I loved both the dishes we got - the wife's noodle and hand pulled house special. The wife's noodle's beef was super tender. Our favorite though was the hand pulled. It is on the oily side which many have mentioned but the pickled bamboo helps cut through that and is very needed.

The dry-fried green beans were probably the most dry-fried green beans I've ever had LOL. I loved the blistered, almost charred texture, and they were really flavorful. The wife special noodle was good as well. It reminded me of a cross between tomato egg noodles and dry beef noodles. I really liked the doughy, dense texture of the noodles, although the egg was pretty salty and the beef was a little tough. Overall, it was a solid meal and I'm glad I stopped by, especially after seeing it on the Michelin Guide. That said, the noodles weren't quite as mind-blowing as I expected based on the hype. Still worth a try if you're in the Arcadia area!

So happy to see more Xi'an food popping up around SGV, especially when it's done this well. As…read moresomeone born and raised in Xi'an, the flavors here felt genuinely authentic, and I already know I'll be back. We ordered the Youpo Noodles with Beef Brisket, Marinated Beef Sandwich, and Cumin Lamb Sandwich. The marinated beef sandwich was the standout. They absolutely nailed the execution, from the tender, flavorful meat to the texture of the bread. I would come back for this alone. It immediately took me back to eating rou jia mo from a street cart while walking around Xi'an, which is about the highest compliment I can give it. The noodles were freshly handmade, wonderfully springy, and completely soaked with flavor. The beef brisket made them even more satisfying. The cumin lamb sandwich was the only item I felt slightly on the fence about. The filling was good, but I personally wanted a little more seasoning and a stronger cumin flavor. The interior is spacious and clean, service was fast and painless, and there is plenty of parking in the lot. Such a great addition to Arcadia and easily one of the better Xi'an spots I've tried in the area.

XiAn Foodie 李老三 serves food that is not only delicious, but authentic and full of soul. The handmade noodles were impressive. perfectly chewy and springy, soaking up the rich sauce. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying! The lamb skewers, beef skewers, beef shank noodles, lamb & carrot dumplings, and oil-splashed noodles are all highly recommended. Everything was tender, aromatic, and clearly prepared with great care and attention to flavor and ingredients. Spice lovers will definitely be happy here, but even if you normally don't eat spicy food, you'll still find yourself going back for bite after bite. The restaurant itself is simple yet elegant, clean, and comfortable, with the warm feeling of a beloved local spot. The service is friendly, and the food comes out quickly, creating a relaxed and welcoming dining experience. Especially after a long day, having a hot bowl of their oil-splashed noodles feels genuinely comforting. If you enjoy unique Xi'an cuisine, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You can taste that the flavors have not been overly adjusted just to appeal to the masses. Instead, the restaurant preserves the authentic spirit, warmth, and bold flavors of traditional Xi'an cooking.

This place has some items that are amazing and other ones that you can just do without…read more I came here for Dine La for lunch and here's what I felt about their menu. First off, the takoyaki octopus balls were full of flavor. I feel that this place does them really well. You don't feel overwhelmed by any seafood tastes and instead, you get well balanced flavor throughout every bite with the combination of the ball itself, the sauces and the flakes on top. Next is the omurice. The egg is cooked to perfection and tastes absolutely amazing. The curry, however, which was recommended by the waiter over the Demi glaze, tasted exactly like the Vermont curry cube you get in the grocery store, so I'm not sure why he recommended that over the Demi glaze. The fried rice within the omurice was alright too. Originally, I wanted to get the tonkatsu omurice but got it on the side as the choice wasn't available for the lunch menu. I would suggest doing without the tonkatsu because it was dry and there's a million and one places that can do tonkatsu better than this place. Honestly, I wish I had the opportunity to cut the omurice myself and choose how much curry I put on it, but the staff did that instead, which I guess made for a good video, but took away from my innate desires to cut the egg on my own haha. Next, the ramen tasted pretty basic like what you could get at any ramen shop. For the chicken wings, I've never had chicken wings in this flavor. They were really really good and I would definitely recommend the wings. For the desserts, I enjoyed both the matcha and the snow globe. I'm not sure what I enjoyed more, however. The snow globe is a gelatin and it doesn't really have too much flavor until you get to the parts with the flower. Plus the little clear balls have a nice flavor and texture. For the matcha, it has an interesting texture and then an interestingly light, yet deep matcha flavor. Oh the drinks. The Thai tea tastes exactly like how it does everywhere else. The amazing lemonade is a lemonade with a few slight modifications, like with cucumber and maybe some other things as well. For the service, it's pretty good here. Everyone is pretty attentive. There are three things at the table, such as cayenne pepper and two other bowls you can add to your dishes to add flavor. I forgot the name of the one I liked but it looked kind of like pork floss or loose tea, and that one had a lot of flavor. I think what's most appealing about this place is the ambiance because you can like sit in a honeycomb, there's fancy designs everywhere and you feel like you're in a different place. I think it's a good restaurant but it's kind of weird how some things here are amazing and some are just okay.

Who would've guessed that the BEST Beef Noodle Soup would have been in the middle of Arcadia. The BEST. And the pork & shrimp dumplings some of the BEST we've had in SF and LA top spots. The cold jelly dish (mung bean) is AMAZING. Who knew such a small unassuming mom and pop shop could rival some of the Michelin spots we've ventured to. But honestly, most food that's made like your Mama made it is obviously gonna be better than any restaurant you ever go to. This is like they just happened to have a restaurant in their home. The food came out almost immediately, that broth had been cooking to perfection for who knows how long. Every bite of every dish was PER-FEC-TION. Just WOW. Thank you Auntie!!

When the tomato egg noodle arrived, I was surprised by how little the sauce was compared to the amount of noodles, probably 2 tablespoons of sauce on top of the noodles and a few shredded cucumber. The cold jelly, according to the pictures, supposed to have some shredded bean curd and beans on top but again there was a few shredded cucumber on top of it and that was it. So I ask the server why the food looks different from the picture and she just answered "That's just how it is". Based on the amount of food we got, everything was overpriced. From my understanding this place was Michelin rated in 2021, I'm not sure how they got it, but quality definitely was not like that when they were rated. While I was paying, I saw the worker took out some frozen meat and placed them on the floor. - I mean are you serious ? ? I don't usually leave for reviews, but what they did really made me concerned about the food safety there and I want people to know. I'm sorry, but I don't think I will come back.

This is coming from someone who has a very low spicy tolerance. Noodles are as cheap as $11 straight up with no tax charged. They're mainly a cash business but also accept Zelle. What's so special about their noodles? Let me tell you, they are very special. Simple soup bowls with rice noodles that don't stick together, topped with good portions of protein choice primarily beef flank, braised pork, pork intestine, pork trotter (aka pig's feet), crispy pork, or chicken gizzard, plus roasted peanuts and your condiments of choice. I chose #3 Braised Pork Rice Noodle and #9 Crispy Pork Rice Noodles Signature to-go. OMG, I was super surprised by the soup savoriness and flavorfulness. SO GOOD! The noodles were a generous amount and you can slurp them very easily. Pork portion and size were more than adequate. VERY TASTY! The roasted peanuts were great tasting... it brought back some nostalgia... nice addition to the bowl! They have a condiment station (red hot chili, hot chili oil, spicy pickled daikon, spicy pickled cabbage, spicy green onions, green onions, cilantro) where you can get as much as you would like for your bowl. Do you see a trend? Lots of spicy condiments! Staff ladies were really friendly and nice. They didn't speak much English. I just pointed to the items I wanted. Prices were very reasonable... $11 - $15 per bowl. Payment options are cash or Zelle only. Funny, I didn't have enough cash on me so I left to go to the bank to get cash. They didn't start making my order until I returned. It wasn't an issue because it literally took them a few minutes to make the bowls. Wait time was nothing. Restaurant front was clean. Shared seating is available inside the President Square Food Court. Free parking at the President Square in Arcadia. Highly recommend Mojie Noodle! #1 Guilin Style Rice Noodles is their top seller. Too bad I don't eat beef anymore otherwise I would get it. I hope they add fish to their bowls in the future. I'll be back to dine-in for more tasty rice noodle bowls even if I stick with pork or I might even try their chicken gizzards.
