I like the fried shallots, they give a lot of shallots.

Review is for hu tieu or house special noodle soup only. If you like Kim Kee/Ky, Sam's Noodle Station, or Mien Nghia style rice noodle soup, Macky's still got it in flavor and value. Complimentary hot tea is ALWAYS a plus. They give almost 2 pork kidney slices, 2 shrimps, 2 fishballs, 2 mixed meatballs, a whole lotta chicken, around 3 slices of pork, and a spoonful of ground pork. Their broth is pretty light at this location (really similar to the Kim Kee near Rosemead Blvd and Garvey Ave), but their ground pork (I suspect it's Taiwanese-style because it's a braised flavor) added a good savory flavor to balance the soup. It was very heartwarming for a cold night, tastes like childhood, and brings me a refreshed, satisfying breath ~ like finishing a bowl of pho. When they had the other location more north, I felt it was kind of pricey. At $12.99 right now, I think it's a great value for a variety noodle soup nowadays. Please go support this small business! I don't want to see it close. They also expanded their menu with more Taiwanese dishes to cater to the locals. I will be back for the tasting.

I was really bummed when the original Macky's closed because I loved getting their house special noodles whenever I felt under the weather. So I was so happy that they opened close by to their original location. Macky's Express now has an express food bar, but they only open until 3pm. For tonight's dinner, you know I had to get their house special noodle with egg noodles, my boyfriend got his favorite beef chow fun, and added a Yang Chow fried rice. Their house special noodle is still as good as ever. My BF liked their thicker chow fun noodles but we wished it had a little bit more beef. And the Yang Chow fried rice was pretty good as well. The service was friendly and the food came out quicker than before. We're just happy that we can have Macky's again!

I love Macky's Noodle House and was bummed to know their old location closed, but happily found that they relocated here! The restaurant is smaller but the food and service is still amazing. :) The owner is super sweet and always so friendly. Parking is available in the back as well as street parking in the front of the store. They also offer a To-go section with freshly prepared food. 1 item with rice and chow mein is 8.95 and 2 items I believe is around $10. Menu is more condensed but food quality is still the same. My go to is always their House Special Noodle Soup with either flat rice noodles or thick egg noodles and a side order or their pork kidney strips. :) Enjoy!!

Only recently found out Macky closed in Monrovia. And now they have a mini version in Arcadia. I love Chinese fast food/bentos. When I saw that they have fast food options, I came to give them a try. Earlier today I ordered popcorn chicken (I mean, c'mon) and orange chicken. The owner was very nice and friendly and gave me some green beans to try. I normally prefer the oily noodles over fried rice because they aren't as dry. But since this was my first time, I decided to try them both, which is how they're offered anyway. The noodles didn't have a strong flavor but I thought was still quite good. The lady compared their fried rice to sticky rice but to me it was a bit dry. But, it did have a good, not strong, flavor though. Popcorn chicken and green beans had a light flavor but still wasn't bad. Orange chicken had the strongest flavor in comparison although I've had better orange chicken elsewhere. All in all it was good. And it looks like their fast food options vary daily, so I'm down to return and support to try others.

Sesame oil kidney strips (麻油腰花)

老闆很熱情,菜色也很美味!他們家的午餐特價菜實在太好吃了,別錯過。我很喜歡鹽酥雞(配羅勒和炸蒜)和麻油豬腰花。 Owner was friendly and the food is tasty! They have a lunch special that is too good to pass. Enjoyed the popcorn chicken (came with basil and fried garlic) and sesame oil pork kidney strips.

Great food and great service. Limited indoor seating, and good prices. I really like the house special noodles. Parking - small lot behind or street parking

I was sad to see the previous location closed but happy to find that they just relocated. The noodles are the best, the broth is light and delicious. The menu is straight to the point, only the good stuff. They also have a hot-food section and the price is really affordable in comparison to other restaurants. I really love the pickled jalapeños; I love to pour some pickled jalapeño juice into the broth to give it some tang.

This restaurant is the combination of Macky's Noodle House and the old May's Cafe that used to be at this location years ago. It's clean, fast, friendly, and good bang for my buck. I will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes!

You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab a quick bowl," and suddenly there's a noodle master stretching dough like he's training for the Olympics. Their Lanzhou-style noodles? Fresh, chewy, and honestly a little too good--they'll ruin instant ramen for you forever. The Lan noodle soup is so rich and savory. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. One wrong move and you'll be thinking about it halfway through your bowl like, "I should've gone wider."

They have a small and large sweet and sour chicken rice plate. I had gotten the small size just to try it out, but it was surprisingly good (5/5). The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. The dining room doesn't seat a lot of people so try not to come during busy dining hours on weekends to avoid a long wait.

Noodle St - My fave Dan-Dan Noodle - they've changed the stringy spinach for a nice kale and I loved it so much better! (These are half-eaten sorry!!)

The food is good and tastes clean. We've pretty much ate everything on the menu like a TRUE fatty. We like the chicken wings app that has this nice curry with a hint of spicy rub and the side sauce gives this good balance of some kind of sweet chili ketchup? Our go to is the beef noodle or the short rib noodle (same same but different) and the tomato egg noodle. The tomato egg noodle gives the childhood nostalgia of the Chinese egg tomato dish that I'm sure majority of Chinese family makes for dinner. The noodles are def fresh every time. More recently we were adventurous and got the build your own stir fried noodles and yum. I highly recommend this chain.

If you've never been to a Noodle Street, this is where you can go to get a variety of comforting noodles (different types too - hand cut, standard round, triangle). We ordered the ramen, XLB, string beans, and tomato egg over rice. This is the only location where I've seen a ramen so I had to order. The ramen is hearty and savory, with a nice creamy broth. The XLB and string beans were good but standard. Essentially safe picks. The tomato egg is something we order at every location because it just hits the spot for us. Classy and nostalgic. Service is prompt and helpful. If you're looking for a quick delicious bite, add Noodle Street to your list!

Then we started trying new ones opened in the area and now often go to one at the mall for good ramen and conscience. I was craving for Okinawa soba so decided to come here without driving to South Bay. It's Friday around 1:30pm and the shop is relatively busy that only a couple of tables are available. We sat down and started looking at the menu - now a digital one with a tablet on every table. You can browse the menu on the tablet and put your order in on it. We ordered Okinawa soba and miso ramen. For $15 each, it seems like a decent price. We like the broths here. It's rich and deep without a layer of fat on top like most of the ramen shops. The noodles are firm with a nice bite to it. I especially like the Okinawa soba because it uses thicker noodles. The meat is tender and has a sweet flavor to it. If I had to nitpick, they don't have the Okinawa chili vinegar to go with the soba. It's a small shop. The walls are sprayed painted to look like a Japanese night time izakaya vibe. We will definitely come back more often.

Unfortunately, today made us realize the drive is no longer worth it. As we walked in, the owner (I assume) was so focused on his phone that he didn't greet us or acknowledge us at all. We had to approach him and ask where to sit because he didn't even look up. It felt unwelcoming and very different from how this place used to be. On top of that, the food just wasn't the same the flavor was lacking, and the overall experience didn't feel like the restaurant we've supported for years. It's disappointing to say, but this place has lost our business. Great customer service and consistent quality matter, and sadly both were missing today.
