One of my longtime favorite boba shops in the SGV that is pretty much a neighborhood staple. This is a very small shop with minimal seating, so it leans more towards a takeout type of boba shop. There are 2 self-order kiosks, making ordering a quick and easy experience. Although the menu is huge, the tea quality remains excellent with customizable sweetness and ice levels. I really like the "create your own tea" option, which not many boba shops offer nowadays. Some of mine and my husband's favorite drinks from here are the Uji Matcha Latte, Fluffy Roasted Oolong Milk Tea, Oreo Milk Tea, and Twinkle Fruit Tea. Each drink tastes like it is made of real brewed tea rather than artificial tea mixes. Also, I have to mention the amazing value of their HK Iced Milk Tea, which is a great and affordable drink option. The cute cups are just a bonus to the tea-forward drinks. As for food, we really like the Hong Kong style egg puff waffle and popcorn chicken. Both of these are great snacks for sharing or just for yourself. For the egg puff waffle, you even have the option to get it extra crispy, depending on your preference. I like that the waffle is only mildly sweet and buttery. The egg flavor really stands out. Still one of my favorite go to spots for a snack and drinks. Ordering online is kind of a must if you want to avoid the wait. There seems to be always a wait here because of the amount of orders so I highly recommend that. Service here is decent at best, it's always busy so staff is busy working rather than handing out orders. Sometimes you'll have to ask for your drink to avoid the drinks being sat on the counter for too long. Since their parking lot is essentially non existent with very little space, you can resort to parking in the parking lot next door, plenty of spots over there. Never had the chance to try their "create your own drink" but in time, I shall try that. I've always trended towards their "most popular drinks" board which is always on point. They have updated their cup design to cuter ones, and are picture worthy regardless of the drink you get. I highly recommend the brown sugar milk tea and the Uji Matcha Latte. As a huge fan of egg waffle puffs, I had to try Twinkle Tea's options. The original is already pretty tasty, it's on the sweeter side of the puffs but each bite is full of flavor. It's been years and their menu is ever growing, I love the seasoning they put on the popcorn chicken and I'm always conflicted if I want something fruity or brown sugar sweetness. You can order a full meal here like a bowl of noodles and random things like 10 piece chicken nuggets, but it is mainly a boba shop. This place is popping and the hours are reasonable (closes at 11pm). There is some seating but not much (about 3 tables and bar counters). Order is mainly self service via a kiosk which can be longer wait with indecisive people, but usually it is quick/ there's no wait. Their sandwich are amazing! I've never had their food here since most boba places' food are too snacky or a hit and miss. My friend had ordered a chicken sandwich, and the sandwich was delicious! They included fries, which they were able to make it super crunchy?! I had the popcorn chicken, and it was pretty good! They have fried garlic which I think is a yummy interesting add for flavor! The go to here is generally roasted oolong, brown sugar milk tea, or their dragon fruit smooth (it is pretty unique and delicious). I think this place have been here since the beginning of time when I was in hs, I am glad they were able to rebrand and continue! Private parking lot available, and bathroom as well.
