Orders are placed through a tablet, which lets you customize sweetness levels, cream options, and other preferences. This place is both convenient and delicious and has so much to offer! I only got myself to give it a try this week and find myself planning what I'll get next time I'm in. First of all, I'm so happy they're open EARLY. like actually early, before people go to work, when we need coffee! One of new go-tos for coffee and matcha in the 626! I was recommended this cafe by a friend and it did not disappoint. They're located in a small plaza with very minimal parking spots if it gets busy. Walking in, your eyes go towards their TV that displays their menu. If you're having a difficult time choosing what drink you want, you can ask the person taking your order for recommendations. I couldn't get his name but he was so helpful when one of my friends didn't want a caffeinated drink and had his recommendations for a fruity drink. This place is definitely a popular spot to get some work done since they have many tables and chairs for you to work at while you enjoy your drink. I felt literal tears fall from my eyes as I sipped one of the best coffees I've had in a long time. I found a cup of happiness. I arrived at B'Lets Roastery (South El Monte) on Monday (around 11:53AM). Parking is simple because the lot is wide. However, the nearby parking spots say, "30 Minute Customer Parking Only." Staff (receipt says Ngoc) is extremely friendly, smiley, and welcoming. Ngoc communicated cheerfully and brightly despite the limited English. Ngoc used pre-scripted phrases, but Ngoc maintained her calm and confidence. Ngoc worked very hard. My drink took three minutes and 58 seconds. Good time. As mentioned, I absolutely adored the Ube Cream Coffee ($6.50). It's masterfully balances utility and flavor. This coffee woke me up, but it also made all my stress fade away. I felt my shoulder slump downward in happiness. This coffee is not bitter nor too sweet. Rather, the flavor of fresh ube and coffee blossomed brightly. This drink is fresh and light, and I'd argue that it's a slightly better version of the Da Vien Coffee. B'Lets Roastery (South El Monte) whisked me away on a magical coffee adventure. He said their machine is coming soon. I told him that when I saw the word "roastery", my immediate thought was coffee or latte. My drinks were promptly made. I was surprised at how strong the egg cream was but the Ube was just perfect. The staff noticed my reaction when I drank my beverages & he inquired if he could adjust it to my preference. That was awfully nice. He explained that the egg coffee, much like Vietnamese coffee usually comes with condensed milk, it can be prepared with oat milk but it would simply not capture the essence of Vietnamese coffee. He offered to make the traditional egg cream made with the original milk & it was so good! The whole environment is comfortable & it looks like a nice place to enjoy your beverages, hang out or do some work/study. Parking is free & shared with other businesses in a plaza. That being said, if you love bold Vietnamese coffee, this might be right up your alley. I stopped by close to closing time, and the employee making my drink seemed a little irritated or rushed. To be fair, they were about to close, so I'm not sure if it was directed at me or just the timing of my visit. The shop itself was clean and the drink was made well. While the coffee wasn't quite my personal preference, I can appreciate that they're serving a more authentic, robust coffee experience. The egg cream was thick and rich, and the einspanner cream was very thick and creamy, which I liked. Flavor-wise though, the drinks were way too sweet for me. I've been meaning to try this place as it's pretty close to me. I tried the phin coffee and added the einspänner cream so it's pretty much the phin einspänner. It's pretty strong on the coffee which some might prefer, though next time I may want to see if they can do extra cream. It definitely packs a punch as most viet coffee does. I've tried the other nearby coffee place which is more popular and the flavor and quality is pretty much the same. If not for the other place's promos, I would probably go to B'Lets, since a regular/small at the other place is a large here (I think they only have one size).
