    Roasted Oolong Latte
    Laura J.

I got the roasted oolong latte with boba at 70% sugar. This was good but definitely a bit too sweet, I wish I opted for 50% maybe even 30%. I believe the boba is also honey boba so it added to the sweetness even more. The drink was nutty and sweet, and boba was soft and chewy, only thing I would change is the sweetness level.

It has been over a year since I've been to Chun Yang and it's time for a quick update. The drinks are still good and the tea flavor really comes through in the drinks that have it. They had a few new-to-me drinks, such as Kumquat Lemon ($6.59) and I really liked it. Although it doesn't have tea in it, I like that it is refreshing and tart. This is a good one to get if you're trying to boost your Vitamin C. They have online order for pickup and the service is friendly. The lack of parking available in this parking lot is anxiety-provoking. It's best to come with someone who can wait in the car for you just in case you can't find a spot. I see that Chun Yang now has a couple other locations and I really wish they would open one in Orange County so that I can visit more often.

This is my second time visiting, and I'm so impressed with the consistency of the taste of my tea and the quality of service, I felt compelled to leave them a review. This feels like a neighborhood shop-- the type where they remember your order and welcome you with cheer. If I lived closer, I think I'd be here every week! Their tea is really, really good. I got the honey osmanthus latte at their recommendation and it was so delicious. Also their grass jelly is silky smooth. The shop is small and shares a parking lot with other stores in a corner plaza. I opted to park in the neighborhood and walk over instead of fighting for parking.

Before you head back to work during lunch or before you run errands, get this drink! It's so fun to sip on! I'm here often just for the Mango Cheese Smoothie. Its got a mango puree with cheese froth and green tea gelatin. I love it so much! Service is quick and easy, but, you must take your drink to-go. There are benches so you can wait for your drink, but no actual seating to lounge.

This is a very small tea shop located in a very tiny plaza It's open daily 12-8pm. Parking can be pretty difficult since it's located in a small plaza so not that many parking spots available. There was nearby street parking so I just parked on the street and just walked there, which was less than a minute away! Menu has a good variety of tea and tea lattes. Pricing was reasonable and most drinks were $6-$7. Toppings range from $0.75-$1.25+ Inside was very small so don't expect any tables but there is a bench to wait for your order. Definitely not an ideal study spot! Got the Osmanthus Honey Oolong Tea ($6.79) with 2 toppings (tapioca mochi - +$0.95 & green tea jelly - +$0.85). Ordered online but there's also the option to order using the kiosk inside. Got my drink 30% sugar with less ice. It was still too sweet but it was very refreshing. The tea flavor tasted strong and I could tell it was freshly brewed & good quality tea. The tapioca mochi was so delicious and chewy! The green tea jelly was fresh and tasty. Overall, this drink was 8/10 Would definitely return to try their other drinks and recommend!

For the anti social, there is an option for easy self ordering kiosk or pay at the cashier. Quiet hidden boba shop at the end of the complex. There are alternative milk options, including lactose free milk for the sensitive bellies. I ordered the matcha latte with brown sugar pearl, which is only available on the weekend. The matcha is very light. Didn't taste much of it. It tasted more of a brown sugar milk tea. The boba is soft and fresh.

This is my FAVORITE tea place in socal. They have the best honey osmanthus tea, I just wish it was closer to my place. Def better than other popular tea franchises like Molly Tea. Make sure to order your honey osmanthus tea at 30% sweetness with their signature tapioca jelly! Tapioca jellies are sooo good, they can't be compared to bobas.

Chun Yang Tea (San Gabriel) left me speechless. As I slowly stumbled into my car, I felt tears of joy trickle slowly pass my eyes. That's perhaps one of the best teas that I've ever tasted in a long while. I ordered the Osmanthus Honey Oolong Tea ($5.99 - Less Ice - 0% Sweetness). I arrived at Chun Yang Tea (San Gabriel) on Monday (around 6:34pm). Parking is frustrating, difficult, and cramped. I felt fortunate finding a spot in the busy, tiny private parking lot. This business is extremely difficult to find if not actively searching since its exterior is very plain. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted with kind smiles. There was no line this evening. Guests can order from a nearby self-service kiosk. Staff was brilliant & exemplary. I had a rare moment where staff actually volunteered to approach me and give me a sample of the 0% sweetness; they recommended it since its honey was already fairly sweet. Staff brought a bright smile as they explained their drink. My order took five minutes and five seconds. Fairly quick. As mentioned, I enthusiastically enjoyed the Osmanthus Honey Oolong Tea ($5.99 - Less Ice - 0% Sweetness). I happily sipped its crisp, fresh tea. I flowed along its soft notes of honey and gentle, silky liquid. It's not bitter nor burnt; rather, it carried a light cuddly sweetness that shared a brief happy hug. "Delicious!" Concerning ambiance, Chun Yang Tea (San Gabriel) is very clean, sleek, and attractive. The location's interior is small, but it's decorated humbly & tastefully. Everything felt well-maintained and very clean which is unusual in small order-and-exit locations with such a hidden location. This small business had no tables; there's only one long bench for seating. This location also has fresh ventilation, relaxing upbeat music, and one gender neutral restroom. Overall, Chun Yang Tea (San Gabriel) is a must try. I left breathless with a spectacular, memorable experience. It's humbling how something so magical can be so hidden. 5 out of 5. Go!

I've tried various drinks here and honestly a solid spot for tea! my go to for this spot is anything Osmanthus, oolong, or mountain tea + their tapioca mochi topping! Not a lot of places have this tapioca mochi topping besides Odd One or Toro Tea so it's nice to have the option here.

Came back and got the osmanthus oolong tea again at 30% sugar. Service was quick and we used the kiosk to place the order. There wasn't much people inside so we could sit at the bench by the wall. We also tried the pineapple oolong tea and it was an odd taste. It didn't really taste like pineapple at all. I wouldn't recommend (2/5).

Recommended by my partner during our date on a hot day, this boba shop is located in the back of a plaza in SGV, although a moderate size parking lot, it can fill out pretty quickly. The shop is small with no tables, only benches inside & outside, it could get pretty cramped in the shop since it was pretty busy when we arrived. It's always nice to have a boba shop that has kiosk ordering & ordering via register. They have plentiful of menu options including specialties in oolong teas. Cups are a huge factor for me when reviewing drink shops and Chun Yang Tea is definitely on the higher quality side of cups. They're sturdy, cute design, and no spills. My partner and I waited about 15 minutes for our drink during peak hours which is pretty quick. Highly recommend to order online ahead of time to skip waiting times.

Solid boba spot in the SGV. I have tried several different drinks from here and all were pretty good. My favorite is the Osmanthus Honey Oolong Tea, which is also one of their top/most popular drinks. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a something refreshing. For a milky drink, you can't go wrong with any of the tea lattes. Every time I've been here, it was pretty crowded. There are two options for ordering: from a kiosk or at the register. Don't be surprised if there's a bit of a wait to get your drinks. It is recommended to shake your drinks well before consuming. This is a very small store with minimal seating. There are only benches to sit on, no tables.

Polite quick service. Was looking for all the boba places near Pasadena and this place showed up in my search when I discovered they have Papaya Milk which I could only have in Taipei. I have tried finding it in many places but I couldn't until now. It was a fresh smoothie taste good. This place is a 100% legit with their teas. Got a wide range of Wintermelon and sugarcane drinks. Would definitely recommend this place and try to go there again to try some of their other drinks. It is a spacious place with wooden benches till your drinks are being made.

To order: Can order online, in store with the cashier or there are two kiosks available. Service has always been fine. Never an issue. SIGNATURE DRINKS: Original Thai Tea 4.5/5 70% sweet is sweet enough. 30% for less sweet. Thai Green Milk Tea 4.25/5 Not bad. Thai Red Plum 4.25/5 Kinda like it even though it's acquired taste. Definitely not the kind of drink I would have everyday, but good to have once in a long while. Thai Lemon Tea 2.5-3/5 Trying really hard to like it, but it's very so-so for me. Not my cup of tea. The Butterfly Collection: Honey Lemon Butterly Tea w/ Basil Seed 4.25/5 30% sugar. Like that it's slightly tart. Flavor/taste is good. Butterfly Pea Milk Tea w/ Basil Seed 4.25/5 30% sugar. Tastes sweeter than 30% sugar. Could taste the condensed milk. OTHER DRINKS: Yuzu Rose Tea 4.5/5 Bf likes this drink. I have couple sips and thought it was good (would order again). Thai Green Tea Latte 4.25/5 Their Thai Green Tea is pretty good. Probably won't be getting the latte version in the future cuz it comes with Pandan Boba and I'm kinda alright/so-so with it. Lychee Green Tea 4/5 Not bad. Decent.

They've been importing, growing, and supplying tea for over 80 years. There was a time when my ex was considering opening a Thai restaurant, and we'd go to LAX-C outside of downtown LA to make sure we could get Cha TraMue tea leaves in bulk. I actually like their rose drinks quite a bit too. And their choice of plastic cups are at least more structurally hardy - unlike places like 85'C that have cheaped out into using the softer, malleable plastic cups that have a higher tendency to leach microplastics under heat. I will say, I wouldn't deviate from the sweetness level for Thai tea too much. This location is a bit inconsistent so it'll taste off if you try to go to 70% or 50%. I usually avoid boba, but I make it an exception to get their pandan boba. Although again... sometimes their at this location is inconsistent, and it'll be missing that pleasant, aromatic pandan essence. Plus the they've also been too chicken shit to call out my name. You know, you enter your name: "Fat Boy." But when my order was ready, they'd only say "Boy!" Now I don't feel so guilty tipping only 15% instead of 20%.

Unfortunately, I sat on a sticky couch covered in long strands of old hair in a musty, unswept, grimy room while Staff casually rested by the counter. The location felt gross and unmaintained. I arrived at Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) on Tuesday - May 12, 2026 (at 12PM - Opening Time). The location was DIRTY! I quickly found parking in the small lot; it fits about 15 cars. Staff interaction felt nonexistent. Customers primarily order at the Self-Service Kiosk. I dislike how the kiosk requires a cell phone number to proceed. My drink took two minutes and 45 seconds. Quick. As mentioned, I ordered the Iced Flower Tea ($5) with Brown Sugar Agar Boba (additional 75 cents). YUM! The Iced Flower Tea is a combination of Chrysanthemum, Chrysanthemum buds, Osmanthus, and Gomphrena Amaranth Flowers. The tea is honey-like, crisp, and thirst quenching. Concerning the boba, it's floral with a grape-like texture; it's an acquired taste. On ambiance, Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) has wonderful potential. For example, I absolutely LOVE the plentiful electrical outlets, MANY boardgames for customers, and plush seating. There's also customer internet with password; details proudly displayed on the counter. And there's a gender neutral restroom. The lighting and art is also attractive. Unfortunately, during my visit, Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) reminded me of an unmaintained, public city bus. I have seen "B Grade" Businesses that are cleanlier... The crevices and corners are littered with crumbs; parts of the tables are sticky; the couches and cushions are entangled with long, old hair. Overall, Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) is not bad. I genuinely enjoyed their tasty, affordable tea. However, I don't feel comfortable enough to return if they're unable to maintain a standard of cleanliness. I was literally the first customer that day, and it was DISGUSTING. I hope this location improves... Drinks: 4.7 out of 5 Staff: 2 out of 5 Ambiance: 1 out of 5 Overall: 3.4 out of 5
