All drinks are non dairy except for the Thai drink, or so I was told. I got the AMT (almond milk tea)- 15% sweet with the the pudding and the grass jelly that was made so silky soft. The AMT had the right amount everything- not too creamy but the almond profile was very balanced. I'd get this drink again. This is a great spot to hang out with friends and family or to study. There's about seven groups of tables that can be connected or separated depending on group size. Gotcha is not on Target side or by where all the food is at. I was in the plaza for other errands and wanted to try this boba place. This store is a bit hidden at the very end but they offer a wide assortment of classic drinks and yogurt drinks. I have been wanting to get a yogurt drink for a while so I decided to go with the Purple Rice Yogurt drink here. They have a kiosk for self ordering which is convenient. I ordered the drink 25% sugar to keep the yogurt not filled with sugar. And I chose to upgrade to large. They also some claw machines in the corner and a good amount of tables to sit and chat with friends or do some work. It was pretty quiet when I came since it was in the evening on a weekday. There was only one girl working on the drinks so it took around 10 minutes for my drink to be ready- wasn't too bad. The drink is nicely blended with yogurt and purple rice. Since I did 25% sugar it was a good tart yogurt flavor with not overwhelming sugar. They also blended it well so that it was a thicker texture instead of watery like another place I tried. My only complaint was that there wasn't that much purple rice, but it could be because they blended it more with the yogurt? But overall I enjoyed the drink and I think this is worth for the cup size and price; not many places sell for this price. I recommend their yogurt drink and their other drinks look good too. Gotcha tea is a cute small cafe, I wanted to go for the matcha. They were a little busy, it can get crowded quick, but they didn't take too long to get our drinks out. We got to coco matcha and the biscoff matcha. Both were really good imo. But the coco matcha was a little misleading my bf thought it was matcha with chocolate but it was matcha with coconut water. I have asked before if dogs were allowed (since I take my fur baby to PetSmart next door) and the cashier told me yes. I have major anxiety sometimes and even call to make sure I can come in with my dog (some businesses I've been told mixed things, so that's why I check often). The workers there love to say hi to my fur baby. Ambiance It's a cute little boba shop. Average sitting space for boba shop in the area. Not too loud and I often see people on their laptops there. It's a great place and convenient to grab some boba after a meal or shopping at the Rosemead Plaza. Do keep in mind that cupsleeve events completely alter this experience. The organizations that host these events help keep the flow going very well to ensure that casual patrons are able to order on their own instead of standing in the wrong line. Inside is pretty spacious with seating and even claw machines. You can order on the kiosk or with an employee at the counter. Pretty underrated place for a study spot! The workers were super nice, drinks were good/decent and the location is nice because there are so many food options around. Aesthetics are nice inside and there are outlets around with an ample amount of seating. While shopping in the plaza, I realized that this boba place had SUPER HIGH ratings and saw some customers peruse around the other shops and in the lot with cups from this establishment, so I knew, as a boba enjoyer, that I had to try. We got the: 1) Bamboo Charcoal Milk Tea: -Got this drink with no sugar added and the milk "sweetened" it up enough where it was still possible to taste the steeped tea. -Slightly more roasted/toasted (?) taste to it, but it's really subtle and I'm not sure if that's from the charcoal or just from the tea itself. 2) Paris 1883: -This comes in large size only. -It's a milk tea with caramel, egg pudding, grass jelly, boba, and crushed Oreo crumbles. -I have NO idea what happened in 1883 in Paris but this drink slaps if you're looking for a more dessert oriented sweet treat than a drink drink if that makes any sense. However, I adjusted the sweetness for the drink and this balanced out really well with the sweetness of all the toppings included. -Not bad and I can see why this is a popular drink on their menu.
