Ambiance: it's a trendy modern tea house located at a shared plaza in SGV, limited parking in the small plaza Service: their staff are very efficient although careless, they made the wrong order despite it's specified sugar level and ice level via their kiosk ordering system Drink: standard and creative drink menu with a focus on tea drinks PEACH OOLONG MILK TEA W CREAM TOP - **** creamy and refreshing taste, particularly like their jelly and barley base, recommend OSMANTHUS RICE MILK TEA - *** overly sweet and served with ice, despite of no ice option Price: decent quality, expect $7~$8 per drink, and it depends on cup size, hot or cold, and any substitution

Passion fruit tea

Space was nice and clean. Parking lot a bit small and about 80% full so parking is tough but not too tough. Service was really friendly. Got the mango pomelo sago for the kids (replaced the tea with water). The cashier was nice enough to point out the drink contains tea if I wanted to get that for the kids. Sugar level was well balanced. The kids enjoyed it. I wish there was a bit more mango flavor. I had the passion fruit fresh fruit tea with 25% sugar. Came with lots of slices of fruit (orange, lime, watermelon) and can see the passionfruit seeds. Needs more passionfruit flavor but it was still good. I liked that I can taste both the bitterness of the tea and the fruitiness from the fruit. I would definitely come back to try the other drinks.

First time at BenGong's Tea and ordered the Orange Jasmine Tea. I liked it - The tea was light and refreshing. The orange flavoring wasn't overwhelming either. Service was horrible though so I'm docking off one star. No hello, no thank you, just the two baristas behind the counter having a full on conversation while I sat there awkwardly waiting for my drink lol. It felt like I was inconveniencing them.

Honestly, the drink I got was good, but the overall experience just didn't really stand out. The selection isn't totally my thing, and with so many boba and smoothie spots around this area, this one doesn't quite hold up as much as I'd hoped. The service was pretty mid and the inside was clean but nothing memorable. Pricing is fair though. If you're nearby it's fine, but there are definitely stronger drink spots in the area.

I had a lovely experience at Ben Gong's Tea (San Gabriel). I ordered the Mango Pomelo Sago ($6.95). It's mango slush with coconut milk, sago, pomelo, and crystal boba. It's FRESH and delicious. I happily sipped. (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring card or contactless payment.) I arrived at Ben Gong's Tea (San Gabriel) on Monday (around 1PM). Parking is easy if familiar with the area. There's a hidden, spacious lot in the rear. There's even EV charging stations! Customers primarily order at the self-service kiosk. Staff is hardworking, but Staff appeared skittish when addressed. Staff interaction felt brief, but I appreciated how Staff attempted to greet new customers. My drink took three minutes and 40 seconds. Good time! As mentioned, I enjoyed the Mango Pomelo Sago ($6.95). The mango tasted fresh. The crystal boba had a light, playful bounce. And the drink is silky, chill, and smooth. I felt the urge to scream in joy bubble up as I sip. "SO GOOD!!" Regarding ambiance, Ben Gong's Tea (San Gabriel) is very clean and attractive. It's a pretty, calming spot. There's six tables and one long counter; there's even an outside patio with extra seating. However, there's ZERO electrical outlets for customers. There's none inside, and the outside outlets by the patio do not work. Still, Ben Gong's Tea (San Gabriel) has utility. There's customer internet with password; the details are written on a tiny paper taped onto the counter's register. There's also a game station (ex: Monopoly, Jenga, Uno, Etc.) for customers! The location also has a gender neutral restroom. And the music is fun & upbeat! Overall, I had a phenomenal experience at Ben Gong's Tea (San Gabriel). Compared to their other locations, this is one of the best. There's passion and care still within these walls. If you love tea & boba, this is a very easy recommendation. 4.9 out of 5!

BengGong's Tea is a unique place that has creative tea drinks. Came across this place through a random search on my yelp page, so decided to go ahead and try this place out. I ordered the Passion fruit super fruit cup with Boba. Drink itself was good but didn't have that it factor for me. It was sort of just okay. I still enjoyed my experience at BengGong's Tea. Great place for a summer hang out with friends. I would come back again and maybe try a different drink. I did enjoy the fresh infused fruit that was inside my drink. It was a great creative touch from this place. The Boba was below average. The business has lots of parking available and restrooms are clean.

Peach Oolong Milk Tea with Cream Top

I ordered the Peach Oolong Milk Tea with Cream Top. Actually tried it twice at 50% and 75% sweetness. I usually get 50% at most places but recommend 75% for this particular drink to get a good balance of sweetness and the taste of the tea. I'd suggest getting less ice too or the drink gets watered down quite a bit. Place is clean and they have their own parking lot. I'll come back to try the other drinks sometime soon.

Card ONLY. First time visiting this location is across Cali Nails Market and beside Chima Moutai. It is hard to find because the store name is large print in Chinese but small letters it says, "BenGong's Tea". There is plenty of parking once you pass the building, turn into the parking lot from the side entrance. What makes this place exceptionally good is their use of actual tea that is fresh ground, made and served. We bought 5 teas and will rate them in order with 1 as the least and 10 as the best. 1). Mango Pomelo Slush (no tea but made with Coconut Milk and a little milk for the topping). No changes are allowed on this drink. Rate it an 8.5 2). Burnt Brown Sugar Boba Milk we adjusted it to 50% and we should have left it at 100% because this place makes their teas not too sweet. Rate it a 6 because we adjusted it, I am sure if we left it alone it would be an 8 as well. 3). Mango Mochi Slush at 50% sugar rate it an 8-9 very good. 4). Black Rice Milk Tea adjusted sugar to 30% it was good, but I should also have left it alone as is. We tried their Ube and Pandan cookie for $4.50 and they were deliciously soft and tasty. The space here is a clean and classy meat up for 2-3 friends and not so much of a study area. It gets very busy as we heard the constant pinging of orders coming in. However, the employees were professional, served all drinks well and constantly busy. Give them a tip because they work so hard.

Mango Mochi Frost ($6.95) with 50% sugar & Burnt-Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea ($6.50)
Erik G.

The Mango Mochi Frost ($6.95) with 50% sugar is one of their most popular drinks, and my wife wanted to try it to see if it lived up to the hype. It certainly did! It was nice, frothy, and thick, almost like a milkshake. I loved the consistency, and it was a nice, sweet treat. It reminded me of a similar drink made famous by the spot next door, and we would definitely get it again. The Burnt-Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea ($6.50) with 75% sugar (recommended with less ice) was sweet but also a bit salty. It was a pretty good milk tea, though I'm not sure I'd rush to get it again. However, it was satisfying in the moment. We would come back to BenGong for the Mango Mochi Frost and to try other drinks. We liked the cute little milk tea shop with classic Chinese decorations and friendly, helpful staff.

Omg! I really enjoyed my drink here. BenGong's tea had a parking lot in the back or street parking. My friend recommends coming here because the drinks are fun to drink. What she meant was that they had different textures throughout the drinks. I ended up getting the sesame milk with added mochi. If you love black sesame this is your drink. The drink was great and the added mochi was so good together. I have been cravings for this drink every day.

After a fun afternoon of bowling, my Mom, brothers + family, and our cousin + family decided to grab some boba drinks. It was my cousin's treat. Thank you to my cousin and his wife! The first time I tried BenGong's Tea was at the University Town Center in San Diego. I did not know they opened a new location at San Gabriel. Cool! This location is right on Valley Blvd which is one of the busiest streets in the San Gabriel Valley area. I almost drove right past it. Anyway, parking is limited. You may need to park on the streets. Please read the signages. Cute and clean boba shop with a decorative fake tree + quotes from customers located in the center of the seating area. Inside space near the counter is kind of snug. Limited inside seating and no outside seating. One all gender restroom is available for customer use only. No kiosk for self-ordering. You gotta get in line to order at the counter. Sorry, no WiFi! Staff was friendly. I got the Taro Noro with 50% sweetness and easy ice. Drink looks pretty from the outside, but taste was slightly disappointing. It didn't taste like taro IMHO. I didn't care for the milk that was used either. I should have gone with the Mango Pomelo Sago instead. I'll get that next time. Yes, I'll be back!

I love trying new boba shops so I was excited for this one! We ordered two special boba milk tea, peach oolong milk tea, and purple rice/taro milk tea. Even with 25% sugar, it was still really sweet for us. The purple rice/taro milk tea tasted like sweet milk. There wasn't any strong tea flavor from any of the other drinks either, so it didn't suit our taste. We ordered ahead online so the service was quick. There are some tables indoors to enjoy your drinks.

4.4 stars Bengong has existed in the SGV for awhile, but I've never had the chance to try it until now. And I really like their tea. I got their tiramisu and the brown sugar milk tea since they had a buy 2 for $8.80 during Thanksgiving week. The tiramisu was my favorite beverage and, honestly, tasted like Tan-Cha's tiramisu roasted oolong drink. Are they the same company??? I don't know, but I'll definitely be back for more.

Definitely not the kind of drink I would have everyday, but good to have once in a long while. Thai Lemon Tea 2.5-3/5 Trying really hard to like it, but it's very so-so for me. Not my cup of tea. The Butterfly Collection: Honey Lemon Butterly Tea w/ Basil Seed 4.25/5 30% sugar. Like that it's slightly tart. Flavor/taste is good. Butterfly Pea Milk Tea w/ Basil Seed 4.25/5 30% sugar. Tastes sweeter than 30% sugar. Could taste the condensed milk. OTHER DRINKS: Yuzu Rose Tea 4.5/5 Bf likes this drink. I have couple sips and thought it was good (would order again). Thai Green Tea Latte 4.25/5 Their Thai Green Tea is pretty good. Probably won't be getting the latte version in the future cuz it comes with Pandan Boba and I'm kinda alright/so-so with it. They've been importing, growing, and supplying tea for over 80 years. There was a time when my ex was considering opening a Thai restaurant, and we'd go to LAX-C outside of downtown LA to make sure we could get Cha TraMue tea leaves in bulk. I actually like their rose drinks quite a bit too. And their choice of plastic cups are at least more structurally hardy - unlike places like 85'C that have cheaped out into using the softer, malleable plastic cups that have a higher tendency to leach microplastics under heat. I will say, I wouldn't deviate from the sweetness level for Thai tea too much. This location is a bit inconsistent so it'll taste off if you try to go to 70% or 50%. I usually avoid boba, but I make it an exception to get their pandan boba. Although again... sometimes their at this location is inconsistent, and it'll be missing that pleasant, aromatic pandan essence. Plus the they've also been too chicken shit to call out my name. You know, you enter your name: "Fat Boy." But when my order was ready, they'd only say "Boy!" Now I don't feel so guilty tipping only 15% instead of 20%.

It's nestled in a little plaza with minimal parking. Luckily, we went on a weekday and there were at least 2 parking spots open. The shop itself is small-- as soon as you enter, the register is right there with the self service kiosk to the left and the waiting area to the right. Even though there was only 1 party ahead of us, it took around 15-20 minutes to get our drinks. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since we ordered a lot of drinks. For myself, I was able to try the traditional roasted oolong milk tea with pearl and the hojicha latte-- both at 70% sweet. I have a sweet tooth, so the sweetness was at a perfect level for both. However, I didn't get that much of a strong roasted oolong taste in the milk tea as I've gotten from other boba shops. The hojicha latte was good enough, but also did not have that strong, nutty taste in comparison to others. I am more of a milk tea person, but maybe next time I'll try the honey osthamnthus tea since a lot of people seem to love it!

I arrived at Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) on Tuesday - May 12, 2026 (at 12PM - Opening Time). The location was DIRTY! I quickly found parking in the small lot; it fits about 15 cars. Staff interaction felt nonexistent. Customers primarily order at the Self-Service Kiosk. I dislike how the kiosk requires a cell phone number to proceed. My drink took two minutes and 45 seconds. Quick. As mentioned, I ordered the Iced Flower Tea ($5) with Brown Sugar Agar Boba (additional 75 cents). YUM!
