was kind of cool. They use some dry noodles to elevate some chopsticks to look like it was floating in air. The spicy tofu and chicken with basil was really good too, but it is almost like a Chinese dish. The food was good, but I would have to say the drawback is that the kitchen is pretty slow. The server many times had to say sorry the food is taking so long to multiple tables while we were there and had to apologize. Not his fault but thinking that this place is really small. Maybe the kitchen is not prepared to start cooking immediately. It has people enter. The food is good small little restaurant I would say kind of a mom and pop, but the speed of the food coming to you could be better. I would come back though. read more

We came for DineLA and the food was decent, but the food took awhile to come out even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. I was also disappointed that they didn't have the DineLA desserts that were listed on the menu. read more
I came to this place last night with my wife for dinela and we were caught by surprise. This small mom and pop place had some really good food. Not to mention the great service from the guy. The dinela food all being served at once was a nice twist also. I like eating all my food at once, so that works for me. I had the crying tiger, fish cake, thai donut and shrimp fried rice on the side. All the food was really delicious. The wait was around 15 minutes. So please give this place a try, because it's a new favorite for me. read more

Such a great find! This place was super convenient and close by, and I was craving Thai food--so the timing was perfect, especially since they were participating in DineLA Restaurant Week. The customer service was amazing, friendly, and on point from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious--full of flavor, generous portions, and very affordable for the quality and amount you get. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. A hidden gem in Arcadia! Went for a galentines dinner- they are currently offering a special menu that is available through April, as well as the Valentines special. Food was solid . Pad Thai was delicious and sweet, it'd be perfect with some more sourness to it with the addition of lime. Ka Prao was so good and spicy! I enjoyed the balance of the spice, texture, and the crunchy bell peppers. Crab rangoon was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The mango sticky rice here is the best I have ever tried!! Totally recommend!! The rice was served hot and the mango was sweet. We loved it so much! Service was top notch! I accidentally spilled water and the man serving us was so kind to offer us a new table. He was super sweet and accommodating. The space and ambiance was nice too. Parking is easy! Really enjoyed my meal here. The ambience was clean, relaxed, and welcoming, making it a comfortable place to sit down and enjoy Thai food. We ordered the pork larb salad, papaya salad, chicken wings, and a curry soup. The pork larb was flavorful with a great balance of lime, herbs, and spice. The papaya salad was fresh and crunchy with the perfect sweet-sour kick. The chicken wings came out crispy and juicy, and the curry soup was rich, aromatic, and very comforting. Service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out at a good pace. Overall, a solid spot for Thai food with fresh flavors and a pleasant dining atmosphere. My parents and sister had raved about this place and I wanted to try it myself, so they agreed to go with me again the following week! The owner was so nice, friendly, and welcoming. The restaurant is a good size and very clean. The food was absolutely amazing! We had no leftovers to take home. We left full and happy. They have Chiang Mai style food. Restaurants rarely have khao soi and I was so happy they did. Parking street in front or behind. Definitely looking forward to the next time I'll get to go back!
