We got the mixed aloe juice which is a lightly sweetened juice with aloe and mixed jelly. The drink wasn't very specific so I don't know what it is exactly and I would not get it again. It is nice to have this place so you can grab something if you're in the area. However I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Located at a small intersection with street parking available. And the portion is not as generous as it was before and the chicken pieces are much smaller now. Very disappointing. The ladies working here are still very nice and there's tables to sit but no wifi. I was craving Taiwanese popcorn chicken while I was in the area and this placed popped up. Thanks to trusty Ole, Yelp. :) This is a very unique shop in an area that is saturated with boba shops and such. When you walk in you will see a lot of stuff that will make you wonder what kind of shop you walked into. They have a menu that boasts of boba, what they call "bento" which look like rice bowls to me with tea eggs, and snacks. But you will see lots of clear plastic tubs filled with different things like candy (sour, sweet, etc.), dried fruits, jerky (curry, bbq, spicy, etc.), edible flowers, etc. After I ordered my crisp fried chicken (they don't call it Taiwanese popcorn chicken), I was walking around in curiosity of all the tubs and the lady behind the counter asked if I wanted a sample. Of course, I said yes. I'm Asian! LOL Here's my order: - Crisp Fried Chicken ($11.01): I got it mild. This had the same consistency as Taiwanese popcorn chicken and it tasted great, but for the price, the portion was too small. I've gotten bigger portions at different places at a lower price. - Dried Strawberries ($9.60): I got a sample and I liked it so I got the half pound. They charge by the half pound for all their snacks in the clear tubs. And they all cost differently. I appreciated the customer service since the lady behind the counter was so nice to offer me a sample of the stuff in the tubs. I was so curious about everything. LOL But I didn't want to be greedy so the strawberry sample was enough for me. Parking might suck as it is only street parking, but I got lucky and got it right in front. Will I come back? Sure. Stopped by Fresh Delicious in Arcadia and tried their popcorn chicken and honestly, it was pretty good! Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and well-seasoned without being overly salty. It had just the right amount of crunch, and the portion size was decent, though a bit on the expensive side for what you get. Service was friendly and quick, and the place felt clean and welcoming. I worked down the street and was happy to come and grab a Tea and as soon as I walked in and the two ladies were not helpful and I had to ask to be helped. They had a list of fun juices & Teas with fruit in them and foam . All I was looking for a green tea over ice . I took 2 stars off because I ordered #4 Hot Grass Jelly Tea and she handed me an iced drink. I really wanted a hot drink given it's a raining day. When I got the drink I said isn't this supposed to be HOT? She goes... you didn't tell me you wanted it hot. UM.... But the name of the drink is literally "HOT grass jelly tea," it should be hot by default. If I wanted iced, then YES, I would say I wanted it iced. I was like your menu is misleading because it says it's hot, why would I need to tell you that. She didn't even offer to switch the drink for me. I was annoyed and in a rush to leave. I drove past this place pretty much twice daily heading to and from work since it changed from an herb store to a boba, shaved ice, and fusion-ey entree place. This past weekend, my middle kid had a soccer game at the adjacent middle school, and my youngest son and I walked over to get him something sweet. The menu is pretty straightforward with lots of pictures. I couldn't talk my son into a shaved ice with sweet milk, mango and red bean... so he went with the #6 brown sugar boba milk tea. My number one boba nai cha Felt a little lonely, so I ordered up their "French sandwich," sort of a bánh mì looking sandwich. A cursory inspection of the menu indicated that they had other items from various Asian cuisines and cultures. My son and I sat down to enjoy our drinks while we waited for the sandwich. The store is new and clean, the staff was friendly without being overly chatty, and there's a pretty little orchid display for your viewing pleasure while you wait. The sandwich turned out to be very tasty, but was missing my favorite ingredient: sliced fresh jalapeño peppers, or at least something spicy. This even had that nice kind of mystery meat crunch thing, head cheese maybe? ... tendons and tripe and knuckles and stuff like that. All the stuff a growing boy like me needs. And I'm not even being facetious, it was really good. It just needed some nose-running kick spice to make it all work. As previously noted, this is literally across the street from a middle school, so I can only imagine that at dismissal, the place is probably pretty busy with polite but decidedly middle school adolescent kids. If that sort of thing bothers you, you probably have no business being on First Avenue around 3 o'clock in the afternoon on a weekday anyway. It's a small mom and pop shop, there are 2 sweet ladies working, 1 always in the back making the food. Another 1 at the register taking customers' orders. I ordered the 2 snack combo with popcorn chicken and fish cake. For drink, I got the hot grass jelly milk tea with 25% sugar. Popcorn Chicken and Fishcake: very good texture and crispy.The flavors are very balanced. I got it with medium spicy. Portion is pretty good for $9.59. You can alsp get 3 combo items for the same price as well. Grass Jelly Milk tea: my first time trying it and it's really good. The grass jelly tasted very fresh and soft. I did get 25% sugar but I felt like it's still on the sweeter side for me. overall, the drink tasted very delicious. Service is great, I came around 8 pm. not packed and they close at 9 pm. I was greeted with right away and the 2 ladies are so friendly. Plenty parking on the street. They also have shaved iced and other taiwanese desserts. I was craving for some Taiwanese food and this was one of the very first few places I saw on Yelp nearby that accepted card(I have no cash) and still open at 8pm. The shop is just on the corner of California St and 1st Ave next to the water shop, you can't miss it! Plenty of street parking and two spots directly right in front of the stores but one of them is 24 minute only. Very friendly people there, I was greeted right away with kind smiles. I kind of felt like it was expensive that I got two snacks togo(popcorn chicken was the same price as 3 fried sausages) and a boba milk tea for dinner for just me(about $25 for the 3 items) but it's my bad for not seeing they had rice bowls and that could've just filled me up probably. They walked up to me with my order instead of calling me over to get, which was very nice of them to do. Boba milk tea was not bad, good chewy boba.The popcorn chicken was a fair amount portion but I was hoping for more basil, just a small speck of basil on the bottom of the bag. The fried sausages were thick and juicy. At first I was disppointed cause the picture on the big menu had me thinking I would get more than 3 sausages, definitely worth though. Their peach slush is really good and refreshing! The popcorn chicken was good too. It had good basil and garlic flavor. Can't wait to come back and try their other food. Found this place opened up on the way to the mall, a little mom and pop shop in the middle of Arcadia downtown. I thought it was a decent shop to be opened in the downtown area since many people walk up and down the streets. How to describe this place? Taiwanese snacks and desserts! Recommend if you live near by or be walking around in the neighborhood after dinner to grab something to go, especially their dessert, even though they also offer snacks. You can order shaved ice with red beans, fruits, hot grass jelly or milk teas herbal teas. If you're hungry, they have snacks and rice dishes like popcorn chicken, Taiwanese sausage with rice or minced pork with rice. Tried out their popcorn chicken mild, generous amount of chicken for one order and it was decent. Will give their rice dish a try when in the area again. There are a couple of seats indoors, and no outdoor seats. Recommend placing your orders on the phone and do a quick pick up. read more

Came here 30 min before they close but the two lovely Asian grandmas welcomed us in. The store is very chill and cozy with sweet and fruity aroma in the air. They offered us free samples of their dried snack selections without pushing us to buy their products. They mainly serve Taiwanese drinks and snacks. I would recommend their fried sausage rice ($10.79). Their rice has a nice firm and chewy texture with added sweet and savory flavor from the sausages. This restaurant is located across the street from First Avenue Middle School. I was the first customer when the restaurant opened on Tuesday and the cashier was super nice and friendly. I ended up ordering a few of the street foods which came out to be $22. The fried sausage is basically Taiwanese sausage. Don't be deceived by the picture which shows a bunch of sausages because it comes with 3 skewers for $10. A bit on the pricey side but it was pretty tasty. I also tried out the fried combination which you get to choose 2 or 3 different fried foods. I went with chicken and fish cake which was crispy and pretty solid. Food took awhile to prep, probably 15 minutes, but the cashier was nice enough to have me try out some samples of their home made beef jerky. I came here with my coworkers on a Friday during lunch time. We ordered 4 drinks which took about 10 minutes (there was only 1 lady working in the front). I ordered a green milk tea with boba and they forgot to add in the boba which I didn't notice until after, but I was understanding because the worker had a slightly difficult time understanding me in English. Decided to stop by for a snack at 8 pm and the place was empty (albeit it was a weekday). The fried chicken is pretty crispy and has a very strong garlic flavor. The whole thing comes out fresh and warm although this means it takes a while to make. Despite being the only customers we still waited around 5-10 minutes. I did wish the chicken had more salt and less sugar. It tasted a little too sweet compared to the popcorn chicken other places make. There also wasn't any basil included which I would have liked. Tempura is on the lighter taste and not spicy at all. Not sure if you can request for some spicy powder but we didn't ask for it. The minced pork is very lean, so it's to my liking. So if you like more fats, maybe not your type. But should still try it cuz it does taste pretty good and healthier to eat leaner meat. There was also a little incident where I found the cucumber they included was actually moldy....so I called back to tell them just to let them know and not to continue giving moldy cucumbers. Ladies who work there are friendly. Unfortunately they use some cheap flimsy cups for drinks. Once I put the straw in the drink I ordered, tea leaked all over my cup holder in my car. I returned and told them what happened and got another cup with no issue. However, it LEAKED again. Unbelievable, Are you kidding me? The price they charge seems higher than other places.
