Cute little mom and pop restaurant It's easy to drive by it, but we happen to find it on yelp. Don't drive too far since you can easily pass it. We did street parking in front of garden cafe It is yummy nice comfort food. Plenty of it when you get a large :) probably great for winter Nice people with only two people on the job It's nice to have when craving some familiar comfort food. I'll be back if I'm in the area

cute cozy place and the noodles were so thick and delicious! the bear iced Thai tea was too adorable. friendly people with polite service!

A cozy and homey casual noodle restaurant. They serve classic comfort food and have decent portions and good value. Simple menu and delicious food that is satisfying. The noodles came with lots of meat and was well seasoned. The interior is very clean and the staff are friendly. No credit cards under $25, but they take Venmo and Zelle.

Cute little noodle spot across from KFC on South Baldwin Ave. Only street parking, no parking in the back. The restaurant is clean, gets good lighting, clean, and has 6 tables. They have really cute bear thai ice milk tea with a small frozen bear on top. Our server was really friendly. Please be patient though as she was the only person serving the tables. I really enjoyed my HK beef stew. I would come back to try other items.

Large chicken pho (leftover)

Very hospitable and quick service. The inside is homey but not too cozy. This spot is an introvert's dream. Ordered a large chicken pho via fantuan for takeout. My take- having lived in SGV and tried almost every chicken pho.... this is genuinely the best chicken pho in town. I was entranced by the succulent chicken, delicious broth, and generous portion of noodles. They gave me a packet of hoisin sauce, chili vinegar, and ginger onion sauce. At home I squeezed my own sriracha to triple dip the chicken with the hoisin. It was so good I couldn't take a picture before I dived in. Attached are my leftovers after I got full

Pregnancy craving for that spicy sour Guilin noodles continue! haha! I had this place bookmarked for their hot and sour rice noodle soup. It wasn't exactly the Guilin style but it was good. The flavor I was craving was there and it did not disappoint. The noodles were definitely different from the Guilin style. The Thai tea was good and wasn't super sweet. I actually tasted the tea and that's rare! If you pay cash and your bill reaches a certain amount , you get your drink comped! They also provide 1 free refill on your drink. The chili oil chicken was okay. It tasted like the Taiwanese cold dishes but with chicken. I don't normally see a chicken option in most restaurants but they typically make this with tripe and pork. The restaurant is located on Baldwin. I'm not sure if they had a parking lot in the back but I parked on the street. It's a small restaurant and has about 6-8 tables.

Small restaurant serving a variety of noodles, some rice dishes, appetizers and drinks. Food is solid with a nice homemade, clean taste. You can receive two different drinks free based on your receipt total. Small parking lot in the back with street parking.

Grilled Pork and Rice. (To-go dinner)

We usually dine in but FiveFive is now doing a to-go dinner service(flier says Tuesday-Sunday), which is perfect for a Sunday evening when we want something good but don't want to cook or go out. We ordered the beef stew with rice and grilled pork and rice. Delicious as always. Also Added an ice lemon tea for $1.

This is a small family run restaurant with only half a dozen tables. Young mom waits on the tables while dad does the cooking inside the kitchen. It's a Saturday and an elementary age girl (around 4th grade) helped mom to clear the tables. The restaurant is clean and the food is delicious! They have the cutest ice bear Thai Tea and it comes with a refill (at the restaurant or take it to go)! We will definitely return and support this small business!!!

Too hungry and dug into the food before pic!

Stopped by on a Sunday morning to try out a new place and found this quaint little restaurant surprisingly delicious. When you step into the restaurant it feels like stepping into someones kitchen/ living room. Cartoons playing on the tv. Kids sitting at tables with their families enjoying a Sunday breakfast/brunch. It's a mom and pop and had a cozy feel about it. Got the fried chicken rice and wonton soup and they hit the spot. Rice was delicate and chicken fried lightly paired with some light broth. Staple comfort food including porridge and fried chinese donuts are always a go to. The restaurant even sent us home with their adorable Thai tea Bear drink. A cozy place to grab some casual eats. Yum!

A little hole in the wall, easily overlooked because it's on a busy street! Tried the house special noodles with all the fixings. t was delicious, the soup was clean and fresh. My aunt tried the chicken noodles, it was also very good, chicken was tender and moist. We also had their breakfast special, the soy sauce noodles were very good, it wasn't dry like other places. We really enjoyed it! We'll be back very soon since this is the closest place to us with viet/hk/chiu chow noodles!

Hot sour noodle soup

After a leisurely walk at the LA Arboretum, my friend and I were famished and in need of a cold drink and some yummy food. She suggested Fivefive because of the frozen bear drink. Turns out the food is also pretty good. My friend had the crabmeat tomato basil noodle soup and I had the five five hot and sour rice noodle soup. My friend didn't say too much about her soup except that it was pretty good, and she took the leftovers home. I enjoyed the hot and sour rice noodle soup (4/5). It was good and had strong flavors that made this soup so easy to eat. The soup is spicy but not overly so and it was definitely sour and had strong Chinese herbal taste that I loved. My friend was thrilled with her frozen Thai tea bear (4/5) and I ended up getting a Ume soda (4/5) (which was salted plum in soda water). I liked that our server suggested we take a glass of Thai tea to go with the bear. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is all white and very clean. The restaurant had a steady crowd so I think this is a popular little place to grab a bite. Parking is street. Due to construction on the sidewalk, it was a bit confusing where parking was ok and where it wasn't. But that should not deter anyone from checking out this cute little noodle cafe. I'll be back! LOCATION: 3/5 FOOD: 4/5 SERVICE: 4/5 VALUE: 4/5 AMBIANCE: 4/5 PET FRIENDLY: indoor dining only CLEANLINESS: 4/5 PARKING: street

House special noodle soup
Lauren B.

Quaint noodle shop with hearty noodle soups and kind employees. Perfect for brunch or when you need to satisfy your noodle cravings. I love ordering the house special noodle soup with half egg noodle half rice noodle to get the best of both worlds. We usually park on the street and sometimes have to walk for a minute or two if all of the spots are taken (which they sometimes are, because Garden Cafe is next door and gets busy around brunch time too). Overall, a tasty noodle spot with flavors that remind me of home. I recommend giving it a shot if you haven't already!

You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab a quick bowl," and suddenly there's a noodle master stretching dough like he's training for the Olympics. Their Lanzhou-style noodles? Fresh, chewy, and honestly a little too good--they'll ruin instant ramen for you forever. The Lan noodle soup is so rich and savory. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. They have a small and large sweet and sour chicken rice plate. I had gotten the small size just to try it out, but it was surprisingly good (5/5). The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. The dining room doesn't seat a lot of people so try not to come during busy dining hours on weekends to avoid a long wait.

The duck is around $28 for the whole duck, which is amazing in this economy. It's a small store so seating is limited. I've never personally dined in and always ordered takeout. And the boss lady that runs the front of the house? She is cool, sassy and a multi-tasking queen. You can tell she puts heart and pride into serving the customers and food. The skewers were well-cooked, but the cumin flavor was a bit overpowering for my taste, and it lingered longer than I would've liked. With that said, there were definitely some highlights. I really loved the shrimp fried rice and the beef dumplings, but my favorite was the wide noodle dish with mixed meats. It was incredibly flavorful and hit all the right notes.
