It may be the closest liquor store to me but it's my favorite regardless. One of my go to spots for beer. They have a great craft beer selection that is always changing. Half of the store is dedicated to their huge hard alcohol selection. The other half is wine, snacks and the beer fridges a long the wall. They are super friendly. I love that they will let you break a six or four pack so that you can purchase a single can/bottle. I like to walk out with several different beers to try so that's a plus for me. Went around town looking for a specific type of tequila. Finally found it here after searching on Yelp for nearby liquor stores. I've been here before for craft beers. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. The staff member at the counter asked if I needed help finding something. Celebrating Christmas Eve festivities, we ran out of liquor. :( All the other stores that were open only sold beer and wine so we called around and Super Store was thankfully open until midnight. They have a huge alcohol selection and almost everything you could probably think of. Unfortunately, from what I saw, they only have fifths and no handles. Prices seem pretty standard but it was sad to pay $25 for a fifth of Jameson when I knew it was on sale for $20 everywhere else. Oh well. That's what we get for not buying enough ahead of time. They also have snacks and sodas and whatnot for those drunchie and chaser needs. Cashier was super friendly even though it was cold and she had to work on Christmas Eve. read more

4.25 Stars with room to grow. I'm no expert with Liquor Stores, but I was recommended to come check out the best selection of tequila in SoCal. I found Fortaleza and for that, I'm giving them 5 Stars. The service was a bit on the dry humor side and I did take some grief for taking a picture of my find. Was waiting for some takeout from Spanglish Kitchen in the same plaza, and just dropped in to check this place out. Totally surprised by how clean this place is inside and how large of a selection of alcohol they have inside! It's surprisingly big inside! Prices are cheap/reasonable - competitive with supermarket prices. They also have a fair selection of non alcohol drinks and snacks to go with the drinking! Beef jerky, chips, ice cream, etc. Will def come back if in need for some drinks, especially for a larger get together. Crazyyyyyyyy long line though around 630pm on a Friday night. read more

If you're looking for a specific craft beer, they will likely have it. I've found all my favorites here and discovered a few new things here too. Now if you are looking for liquor they will have it here too. Almost anything from cheap tequila to top shelf scotch. Sometimes things are on sale. I bought all my white elephant Christmas gifts here a during the holiday season and they included gift bags! Now if you are looking for wine I suggest maybe going to BevMo, Trader Joes or even Ralph's because I have yet to buy a good wine here. It's ok I'm not a quitter though. You can pick up a bag of Funyuns too, but this really where you come to get your booze. read more

Very terrible service, the staffs can't even speak English at all. I returned 3 dvd movies on time at 5:20pm. The staff told me that one of the movie late for 3 days... I saw the pudgy Armenian guy in the TV commercial say "we're simply the Best!" I thought that was a pretty bold statement so I went to pay them a visit when it was my turn to go on a beer run. There it is, right on their store front sign it says, "simply the best." Excellent selection of beer. Surprisingly good craft beer selection for what appears to be a whole in the wall liquor store. Among the selections were: anchor steam, deschutes black butte, ballast point yellowtail, rogue dead guy, several Sierra Nevada and the usual stone, including oaked arrogant bastard. Really surprised to find deschutes jubel 2010. They also had a number of Belgians, incl chimay, st bernardus (tripel) and duvel. Prices weren't on most items, but the beers I checked were standard or better. Anchor was 8.99 and the jubel were 12.99. The oaked ab was 13.99 - lower than bevmo - and the stone IRS was only 5.29. Worth a stop if you're in the area. read more

I love this little gem of a place! People claim its sketchy, but its not. It just has an ugly and outdated exterior. I've never seen anything out of the norm there, and I come here once or twice a week and live in the area. They have a very large selection of every liquor, beer, wine, akd champagne. They also have odd gift items for the boozer in your social circle. Want a snack? They have you covered. It's all in all a perfect neighborhood liquor store you'd find in a small town. This place has some of the nicest staff I've ever met. This guy Doug and I, we're tight. So if you ever meet him, say hi, start a conversation, he's a sweetheart. Anyhow, this place is mainly a liquor store, and they don't disappoint. They've got kegs, which is totally badass, since theres few liquor stores I've seen that have them. They have everything there, its insane. The other half of the store is full of movies (Yes, you can rent movies here, and yes, they DO have porn, you weirdos. =P), and they also have the whole chip/soda/candy section. 4 stars for selection - they've got a lot for a liquor store, less than BevMo 2 stars for the product - the inventory is old and dusty. Beer does go bad. 3 stars for price - some bargains, but mostly not. -2 starts for the staff - Dumb as wood. DMV-level customer service. If you need a quick six pack and you're in the neighborhood then it'll do, but there isn't a liquor bottle in the place that isn't caked with dust. Of course you're drinking the contents and not licking the outside bottle, but it's still nasty. I know the product is overflow, but it doesn't have to look like it's been sitting in a dirty box for a few years. The staff acted like I was doing them a favor by buying four $25 bottles of liquor, and couldn't answer a question or even say more than the price total. Seriously, they didn't even look up from the counter while they took my money and pushed my purchase in my direction. Babosos. Also don't let the comment below fool you, this place just does not just cater to hard liquor but has one of the best beer selections in L.A and has great deals. So I just moved into the area and I was looking for a check cashing place so I heard about this one, So I called and asked them what I need they said just my check and my ID. So that's what I brought with me, I go in and the guy asks where's my check stub; of course I didn't bring it cause he said I didn't have to, but he said he'd try to cash it for me anyway. So I though wow what a nice guy, but then he tells me to step aside while he helps the other 4 people on line -_- .so finally he called 411 to get the number to my job. No offense to the guy but he had a really heavy accent so I kept correcting the way he was saying it cause he kept getting the wrong number and giving my information to this number he kept calling and they kept saying that theres no store with that name, (btw it's already been 30 mins) so finally he asks me for the number to my job and I tell him and they direct him to my manager and she gives him the okay to cash my check.. So he's getting ready to hand me the money and that wrong number called back and said that I'm not an employee, well no shit Einstein I don't fucken work there cause you were calling the wrong number the whole time, so he tells me I'm sorry I can't cash it for u because this is fraud .I tell him "I understand but you just literally wasted an hour of my time" I understand why he told me couldn't cash it but it's like come on I literally waited for and hour and 20 mins trying to cash my check and walked out with nothing..
