01/13/26 Saturday [3.5/5] Had this during a party with catering from Hello Boba. It was the Royal Milk Tea with less ice and boba pearls. The tea was a bit bland and the pearls were very hard. I don't think anyone finished their drinks. Perhaps the party hosts picked it up the day before. I'll have to go in person one day to give it a fair review, but for now, I give it a 3.5/5.
I'll be honest! Wasn't planning to come here at all but thanks to Google Map I typed in "boba nearby" and suggested that I try this place out. Let me tell you folks!!! EXCELLENT boba!!! I was served by an employee named Heaven and it's so ironic that the boba drink she had prepared for me was HEAVRN! The boba was so fresh and I ordered the Ube matcha drink with boba and egg pudding!!!! I was loving it so next time you're in the city of El Monte! Try out Hello Boba!!! Parking is not an issue because it's located in a small plaza with plenty of space.
Ok first time and most likely not the last time! We tried their special with pudding. I asked for no grass jelly, wife won't like that, a boba milk tea and a boba Thai tea. My daughter thought the boba milk tea, the tea flavors were too strong but I poured it out and added some milk and black sugar syrup that we have at home to lighten the tea flavor. The other two 5/5! This place definitely doesn't go light on their flavors! They also offer stamp card! Ambiance 4.5/5 cute place Cleanliness in lobby 5/5 Taste of beverages 4.5/5 Service 5/5, staff was I formative and friendly for my first time ordering! Thank you!!
[August 21, 8:50 PM] The price of the drinks are friendly. A large size drink cost around $4-$6, and you can add boba toppings for free. On top of that, they offer a BOGO 50% off deal during their Happy Hour (Monday-Friday, 4-7 PM). Make sure you ask for a stamp card! I forgot to ask for stamp card in my previous visits. The drink itself is decent for the cost. The brown sugar boba is chewy, and I love adding popping boba to go with it. The service is friendly and quick. Our drinks were ready after I took the photo. The interior is also very cute. They've got a backdrop for those instagram photos. The only downside I can think of is just the parking lot, sometimes it can be filthy.
Placed order via DoorDash for pick up. Drink was ready when I arrived. The place was cute inside but didnt spend much time in there since I was picking up on my break. Ordered the Matcha Boba Milk with brown sugar boba and oatmilk. The matcha flavor was ok. It could have used more matcha because once I mixed it with the rest of the drink the flavor became more faint than what I would have liked. It was faint at this point. The boba was pleasant. It was soft and chewy and I enjoyed the brown sugar. The drink was still sweet even after requesting 50% sugar so I would adjust accordingly if you like less sweet. I would realistically give it 3.5 stars. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't a standout matcha drink either.
Cute boba place with lots of decaf choices. Clean and cozy. Drinks were good, but boba was a little too chewy. Maybe because I came late. Still will go again. Would take a date here and take some instagram pics.
Craving boba. Ordered a crème brûlée matcha smoothie. Very smooth and light. Not overpowering at all. They have B for inspection?! . Eeekk. Parking lot is small but wasn't busy on a Monday at 530pm. Cute photo op up here as well.
We were on our way to dinner and was making a pitstop for boba, apparently we went to this south El Monte store instead of the one on Lower Azusa. Either way, still close to each other and most likely will be the same! We ordered a few drinks with the staff and looked around while we waited. Our drinks were ready super quick! I ordered a matcha boba milk tea, half sugar, no ice with boba. At first the color looked a bit off but if you mix it, it's green! I think they put brown sugar syrup on the container so it was just brown before you mix it. It was delicious! Unfortunately since it was night time and probably not busy because the plaza was a bit empty, the boba was mixed with chewy ones and hard ones. Still a great drink! I wanted to stay a bit as they have cute decorations and a photo shoot display inside that was very bright and colorful. They also had a table of cute plushies for sale as well as deserts at the counter. We had to get on our way to dinner so we didn't get to stay long.
I come here often and I usually like the service and drinks but today I went and ordered two drinks but they only made me one and had to reorder again. The first drink taste like it's supposed to the other one tasted like a glass of milk. Sometimes depending on who is working the drinks can be inconsistent.
It's my first try, and I like it! The flavor and consistency were great. They were efficient as well. There's no tables there, so it's to-go only. They also have an area decorated with their store name in a neon light for photos. Definitely will come back to try other drinks
3 stars This is a small boba tea shop located in a strip mall. The interior is pretty cute & has limited seating. I only ordered a roasted oolong tea & I thought it was ok. It didn't really wow me, but it was still very refreshing for such a hot day.
We've been regulars at Hello Boba for a while. They're one of our go-to spots in the area. We've tried several items on their menu and all of them are great. We especially love getting their milk teas. They also have stamps cards, where you get a free drink (or discount) after 10. The shop itself has seats, but no tables. They have a mini shop in the front where you can browse/buy cute knick knacks. The parking lot has ample amount of space.
We wanted to like this place but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. The drinks tasted extremely sweet and watered down at the same time. The boba seemed harder than the ones in other boba establishments. There are so many other boba spots in the area so I would recommend you going there instead.

The drinks are really good, I haven't tried the macarons yet but I'm sure they are super good! The service there is amazing, staff are kind and even the owner. The atmosphere is amazing, there is a photo booth and it's just so pretty I love what they did with the design and layout of this place! Definitely recommend visiting this place. read more
First time here. Definitely liked it. No Thai tea for me this time. I felt like having some sugar. I got the strawberry something. Can't remember. Service is always good here and they're fast! I was looking for a quick boba stop after a work meeting in El Monte. I quickly "Yelped it!" and found this cute boba stop. I called in for two bobas, Matcha Latte with Boba and Taro Milk Tea with Boba. Little did I know I would walk into a uniquely designed and adorable boba shop. Upon walking in, there is a little merchandise table in the entryway. I immediately thought...what a great idea this was! The merchandise table was loaded with cute knick knacks and goodies (like socks, keychains, and more). I grabbed two lavender boba socks for my friend and I to match. When I got to the cash register, I could see my boba was ready. I told the team member my name and they immediately reached for it. I paid for the socks and the boba and left in under 5 minutes. What a awesome shop! Not to mention, my Matcha Latte with Boba tasted great - boba was soft and plump and the sweetness was just right. My friend like her Taro Milk Tea with Boba as well. I'll definitely be back to take a closer look at the cute merchandise table and try more of their boba. read more
Happy hour for Milk Teas Mon-Fri 4-7pm Cute boba shop :3 Simple setup but effective. EXCELLENT pricing for flavored teas ($4 for a large w/ complimentary toppings) and $5 for milk teas after tax. I can get two large (22oz) milk teas w/ boba for under $10! Even Lollicup and Tapex is more than $10 now for two. I like how they sell random stuff on the middle and the front corner of the store, like fake Daiso stuff lol but cheaper. I bought some cat & penguin pens. Their drinks are not too bad (milk teas are decently okay, Oreo garden lacking flavors imo). Their boba can be quite soft sometimes. I like their passion fruit (real syrup, has seeds) oolong except it's sweet as fuck, like diabetes sweet. Get at least 50-75% if you're used to Taiwanese boba shop (typically not super sweet). Their mojito is quite good. It has a lemonade base and is caffeine-free. What makes this place 4.5 stars for me is the price, and the fact that you only need 7 stamps for a free drink. These two are a rarity in SGV already. I give it 5 for being a low-key boba shop. I hope they keep their prices low, which is the main reason why I come here. read more
Decent drinks at a good price for the SGV area. Drinks come with free topping of your choice. You can select from brown sugar boba, crystal boba, black & white boba or poppin boba. Ordered the mango mojito 50% sweet which is perfect with the crystal boba. Located inside a plaza so parking is easy. read more

Score: 8.5/10 Buzzwords: Delightfully New, Quick Service, Stamp Cards Found ourselves traveling through the El Monte and somehow the conversation of boba came up. Coming from MPK, I had really small expectations for any boba shops in the area but was pleasantly surprised. So much so that my girlfriend and I stopped by the next day to try their other drinks! Visit #1: Royal Milk Tea & Peach Tea w/ Boba - best Royal Milk tea I've had in months! - The Peach Tea was light and refreshing Visit #2: Mojito & Peach Tea w/ Boba ** - the mojito was alrighttt, and more of a "oh woah, they have this?" kinda novelty for me ** Upon our second visit, we pulled up into a drug deal in broad daylight, which wasn't the greatest 2nd experience but... perhaps that's more location relevant? Overall, the service here is lightning quick, the boba has great texture to it, and it's surprisingly inexpensive in comparison to their peers. read more

Friendly staff and one of the fastest services I've seen. The strawberry matcha latte (with added boba) is a must try. When it's mixed, it's not too sweet, and there is a good helping of actual strawberries! Wish they printed their logo onto the cups - the kiwi bird would have been cute to photograph. Enjoyed a delicious afternoon sip of boba at Hello Boba. They're a new-ish boba shop in El Monte and has plenty of delicious drink flavors on their menu! I picked the Vanilla Earl Grey Milk Tea and really enjoyed it. The tea and milk ratio was nicely balanced. Some places don't get it right which makes the flavor less tasty, but Hello Boba hits the spot. I've also tried the Butterfly Mango and it was a refreshing blend with a pretty layer. The outside is pretty hard to see and in a secluded area. The drinks though is where it's at. They have a unique variety of drinks. I tried the strawberry mojito and the butterfly lychee and wow they both were refreshing. You can probably ask for 0 or 25% sweetness because it is naturally sweet. Prices are pretty reasonable and one thing that's notable is that you can add on boba... for free!?!! Definitely a gem in El Monte and I'll be back for sure! read more
Hello Boba is located in a small strip mall, right next to Dim Sum King with plenty of parking. My husband and I came here on a Friday evening, right around 6 pm to take advantage of their happy hour (Monday- Friday, 4- 7 pm: buy 1 get one drink free. Special only applies to boba Thai tea and royal milk tea). When we came in, we were greeted by a friendly employee behind the counter. We ended up purchasing: Royal Milk Tea (24 oz), $4.75 prior to tax- I ordered this drink to be made with 50% sweetener and no ice. What makes this tea house unique is that boba automatically comes with all the tea drinks. So I ended up picking the black and white boba, which is brown sugar boba and crystal boba. I thought the milk tea was smooth and had a good flavor. I think 50% sweetness is the perfect amount for me since I do not my drinks too sweet. But I didn't like the crystal boba as much. I didn't really like the texture and felt it didn't add much flavor. I probably would just go with regular boba in the future. Thai Milk Tea (24 oz), $4.75 prior to tax- My husband ordered this drink to also be made with 50% sweetener and no ice. My husband picked brown sugar boba with his drink. I had some of his drink and thought it was pretty good at the sweetness level and would also consider this drink in the future. ---------------------- (Total= $4.75 after special buy 1 get 1 free beverage) Wait time for our drinks was about 5-6 minutes, which was not too long at all. Service was friendly. The happy hour drink special is definitely a good deal and will definitely be back here again in the near future. read more

Boba craving satisfied! We were making a couple pit stops on our way out of town for a little New Year's weekend road trip. We hadn't planned on stopping for boba, but we were waiting for our dim sum next door and couldn't ignore the neon penguin calling us in. The store is super cute! IG worthy decor, bright lighting, and adorable boba merch. And did I mention Happy Hour? BOGO Thai Tea or Royal Milk Tea between 4p-7p Monday through Friday. Winning! Stopped by Hello Boba in El Monte and it was a fantastic experience! The baristas were not only funny and friendly but also incredibly efficient. Despite a bit of a rush, our drinks were ready almost instantly after we paid--a rarity! I'm already planning my next visit to try the Horchata Cinnamon Crumbs and Oreo Creme Brulee. This is a little boba place located in a small plaza in El Monte. I would go next door all the time for dim sum and after soo many visits, decided to check this place out! Super cute decor and their cup sleeves. I wasn't feeling a milk tea and was in a mood for something refreshing. Went with their mango mango and it was so good! i like the bits of mango I had in it and a splash of tajin they threw into the drink. Honestly, if you like mango then you'll like this drink! I'd have to come back to try some of their other stuff , especially the milk tea. They had ran out of boba when I went so I'll have to come and try that too. I hear they have BOGO so I need to come during this time to check out the other items on the mango! read more
Wow! Their roasted sea cream oolong is amazing! I gotta give it a 5 star, the oolong tea was amazing and flavorful and the sea cream was very dense and a little sticky in texture. I really enjoyed my drink. The butterfly lychee was also very refreshing and flavorful! I definitely recommend this place to any tea lover! Prices are reasonable. Parking is in a decent size plaza. There's not really seating there, just booths against the wall to sit while you wait for your order. They also have a small gift section with trinkets for sale. read more
"Hello Happiness. You deserve some boba." Hands down the most heartwarming, wholesome slogan I've seen at a boba place. Makes for great photos too. I like that the cafe mascot is a kiwi too, very cute. They had a short animation playing on a tablet with the kiwis. Cute to watch. We came during their Happy Hour where it was BOGO free Thai tea or Royal Milk tea. What's really unique about Hello Boba is that you can either purchase or save up stamp cards to exchange for neat merchandise. They had boba and other themed earrings, pins, keychain/lanyards, and even purses! The fact that you can choose either option to redeem these items is great. I gave my friend the BOGO Royal Milk tea but she said she liked it. I got the: 1) Thai tea: -Creamy, tasty Thai tea as my Thai tea standards go. -The flavor isn't too strong and it isn't too milky either. -Good idea to get it with the Happy Hour deal. 2) Mango Mojito: -Super refreshing! Even after all the ice melted. -Comes with real mint inside. -Nice sweet mango flavor with slight mintiness. It's really neat that their fruity teas are around $3. That's so rare at boba places these days. Even rarer is that a lot of their boba topping options are free. Definitely worth it to stop by here. Such a cute hidden gem! The moment we walked in, my attention snapped to the merchandise on the table next to the entrance. For once I was glad the line was being held up by someone because I was able to browse through their cute stuff! They had very cute milk purses and a good chunk of affordable boba merch next to it! I ended up snagging some pins. The neatest thing of all is that you can get these things for free with a specific amount of stamp cards so that's a pretty good motivation for people who go ham with stamp cards. I only tried their royal milk tea because of their awesome happy hour deal, and it was great! Also bonus for people who like toppings: A good chunk of their toppings that you'd normally have to pay extra for in other boba places are free here! read more

This shop is located in a small plaza in El Monte. The parking lot is fairly small but parking wasn't bad. The store is setup with COVID safety in mind with markers and barriers. I felt quite safe ordering from here. I got the strawberry matcha latte. It's unique. There's popping boba and chopped strawberries in the drink. The sourness is a good balance with the matcha but personally I still prefer a plain matcha latte with regular boba but it's not bad. If you go on a weeknight they have a happy hour deal. read more

Wanted to grab some boba on the way home, and Hello Boba caught our eye with it's cute little kiwi bird logo. The shop itself is cute and clean with a tiny section of boba-themed goodies that you can buy like keychains, AirPod cases, etc. There was a lot of tasty-sounding drinks on the menu, but wanted to get something fruity and refreshing. I ordered a Passionfruit Green Tea for myself with 50% sweetness from the worker's recommendation. I know sometimes for fruity drinks, you gotta tone down the sweetness levels a lot otherwise you get a sugar overload. At first I was going to go with 75%, but so glad I went with 50% instead. It was still a little on the sweeter side, but not undrinkable. I did enjoy the refreshing, tart-y flavor of the passionfruit though! I forgot to mention the boba comes FREE with your drink! So many places charge so much now for toppings, so it was nice to see this was include and the boba was sooo soft and yummy. Overall, Hello Boba is cute and would come back! They had some flavors that I wanted to try on a next visit (looking at you - Lavender Earl Grey Milk Tea!!), so would recommend this place. :) read more

Pretty chill little boba spot in the area. I have passed by their shop a few times, while picking up some Dim Sum next door at 'Dim Sum King' (see my Yelp review). And I am glad I made a stop here. They are definitely practicing social distancing during Covid-19, with all orders for take-out only. They are pretty well staffed and friendly. I tried their Taro Milk tea. Ordered the larger sized one and they asked if I wanted Boba. Being so used to paying al la carte for Boba at other places, I passed. But then the cashier was like, "Oh, don't worry, the boba is free." Heeeeeey! Whaaaaat? Free boba?! You got a new customer here! My Boba drink came to $4.50 including tax. They also gave me one of their stamp cards for future visits. Buy 8 drinks and your next drink is free! Happy to have found a new, cool Boba place! read more

Ordered peach oolong tea today. It would have been 5 stars if I can taste the oolong tea. The peach syrup overpowered the taste of oolong. Don't get it wrong, the drink was good. For such hot weather, it was cold enough which was a plus. Other places go stingy on the ice and the tea itself isn't cold enough. I dislike that. Great price for the size. Also, some of the toppings are free!!! I think they have a happy hour going on from Monday thru Friday from 4pm to 6pm, you can buy one boba milk tea and get one free. Great Service! I stop by every here and there and I am always so satisfied with the service and drinks! I unfortunately didn't get the name of the young girl who helped me today but she was the best! She was so kind and so helpful. I always forget my stamp cards but the employees always ask me if I'd like a new one! Surprisingly this place is really good for being located in El Monte!! I am so excited to finally found a good & decent boba place in this city. Yay hopefully El Monte continues to get businesses as good as this! They currently serve happy hour 4-7 for BOGO milk and Thai teas! Their bobas are free, sweet, soft and chewy! (I got the brown sugar boba) Pros: -first four types of boba is free! (A lot of places charge 50 cents now) -BOGO happy hour -teas are good! -they added lavender to my earl grey tea (nice touch) -they offer stamp cards -good and fast service -decent prices Cons: -Hmm can't think of any yet! read more

Hello, do you use real milk or coffee creamer in your milk tea?
We use real milk in all of our milk teas except for Taro Milk Tea, Lavender Earl Grey Milk Tea and Rose Milk Tea (in which we use non-dairy creamer).
Do you guys have dairy free milk teas?
Yes! Our Vanilla Earl Grey Milk Tea and Rose Milk Tea are both dairy-free.
