I tired the cold noodles and sesame noodles, both of which tasted very Taiwanese and authentic, instantly transporting me back to Taiwan. The braised dishes were also very authentic which I really liked. Their chive and shrimp dumplings had thin wrappers and the filling didn't break during cooking Pefect. Their chive restaurants isn't big, but it's clean, the service is excellent, and parking is easy.

Cabbage and pork dumplings. Not great for me

We are from NorCal and was driving to SoCal. I found this restaurant on Google and I also looked at the Yelp review. Parking was easy and getting a table was no problem. However, I did not enjoy the food. I love tendon and ordered the half tendon and half meat beef noodle. The tendon was so soft, it was like eating something fatty. We also shared a plate of cabbage and pork dumplings. They are good size but unfortunately they were not too tasty for me. Overall, I was disappointed that beef noodle soup in Arcadia is not as good as in NorCal.

Menu photos will help with ordering. Don't know if it's my phone connection or a language barrier but it doesn't matter. This spot has the best sesame cold noodle and minced pork noodle in the 626. Had no luck even at the good Taiwanese joints in Alhambra Monterey park plus more like pop and joy as they've been way too salty and noodles aren't as good. Ordering at the location and waiting for the food has generally been fast.

    Dry noodles house

House dry noodle is very tasty. Great noodle texture and extra sesame tasting! Also got the dumplings and they were delicious as well. Very juicy and flavorful. Great quick service. The food tastes wonderful and definitely like home cooking. I will be returning and highly recommend anyone that is in the area. Plenty of parking available in the plaza and also conveniently located by boba shops as well. I really like the ambiance of this place because it feels very no frills and mom/pop style. They also sell frozen dumplings to go so I'll definitely have to pick some up next time.

    Braised beef noodle soup

Tried here for dinner with some friends. Located in a large plaza, there is plenty of parking. Staff only spoke Mandarin to us, not sure if they know English. We were seated right away and given waters and menus. They weren't very busy at 6:30 pm. We ordered the braised beef noodle soup ($10.99) and pork and chive dumplings ($10.99). The braised beef was very tough to chew and dry. The soup was a bit spicy so be warned. Portion was decent but mostly just soup in a large bowl. The dumplings came in 10 pieces and were fat and juicy. Nothing super special about the filling though.

We had a quick unmemorable dinner here. Ordered the #1, #4 beef noodle soup and boiled pork Napa dumplings. Not much difference between the noodle soups except #1 had an egg and two bok choys. I guess that makes it "premium"? But I don't understand the up charge. The dumplings had lots of juicy fillings and thin skin. I saw a few people grabbing a bag of frozen dumplings to go. The service was adequate and the restaurant was clean. It was kind of a hole in the wall with no frills. There are freezers on one side of the restaurant storing frozen dumplings for purchase.

We stumbled on Xiang Ji when we spotted a picture of their braised three treasures noodle on their window. What luck! We walked in and were quickly sat as the restaurant was near empty upon our arrival; however, there was a wait no more than 15 minutes after. Again, what luck! We ordered their chicken gizzard (cold dish), braised half tendon half meat beef noodles and braised three treasures noodles. As we waited for our order, the server directed us to their "sauce bar" that included four chili oils. I wish I took a picture but two of their chili oils/sauces were incredibly tasty. One was a red paste and the other was garlicky. We enjoyed our dishes. The chicken gizzard has a pickled vegetable mixed in (that we loved), along with our noodle soups. The broth was flavorful and the meat was tender. As we looked around, we noticed several tables with their bean curd, and that's definitely on our list for our next visit. They have frozen options of many of their dishes, as well as their dumplings. Looks like a great option! Plenty of parking available in the plaza. No frills but delish!

Heard this place was popular for beef noodles so came here to try with some friends. There is plenty of parking in this plaza which is good. And there was no wait for a table when we came. It is a casual sit in restaurant and they have a good amount of tables. We got the Beef Noodle Soup (10.99) and the pork and chives dumpling 10 pieces (12.99). The noodles and dumplings were served pretty fast which was nice. You can get sauces for your noodle or dumpling at a separate counter by the door. I didn't get any because I thought it was good enough without. The dumplings were pretty good and big and I liked the filling. As for the noodles, it was a bit spicy for me since I can't eat any spice. The employee said it isn't too spicy so I trusted them but it was still a bit spicy for me but I could still eat it. I didn't drink much of the broth though. They gave plenty of beef with the noodles but the pieces were tough to chew and a bit dry, so I couldn't finish all of it. Overall, I think this place is pretty mid and is a hit or miss for some people. I thought the beef noodles I tried at another place were much better and not spicy. I wouldn't come back here again but worth giving it a try if you are curious.

Braised Combination Appetizer Dish (Bean Curd, braised egg, seaweed, peanuts)

Came back here again recently with my family and they finally have a name front. glad it was renamed from "apt" because that was just confusing. Their customer base has improved and the flavors of their Taiwanese food continue to be authentic. Service is a bit on the slower side as they usually only have 1 staff running the whole dining area - taking orders, bringing out the food, packing to-go orders, processing the bills; I feel for the person. I think it's a family-owned business so the family members take turns. Anyway, as long as you don't come here while in a rush, then you are good.

Delicious spot for some Taiwanese cuisine. Great service - it's seem like family own so kinda got the feeling that the daughter is helping out with being server and cashier . Ambiance is like a small family own restaurant Got to try there beef noodle soup it's delicious The stinky tofu bring you back to Taiwan Same with the pig intestines vermicelli soup All items I order was right on point that bring all the yay want tastes back!!! I order all my items without cilantro (cause I'm not a big fan) but for you that like the cilantro it will bring the look and taste up a notch.

Excellent Taiwanese comfort food! The beef noodle soup came in a huge portion and was delicious, the braised combination plate was very well done and authentic, the dumplings were fragrant with nice flavor and texture, and the braised stinky tofu was stinky but in a good way. The restaurant itself was homey, and the wait staff were super friendly and welcoming. I wish I live closer but will happily go out of my way to eat there again :)

The beef noodle soup here is so good ! The service is great too , come to try it out !

Craveable coriander cabbage pork dumplings and beef stewed noodles (clear broth). Whenever i'm in the area, go-to stop by for the dumplings: 1 order for dine-in and another order to-go Parking: free parking in front/around the plaza or in the covered garage.

You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab a quick bowl," and suddenly there's a noodle master stretching dough like he's training for the Olympics. Their Lanzhou-style noodles? Fresh, chewy, and honestly a little too good--they'll ruin instant ramen for you forever. The Lan noodle soup is so rich and savory. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. One wrong move and you'll be thinking about it halfway through your bowl like, "I should've gone wider."

They have a small and large sweet and sour chicken rice plate. I had gotten the small size just to try it out, but it was surprisingly good (5/5). The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. The dining room doesn't seat a lot of people so try not to come during busy dining hours on weekends to avoid a long wait.

Then we started trying new ones opened in the area and now often go to one at the mall for good ramen and conscience. I was craving for Okinawa soba so decided to come here without driving to South Bay. It's Friday around 1:30pm and the shop is relatively busy that only a couple of tables are available. We sat down and started looking at the menu - now a digital one with a tablet on every table. You can browse the menu on the tablet and put your order in on it. We ordered Okinawa soba and miso ramen. For $15 each, it seems like a decent price. We like the broths here. It's rich and deep without a layer of fat on top like most of the ramen shops. The noodles are firm with a nice bite to it. I especially like the Okinawa soba because it uses thicker noodles. The meat is tender and has a sweet flavor to it. If I had to nitpick, they don't have the Okinawa chili vinegar to go with the soba. It's a small shop. The walls are sprayed painted to look like a Japanese night time izakaya vibe. We will definitely come back more often.

Unfortunately, today made us realize the drive is no longer worth it. As we walked in, the owner (I assume) was so focused on his phone that he didn't greet us or acknowledge us at all. We had to approach him and ask where to sit because he didn't even look up. It felt unwelcoming and very different from how this place used to be. On top of that, the food just wasn't the same the flavor was lacking, and the overall experience didn't feel like the restaurant we've supported for years. It's disappointing to say, but this place has lost our business. Great customer service and consistent quality matter, and sadly both were missing today.
