Finally gave this drive thru boba a try and my impression so far is meh. The first time I got the strawberry yogurt with boba and it was so good that I went back the next day and it was a complete 180. Seeing that it's the same drink I ordered within 48 hours, I found a big discrepancy in the quality of the drink. The 2nd visit did not have the same texture or temperature as the first time and the boba was also much tougher. We tried the cheese grape drink and the peach & passion fruit green tea at Boba Ave. Both drinks were refreshing and tasted pretty good, especially the peach & passion fruit green tea. The downside is they don't have a huge variety of drinks to choose. The drive-thru line was also very long, so be prepared to wait during busy hours. I still visit Boba Ave when I need a drive thru. My dog appreciates the rides and we don't have to get out of car. But I'm sure it's getting harder to compete with all the drink places opening up down the street. Thank you boba Ave for being consistent with your drink quality and offering food snacks as well. Waited over 15 minutes for an order of popcorn chicken with no one in line for the drive thru and when we got the order the chicken was room temperature not hot and fresh like they said. As we were waiting we asked to cancel our order about 10 minutes in we watched the cashier walk by the window three times without addressing us once. When we finally stopped the cashier she said it should be two minutes and left before we could stop her to check on our order and she took a few minutes to come back with our order so we couldn't cancel it. But when we were leaving we reached into the cup and the chicken felt like it was sitting out for a few minutes like it was left out to cool before packaging our order. We turned around and asked for a refund. We're never coming back to this business no one should come here either. read more

The convenience of a drive thru is the reason why I always come back. They don't have non dairy options so I tend to stick with the fruit teas. I recommend ordering 75% or 50% sugar as they do get pretty sweet. They use to have two windows in their tunnel but now it's one ordering window and a pick up window on the other side. 2 words: DRIVE THRU. There have been other BOBA AVE locations that have come and gone and one that is closer to me but this is definitely worth it for the late night stop or a grand go. They do have seating inside too, but it is a much narrower establishment. Drinks are standard but come in HUGE cups even if you get regular. And getting a large means that I have some that I can ration off for the next day. Just be careful with their straight teas and adjusting the ice and sugar levels. I got a zero percent sugar and it was disgustingly bitter and had to be readjusted at home. Other than that, their Hokkaido milk tea is a creamy milky solid choice. They give plenty of snack foods too inside their to go cups as well and not many boba places have food which is a plus. Also just keep in mind if you're driving down the road, the drive thru sometimes leaks out and blocks traffic! read more

Drive-thru boba! Fast service, good value (fairly affordable in comparison to other spots nowadays) and the boba is actually good. The large cups are HUGE but actually fit in your car's cup holders. I used to work at a boba shop for years so I'm pretty picky with boba texture. Boba Ave Express does it right! It's perfectly soft and chewy and isn't hard at all. The drive through is so convenient and we got our drinks fast. I like their smoothies, but the taro milk tea had a strange fruity taste I wasn't into. My partner tried to finish but had to throw out majority unfortunately :( -- was not even enjoyable at all, just pain -- helped me get my water intake in early for the day though :,) We love the sizes of the pieces & flavor here, been coming here for 2-3 years. But for some reason, the spices have been so patchy & inconsistent -- last month they added more pepper which threw the flavor off, this month it seems the spices are applied lazily and uneven -- asking for mild gets you extra, extra spicy. Was looking for a late night snack and drink and found Boba Ave Express on Yelp. Came by around 1030 pm for some popcorn chicken but was advised that their kitchen was closed. The drive thru is super convenient and I love that it was an option for a boba place. We ordered a peach green tea drink and a milk tea drink. They were both so delicious! The drive through feature is nice! And so are the prices and portion sizes. Unfortunately, the drinks were not good. I got the Hokkaido Milk Tea and it was so sweet! I have a huge sweet tooth, but this was way too much. It tasted like milk after cereal had been sitting in it, and i barely got any tea flavor. The staff were great, super friendly, and they gave one of the clearest drive through speaker boxes I have ever heard. The mural inside is also fun. The drinks from the Rowland location are decent, so when my husband and I were in the area, we decided to swing by this place to grab a drink to share. We got the uji matcha latte large size. Although there was only one car in front of us on an early evening, it was NOT GOOD from the first sip. Neither of us could taste any matcha. It was overly sweet as if condensed milk was frothed. I've ordered uji matcha lattes from many places and this one is not it. The amount of sugar with no tea flavor whatsoever was really disarming. I took a few sips thinking it would taste better but no, it was flat tasting and crazy sweet. Husband gave up after two sips. We tried mixing it with coffee the next day but it was still the most imbalanced overpriced milk drink I've had in awhile; it just couldn't be fixed. Maybe it was just a bad order, but I hope their other drinks are not as ridiculously sugary and unflavored as this one was. I may give them a try again, but I'm not sure due to how badly this drink came out. Perhaps this place fits more people who have a major sweet tooth versus someone looking for a more balanced milk tea drink. You've been warned. read more
