As we pull up to the giant red building, I was surprised that I have never heard or seen this place before! It is like a Latino BevMo! They had rows and rows of beer, from domestic to foreign brands. They also carry fun craft sodas, and had loads and of bottles available at decent prices. Unfortunately they didn't have the specific beers we were looking for, but they recommend calling in next time to see if they have it in stock! I stopped by to get a gift and was very happy to see a security guard standing outside by the front door. For my safety and my Mercedes. He was casually talking to a flower salesman outside. As soon as I stepped into the store he followed behind me and stood right next to the cooler I stopped by. There was plenty of people shopping however I was the only one he payed attention to. You guys should just get some kind of self check out of some kind. the service you get is like walking in to your house late and having to deal with your old bag. Rude girls on both spot and they throw the bag and make you bag your own stuff! I try going to the other one to avoid the problem, but they just pop out on both sides. Went on Friday July 25th to pick up a uber eats order I placed in advanced and got 4 hangover prevention remedies. The 4 of us who drank the hangover remedy got extremely sick the day after and didn't know why until we checked the expiration date on them, we were sold expired products and didn't know until the next day. My stomach still has not recovered & I've been dealing with it since Saturday morning! Keep in mind we drank it Friday & im still dealing with it on Tuesday. I'm so disappointed be to have been sold something that made me and my family sick. A place that gets this much business & is known for selling drinks & snacks should be way more cautious on what's getting put out. Ramirez Beverage Center is one of the best places for beer nerds in L.A. to find offbeat and different items, especially if one is looking for imported beers. Yeah, yeah, "drink local," you say ― everyone wants us to "drink local," so every store and restaurant and bar has the same damn beer from the same damn breweries that are sometimes literally just a few blocks away. Maybe, just maybe, I've already had those local beers, I didn't like those local beers, I got sick of those local beers, and I want something different than those local beers. And Ramirez has German beers, Scottish beers, Spanish beers (a guilty pleasure of mine) ― they even have some very rare and elusive Swiss beers! (The Swiss make a good amount of beer and wine, but very little makes it out of their borders.) As other alcohol goes, they have a decent spirits selection, though much of the best stuff is behind the register. I would've liked some help and consultation when trying to buy a bottle of mid-range whiskey, but the cashiers don't know Johnnie Walker from Johnny Depp. So for spirits... it can be less-than-ideal. But there are some interesting items, and prices are decent. (For wine? They're not even a contender.) The staff on the floor are very nice and helpful, and even the other customers are really nice here. So when it comes time to grab more beers for the coming summer weekends, I'll probably be heading back to Ramirez. read more

They have the store very organized and have refrigerators with all types of cold beverages from beers, wines, Selzer drinks ... If you are looking for something more classy and expensive they have a section with premium liquor ... I always like to browse this section just to look at the cool bottles the alcohol comes in... A horrible experience, while purchasing drinks initially me and my mother were excited, we happen to purchase Rome pop it, Santa Clara. It was extremely water down. The consistency didn't match the one that it was made before hand. I would alert anybody else that's going to purchase this drink to not do so, because it will never match what it was made for before extremely disappointed my mother and I were extremely excited for an experience that would be different. Everything else was good, but the wrong puppet Phil short absolutely I would highly suggest not to purchase a strength because the integrity of the making of it was lost. This was the first time I tagged along with my husband to Ramirez Beverage Center. We were in search of some birthday bottles of whisky/whiskey and according to my husband, they were the cheapest deal in town. While he was picking out the bottles I started browsing the aisles of beer & wine. I found a pack of Stone Xocovesa Tres Leches (Imperial Stout Mexican Hot Chocolate & Tres Leches) and a Red wine, Acarta, from Baja California. The whisky was the Japanese Nikka from the Barrel and the whiskey was the American High West Rendezvous Rye. The place has an amazing selection of beer and spirits, the staff is friendly, and I genuinely like the store So why the 2 stars? Unfortunately they have decided to take advantage of their customers and charge secondary market prices for bottles that are harder to find. If you're looking for bottles like Weller, Eagle Rare, or even something like seasonal Clase Azul bottles, you'll be paying 2x to 20x MSRP for those bottles. Don't let them take advantage of you and don't contribute to this practice. Take your money to other stores. They get these bottles too and you'll get them for a fraction of the cost. read more

Always the go-to spot for alcohol and liquor in Los Angeles. It's very comparable to Bev-Mo, as far as price, but in my opinion hosts a better collection of beer and spirits. I LOVE that they sell the beer both refrigerated and non-refrigerated (for the most part) and am incredibly grateful for their snack selection.
