Hmmmm, I'm not sure how to feel about this place. Yes, the prices are lower than that of other milk tea shops. But the service is so bad I am hesitant to come back. There's usually one person handling drinks in the front and one or two in the back making the fried snacks. If you don't see anyone in the front, you have to make sure to scream because they can't hear you well. There is a kiosk to order for paying by card. The kiosk doesn't tell you if an item is sold out. The menu on the board doesn't reflect the actual prices, so it looks like they increase prices without notice. You need to ask them to unlock the bathroom. There is one stall inside this small business. The garage theme is kinda cute because there's a garage door on the wall and a few small stools. Only the mango pomelo sago drink is worth it here imo. The other drinks are meh. Popcorn chicken is usually why I'm here though.

I've been here a couple times and to be honest the drinks aren't that great. Not terrible, but nothing I'd go out of my way for. I got a jasmine green tea this time and it was just alright. What I do come here for is the food. The popcorn chicken and squid balls are actually really good. Fried well, nice Taiwanese flavor with a bit of spice, and they give solid portions for the price. I ordered 3 items and it was only $16 and it felt worth it. Came by this Saturday and called my order in ahead of time, everything was ready right when I got there which I appreciated. Also shoutout to the person who took my order, super nice. I'll probably skip the drinks next time, but the popcorn chicken and squid balls are definitely the move.

I'm here to review the popcorn chicken. It's probably one of the cheapest popcorn chicken options in the area (total: $6.62) and comes in a very generous portion. The chicken was well-seasoned and perfectly crispy. I really enjoyed it. You can also order it spicy if you prefer. I would definitely recommend it if you're just craving a quick snack. I haven't tried their drinks yet, but maybe next time when I come back for the popcorn chicken. Service was quick and efficient, and you can order either from the kiosk or directly from the cashier. This is more of a grab-and-go spot since there wasn't much seating available, either inside or outside. They do take card as well which is nice. Parking is with the plaza, so you will find a spot. Overall, delicious and great value for the price.

This place has the best popcorn chicken. Perfectly crispy and actually good sized chunks of chicken rather than all batter. There is plenty of parking as it shares a plaza and the girl working there doesn't speak English very well but the guy in the kitchen can come out to help. If you speak mandarin, she's nice and helpful

Visited garage milk tea. Its open even tho most of the plaza is still under construction. Very small place... pick up and go. There are no tables to sit and enjoy the drink or snacks. Option for variations of sweetness and amount of ice can be adjusted to your liking. I ordered the brown sugar boba. Pretty good.

Always a good visit when coming here as service is quick and efficient with the tablet ordering. Their popcorn chicken is a top tier item. I also like how they use fresh fruit for their drinks. pricing is fair and afforable. However it's a tight space for quick pickups. If you're looking for dine in, there's a restaurant next to it.

Ambiance: it's a small tea shop located right next to the garage kitchen, it's a to go place and there's no sitting area inside Service: slow and impatient, the staff is a bit rude and reluctant to fix their mistake Drink: classic menu for boba tea and other drinks Signature Milk Tea - *** half sugar, add brown sugar boba, and upgrade to large size, asked for no sugar but still served with sugar, average taste Price: relatively cheaper prices compared to similar boba tea places, expect $3~$6 per drink

Haven't tried their drinks here. But their popcorn chicken is 10/10. It's $5 for a pretty substantial amount. We got medium spice and it was pretty spicy so think I'll stick to mild next time. Chicken was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, well seasoned and good portions especially for the price!! Yum! Would come back for the popcorn chicken next time. Interior is super small I don't think there were any tables, just a few chairs, it's more of a take-out place.

They have improved their drink and boba quality so much since last time we visited. I also appreciate that they provide biodegradable straws now. 10/10 would recommend!

Stopped in here for a drink after having dinner next door. We ordered white peach oolong tea and golden oolong tea with boba, both at 50% sugar and less ice. I have to say, I'm surprised their oolong tea is pretty comparable to Formosa Aroma but much more affordable. This will be my go to place if I needed a good affordable tea. Service is nonexistent since we ordered from the kiosk. Although there was a guy at the front but didn't take our order. Place is very small. I would come back again to try out another drink and their popcorn chicken. I would recommend this place if you're in a budget and wanted to fulfill your boba cravings.

Mango Sago?!
Tiffany C.

I was disappointed in the drink! I ordered a mango sago... it didn't even have mango but at least it had sago?!!! That was so weird... I even asked the server and she said it was. The snacks were good and priced decently.

I recently discovered this milk tea spot that has not only a very large assortment of milk tea, but some of the best popcorn chicken around. I find the drinks here more affordable, and the service is excellent.

I came across Garage Milk Tea while looking for boba in this area of MPK. I ordered the Signature Milk Tea and Dream of Jasmine. Both drinks were decent. I was suprised the Signature Milk Tea comes in the smaller cup. They did not have any options to upgrade. Every review I read said the popcorn chicken was the best in the area. It was good but I don't know if it's the best I have had. I would come back if I was in the area but not come on purpose.

The coconut ice cream milk tea is a unique and delicious drink. Another standout drink is the matcha frostie with creme brulee. I have never had a bad drink from this place. The menu here is very huge, maybe even too huge. There are so many drinks you could possibly order, ranging from milk teas to fruit teas to slushies to coffees and a lot more. Unfortunately, the Brown Sugar Boba tasted funky. Some pearls had the flavor of soap. "Gross!!" I arrived at YOTEA (Rosemead) on Monday (around 12:16PM). Parking is simple if familiar with the area. There's a rear parking garage for customers. Staff is unmemorable and awkward. When I mentioned they mixed old and new menus together which displayed incorrect prices, Staff seemed amused and let them stay mixed. Staff avoided customer interaction whenever possible. The drink took two minutes and 10 seconds. Quick time. The Pandan Milk Drink ($5.99 - 50% Sweetness - Regular Ice) with Brown Sugar Boba (additional 80 cents) tasted artificial. It had a strong "candy milk taste," and it glowed a neon green when stirred. The first sip was pleasant, but as I continued to drink, the taste became more off-putting. Next, the Brown Sugar Boba tasted inconsistent. Some tasted perfectly fine, but others had the flavor of dishwater and gloop. I was tempted to throw it into the garbage can. Concerning ambiance, YOTEA (Rosemead) has potential. Ignoring the cobweb underneath one table & the somewhat old furniture, there's utility. This location has about 10 electrical outlets. Wow! There's also customer internet with password; the internet information is taped onto the black register. There's also a customer gender neutral restroom. YOTEA (Rosemead) is also very spacious. The ceiling is very tall, and there's many spots to sit. There's about 16 tables!! If desperate for a study/work spot, this is a decent choice. There's also upbeat, smooth music. Overall, I had a disappointing experience at YOTEA (Rosemead). There's utility and potential, but this business feels old and unmaintained. Rather than clean, Staff just chattered amongst themselves. Any passion that rang within these walls dissipated a long time ago. Currently, YOTEA (Rosemead) is simply mediocre. 2.9 out of 5

However, Moncha Cafe was a major disappointment, because I have never seen such an inefficient kitchen staff! We ordered an event combo (teriyaki chicken rice bowl, French fries, and strawberry tea) and an extra event drink (jasmine tea with brown sugar boba). It took about 10 minutes to get the drinks. The teas were flavorless. We couldn't taste the strawberry at all. The jasmine tea came with jelly in it instead of brown sugar boba. Then we waited for the rest of our food. 10 minutes... nothing. Another 10 minutes... nothing. Then another 10 minutes and another... There were at least 5 staff members working in the kitchen. I could see them chatting and laughing through the curtain, with only one or two staff occasionally running in and out to take orders and serve food. 50 minutes passed and we still didn't get our food. The couple sitting at the table next to us came in after us, had already finished their food, and left. I went to a staff member and asked what happened to our food. She told me they "are working on it" and that I needed to wait another 5-10 minutes. 10 minutes passed and we finally got our teriyaki chicken rice bowl, but there were no French fries. I had to talk to another staff member about the fries, and she claimed they were "working on it." It took them another 20 minutes to deliver the fries. Even if the cook had to peel and slice the potatoes fresh, it shouldn't take that long. The rice was not cooked properly. You can see in the picture that some of the rice was stuck together, not from excessive sauce -- some of the grains were still hard inside. The teriyaki chicken was as hard as beef jerky! The fork was bent and we couldn't pick up the meat. At that point we were running late for our next event, so we just left in a hurry. Needless to say, I regret tipping when I placed the order. I loved the event, but I will not be visiting the cafe anytime soon!
