Durian and taro slush
Mimi P.

The craves kicked in and had to get some boba! We got the durian and taro slush. I've never tried the durian smoothie before and it honestly wasn't too bad! The taro was refreshing too. I'll definitely try one of their signature drinks next time!

So good

Still my favorite place to go to! It says 28 check ins, but I'm sure it's more like 100. Best options! Great staff. Great pricing. Great quality. Clean and welcoming ambiance. What more can a girl ask for!!? But to be honest, it's my fiancé... he's obsessed with this place! He's happy he joined the reward program though. I think it's very $100 you spend, you get a free drink? Not too shabby. However.. I do not have any recommendations, as you should try everything!!

Smashed Avocado and Durian

Came here for the first time and ordered the smashed avocado and durian smoothie and it was delicious. Not overly sweet. Love that they use fresh fruit instead of powder. Service was good and the drinks came out fast. The machines were a bit noisy so I wouldn't recommend sitting there for too long. I'd definitely be back to try the other drinks on the menu when I'm in the area.

Love their desserts, tofu, sesame and pandan flavors. Buy 10 get 1 free for $30, Since it tastes food, I totally think is worth it They will give you additional syrup if you have sweeter taste.

Stopped by since we saw their specialty drinks on yelp. First off, it's a pretty small shop. We were the only customers when we arrived at 6 pm on Friday. We ended up getting the smashed avocado and durian signature drink. This drink was bomb, everything was made fresh, both the durian and avocado were fresh. It's uncommon to see a tea house sell fresh durian and this place does it right. The flavors worked well together even though I thought it wouldn't. It's a bit pricey at like $8 something but that's not too bad since it was almost like a dessert rather than just a drink. Not too sure about the other drinks but the signature drinks definitely hit the spot. Worth trying out forsure! Parking - They got a 20 minute parking lot right in front, and plenty of street parking nearby.

Came in on a sunday afternoon and there was no line, but they did take a long time to make one drink and there were 2 girls, the drinks were fine but not impressive, but it is impressive with the wait time because it shouldnt have took that long. Okay experiences but I won't be coming back

Firefighter appreciation!

I really like this place! And so does my dad, who is typically displeased by most boba drinks, so that says a lot when he told me a variation of "both drinks were good, I think this is the best place so far" (and totally caught me off guard). Mom also thought the drinks were tasty, and she also can be kinda picky. Initially I thought the menu was limited, but what we ordered meshed well with our palettes: - Smashed Avocado and Durian $8.25, subbed the rainbow jelly for crystal boba. I'm not sure what the white swirl was on top; I had thought it was whipped cream but thankfully it wasn't. Maybe a sort of sorbet? It was kinda icey and subtle in flavor and mixed well with the creaminess of both the avocado and durian. - Pandan Mung Bean $5.5, half sweet: strong flavor, but not too sweet. I think this can pair well with boba or pudding. Place was well decorated, and def gave homey "neighbors", shop on the block vibes. Empty lot for a Sunday around 5pm. Appreciated the sign that recognized the service of our firefighters after recent events. Will definitely come back!

Sea Salt Cream Milk Coffee, Sea Salt Matcha Milk Tea

Neighbors Tea House is located in a small plaza off of Rosemead Blvd and Lawrence Ave. it has entrances on both streets and a small amount of parking. Inside the shop, it was VERY loud. They were running a blender the entire time, though I did not see anyone order a blended drink or a smoothie. There is a small amount of seating, and a partially done flower wall. The drinks themselves were just okay. The Sea Salt topped coffee had a very bitter end note and the Matcha was grassy and sweet. I'm not sure we'd be back with how many cafes are in SGV, but I'm glad we tried this shop.

Tropical Fruit Tea & Pandan Mung Bean
Brenda Y.

The store is nicely decorated. There is a good variety of drinks and has authentic Vietnamese drinks. The workers explained what the drinks were and were accommodating to any adjustments of the drinks. The sweetness of the drinks were adjusted perfectly. Tropical Fruit Tea 4/5: the sweetness level was perfectly adjusted, good assortment of fruits, but the boba was a bit hard Pandan Mung Bean 4/5: thicker and milkier drink, good sweetness, strong mung bean flavor

Sugar cane and mango grapefruit green tea with honey boba

First time visiting, friendly quick service, great drinks with indoor seating with 4-5 small tables. I enjoyed the sugarcane drink, not too sweet & very refreshing. My husband enjoyed the mango grapefruit green tea. The mango bits were underrip and a little hard, but the honey boba was great, soft and sweet.

Wanted to try this place with my mom because her friends told her it was good. We got the smashed avocado durian and coco taro. The coco taro was very thick and creamy, but very light..little to no flavor, and no adjustments. The smashed avocado with durian had the right amount of sweetness, perfect if you're a durian lover! The service was friendly and quick.

Boba bar setup

Great service, great drinks, and great value! In preparation for Teacher Appreciation week, Neighbors Tea House delivered! I was looking to setup a boba bar for our teachers and staff. Stacy was able to help me pick out flavors that everyone would enjoy - milk tea, Thai tea, and tropical fruit tea. Along with honey boba and lychee jelly. I ordered some smaller cups and Neighbors gave me some cute stickers to tie it all together. This was our 3rd time ordering from Neighbors for teacher appreciation and I will be back again next year!

Smashed Avocado and Durian

I gave this place a try since my colleague raved about it and not many places offer durian which I love. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. When you walk into the shop located in a small plaza across the street from InNOut and Jack in the Box, it's very small and extremely hot during the summer heat. Felt like they only had a fan on, the day I visited was about 89 degrees outside. It's almost impossible to sit down to enjoy, if you're a grab and go person this might work for you. They have 1 aesthetic faux flower wall for photo ops. Smashed Avocado and Durian- could have been better and wasn't great. Wasn't too sweet which was a plus. They didn't smash the avocado enough and there were many huge chucks that were the width of apprx 3 inches. The avocado didn't seem ripe enough either, extremely firm and rubbery. The milk slush portion of the drink was more icy than slush. There wasn't much durian either, you can barely taste it. Jasmine Green Milk Tea- was delightful, I didn't adjust anything to it and original sweetness wasn't to sweet.

I particularly enjoyed the ambiance of the outdoor porch, with fresh plants all around, inside and out on the periphery. Sitting on the far left corner by the garden, with the antique pickup truck just out of the corner of my left eye. And, I think it's rosemary or floral herb that I smell! It came with a cup of salad on the side which was refreshing with the tangy vinaigrette dressing. I liked the sautéed mushrooms and spinach with their good seasoning. I also ordered their mixed berries sweet crepe. I didn't like this one at all because the crepe was not soft and it was like a thick layer as a bread dough. The smell of this crepe was not pleasant either. It was not good. Not recommend their crepe. On the other hand, the French toast was good with boriche bread. It tasted good with a balance of sweet and buttery. Added eggs and bacons for combo. Great portion for around $20. Berries, fruits, and salads tasted fresh here. Pistachio croissant was okay with flaky and crispy layers. It also had a pistachio cream filling inside. Not too sweet and it was good. But I think it would be better if it was warmed. I think the portion sizes were good for a brunch. Nice chairs and tables inside to try to create the feel of a cafe in Paris.
