01/13/26 Saturday [3.5/5] Had this during a party with catering from Hello Boba. It was the Royal Milk Tea with less ice and boba pearls. The tea was a bit bland and the pearls were very hard. I don't think anyone finished their drinks. Perhaps the party hosts picked it up the day before. I'll have to go in person one day to give it a fair review, but for now, I give it a 3.5/5.
I'll be honest! Wasn't planning to come here at all but thanks to Google Map I typed in "boba nearby" and suggested that I try this place out. Let me tell you folks!!! EXCELLENT boba!!! I was served by an employee named Heaven and it's so ironic that the boba drink she had prepared for me was HEAVRN! The boba was so fresh and I ordered the Ube matcha drink with boba and egg pudding!!!! I was loving it so next time you're in the city of El Monte! Try out Hello Boba!!! Parking is not an issue because it's located in a small plaza with plenty of space.
Ok first time and most likely not the last time! We tried their special with pudding. I asked for no grass jelly, wife won't like that, a boba milk tea and a boba Thai tea. My daughter thought the boba milk tea, the tea flavors were too strong but I poured it out and added some milk and black sugar syrup that we have at home to lighten the tea flavor. The other two 5/5! This place definitely doesn't go light on their flavors! They also offer stamp card! Ambiance 4.5/5 cute place Cleanliness in lobby 5/5 Taste of beverages 4.5/5 Service 5/5, staff was I formative and friendly for my first time ordering! Thank you!!
[August 21, 8:50 PM] The price of the drinks are friendly. A large size drink cost around $4-$6, and you can add boba toppings for free. On top of that, they offer a BOGO 50% off deal during their Happy Hour (Monday-Friday, 4-7 PM). Make sure you ask for a stamp card! I forgot to ask for stamp card in my previous visits. The drink itself is decent for the cost. The brown sugar boba is chewy, and I love adding popping boba to go with it. The service is friendly and quick. Our drinks were ready after I took the photo. The interior is also very cute. They've got a backdrop for those instagram photos. The only downside I can think of is just the parking lot, sometimes it can be filthy.
Placed order via DoorDash for pick up. Drink was ready when I arrived. The place was cute inside but didnt spend much time in there since I was picking up on my break. Ordered the Matcha Boba Milk with brown sugar boba and oatmilk. The matcha flavor was ok. It could have used more matcha because once I mixed it with the rest of the drink the flavor became more faint than what I would have liked. It was faint at this point. The boba was pleasant. It was soft and chewy and I enjoyed the brown sugar. The drink was still sweet even after requesting 50% sugar so I would adjust accordingly if you like less sweet. I would realistically give it 3.5 stars. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't a standout matcha drink either.
Cute boba place with lots of decaf choices. Clean and cozy. Drinks were good, but boba was a little too chewy. Maybe because I came late. Still will go again. Would take a date here and take some instagram pics.
Craving boba. Ordered a crème brûlée matcha smoothie. Very smooth and light. Not overpowering at all. They have B for inspection?! . Eeekk. Parking lot is small but wasn't busy on a Monday at 530pm. Cute photo op up here as well.
We were on our way to dinner and was making a pitstop for boba, apparently we went to this south El Monte store instead of the one on Lower Azusa. Either way, still close to each other and most likely will be the same! We ordered a few drinks with the staff and looked around while we waited. Our drinks were ready super quick! I ordered a matcha boba milk tea, half sugar, no ice with boba. At first the color looked a bit off but if you mix it, it's green! I think they put brown sugar syrup on the container so it was just brown before you mix it. It was delicious! Unfortunately since it was night time and probably not busy because the plaza was a bit empty, the boba was mixed with chewy ones and hard ones. Still a great drink! I wanted to stay a bit as they have cute decorations and a photo shoot display inside that was very bright and colorful. They also had a table of cute plushies for sale as well as deserts at the counter. We had to get on our way to dinner so we didn't get to stay long.

The first drink taste like it's supposed to the other one tasted like a glass of milk. Sometimes depending on who is working the drinks can be inconsistent.
It's my first try, and I like it! The flavor and consistency were great. They were efficient as well. There's no tables there, so it's to-go only. They also have an area decorated with their store name in a neon light for photos. Definitely will come back to try other drinks
3 stars This is a small boba tea shop located in a strip mall. The interior is pretty cute & has limited seating. I only ordered a roasted oolong tea & I thought it was ok. It didn't really wow me, but it was still very refreshing for such a hot day.
We've been regulars at Hello Boba for a while. They're one of our go-to spots in the area. We've tried several items on their menu and all of them are great. We especially love getting their milk teas. They also have stamps cards, where you get a free drink (or discount) after 10. The shop itself has seats, but no tables. They have a mini shop in the front where you can browse/buy cute knick knacks. The parking lot has ample amount of space.
We wanted to like this place but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. The drinks tasted extremely sweet and watered down at the same time. The boba seemed harder than the ones in other boba establishments. There are so many other boba spots in the area so I would recommend you going there instead.

Cute little shop. Prices are better than others. Came here cuz I ordered food at Point Dume. My fave was the mojito, tasted just like one! The watermelon taste was faint though. Brown sugar milk tea was delicious! Free boba! Got the crystal boba in the mojito and regular boba in the brown sugar MT. You can adjust sweetness and ice! read more
They have Happy Hour on Monday - Friday from 4pm to 7pm for select drinks. Nice boba shop with some unique drinks. Their original mojito is good if you're looking for an alcohol free version with boba. Other than that, normal boba menu. Quick service from time you order till pick up. No table sittings but they do have a bunch for you to wait. read more

What's up: My coworkers and I were meeting up to cool down with some boba on this hot day! After stopping by a place that felt boiling inside (dead AC), we decided to skip out on that and come to the next place along our way. Hello Boba! Parking: Located in a corner lot, parking is shared among the nearby businesses; plenty of parking to choose from. Environment: Walking in, they had a table set up in the center selling cute goodies. Order counter is straight ahead and there is a long bench along the side for seating. Further back towards the restrooms, there is a small table with a couple of chairs. We were just in time for Happy Hour (Monday - Friday, 4 PM to 7 pm) where it's buy one, get one 50% off for select drinks. They also have a display case selling cake slices and macarons. Staff members were friendly and the drinks came out fairly quick. What was ordered: - Boba Thai Tea (boba was chewy but clumped together, not much flavor to the tea) Yay/Nay/Meh: Meh. I was a bit disappointed, but just happy that we were able to sit down and enjoy a cool drink. Credit cards are accepted. read more

I love coming to this boba shop! They always have a wide range of flavors and pretty consistently have new flavors in rotation. We ordered the original mojito, which comes with mint leaves inside; 2 nana-berry, the newer flavor which is basically a strawberry banana smoothie; and the butterfly lychee which is a butterfly tea that comes with lychee pieces included. Adding boba is free with any drink, a big plus as some other boba shops will charge you. Their teas always have a great, strong flavor. Their staff is always very nice and patient while you order! The inside is somewhat small, only 2 sets of long, cushioned benches and no tables. They also sell little knickknacks, like phone cases, buttons, and small plush items. read more

Shop, cute. Atmosphere & vibes, cute. Drinks, exceeded my expectations. Stopped by here for boba after lunch over the weekend. Didn't expect too much since we just picked a spot on the map close to where we had lunch. This place shares a plaza with other shops, so parking isn't an issue. There was no line when we got there, so we took our time looking over the menu. They have cute little trinkets on sale inside. We ended up ordering the Wintermelon Oolong Tea (75% sweet, light ice) and a Strawberry Matcha Latte. I enjoyed the Wintermelon Oolong Tea a lot and wish I had gotten a large. The Strawberry Matcha Latte was good too, but it was a miss for me. The matcha wasn't really that strong and there wasn't really any strawberry taste. Wintermelon Oolong Tea over Strawberry Matcha Latte here - definitely need to come back to try their other fruit teas. Also, their mascot/logo is cute as hell. read more
Was in the El Monte area and decided to try a new boba place. Founded Hello Boba and decided to give it a shot! Decided to try the Mango Green Tea with Boba 75% Sweetness. Interior decor looks great, they also sell some K-Pop stuff in the middle of the shop. Cashier was nice and vibing to Lil Wayne lol. Service was great and swift. Initially, first couple sips the tea tasted refreshing. After that, the mango syrup starts kicking in and eventually the drink tasted very sweet for me. Boba was decent as it was lacking the fresh honey flavor. I didn't even finished my drink because it was too sweet. So just a word of caution, maybe ask for 50% or lower sweetness if you're considering getting the Mango Green Tea. read more

Stopped by on Saturday, 04/29/23 for the first time. Very small place inside and limited seatings available. However, their drinks are tastily yummy. - 1 large Butterly Mango which comes with mango and lychee jelly (Light ice, 25% sweet, and added boba [free]) = $5.95 - 1 large 4Sea Cream Green Tea (light ice and 25% sweet) = $4.70 Loved the drinks! I will say that the Butterly Mango is still very sweet even though the sweetness level is just 25%. You also get a stamp card, typical boba place :) read more

The drinks here are pretty good. They also sell little cute items such as hand mirror, patches, pin, keychains etc. I got some patches for $3.50 and pins for $4.50. I got the peach fruity mojito. No adjustments. It was not too sweet and was a refreshing drink. The lychee fruity majito was good but a little too sweet for my liking. Maybe adjust it. My friends got butterfly mango refresher and jasmine green tea cheese foam 50% sweetness and they liked their drinks. read more
Was in the 626 area and wanted to quickly grab boba before heading on the freeway, so I decided to check Yelp and found Hello Boba. First things first, the parking lot was a bit sketch with some homeless people yelling and asking for money. Once I went inside, I was greeted by a younger gentlemen. He wasn't much help when it came to suggesting sweetness levels or on what drinks were good.. this was a bit of a red flag. If he doesn't even like the drinks, I knew I messed up lol. Decided to go with the mango mango and creme brûlée brown sugar milk tea without boba. The mango mango was so tart and tasted like a mango that wasn't ripe.. way too sour. The creme brulee brown sugar ended up having boba... after we said no boba. The drink was way too sweet, and worst of all, the boba was hard!! Hello boba, more like BYE BOBA. Sadly, I have to give this place one star, but if i could, i would give it a zero star. read more
Hello Boba is a decent milk tea spot that has a solid list of boba varieties from basic royal milk tea and brown sugar to a cinnamon horchata drink. We dropped by on a Saturday and picked up a brown sugar with 50% sugar and boba. Had the expected brown sugar mixed with regular milk tea flavor. The boba was definitely on the chewier end which may not be for everyone. Quick service. Small shop inside that sells iPhone cases and pins. Plenty of plaza parking. Monday to Fri there's one get one one 50% off. read more

Heard about this place for the first time from a co-worker who said he went there alot when he used to live in El Monte. Been wanting to go since I live the next city over and got the opportunity today. Place was small, there was a table with Hello Kitty merch and plushies displayed on it right when you walk in. Some were graduation themed, most likely because it's June. I was greeted, and then I ordered a honey green tea and milk tea with 25% sugar, both with no toppings. Drinks were great! If I'm in the area again, will definitely stop to try other flavors! read more

3.5 stars rounded up. I really wanted to like this place but my drink was just not as good as I expected. Got the Royal Milk Tea which is just the basic black milk tea. Milk tea was extremely thin and watery. It was hard to taste the tea flavor. Tea taste is there, just not a lot of it. Very underwhelming. Boba topping was cold and slightly sticking to each other. A little hard to chew--not soft at all. Considering they have boba as a free add-on topping, I thought they'd have enough turnover to have a fresher batch of boba. Maybe I came too early in the day? I ordered around 12 noon on a Sunday. Workers are nice and they sell lots of cute little trinkets on the side. read more

Hello, do you use real milk or coffee creamer in your milk tea?
We use real milk in all of our milk teas except for Taro Milk Tea, Lavender Earl Grey Milk Tea and Rose Milk Tea (in which we use non-dairy creamer).
Do you guys have dairy free milk teas?
Yes! Our Vanilla Earl Grey Milk Tea and Rose Milk Tea are both dairy-free.
