I ordered the signatures summer noodle salads and the crispy pancakes with beef This is a small, casual spot with only two or three tables, so it seem like most customers order takeout. The cold noodles tasted pretty good, with a nice sesame flavor and the portions were quite generous. The crispy pancakes with beef were also tasty and satisfying. Overall, it's a simple little place with good food and friendly service. A nice option if you're craving quick and casual xian style snacks.

When I heard that this place made handmade liang pi, I just knew I had to try it. Mama Noodle is within the Duke Bakery on Duarte Rd, and you can see those fresh noodles on display when you walk in. I ordered their Summer Noodles which are supposed to be spicy, sour, nutty, and refreshing. Like the description says, I got all those flavors when I slurped up a noodle. Their noodles have this nice chew to it that is almost addicting. I had a hard time putting this dish down honestly. I would definitely come back again to try their Flower noodles and beef noodles!

My experience with Mama Noodle was a bit of a rollercoaster. I initially tried to order through an app, but my order was rejected. When I decided to go in person, I was told they were busy with a large order and had to wait about 30 minutes. I returned at 11 am and was finally able to place my order for the Signature Summer Noodle Salad and the Crispy Pancake with Braised Pork. Despite the rocky start, the food was worth the wait. The Signature Summer Noodle Salad had excellent flavor and felt incredibly refreshing--a true summer dish. The Crispy Pancake with Braised Pork was also pretty good; however, I thought the filling was too little. Overall, the food is good, that's what really matters. I will definitely buy them again.

Food: - liang pi (glutinous cold noodles): 8.5/10, very authentic sauce, nutty and salty - rou jia mo (Chinese chopped meat hamburger): 9.5/10, better than the other ones I've had in restaurants nearby, meat filling is super flavorful - summer price special $9.99 per dish! Service: - friendly staff - fast service - they make the dish when you order so the rice noodle does not stick together Ambiance: - spacious parking lot - booth seats and tables available - shares the same space as Duke bakery

My aunt and I were buying bread at Dukes bakery and wanted to try Mama Noodles for dinner. The chef, Shawn, was super friendly and patient as we decided on what to get. My aunt ordered their Signature Summer Noodle Salad and I ordered their Beef Marinated Cold Noodles. Their signature noodles is called Liangpi (凉皮), or "cold skin noodles". It's a popular, refreshing Chinese dish from the Shaanxi Province, known for its wide, chewy, and slippery noodles made from wheat or rice starch. Mama noodles are served cold with their delicious dressing of chili oil, black vinegar, garlic, and sesame paste, along with toppings like shredded cucumber, bean sprouts, and cilantro. It was super flavorful and great on this Hot LA summer day. We will definitely be back to try their other items. Please support this small place and give them a try... great service and excellent food!

Cute place, share room with Duke Bakery now. No big sign outside, and I really don't like this parking lot... But! I like the noodle salad! It's just good amount and with a lot of sauce (I love extra sauce), and after put all sauce in the noodle will suck the juice in and make this dish more flavorful. I also ordered the crispy pork burger but I got a different feel as I have tried before, not what I wanted but hard to say I don't like it. Well, I'll try something else next time!

Are you kidding me???? God! Look what I ve found! 卷凉皮 in LA! That's crazy! This is not just regular Liang Pi but the best way to enjoy it like a burrito. With full of veggies inside and wrapped with wheat starch. Located inside Duke bakery. Parking spaces are available in the plaza. Server is so friendly and helpful with the order. I'll definitely come back for more soon again.

Generous amount of food and souces.

You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab a quick bowl," and suddenly there's a noodle master stretching dough like he's training for the Olympics. Their Lanzhou-style noodles? Fresh, chewy, and honestly a little too good--they'll ruin instant ramen for you forever. The Lan noodle soup is so rich and savory. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. One wrong move and you'll be thinking about it halfway through your bowl like, "I should've gone wider."

They have a small and large sweet and sour chicken rice plate. I had gotten the small size just to try it out, but it was surprisingly good (5/5). The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. The dining room doesn't seat a lot of people so try not to come during busy dining hours on weekends to avoid a long wait.

I ordered the Deluxe Mazesoba, which comes with chashu and a hard-boiled egg. I really liked the deluxe version because it felt more filling and had a good amount of protein from the minced pork, chashu, and poached egg. The bowl had a lot of flavor, and I ended up finishing the whole thing, so I didn't even get a chance to try the free scoop of rice at the end. The mazesoba was a bit on the salty side, but it wasn't something that bothered me. The seaweed and fish powder added extra depth and helped give the bowl more variety, while the green onions added a nice texture and freshness. I came on a Wednesday night and didn't have to wait at all, which was a plus. Overall, I enjoyed my first mazesoba experience here and could definitely see myself coming back whenever I'm in the area.

We walked into a casual ramen shop atmosphere, the kind of place that works well for a quick and satisfying meal rather than a long dining experience. The space is functional and focused, with a menu centered around different variations of mazesoba along with a few sides and drinks. The main reason to visit is the mazesoba, and it delivers a completely different experience from typical ramen. The noodles have a chewy texture and are meant to be mixed thoroughly with the toppings, sauce, and egg yolk to bring everything together. We tried the Nagoya-style combination of spicy minced pork, green onions, seaweed, garlic, and other toppings, and found the bowl rich and layered, with each bite getting better as everything blended together. The deluxe versions add more toppings and make the dish feel more complete, while the spice level can be adjusted depending on how much heat you prefer. The richness of the sauce and toppings is balanced by the brightness of the egg yolk and the crunch of the onions, keeping the dish from feeling one-dimensional. The restaurant also offers options like takoyaki and matcha drinks, which add variety to the meal. The matcha latte is a nice contrast to the heavier noodle dishes, while the sides work well for sharing or adding something extra to the table. Since mazesoba is naturally a heavier dish, the balance of toppings and textures helps keep the meal from feeling too rich, and the sides offer a lighter counterpoint. Service is quick and the experience moves efficiently, which fits the casual style of the restaurant. Menya Hanabi can get crowded during busy hours, and waits are possible, but the focused menu and flavorful bowls make it worth adding to a noodle rotation. It is a great spot if you want to try something different from traditional ramen, delivering a meal that feels both intentional and satisfying, with a concept that is simple but executed in a way that makes the noodles stand out.
