It was my 1st boba shop visited and my very 1st boba stamp acquired. Sweet! My first time here to redeem its free drink offer of 1 Green Milk Tea with boba. Thanks Nest Tea House! This no frills boba shop is located on Las Tunas Drive in the Arcadia Center Mall. Parking can be found throughout the plaza in the front, back, and around the building. You'll need to drive in a little bit to see Nest Tea House at the back corner end of building. Interior space was clean and has lots of seating. One all gender restroom for customer use only. I was greeted with a smile upon entry. The young lady who took my order was super sweet, friendly, and nice. Very patient and helpful in answering my questions. I asked for no ice on all 4 drinks. This place is known for their milk tea. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. People and vibes are nice and I got their guava slush, Hokkaido milk teas, and taro milk tea to try. The guava slush was pretty sweet, syrupy, bright, and fruity. The milk teas were sweet, smooth, and caramelly. I added a creamy whipped Hokkaido top to the taro milk tea but wasn't getting much taro flaves from the milk tea itself tho. The drinks were all ok but nothing too special so for me this place eh. I stopped by Nest Tea House in Arcadia and got the milk tea with boba. I got this drink for free through the passport, which was a nice bonus! The milk tea was really good, and I especially liked the lychee jelly. It was chewy and went really well with the drink. I also liked the atmosphere of the shop. Tbh I normally enjoy Nest Tea House but today was not it. I typically order passionfruit mango green tea with aloe at 50% sugar (I always forget I should do 25% instead cause it's still so sweet). Tonight, we went and ordered the same thing but the aloe was mushy. We went back into the store a couple minutes in and asked if he could remake it without the aloe because it was off. He literally gave us an empty cup to "strain" ourselves. Poor customer service from this young man. Normally, the girls that work there are super nice and accommodating, however, this guy was not. This is such a cute, quiet cafe; literally a hole in the wall type of place. I originally went here to use my SGV passport and my drink was so delish that I decided to get a mango slush. Tried this for the first time and I can't say I will be coming back. The oolong milk tea was mostly underwhelming and lacked the aromatic flavor I wanted. Also, the pudding was terrible and tastes cheap, the kind you make with a powder. The other tea was Hokkaido with grass jelly which was also underwhelming. My sister loves the black sugar milk tea and hokkaido milk tea. They have a strong tea flavor that's balanced out really well with whatever milk and sweetener that they use. The drinks are on the sweeter side so my go to is 75% sweet. During and after the pandemic, they closed all the indoor seating but recently came back and all the indoor seats are finally open again! It's one of the places that are opened later until 10:30pm. I've done a lot of studying here in the past and tables still can be taken a lot of times. All drinks are made with non-dairy milk (not sure which one), so that is a big thumbs up coming from a vegan. I ordered the taro milk tea and the black sugar milk tea. The drinks were very subpar and I was honestly disappointed. They looked and tasted almost identical. Not totally watery, but not creamy at all. There was barely a hint of taro. I stumbled upon this place after having Korean bbq near by then craving some thai tea. I searched Thai tea in yelp and came across this place. It was my such a calming atmosphere inside and extremely clean and the look was fresh and pretty. The service was friendly with a smile and the woman at the cashier was also the barista. I had to comment how fast she was to make my fresh Thai tea because I had barely sat down and she had it ready. This was even after having three people ahead of me. She made all of drinks quickly and was sure to speak to each of us individually. It looked like a great place to come back and study or even do some work.
