They have a very wide selection of alcoholic beverages and different types of spirits. I came looking for a specific beer. My husband said they carried it here. Went looking down the aisles and I was able to find what I needed so everything was great! I dont have to drive out of state to get it now! The ambiance was quiet and their parking lot seemed really full. The selection is much smaller than Total wine and I am not impressed by their 5 c deals as Total wine has also their discount program and sales. I remember when this store used to be so fun. The 5-cent wine sales were an adventure. I recently went and discovered that it's totally different now. BevMo is now owned by Gopuff and everything is somewhat confusing. The selection has diminished greatly. I was looking for Merlot and saw that they had only a handful of choices. The prices weren't great either. In the liqueur department, the selection is slim as well. They had three bottles of vermouth on the shelf. It's become more like a big liquor store than a wine store in terms of feel. I miss what it used to be. read more

I chose to order from a BevMo (Pasadena - Arroyo Seco) not in my immediate area because they carried two selections of Nectar. The variety 12 pack (Mandarin, Yuzu, Lychee, Asian Pear) and the POG (Passion, Orange, Guava) six pack. Perfect timing too! The latest promotional email coupon landed in my inbox a few days ago. I stocked up with plenty of Nectar to last me quite a while. The Nectar Asian flavors tasted so good last time I got the variety pack that I chose to do a super order and max out the $25 discount on orders over $150. I came in on Saturday mid-morning. It was super chill, only one customer at check out. This was the first time I noticed the Mo. There was random stuff that I didn't expect to find at BevMo. It didn't take but a minute for Mikhail to come over and help me out. Picking up my order was very easy. He grabbed all the items in my order and put them in my shopping cart. I only needed to show my DL, sign for the order, and load my car parked in front of the store. I was in and out of there really quickly. read more

Bevmo is also a good place to buy liquor and wine. I enjoyed and purchased some wines here as well. They have beer and other alcohol choices here. Some expensive and some cheap. Yeah, customer service was not the best here tho. People act like they do want to work, or help you here. Anyhow, id visit again. read more

Yay! This BevMo! in South Pasadena has Smirnoff Smash, Coconut/Pineapple Flavor 8% Alcohol Content, 23.5 oz. They also have the 4.5% Alcohol Content, 11.2 oz High Alcohol Content plus it's 23.5 oz size, it's almost like drinking 4 cans of regular beer so be careful, don't drive after drinking 1 full can!! Since i'm too busy to buy my Favorite Cocktail Drink ingredients, "MALIBU BAYBREEZE", Cranberry Juice, Malibu Coconut Rum, and Pineapple Juice, this Smirnoff Smash is the closest to it.... Most Liquor Stores don't carry this particular Smirnoff flavor so i stock up by buying a few cases! read more

Beer selection has gone south and the beer section is poorly organized and messy. Also, the place is staffed these days with folks who act like they're doing you a favor when they ring up your $300 purchase. Sheesh! You know I am not really good friends with alcohol and only thing I enjoy drinking is wine maybe once in every couple months or so. Recently, one of my coworkers told me about grapefruit beer because I told them I enjoy grapefruit anything. I tried Stiegal Radler Beer before at a bar in El Segundo but it was just alright. I was recommended Schofferhofer which looks very very similar to Stiegal because its also grapefruit beer which I may enjoy. I had to go to Marshalls next door and remembered to stop by. Unfortuntely, they were out of stock but I just grabbed something else that was also grapefruit on the way. I asked for help to find Schofferhofer and the guy helping me was oh so kind. He said they normally carry them but just out of stock at the moment. He also told me they are expecting a shipment on the weekend and told me to come check. I havent had the time to go back but for now I think I am satisfied with my random purchase. Checking out was very quick and I will definitely come back to get what I initially was looking for. I used to order frequently from GoPuff, my last two orders in a row I made one night never arrived at my doorstep. After several attempts to get a refund, customer service just kept saying it was marked as "delivered" and couldn't do anything about it. They obviously dropped the orders at the wrong house, I had asked several times for photo proof of the deliveries which they could not provide. Shady and unfortunate, considering I've been using this service for almost two years at that point. Never again will I use GoPuff or will have anything to do with BevMo anymore. read more

This location has a large selection of wines, beers, and liquor, as well as other items to accompany your party. Parking lot is huge! This was my first time at a BevMo and I am in love! Beer, wine and liquor all in one place..yes please! I took some time to just walk throughout the place, checking out all the displays (great holiday packs) I got a 3 pack of mini Disaronno's (perfect stocking stuffer) The store was so well labeled and organized it made finding what you wanted easy and fast. Staff was super helpful, I was asked a few different times if I needed help. The beer selection was awesome, such a wide selection. Large cooler for ready to buy and drink beer, I went with a 6 pack of Lagunita ipa and 2 local beers from the shelf (805 and anchor steam) Everything tasted great. Loved the local beer selection. My only complaint is we don't have these stores back in NY. read more

Been coming at this Bevmo location for a number of years. For some reason, they don't carry as much fine and rare spirits as before, so I've opted for other locations. Customer service here is just so so. I always find myself seeking for an associate to ask questions and when I do, they don't have much knowledge of bottles I inquire about. 2nd time here at BevMo! This place is actually a nice place to buy wine or beer or any drinks for an upcoming family event or game nights with family and friends. But what I usually buy here are the 'Dad's Root Beer' because it's just that delicious to be honest. It's not as strong as the regular root beer you buy, but this kind of root beer brings back memories when I was little kid. But sadly, they are out of stock almost all the time. I am giving this review a 4-star because when I called this location about 10 mins before I came in, a staff answered the phone and said that there were 35 units of Dad's Root Beer left in stock. But when I arrived, there were only 4 and I was shocked. Because the staff on the phone said 35 but in reality there were only 4. But overall, I still like this place no matter what. Their service used to be great, but the new management and staff are clueless about their own liquor selection and how to treat their customers with even minimal care. Their displays are disorganized and mislabeled. And the ambience is utterly depressing. One can spend half an hour shopping there without a single employee asking if they can be of help. It seems like the staff gets replaced every few months and most of them don't even pretend they want to work there. The manager Judith is particularly horrendous. It's appalling that someone with such complete lack of knowledge, professionalism, respect and friendliness can be assigned the role of managing and leading any store at all, especially such a large and busy one. I am a female he was a young male as she was. I called her attention to it, she then refused to serve me. She made me go to a young guy who said he was the assistant manager. I came here to pick up some things with my husband and this location full integrated a big section of GoPuff inside, which is super convenient. I've ordered from here before and it's very fast and I must admit more convenient than your typical convenience store. I thought it was super clean, the staff was really helpful, one of the workers I didn't get his name , but he was extremely wrong and helpful, he really talked to me about the wine and even offered me different temperature selections and I just felt he really cared about the customer and his position he was actually happy to be there and help me during the holiday rush which really stood out to me because you don't see that very often now n day. I was pleased to find that LA indeed has BevMo! locations scattered around. This one is the closest to me so I've grown familiar with it. A hassle-free, customer-oriented chain (I mean this in a positive way). It's a BevMo! so the selection is on-point. Definitely get the free BevMo card. You'll enjoy some fun (worthwhile) deals that you can't get at a regular liquor store. We recently scored with the "Buy 1 Bottle of Wine/Get 1 for 5cents" special on select wines. Now that is a deal! Literally every time I've visited here I've received helpful, knowledgeable service. On the flip side, I'm provided "breathing room" to stare at the aisles. I've been shopping here for years but in Glendale they are much much nicer there!. Let's start w that I was waiting in line behind a couple who weren't where the sign requests customers to stand . No biggie I just stood behind them. It wasn't busy there were 2 registers open and a random employee just standing at the register but not tending just looking at us. She was asked several times if she was open. In the meantime, a guy got in line and tried to check out w the non tender employee. I told him I was next then he was rude to me saying well the line is here then proceeded to say I only have 2 items, to which I answered, I only have 3 items. Now all the staff had seen me standing (3rd non tender staff just standing & staring) there and maybe could have said something to me in the first place rather than just stand there and let clients fight about the line. Then I go to check out with ROOT BEER & LEMON SODA. What happened ? I was asked for ID and I could NOT PURCHASE without it. Also it feels like they enjoy this. What in the world??? I asked for the manager. Still a "no "& really not very nice about it at all. To be honest it's VERY shaming and just not ok. I WASN'T BUYING ALCOHOL AT ALL!!! She even repeated "since you don't want to GIVE us your ID". I didn't have it because I went for a walk & only brought my phone. Well what absolute bologna!!! Really BevMo? Why even sell specialty candy or soda then? That's is absolutely absurd and ridiculous!!! Came here to pick up some Christmas gifts and left very satisfied with my selections. Special shout out to Andrew, the wine specialist (? forgot what they're called) who gave me excellent recommendations. As a BevMo newbie, he broke down the current ongoing 5 cent deal to me and explained additional promos. He also asked me what my budget was, gave me his top 3 recs, and shared the different flavors and notes to expect with each wine. He literally saved me hours on hours of me staring at every bottle in the red blend aisle, trying to figure out which one to get. The cashier was also very friendly and helped me set up my BevMo card quickly. To do all this during my lunch break was an amazing success for me, and I am impressed by the BevMo staff for making it happen! read more

I was also browsing for quite some time and no one came up to ask if I needed help looking for something. What a relief from my other experience at the BevMo on Foothill in Pasadena. This one had 3 different gift card designs and good service. They were nice and very helpful. After recently discovering Hungarian Tokaji, I was fixin' to acquire a bottle to sample. Unfortunately, my local BevMo! (in East Pasadena) did not stock this particular dessert wine (neither, for the matter, did any of the other nearby BevMo!s). Luckily, the BevMo! on Arroyo Parkway had 4 bottles in stock when I checked online. Score!!! After placing an online order for in-store pickup, I stopped by this BevMo! the next day to pick up my goodies. The parking lot here is extremely spacious, and I had no problem at all securing a spot. Walking into the shop, I was greeted with a smile by a number of the friendly staff members. The main associate helping me with my pickup was stoic Chris, whom I felt to be extremely knowledgeable in fine wines (after brief conversation with him regarding the merits of Sauternes vs. Tokaji) - I'm talking *Sommelier*-level knowledgeable. My two bottles of Royal Tokaji 5 Puttonyos Aszu (2008 Vintage) were ready for pickup upon my arrival, as promised. After a quick inspection of the bottles, I was pleased to note that the labels and wax cork seals appeared to still be satisfactorily intact, and was particularly delighted to note that the bottles were marked with consecutive serial numbers by the Royal Tokaji wine company. :) A cursory web search indicates that BevMo!'s pricing ($39.99/500ml bottle - *with a free ClubBev! membership*) for this particular product appears to be roughly in the low-to-middle range of pricing when compared to other US-based web vendors, whose prices vary from as low as $37.74 to $59.99/500ml bottle. When you consider the sheer convenience of local pickup (and the overhead involved in operating a brick-and-mortar retail location), I feel that $39.99/bottle is very reasonable. Based on my positive shopping experience here (in and out in under 5 minutes!), I would not hesitate to return here again. I just wished that BevMo! carried Royal Tokaji Essencia ... I would totally splurge on a bottle (which can run as much as $800/bottle, from what I've seen) just to so I can say that I own a beverage whose expected drinkable lifespan will probably exceed my own expected lifespan by no less than a factor of 300%. read more
