This might be my new go to spot in the city! Cafe Sweets is tucked away in an older plaza but is such a hidden gem. Dirty Matcha: wish the matcha to espresso ratio was a bit better but great overall Crème Brûlée Latte: good but a bit too sweet, I would lower the sweetness Crème Brûlée Matcha: the cream was delish, again a bit too sweet for me (ordered regular) They are having a buy two drinks get one free right now. The pricing is great, especially with the free drink. I also appreciate that they had an allergy warning by the door. Will be back to try the food!

Dry noodle and fries mix!

The coffee, tea cakes, muffins, fries mix and dry noodles are so affordable and great! Everyone there is so nice and friendly too. This is my new favorite and go-to place now!

Passing through the area, we saw a relatively new boba/dessert spot, and of course I had to try! We ordered some fries, almond tea cakes, chocolate tea cakes, and a few drinks. Fries: They were so crispy and delicious! It was definitely popular with my kids. Tea cakes: The almond tea cakes weren't too sweet and had a nice texture to it. The chocolate one was really good too, but I thought the original one lets the almond flavor shine more. I never had anything like it before! Jasmine green tea: The jasmine flavor was so floral and strong. I love strong tea flavors, and every sip smelled so nice too! Camellia green tea: Also super refreshing! The tea flavor wasn't as distinct as the jasmine for me because of the mango jellies I added, but I still loved the drink. Latte with cream foam: The cream foam was so soft and creamy. It just melted with every sip of the latte. Service was very friendly and quick. The shop isn't super big, but they had a few tables, and it was quiet and relaxing. They share a small parking lot with a few other businesses, but we didn't have issues finding a spot on a Saturday afternoon. I'll definitely be back for more almond tea cakes and drinks, whenever i'm in the area again!

Came after hours and everything was so fresh!!! The boba was so good and the bundt cake was moist.

Apple Cinnamon Bite. $13 prior to tax for 6

Cafe Sweets is located in the same strip mall as Alex Di Peppe's Italian Restaurant and Laoxi Noodle House, specifically in the corner that is next door to the barber shop. I came by this newly opened eatery on 2 separate occasions, this past Saturday with my mom and yesterday with my husband. Over both visits, we had received very friendly and gracious service by one of the owners, Grace (she remembered me on my second visit). Over the 2 visits we had purchased: Carrot Tea Cakes, $15 prior to tax for 6- Wow these tea cakes are really good. There are nuts, a small amount of raisins, pineapples and shredded carrots in each of these tea cakes. Each cake is dense and very delicious. Grace told us that they also freeze well too. Apple Cinnamon Bite. $13 prior to tax for 6- Another delicious tea cake, inside are nuts and large pieces of apples on top. Almond Tea Cakes, $15 prior to tax for 6- My favorite tea cake, these tea cakes have a nice almond flavor. All of these tea cakes are not too sweet (Asian sweet) and perfect for a snack or a little dessert after your lunch. Chocolate Tea Cake- This was free sample given to us to try. Grace told us this is just like the almond tea cakes but with chocolate chips added and chocolate drizzled on top. Creme Brulee, $3.50 prior to tax- Grace was so kind to give my mom a free one. My mom thought it was good and didn't think it was too sweet, just perfect for her. Double Chocolate Pecan, $2.50 prior to tax- This cookie has a nice cake like softness and is a pretty large size. I didn't have any because my husband took it to work and had said he liked it. Thai Red Rubies, $7.95 prior to tax- This drink is similar to Vietnamese che thai drink with coconut milk and all of those colorful chewy jellies inside. The drink wasn't too sweet and very refreshing. The size is good for 2 to share. Both my husband and I enjoyed this drink. Brown Sugar Boba Milk, $5.95 prior to tax- I ordered this to be made with 25% sweetness and no ice. I thought this drink was find with the sweetness level adjustment and I also found that the boba was nice and soft, but chewy. Milk Tea, $5.95 prior to tax + Pudding $0.50 prior to tax- Both my husband and I ordered this drink to be made with 50% sweetness level and no ice. My husband liked his drink and so did I. I had my drink the next day and thought it was perfectly made. The pudding was good. Birria Ramen, $15.95 prior to tax- Birria tacos or ramen (for the same price) is only available on Wednesdays. Grace had told her that her friend makes the birria. Honestly, the birria was good, it wasn't greasy like other places that I have had birria and the broth base was good. It was a little salty and sour, but I think it went very well with the meat and the ramen noodles. The portion size is perfect for both my husband and I to share. We did share a little for my mom to try since Grace had told us on Saturday to come back to try the birria (so I wanted to make sure my mom got a chance to try it). My mom really liked it (and this was the first time she had birria). ------------------------------------- Please note that currently Cafe Sweets has a grand opening special that you can purchase 2 drinks and get the 3rd drink free (which also includes the Thai Red Rubies if you wish to take advantage of that deal). We had a great experience on both visits (and took our items to go each time) and see myself coming back in the near future. Please note that Cafe Sweet is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays.

Special of the day, these noodles were delish!!

Keith Lee come make your presence here!! I found myself a hidden gem! Super delicious, super cute, awesome customer service and so close to home. The main reason I went to cafe sweets was for a bucket of their Thai red ruby (kind of like Vietnamese che). Customer service was so good I ended up getting their daily special dry noodles! Wow!!!! This little noodle bowl was a flavor burst in my mouth. I usually don't eat meatballs or certain meats but I gobbled everything down! I've never had tea cake before and was going to give the samples to my bf. So glad I didn't because the crispy soft chewy texture is unlike anything I've had before. And not too sweet either. My favorite is the apple one. Still need to try their boba drink which I'm sure I'll fall in love with! Come out and support this woman minority owned business!!!

Such a cute place! A good place to study! Many deals in the store, like buy 2 get 1 drinks, free tea cake w $10 (I think) purchase. My best purchase was the red rubies dessert! I love the jellies and especially the red ruby! For the tea cakes, we got the almond and carrot cake. I compare these cakes to like muffin tops, the part everyone likes! Gotta go back and get the other flavor tea cakes, drinks and grab my stuff to study there!

Tiramisu Latte, Crème Brûlée Latte, Hot Golden Tea, and a tea cake
Kathy L.

This has become our go-to spot for coffee and boba! The sweetness and milk can be tweaked which is great because some drinks can be a bit sweet so the adjustments make them perfect. They currently have a buy 2 get 1 free deal so even more of a reason to come! The tea cakes and Thai dessert is always delicious. Service is always absolutely top notch, drinks are amazing, and the location is small but cozy and cute. Usually not very busy but we've seen it busy on weekends. Parking can get a bit busy sometimes but I've never had an issue.

I came around opening, 10:15am and found parking easily. The girl at the counter was so sweet and mentioned to me they just opened and she's helping her aunt in the back. She told me about the 2 drinks get 1 drink free special and said when the pastries are done, she'll give me a sample. I ordered the matcha foam ice latte, hojicha tea, and matcha milk tea. she asked if i wanted it with no ice so i can save it for later. it was kind of her to ask and the drinks were really good. I also tried the almond pastry and I will definitely come back to get a whole box of it. A lot of little almond pieces for the crunchy feel. the side of the pastry also had a nice edge crispy chewy taste. I'm not a huge fan of hojicha to begin with but this one was pretty good. it's less smokey, which i love.

Mini egg rolls, noodle soup, and a matcha latte
Krystal H.

Discovered this cute and cozy cafe through a menu flyer that appeared at my front door one day. I've had their food and drinks 3 separate times since then. Everyone has been so lovely and welcoming during the times I've stopped by and ever so patient the times when I've stood by, awkwardly gawking at the menu. Customer service is great in person and even on the phone if you decide to call your order in ahead of time. Their tea cakes are the perfect balance of flavorful without being too sweet, with my favorite flavors being the cinnamon apple and almond ones. Their egg tarts completely hit the spot, especially if you're lucky enough to get a piping hot batch of them. The mini egg rolls have been consistently delicious every single time I've had them and are now my must-have snack from Cafe Sweets. The matcha latte has become my favorite in the area, so it hurts my soul that I have to watch my sugar intake while it's so accessible to me. Overall, solidly great experiences with the staff, food, and drinks. Hope I can continue supporting Cafe Sweets for the foreseeable future.

They definitely could make their workflow more efficient to shorten the wait time. I opted for the black sesame and mango sago, which were creamy, packed with flavor, and not overly sweet. 6/7/2026 First time…read moreat Warabimochi Kamakura. WARABIMOCHI 12 PC MIX (2 FLAVORS) 6 PC KINAKO, 6 PC MATCHA The warabimochi is very soft and jiggly. Softer than boba, soft like jello, yet has that chewy, gooey texture. Not my favorite texture, but glad I tried it. I just saw that they had black sesame flavor too, but I was in such a rush, I must have missed it on the menu. Comes with a little bottle of brown sugar syrup, which is rich in brown sugar flavor and quite sweet too. When poured over the warabimochi, it does only taste like the brown sugar syrup. I would recommend that you eat the warabimochi with ice cream. I didn't order any at the store, but ate the ice cream I had at home. Choice of ice cream was Straus Family Creamery's Vanilla Bean. It didn't overpower the warabimochi flavors of the matcha or kinako, it simply added more creaminess and additional texture to the dessert. Also, you can get a firmer texture when you put the warabimochi in the fridge overnight, which I thought was much better and enjoyable to eat. HOJICHA CLOUD Very good hojicha flavor. But mostly it is cream. Hence, the name Cloud. I got it 100% sweetness and I asked for warabimochi pieces added to the drink. They give you a boba straw to drink. Warabimochi was very soft, light chewiness, cut into smaller pieces. The drink was very slightly on the sweeter side, but it's that or 50% sweetness level. There was a lot of ice in it, which means there's less hojicha drink too. Got it in medium size. Small size and medium size cost difference is 0.75 cents. Best to get a medium size. There's also a large size, which is much bigger in comparison to the medium. STRAWBERRY MATCHA CLOUD This had a good matcha and strawberry flavor all around. They also added warabimochi in this drink too. The matcha is a cream top and the rest is strawberries with milk. It tasted good and not overly sweet. This was 100% sweetness. Personally wished there wasn't any warabimochi in it, but it automatically comes with the drink. Did not realize there would be any in it too until after I ordered it. I would reorder the drinks. Maybe order one without warabimochi though. I would try their other drink offerings too. I haven't tried their black sesame warabimochi, so might return to try that one. CUSTOMER SERVICE Good, friendly customer service. Only two people working. Warabimochi came out first, then the drinks. Everything came out in order and quickly. LOCATION Located at Santa Anita Mall. First floor. At the food court. Across from Zumiez and Shoe Palace, Daniel's, Game Stop. Just follow the Food Court sign and you'll find it quicker. It is a stand alone store right in the center of the food court.

I have been going to Moo Moo Mia for a while now and it has been one of my favorite delights when it comes to craft ice cream. They offer monthly flavors along with some more original staples and lets be honest, with summer looming, knowing a great ice cream spot is always a must. There are monthly flavors so I recommend swinging by early in the month to check out what great flavors they have cooked up. At the time of my visit, I was hooked on the Strawberry Koldski which was inspired by the Danish roots and a mix of sweet and tart Strawberry. I got a double and I simply wanted more. My go to, is the Oreo and Cream which is one of the best Cookies and Cream variants I have ever had. Everyone is super nice and you can have tastings of the different flavors until you land on one. Trust me, some flavors hit on different days! The shop is in the famous Monrovia shopping area, which adds to the allure of visiting. When I asked for the stronger option, I was recommended to get the cappucino rather than the latte and they can make the caffeine a little bit more concentrated without sacrificing the flavor. The cookies were a little dry for my taste but maybe it was because the samplers were sitting outside for a little too long.
