    Tieguanyin w/cheese foam
    Courtney A.

Finally!!! I was in Taiwan last year and ever since I've been on the hunt for the perfect Tieguanyin w/cheese foam in CA. This is it. Amazing! Exactly like I remember it. I got 75% sweet and it was really good. You could probably go to 50% if you really don't want any sweetness, but honestly the 75% felt pretty balanced since the cheese foam has a good funkiness. The inside is chic- what you expect from a cafe. The drink came out fast. Heavenly.

What's up: Meeting up with a coworker to catch up and hang out with our doggos. We saw that this place had outdoor seating listed so we decided to meet up here. Parking: Located in the Arcadia Landmark plaza, there is plenty of parking spots available shared among the nearby businesses. Environment: There are two sets of lounge chairs situated outside as their outdoor seating area. Inside, there are several chairs and tables as well as a lounging area in the corner. Order can be placed at the counter or on the self order tablet. Menus are located overhead and the restrooms are down the short hallway on the left, in the back. We placed our order and the drinks came out pretty fast. We asked if we could sit inside with our doggos and were given the ok. They also had a doggie water bowl located near the door. What was ordered: - Taiwan Tie Kuan Yin Milk Tea (regular sweetness. There was more milk than tea flavor but still good) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Staff member was friendly and the environment was pretty comfortable. We did eventually try out the outdoor seating towards the end and the chairs were comfy. Credit cards and Apple Pay accepted.

Great little place to hang out and get a great tea. The shop is kinda unique with minimum service by provided self service machine. High quality drink, I strongly recommend the real fruit drink. Def high recommended for coffee/refreshing tea in the area

Nice boba shop that has some cash discounts. The interior is very open and clean. They have a large selection of drinks, no snacks though. The drinks were well made and quite satisfying. Fairly priced and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Baked cream brulee milk tea top foam

I wanted to try this place given how it's so close to where I live and it's been awhile since I've visited this plaza. It was a Friday night (roughly 7:30pm) and the store wasn't busy, there was one staff member who basically took our order and made everything herself! I wanted something creamy so the recommendations for fruity teas weren't on my mind. We ended up ordering the Taiwan Tiekuan Yin milk tea with boba and the Baked Brûlée milk tea (both half sweet). If you want boba or other toppings, it's extra. While waiting, the seating area and decor was decent and felt like you can relax. There's very low folding chairs outside with little tables, best if you can't get up from low ground to not sit on these. There's other different seating arrangements so it's like a mix of camping and living room style. The staff made our drinks before more customers entered and wow about 10 people started coming in and lined up. We stayed a bit to relax but decided to walk around the plaza with our drinks. The creme brûlée foam was surprising, I didn't see the staff torch anything but there's speckles of burnt parts on top. The cream looked thick and was smeared on the cup making the drink artistic. The drink under the foam was good, it was decently sweet and had a vanilla taste to the milk tea. Unfortunately, we didn't mix the foam with the drink well. Therefore, when we tried the foam on its own, it was salty! It was creamy and thick but had a salty taste which I had to add water to finish it. I think we need to mix it before hand to get a better homogenized flavor? I preferred the Taiwan milk tea with boba more, I'm glad I got half sweet and the boba was decent and chewy. It was refreshing and I enjoyed finishing it. There's also a restroom sign near the back, but we didn't stay long to use it.

Cute shop with adorable cups. Straightforward tea/boba shop with great hours. It's open early and late enough. Great place to study as there are outlets, music is not that loud and there's seating. Parking lot sucks on the weekend but during the week it's chill especially in the morning. I've met friends here before because it's easy enough. Is it the best tea ever? No but overall it's good enough all the way around and would recommend.

Pretty good tea spot in Arcadia. I was eating at a restaurant in the same plaza and decided to stop by here to grab a drink. We got a Aiyu Honey Lemon and upgraded to the jumbo size which came in a funny looking bucket. The drink was good, not that sweet though (we got 25% sweetness) and slightly bitter because of the limes. It tasted healthy and overall we enjoyed it.

Oops avocado (left) and taro milk tea (too sweet).

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and place was empty. I've been on the hunt for avocado yogurt drink/cheese drink. The official online menu didn't have avocado drink but they had it written in chalk on the in-store menu as "oops avocado." First of all no greeting with a smile. When I asked the barista what is in "oops avocado" she looked at me deadpan and was like "umm..avocado...milk tea" as if I was an idiot for not already knowing. I said ok I'll take that since I wanted to try it. It turns out it is avocado yogurt drink! Anyway the drink was on point but the service was lacking. She went straight back to staring at her phone after she finished the drinks. Decor was cute though.

Oops, I accidentally stumbled upon this place and was pleasantly surprised! All jokes side, Oops Boba Tea & Coffee is a calm and charming boba spot in Arcadia. This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a modern and spacious setup with about 5-6 tables for seating. For their menu, they have a wide selection of different fruit tea, milk tea, and coffee drinks. Wifey and I stopped by after a long day of errands and opted to get the Taiwan Tie Guanyin Milk Tea and the Watermelon Peach Tea. Both drinks were very refreshing and were made in less than 10 minutes! Overall, we enjoyed the calm and welcoming ambiance of the shop. All of the staff here are very friendly and helpful. Put this spot up next for your next boba run in the 626!

Great environment to do work and drink good boba. I tried try the mochi barley tea and adjusted the sweetness level to 25% which was perfect. Curious to try other specialities here as well since everything looked so good

Went with friends to try a new boba tea. Her little wanted a drink from another shop two doors down. When we entered, there was only one person running the shop. That did add to the wait time. Made a request for two drinks to have less sugar but, they seem to have full sugar. That is why it lost one star. It shot my blood sugar level high! We sat down and played a game on my phone while we waited for our little one to get their order from the other shop. This shop had a few spots to sit and chat. It was clean and well organized. We might try this again but, I will see if they will listen to make the drink as requested.

Dirty strawberry milk and Barley Mochi Milk Tea (new)
    Tiffany L.

Their drinks are honestly good, but would say the experience is far from 5 stars. They do not provide ANY descriptions for their drinks, so you have no idea what toppings there are unless you ask. For example, their best selling Dirty Strawberry uses jelly and popping boba on top of the fresh strawberries. I personally think the combination goes well because of the combined textures, but if you dislike certain toppings, that can be annoying. For example, I also had their new Barley Mochi Milk Tea, and it contained small barley popping boba which I honestly really did not like, and I was annoyed that the cashier neglected to mention this when I asked her what was inside the drink before I ordered. The mochi was alright, mainly because it didn't have as much texture compared to the one I've had at Motto Tea. Both drinks had really chunky ice, to a point that it made it hard to get the toppings through the straw. The boba is too soft, so I'd rather go with their other toppings. I'd definitely go back because I really liked their Dirty Strawberry. It's not in my boba rotation based on how my first visit went, but that might change after I've tried more things on their menu.

Very cute, comfy seating, nice workers and great drinks! We always get the Thai Milk tea, and it is our absolute favorite. It is the perfect amount of sweetness!

For a shop that charges premium prices for its drinks, I expected a much better customer experience. The barista's tone came across as dismissive and irritated, which made the interaction even more unpleasant. I still enjoy Chi Cha San Chen as a brand, but this visit was disappointing enough that I definitely won't be before returning to this location.

The quality of their teas are also regarded as high-quality as you can taste the genuine tea fragrances in the drink despite the added milk or toppings. They have unique tea flavors and toppings that differentiates them from so many other boba houses in the 626 area. 1. Pistachio Coconut Velvet (5/5) A summer/seasonal drink that is worth raving about. It's super refreshing from the coconut water, yet creamy and luxurious from the velvety pistachio cream. They are generous with the pistachio bits that they coat on top of the pistachio foam. I devoured this drink it less then 2 minutes and almost went back for a 2nd cup. 2. Tea-cube Special (5/5) This is a simple, yet, satisfying cup of traditional milk tea. It's made from a black tea base + milk + tea-cube topping. The tea-cube is made from fresh tea then made into a jelly cubes. Super creative, yet delicious. It pairs well with almost any milk tea based drinks. 3. Mango Pomelo Sago (4/5) If you like mangos and like fruity drinks, then this is a good choice. It comes with sago toppings, which pairs well with the drink. When it's fresh and icy, it's super refreshing. However, if you wait too long and it melts, the drink can get a bit too sweet. 4. Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea (4.5/5) This drink is a Jasmine tea base with osmanthus rice paste, milk and crystal boba. You certainly can taste the osmanthus flavor. My favorite thing to do is get it with their house-special tea-cubes. My go-to boba place whenever I am in the area.

The tea cube special sounded unique so I gave it a try. It had a strong tea taste. The tea cubes were squishy and had a firm jelly texture. This drink would definitely fall more towards the chocolatey side. I felt that it was still sweet at 25% sugar, but I'd still get it again! I haven't stopped thinking about the drink since I had it yesterday. Definitely will need to stop by again soon to fix my craving for it.

Maybe they had a bad day, I get it., But her actions otherwise... First instance. Ordered strawberry latte with mochi. We asked to remove the topping. They did, but it messed up the drink itself. Asked to reblend it. I don't think she liked that. If the drink had mochi and there is a specific way to make the drink, she could've said it would just be less of the drink because there isn't mochi. Wouldn't been fine. Different day, ordered the same thing. She refused to not allow removal of the topping. I guess from what happened last time. She wouldn't budge on it. A different day. Ordered 4 of the bogo. Only 1 party in front of me that ordered. After I ordered, another party ordered after. The location isn't busy. Both got it before I did. The cashier asked if I was still waiting. I said yes and showered my receipt. The barista came out. Looked at the kiosk and did some tattoos and went to the back. Mentioned they are going to check and working on it. After giving my drinks, she said it was because they were brewing the tea. If it's a bogo, normally that tea should be ready since it was offered the whole week. I don't know. It seems a bit deliberate for those who ordered with adjustments. Considering they didn't even bother to mention they were brewing more tea knowing I was waiting. Technically the store would be saving money if we don't order with toppings so I'm not sure what the issue is with this person and tonight considering another review also mentioned a barista who laughed at them for ordering more in front of them. I come to a conclusion there may be something with this person. I understand bad days and hate to think otherwise.

There's also very extremely soft music, but I disliked how this music also played intermittent advertisements/commercials. However, it was somewhat spooky how the back area was so dimly lit. Overall, I found unexpected happiness and joy at Boba Friend (Monrovia). The boba is delicious; the drinks are flavorful & well-crafted; and the atmosphere has very adorable moments. If you enjoy boba, this is an easy recommendation. 4.9 out of 5!

I ordered the Peach Fruit Tea. I added Lychee Jelly and Sago for $0.75 each, bringing my total to $8.19 for a 16 oz drink. The tea was refreshing, light, and balanced. It wasn't overly sweet, so I could actually taste the tea instead of feeling like I was drowning in syrup. The lychee jelly added little bursts of sweetness, while the sago gave the drink a soft, chewy texture. Although the shop is primarily designed for to-go orders, it never feels rushed. There are two long wooden benches inside where customers can comfortably wait for their drinks while their orders are being prepared. Although it was a great deal, one of my drinks was extremely disappointing. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha ($8.99) with less ice and half sugar. I'm used to their matcha being one of my favorites because they (used to) use high quality matcha. I'm pretty sure they changed their matcha because it doesn't have a strong matcha taste like before and tasted very bland. The strawberry jam was said to be homemade but honestly it was extremely sweet and tasted like strawberry puree. The Yifang Fruit Tea ($7.69) with quarter sugar and less ice was more enjoyable. It was delicious and not too sweet. It had plenty of sweet and fresh passion fruit bits, as well as slices of fresh orange and apples on top. The tea tasted refreshing and not too bitter. Overall, I'm disappointed with the matcha strawberry since this used to be one of my favorite matcha spots but the Fruit Tea was pretty good
