    Hot pepper chicken (D14)

Truly one of the best Chinese restaurants in LA. Food is incredibly flavorful with very fresh ingredients and you can taste the difference, all the dishes shine! Dishes come out very fast and piping hot. Also very kind and friendly staff. Top notch food and experience, 10/10. Will definitely be coming back!

Opened decently late if you want dinner after the regular dinner rush. Lots of parking in the plaza it's located at and there's a decent amount of seating inside. Small restaurant but we were accommodated. My boyfriend spoke with the worker in Mandarin the entire time but apparently she was worried that we didn't order any veggies, but laughed when he pointed out that we ordered the pickled veggies. I guess that count! For our dinner we got the: cumin pork knuckle (boyfriend and my friend really liked this and I liked whatever bites I can get out of it since I love cumin seasoned meats, but the actual cut of meat is not my favorite since I'm a baby who doesn't like chewiness or bones, but everyone else really liked it), hot pepper chicken, and the spicy sauerkraut (our pickled veggies, nice hit of sour taste to go with the spiciness of the chicken and the cumin of the pork). This was the first restaurant that I've ever had hot pepper chicken from and visually it's a bit scary to those who are weak to spice, crispy fried chicken nuggets covered in dried chopped chilis, but it's SO GOOD. The sharp, instant kick from the spiciness is addicting and goes great with a bowl of rice. After getting it here, it made me go get the same dish from other establishments but it's just not the same. Great restaurant and definitely support this mom and pop shop!

Never knew this place existed until I saw it on yelp, and glad we decided to stop by. This is one of those mom and pop places. The inside is very small, only like 5 tables. Price is very affordable and portions are generous and delicious. We enjoyed everything we got, but the main star was the hot pepper chicken which I highly recommend. Lady working (guessing owner) is very nice but seems super busy running around. My mom dropped one of her chopsticks and before she could even ask for a new one, one of the guys working there already brought her a new set. That's what I call good service.

I just realized I was 'First to Review' Lin's Club years ago, so here's a long overdue update. I don't quite remember what they served in the beginning, but I'm very satisfied with everything they have now. I've also developed a new appreciation for smaller family owned businesses, and found that these places often have better food, better service and much better customer interaction. The owner here is so personable that I feel like I'm at auntie's house. If I order several dishes that are too similar, she'll suggest something else to have a wider range of flavors. That's thinking for her customers. I love spicy food, and Lin's Club is near the top of my go-to list. Their hot pepper chicken is one of the best, full of flavor and not scorching hot. The cumin beef, smoked tea duck, dan dan mein, spicy beef pot and many more are all so good. If you have a tolerance and love for Szechuan spicy food, Lin's Club needs to be in your list. The inside is small, as in one of the smallest restaurants I've ever been to, and service can be slow if they get a little busy, but the great flavor is there. So be patient, open minded, hungry and polite and you'll have a great experience. Though they take credit cards, please try to use cash because the banking systems takes a % out of the total.

I ordered from Uber Eats and was amazed at how delicious the food was. The flavors were bold, a bit spicy, but oh so good. The packaging was sturdy and well-foiled, and everything was still hot by the time it arrived. Cumin Beef - Super flavorful, slightly spicy, and cooked to perfection. Really tasty. (5/5) Mapo Tofu Combo - We had this with noodles, and the noodles were well-flavored. It arrived piping hot, and I would definitely get it again. The Mapo Tofu had a nice peppercorn taste, and I really enjoyed it overall. Can't go wrong. (4.5/5) I'll definitely need to go in person next time!

Very small spot. About 5 tables. There is a language barrier but it was ok. I was craving some beef noodle soup. I searched on google and Yelp and this spot popped up in the searches. I got the house special beef noodle soup and it was not what I was expecting. Broth was just very tasteless. Noodles however was really good. The beef was good but very thin. The Pepper spicy chicken was amazing. Such huge portions. I will definitely come back to try the spicy beef noodle soup and the chicken but will definitely pass on the house special noodle soup.

I ordered takeout here and it was really homey Chinese food. I got the hot pepper chicken which was really crispy and light, but a little too spicy for me. Also we got the hot and sour soup, shrimp fried rice, and kung pao chicken. Would definitely come back for large portions and affordable prices.

First time trying out Lin's Club in Monrovia and it feels like a great place for Sichuan-style home cooking. The restaurant is pretty small and cozy, but the menu has a lot of interesting dishes if you're into authentic flavors. We ordered a few things to try: * Spicy fried chicken nuggets - Definitely recommend this one! The chicken was tender, with a nice kick of spice but still very flavorful. * Spicy pig's ear in chili oil - Pretty authentic taste-wise, though the cuts were a little too thick for my liking. Still enjoyable if you're into that dish. * Twice pan-fried pork belly - This one wasn't our favorite. Not much flavor and just didn't stand out. What makes the place even better is the owner - super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience felt like dining at a friend's home.

Boss at the front definitely has her rough edges but she means well and will get you right. None of their prices and portions are unreasonable, too. Honestly, all of their dishes are great and you can't really go wrong with any of them. I particularly appreciate that you're able to get a side of rice for just a dollar to balance out the side dishes. For anyone new, their laziji (hot pepper chicken, I believe) is incredible and a must-try

a very small & casual Chinese restaurant. We decided to give it a try By getting 4 dishes off their house special on the menu. Shreded pork w/ garlic sauce ( the tastiest dish out of all four but it was standard chinese " sweet noodle sauce " taste, there wasn't any garlic taste) Mapo tofu ( tons of spicy pepper oil but not much flavor, bland) beef with black pepper sauce ( kinda bland taste wise, the look of very blackened beef was kinda weird.) Hot pepper chicken ( seems like everyone liked this on yelp but it was just un-marinated chicken, battered & fried with tons of spicy red pepper bits) We were not impressed with any of the dishes. service was ok, the way the waitress was talking was interesting ( not professional yet not in a rude sense). Last but Not least, some pros: very generous amount. reasonable prices (13 dollars ish each dish) I personally would skip this one. Choose wisely people ;)

This small unassuming restaurant that far away from most of the food scene that I'm used to, is one of my top 5 restaurants on my list. I first came here for the tea smoked duck because I saw that the price looked great and i had never had tea smoked duck before. Since then I've been here several times because everything I've had here has delivered in both taste and quality and I can't wait to come back here to try more! Tea smoked duck (5/5): there's so much duck for how much it costs and everything about it is amazing. The tea smoke is very prominent and it makes itself known in a good way. Breast meat is good, thigh meat is good and tastes great the next day too! Beef dry pot (5/5): there's a perfect blend of spices that this mix of veggies and beef get cooked into and what's nice is that it's really not as oily as other dry pots that I've had at other places. My favorite part about this dry pot is actually the cauliflower & potato and would consider getting the cauliflower dry pot over the beef next time. Hot pepper chicken (5/5): I'm usually not a fan of this dish because of so many reasons. Sometimes there's too many peppers and too little chicken. Sometimes the chicken is more bone than chicken. I decided to give Lin's club version a chance because the pictures on Yelp looked like it was a lot of chicken and when I got it, it was completely different than what I was used to. There was SO much chicken and it was all boneless and it was seasoned so well too. The owners of the place are very kind, but they are also so busy with making all of their online orders so please be patient with them. Everything is made fresh and could take a bit longer than what you are used to, but it's worth the wait!

Mom and pop type operation / small cafe located in a strip mall in Monrovia. They serve up some really delicious, fresh Chinese food at very reasonable prices. What I also love about this place is that it's also open relatively on the later side for this area (seriously...lots of places in this area seem to close early). This is perfect for even stopping by and ordering take out if you are leaving work a little later on the way home. The portions are great if you want to order for family style meals (dining in or take out) or if you just want to order a couple of items that will last a few meals as a solo diner. The folks here are very kind and helpful. This place first popped up on my radar a while back because of the high reviews when I was looking for dinner in the area after work. After eating ordering and eating the food from here, I can see why. I came in about 30 min before closing on a weeknight and ordered mapo tofu and sauteed eggplant along with an order of rice. I ordered to go because I didn't want them to wait around since they were closing soon. This lasted me about 2-3 meals and both dishes were very tasty. Would love to come back and order one of their noodle dishes or just more items from the menu in general. Such a great gem. Parking was really easy as well as the lot is pretty large and at the time, most surrounding businesses were closed.

A super tiny little place with some very good Sichuan food. I ordered the Hot Pepper Chicken (La Zi Ji) and the Cumin Lamb and asked for more 'mala' for both dishes. The food came out relatively fast. The portions were very generous. But, the Hot Pepper Chicken was ridiculously ginormous. I've had this dish at many other places and the flavor was great. There was significantly more chicken that I've had elsewhere. And the prices were really reasonable compared to most Sichuan restaurants in the SGV (or SoCal) area. This is my new go to La Zi Ji place in the SGV.

It feels lively without being overly loud, making it perfect for both group gatherings and casual dinners. Our favorite dishes included: * Jianghu Chili Chicken 江湖辣子鸡 - Extremely spicy and packed with flavor. The lotus root added a nice crunch. * Spicy Stir Fried Clams 辣炒蛤蜊 - Fresh, flavorful, and one of the first dishes we finished. * Sherred Potato 麻辣土豆丝 - Tangy, spicy, and very addictive. * Hand Shredded Cabbage 手撕包菜 - Simple but executed perfectly with great wok flavor. * Chicken Cartilage Skewers 鸡脆骨串 - Nicely grilled and not overly tough. * Sausage Skewer 王中王串 - Classic and satisfying. * Spicy Crawfish 麻辣小龙虾 - Fresh crawfish with plenty of flavor. One thing worth mentioning is the spice level. My husband is a huge fan of spicy food and has tried many Sichuan restaurants throughout Los Angeles. He said this was one of the spiciest places he has visited so far. The biggest surprise was the value. We ordered all of these dishes for under $100 and had enough leftovers to enjoy for two more days. We'll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Sichuan cuisine in the San Gabriel Valley.

I liked the crunchy texture of the bread for the Chinese burger. It's on the spicier side. The braised beef noodle soup and sautéed vegetables were my favorite. The xiao long bao wasn't soupy but the dipping sauce they give is very good. Staff is very nice. There are quite a few tables for indoor seating.

I am in LOVE. Never did I ever imagine I would love a hot pot place as much as I do here. Usually…read moreI'm a big proponent of making hot pot at home - but YGF is truly a very delicious experience. I got the tomato broth and loved it! I love all the sauces that they have and appreciate the satay sauce, black vinegar, and sesame sauce. If you order a rice, they really pile it on which is so nice of them! They have a stamp card if you want to be a regular. It's so packed on the weekends during mealtimes. I wish they had more restrooms though because the line can get long.

After entering you get a bowl and place items you want in your soup in it to get weighed. The noodles are all dispersed on top of the counter and in the middle. It's not really organize sequentially. Anyway after weighing you get told a table to sit at and then wait there. They give you lemon water automatically and the tomato broth is vegetarian. Compared to other Malatang spots, I'd say their ingredients don't seem as fresh but they have a good variety and a stamp card which is nice. Every 10 lb is a free lb. Sauce bar is good so somewhere I would go back to. Seating area is clean too.

My sisters-in-law who live in the area highly recommended this spot when we were deciding on a Sunday dinner the night before we flew out. Among the four of us, we ordered: - Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) - Biang Biang Noodles: least numbing of the noodle dishes we ordered. If you LOVE carbs and not a lot of sauce, this one's for you! - Dandan noodles: this thin noodle dish is slightly more numbing than the Biang Biang noodles, but still bearable and tasty. - Chongqing Special Noodles: most numbing of the three! I had to pause eating this a few times as it was getting a little uncomfy! The noodles are side but thinner than the Biang Biang noodles. I liked that we ordered noodle dishes each with different noodle types, flavors, and spice levels. The Biang Biang noodles were respite from the Chongqing Special Noodles, while the Dandan noodles had the right amount of peanut flavor and "mala." We arrived 45 minutes before closing on a Sunday night (it was a holiday the next day though). We were surprised that there was still a line of people wait in for seats close to closing time! Thinking we weren't going to be seated, we decided to order for takeout. We ended up being the last party to be seated! The staff was kind to transfer our takeout orders as dine-in dishes! The staff had the right amount of customer service and attentiveness for a Chinese restaurant, if you know what I mean haha. For amazing noodle dishes, comfortable seating, and accommodating service, Chong Qing Special Noodles gets a solid five star rating!

At the same time, since it's in the SGV, there are lots of restaurants that are similar and can produce the same food at the same level. Noodles were nutty, filling, and spicy. The only thing I didn't really like were the Chong Qing dumplings. They were a little too thin with too little meat I also couldn't handle the spice but that's on me haha! Staffs were very friendly (sometimes hard to find in restaurants like this)! Someone walked around several times to refill water, in which I desperately needed and appreciated lol
