I arrived at Neighbors Tea House (Rosemead) on Monday (around 11:28AM). There's a cramped, busy parking lot. And there's nearby neighborhood parking. Luckily, I quickly found a parking spot. Staff is welcoming and professional. Staff (receipt says Lou) worked diligently. My drink took four minutes and 34 seconds. As mentioned, I enjoyed the Smashed Avocado and Durian ($8.75). The drink tasted like fresh avocado and vanilla custard. It's not too sweet; rather, the blend tasted natural and tropical. It's refreshing. YUM! On ambiance, Neighbors Tea House (Rosemead) felt a little uncomfortable. The air was warm, and I had to occasionally wipe away sweat from my forehead. Staff eventually turned up the ventilation, but the place was warm and stuffy. On the positive note, there's utility at Neighbors Tea House (Rosemead). The location had customer internet with password; details are displayed near the register. There's also one electrical outlet, and there's a gender neutral restroom. The location is small with its five tables. I enjoyed the light, upbeat music. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Neighbors Tea House (Rosemead). This is still my favorite place to go to! I wished there were multiple locations (so sad when their Rowland Heights location closed). It just makes it more special when I can venture out to Rosemead. This place has great pricing - very fair! It is clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and prompt. I love seeing Hailey (the owner). She always make time for a quick chat. All the drinks are awesome! But if I have to choose my favorite drinks, they are Jasmine Milk Tea with Honey or Crystal Boba and Smashed Avocado & Durian with Rainbow Jelly. You have to try it to understand how amazing this drink is. There is no way to better describe it. It is just that good! Of course you have to love durian! I never knew durian would taste good with avocado but it DOES! This is such a unique drink, and there is no other place that makes it. There are other drinks that are unique to this place only. Local Vietnamese boba/drink spot! Neighbors is one of the best in the city. They are known for their smashed avocado and durian - but my girlfriend and I tend to opt for just smashed avocado. It's made with condense milk and is more of a dessert than a drink, but let me tell you that Neighbor does it better than anyone else! They have the freshest and most delicious avocados ever. This is a MUST TRY! Their service is really attentive and kind. Most of their workers are Viet and they tend to play Viet music. Cute little shop! The creamy avocado paired well with the the durian. It's not overly sweet but the fruit and jelly are nice pops of flavor. It takes a while to come out tho so be aware of that. There's a lot of components to it and they get busy. It's also loud because of the blending, so not a great place to stay at. Just get in and out! Delicious! I can't believe I waited so long to try out this place. My sister said she tried it one day and enjoyed it so much. We got the avocado with durian and cocotaro. We ended up getting the smashed avocado and durian signature drink. This drink was bomb, everything was made fresh, both the durian and avocado were fresh. It's uncommon to see a tea house sell fresh durian and this place does it right. The flavors worked well together even though I thought it wouldn't. It's a bit pricey at like $8 something but that's not too bad since it was almost like a dessert rather than just a drink. And so does my dad, who is typically displeased by most boba drinks, so that says a lot when he told me a variation of "both drinks were good, I think this is the best place so far" (and totally caught me off guard). They were running a blender the entire time, though I did not see anyone order a blended drink or a smoothie. There is a small amount of seating, and a partially done flower wall. The drinks themselves were just okay. The Sea Salt topped coffee had a very bitter end note and the Matcha was grassy and sweet. I have lived in the 626 area for quite some time now. I have recently discovered this Boba shop when my niece really wanted to try their rose milk tea. It's nestled right by a car shop on Rosemead Boulevard. It's also near Rosemead High School and an In N Out. Parking lot is a little small, however, there is street parking. Upon arrival, the store is very well kept and clean. Staff members are quick to get your drink ordered and prepare prepared for you in a timely fashion. When you walk into the shop located in a small plaza across the street from InNOut and Jack in the Box, it's very small and extremely hot during the summer heat. They didn't smash the avocado enough and there were many huge chucks that were the width of apprx 3 inches. The avocado didn't seem ripe enough either, extremely firm and rubbery.
