The frozen dumplings are great and great for that weekday meal where you don't want to cook. I can see where some people complain about the service. But this is not the spot you go for that. It's essentially a fast food spot with higher quality. The beef noodle soup can bang with the best in the area. Arcadia is still blessed with Taiwanese gems and this is one of them. A hole-in-the-wall, esoteric shop in the midst of an unassuming Arcadia plaza (the infamous "Yogurtland plaza"). Although not the first place you would think to go to for a fancy sit-down meal, the quality of the food and friendliness of the service more than makes up for the modest ambience. My favorite dish of the night was the fried porkchop rice, which had the flavor, texture (still very crispy!) and depth of umami comparable to anything I had in Taiwan. Even ordering at the store, the wait for your food usually takes about 15 minutes. I recommend calling before the 11:30 lunch rush!! I really like their special lunch boxes! The smoked chicken comes in a generous portion, I usually can split it for two meals. Their beef shank is also very tasty and comes with a yummy savory sauce. I also really like their sesame chicken thin noodles - so good on cold winter days!! They also have cold side dishes available in a fridge right by the door and frozen dumplings which are really good if you're too lazy to go out and get food. I will say the spicy mixed dry noodle had a lot of flavor, however a little too salty for my taste. If I were to eat at an Asian restaurant I would rather just go nextdoor. The place is also pretty small and cramped. The service is great tho, the ladies are super sweet and don't worry if you don't speak Chinese. Total came to about 23 with tip so not too bad. The dan dan mien is delicious! Has all the proper flavors packed in with a little kick of garlic. It comes in spicy and nonspicy...next time spicy is on my must try list. The tomato meat noodle is juicy and tasty as well but doesnt beat the dan dan mien.
