01/13/26 Saturday [3.5/5] Had this during a party with catering from Hello Boba. It was the Royal Milk Tea with less ice and boba pearls. The tea was a bit bland and the pearls were very hard. I don't think anyone finished their drinks. Perhaps the party hosts picked it up the day before. I'll have to go in person one day to give it a fair review, but for now, I give it a 3.5/5.
I'll be honest! Wasn't planning to come here at all but thanks to Google Map I typed in "boba nearby" and suggested that I try this place out. Let me tell you folks!!! EXCELLENT boba!!! I was served by an employee named Heaven and it's so ironic that the boba drink she had prepared for me was HEAVRN! The boba was so fresh and I ordered the Ube matcha drink with boba and egg pudding!!!! I was loving it so next time you're in the city of El Monte! Try out Hello Boba!!! Parking is not an issue because it's located in a small plaza with plenty of space.
Ok first time and most likely not the last time! We tried their special with pudding. I asked for no grass jelly, wife won't like that, a boba milk tea and a boba Thai tea. My daughter thought the boba milk tea, the tea flavors were too strong but I poured it out and added some milk and black sugar syrup that we have at home to lighten the tea flavor. The other two 5/5! This place definitely doesn't go light on their flavors! They also offer stamp card! Ambiance 4.5/5 cute place Cleanliness in lobby 5/5 Taste of beverages 4.5/5 Service 5/5, staff was I formative and friendly for my first time ordering! Thank you!!
[August 21, 8:50 PM] The price of the drinks are friendly. A large size drink cost around $4-$6, and you can add boba toppings for free. On top of that, they offer a BOGO 50% off deal during their Happy Hour (Monday-Friday, 4-7 PM). Make sure you ask for a stamp card! I forgot to ask for stamp card in my previous visits. The drink itself is decent for the cost. The brown sugar boba is chewy, and I love adding popping boba to go with it. The service is friendly and quick. Our drinks were ready after I took the photo. The interior is also very cute. They've got a backdrop for those instagram photos. The only downside I can think of is just the parking lot, sometimes it can be filthy.
Placed order via DoorDash for pick up. Drink was ready when I arrived. The place was cute inside but didnt spend much time in there since I was picking up on my break. Ordered the Matcha Boba Milk with brown sugar boba and oatmilk. The matcha flavor was ok. It could have used more matcha because once I mixed it with the rest of the drink the flavor became more faint than what I would have liked. It was faint at this point. The boba was pleasant. It was soft and chewy and I enjoyed the brown sugar. The drink was still sweet even after requesting 50% sugar so I would adjust accordingly if you like less sweet. I would realistically give it 3.5 stars. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't a standout matcha drink either.
Cute boba place with lots of decaf choices. Clean and cozy. Drinks were good, but boba was a little too chewy. Maybe because I came late. Still will go again. Would take a date here and take some instagram pics.
Craving boba. Ordered a crème brûlée matcha smoothie. Very smooth and light. Not overpowering at all. They have B for inspection?! . Eeekk. Parking lot is small but wasn't busy on a Monday at 530pm. Cute photo op up here as well.
We were on our way to dinner and was making a pitstop for boba, apparently we went to this south El Monte store instead of the one on Lower Azusa. Either way, still close to each other and most likely will be the same! We ordered a few drinks with the staff and looked around while we waited. Our drinks were ready super quick! I ordered a matcha boba milk tea, half sugar, no ice with boba. At first the color looked a bit off but if you mix it, it's green! I think they put brown sugar syrup on the container so it was just brown before you mix it. It was delicious! Unfortunately since it was night time and probably not busy because the plaza was a bit empty, the boba was mixed with chewy ones and hard ones. Still a great drink! I wanted to stay a bit as they have cute decorations and a photo shoot display inside that was very bright and colorful. They also had a table of cute plushies for sale as well as deserts at the counter. We had to get on our way to dinner so we didn't get to stay long.
I come here often and I usually like the service and drinks but today I went and ordered two drinks but they only made me one and had to reorder again. The first drink taste like it's supposed to the other one tasted like a glass of milk. Sometimes depending on who is working the drinks can be inconsistent.
It's my first try, and I like it! The flavor and consistency were great. They were efficient as well. There's no tables there, so it's to-go only. They also have an area decorated with their store name in a neon light for photos. Definitely will come back to try other drinks
3 stars This is a small boba tea shop located in a strip mall. The interior is pretty cute & has limited seating. I only ordered a roasted oolong tea & I thought it was ok. It didn't really wow me, but it was still very refreshing for such a hot day.
We've been regulars at Hello Boba for a while. They're one of our go-to spots in the area. We've tried several items on their menu and all of them are great. We especially love getting their milk teas. They also have stamps cards, where you get a free drink (or discount) after 10. The shop itself has seats, but no tables. They have a mini shop in the front where you can browse/buy cute knick knacks. The parking lot has ample amount of space.
We wanted to like this place but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. The drinks tasted extremely sweet and watered down at the same time. The boba seemed harder than the ones in other boba establishments. There are so many other boba spots in the area so I would recommend you going there instead.

Sweet little boba shop located in El Monte. My husband ordered the Watermelon Mojito while I ordered the the Butterfly Mango. Honestly, I don't even remember the Butterfly Mango. It was so ordinary that I forgot about it. But my husband's drink on the other hand, was delicious! When he said he was going to order the Watermelon Mojito, I told him WTF who orders that at a boba place?!?!? I said that's stupid.... BOY....was I wrong. We got our drinks, it was then I realized....I messed up. Imagine having the worst day where nothing goes right and everything is annoying. One sip from a magical Watermelon Mojito washes away all the pain and regret of the day, bringing you back to harmony and balance. Yeah ... it's kinda like THAT. read more
I was in the area, so I decided to try this place. They have happy hour from 4-7, which makes their royal milk tea & thai tea buy one get one free. Since my friend and I didn't go during that time period, I gave the mango mojito a shot. My drink was pretty sour - this is why I rarely get mango drinks. The royal milk tea was average. If I come back, I'll probably try another mojito flavor. The plus is that they have free toppings! Im a sucker for crystal boba so that was exciting. Nice little boba spot that open during the pandemic! They have markings for social distancing and some hand sanitizer at the side of the register if you need some. I ordered some drinks through online ordering option on yelp, then drove down to pick them up. Parking lot seems spacious, not sure what it's like when things "normalize" but for now parking was easy. I ordered 6 drinks, all were made exactly how I placed the order. The thing different was the free boba option on their drinks. Normally places would charge for the added topping, but their menu shows free. Everyone I got the drinks for liked their drinks. Boba had a nice chew to it. I was concerned since boba isn't as good when they aren't chewy. My sister got regular sweetness on her taro milk tea and she said it was a little sweet for her liking; but you can adjust sweetness here so that's a plus if you need to change it up! The craving for boba is real! I may have an addiction. I saw a pic of the Butterfly Mango on FB and fell in love with the colors! Luckily, it tastes great and is super refreshing, too! We were in the area and I was having the cravings! We came by during happy hour where there are 4 items that are BOGO 50% Off! On Mondays - Fridays from 4-7 pm. Boba Thai Tea - the tea itself was a bit off from the usual flavor and a tad watered down. Definitely go with the other drinks. Butterfly Mango - love the layers of colors, definitely for the 'gram. It's very refreshing with the Mango tea flavor and lychee and Mango jelly. Could have went with 50% sugar or wait til all the ice melts. It was a bit sweet for the first few sips. Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea - the traditional milk tea with boba, very delicious. The bobas were perfectly chewy and great sweetness. The shop itself is super cute and it smells great when you walk in! Smells like tea! Service was quick and friendly. There was a short wait for the drinks, but urt wasn't bad. Parking was easy as they share a lot in the plaza. They have some cute merch, even boba socks! Love it! Recommended! read more

Decided to go on a late night boba run with my boyfriend and eventually found this place! Once we entered the store, we were greeted by a kind and friendly employee. He was incredibly helpful and had great energy when he was talking to us. I decided to buy the Horchata smoothie and it was very tasty and delicious! The consistency was great and the boba was not only free, but tasted great! Also it was even more impressive considering that we went close to their closing time and the boba was still fresh. Overall, this place is adorable, has a great atmosphere and vibe, delicious drinks, and an amazing experience that was enhanced by the A1 customer service! Hello Boba has a super cute asthetic and serves up solid drinks. It's located in a little strip mall, and to be honest it looks kind of out of place. Like if you put the most instagrammable Tokyo beauty store in the middle of suburban LA. But that's exactly what I love about Hello Boba. It's unmistakably hip and uses high-quality ingredients. I tried the matcha, and I would say it's on par with the best places in LA. Is it a boba revelation? No. But it fits the bill, hits the spot, and will make it onto your 'gram for sure. read more

I'm surprised a boba shop opened up here because it's located in a small plaza and it seems out of place since everything around it is more outdated. Inside is nicely decorated and they sell some cute things as well. I ordered their Peach Green Tea and it was surprisingly good. It was sweet and refreshing. I wish I got the bigger size. Their Jasmine Milk Tea was less impressive although if you do get it I would recommend 75% sweetness since their drinks are on the sweeter side. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way for it but I would come back since I'm in the area sometimes and it gets my boba fix in. I'd definitely want to give their other drinks a try. read more

It was my first time visiting since I was in the area. I really like the aesthetics of the shop and their drinks. I decided to order a strawberry matcha latte with oatmilk and boba since that seemed to be a favorite amongst the Yelp reviewers. However, since I've tried this same drink at many other boba shops, I would say that it is just okay from here. I definitely wouldn't mind visiting again and trying their milk teas since the consistency of their boba was cooked nicely. Also, I see that they do offer a Buy One get one Half off specifically for the drinks listed, which is a pretty nice deal. read more

It's the third time ordering here and we love their drinks . Teas, boba milk tea, slushes. All great Flavor. We order ours with less sweet (25%), I don't know what regular is like. It's perfect for us. The reason for taking off a star is the mango slush has the Tajín on it like the chamango and it's not stated on the description. The first time I ordered it and I thought it was a mistake , but I drank it anyways. Second time ordering it , still has it. I crave the mango flavor without tajin. Since the item description doesn't have it I didn't know I had to write in comments (I get it delivered due to disability unable to drive) read more

This review is based on my first time experience. This is a small boba shop, but I like how they added a hand sanitizing station in front for customers and kept the door open. A menu is stick onto the glass, so customers can see what they want before walking in. There was no problem with service and my drinks were made pretty quickly. Their regular milk tea tastes like hong kong rich milk tea, and I did not adjust my sweetness but the taste came out just fine! The brown sugar boba is chewy and soft, but the crystal boba was a bit hard and could be cooked more longer. Other than that, I'll come back to try other drinks :-) read more

This place is definitely underrated for sure and isn't talked about enough! I really enjoyed their drinks and their cups are cute too! The workers were really friendly and I will definitely visit again someday. The boba shop is surrounded with other shops so it may be hard to spot at first. read more

This place is quick, friendly, and has all the normal options with a few things we've never seen before. My fiancé ISNT crazy about boba, but he LOVED the strawberry slush. If you like the Trader Joe's strawberry fruit popsicles...it tastes very similar. I got a oolong tea with the sea cream topping at 50% sweetness, which is usually topped with salt but this one was just sweet. Very cute boba shop in El Monte that carries unique line of mojito drinks. Unfortunately, our drinks came out incorrect - we asked for less sweet and all of the drinks came out full sweet. We in a rush so found out when we were on the freeway already. Luckily I was able to dilute my mango mojito at home and got even more value in my drink!! read more

This place has some of the cutest cups I have ever seen! Unfortunately, those cute bear lids keps popping off every time I tried to pick up the cup. The horchata drink was absolutely delicious. I would come again just for this drink! The pina colada could have used a bit more flavor because it ended up tasting a bit watery. My friend got the chamango and said it was good too though. Hello Boba is in the plaza at the corner of Garvey and Peck. The interior is adorable and their mascot is a kiwi! They have select items on their menu, so don't go expecting a huge variety. We ordered the Strawberry Matcha and Butterfly Mango, which has mango and lychee jelly. Both drinks were gorgeous and tasty, but there was too little matcha and too much milk in the Strawberry Matcha. read more

Best customer service! Staff is friendly and willing to answer questions about the menu. I have a niece with Type 1 Diabetes which requires to ask the amount of sugar, ingredients, and number of carbohydrates. Staff including the owner were extremely helpful and provided the information needed to adjust her insulin intake. The owner shared the food labels of the product and weigh the proper amount of boba per serving size. Highly recommend!!! :) read more

I went less than a month ago and they do! However, the seating is limited. I believe they had two or three tables.
Hello, do you use real milk or coffee creamer in your milk tea?
We use real milk in all of our milk teas except for Taro Milk Tea, Lavender Earl Grey Milk Tea and Rose Milk Tea (in which we use non-dairy creamer).
Do you guys have dairy free milk teas?
Yes! Our Vanilla Earl Grey Milk Tea and Rose Milk Tea are both dairy-free.
