Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Pretty spacious boba shop to hang out with friends. They have large selection of drinks to choose from. Interior decoration was interesting. I ordered classic boba milk tea and matcha latte. Drinks are nothing out of ordinary and it was acceptable. Plenty of parking space since it's shared with SG market.

Came here for boba after day 2 of Head in the Clouds since it was one of the few shops in the area that opened late. Apparently everyone else also had the same idea as the place was packed at 11 pm. There was only one person working. She was super sweet but was definitely overwhelmed by the influx of people. She was running back and forth taking orders and making drinks. It ended up being a long wait but I'm not deducting any stars for that since this was a special situation. There were not as many options as I would have liked so I opted for a taro milk tea - classic, right? The taro milk tea was made with a powder and black tea, but unfortunately it just did not taste like taro to me. My friend ordered a fruit tea which was pretty good and refreshing. There are several tables and lots of seating inside. The lighting is dim and the place is decorated with an astronaut / space theme. Parking is easy as it's in the middle of a small shopping complex. There were several Chinese bbq skewer food trucks lined up outside on the street as well.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND 50% sugar level and less ice for your drinks ! They have 1 size only but it was perfect imo I got: White jade lychee planet green tea with aloe + green milk tea crystal boba 50% sugar BOTH ARE SO GOOD !! Service is good but did take long time because there was one guy working and lots of people late night. This place opened til 2 am ! Chill large space good for meeting with some friends not too loud. They even gave snacks and frozen desserts.

Not that great. Came here on Friday night and there was nobody but us and another guy. 1 person working. Took 20-30 minute for our drinks to be ready & the other guy's drink. Nobody called or anything, we had to keep checking if our drinks were ready. Drinks are super sweet, even for the husband who has very sweet tooth. I'm surprised they have such high overall rating. I wonder if they're old ratings, or from people who come here during the day after supermarket run next door.

Highly suggest coming here if you're not in a rush. There's usually only one person working late at night, but the girl that helped us was very sweet and nice and def doing her best! The honeydew yogurt squares are def something I would come back for!

Honeydew Crystal Meteor. Basically, these are *very*-frozen cubes of yogurt. I was not a fan.

Overall, a huge fan of this place. I mainly appreciate that they are open later than pretty much any other boba/tea spot I can think of in the area. Also, the service is outstanding, the seats are comfortable, and there is always plenty of available parking outside (especially during late hours). K-pop music videos appear to be played non-stop on the south wall of the shop via projector. The interior decor is on the charming, quirky, and inconsistently-themed side. I'd expect nothing less. I was admittedly not the hugest fan of the Honeydew Crystal Meteor (basically green super-frozen yogurt cubes). The Peach Blossom beverage was ok - I wasn't too keen on the fillings of the wonky "bubbles" inside. All that said - the Hokkaido Milk Tea was more than outstanding, and the saving grace of our experience. The only real downside I can think of this place is that even if you are enjoying your beverage inside, you will invariably end up as collateral damage to the hordes of chain smokers sitting outside - if the doors are propped open, at least (which they were, during my visit). That said - I suppose the casually carcinogenic environment adds to the authenticity of the experience. xD

One of the few boba spots that open late night with a bunch of parking and seating available. Drinks take about 10min to make as there wasn't that many people working. Interesting interior decor. 7.5/10 Osmanthus Golden Oolong Milk Tea $6 - tea flavor was decently strong, a bit floral, not too creamy, not that sweet unless you ask for them to adjust it. It's a mid overall drink for me as the other ones were way better. 10/10 Hokkaido Milk Tea $6 - MEGA creamy. Sweetness was perfect and tea still was noticeable. Highly rec! 10/10 White Jade Lychee Planet $6.75 - lychee flavor was very good and tea also was strong. Super refreshing and yummy. Also a high rec! 8.5/10 Crazy Mango Planet $6.75 - Mango flavor was natural and not artificial. Good creaminess and thickness consistency. Solid drink overall.

This place is soooooooo cool. When you walk in you're going to be tripping out on all the decor. I love that it's clean and I love that the staff is really nice. The drinks are tasty and the dessert feels like I'm in space, starving and looking for food and instead of food I stumble across this giant square of sweet, Creamy, cold and fragrant little treats. Best thing ever. Seriously.

I've been here twice so far, each time craving something cold & sweet after dinner & enjoyed the experience here. The atmosphere is out of this world with the quirky and eccentric decor. There's many astronaut installations/table pieces and bears, lucky cats, big bears, and added a robot recently. The seats are cute and comfortable. The lighting is kind of dim, but not dark. It gives a strange in-between feeling that's interesting but also slightly uncomfortable. Pictures come out nicely though So far, I have tried the strawberry daifuku drink, the rose lychee meteorite, and the mango ice bowl. The drink is a good strawberry drink, but not really reminiscent of a daifuku to me personally. I still like it! In fact. I tried to order it a second time, but the cashier forgot to put it in The mango ice bowl is surprisingly really good with bits of real mangos, fruit and little Chinese mochi balls of various colors and sizes. My favorite is the meteorite. It's a frozen yogurt after they mix bits of rose, lychee jelly and tastes sooo good I'll definitely be coming back to try out the honeydew meteorite flavor next time

Ambiance: it's a super spacious boba tea place, located in the same plaza with the grocery store, very cozy and comfortable inside, just a lot of flying bugs Service: very friendly and patient with questions Drink: limited choices for drinks, you can choose your own levels of sugar and ice, however, half sugar is still very sweet, and they ran out of ingredients early during the day Blinking Passion Fruit Planet - *** choice of green tea base Messy Brown Suger Boba - *** substituted black boba with white boba, different texture Price: overpriced for its quality, each drink costs $8+ after tax and tips

Such a cute little store! I love that this place opens so late. Not many boba places open past 9AM these days. The ambiance is cute. It was a little messy due to it being the end of the night, but the lighting really creates a nightlife kind of tone. They have this cute little area to take pictures that we of course took advantage of. The seating is colorful yet minimal. Color scheme is fun and vibrant. The service was great, the cashier was a sweetheart, and our drinks were really good! I loved my honey lemon tea. Not many places add a little more lemon, which is the way I like and this place did such a great job. I also like that their drinks aren't overbearingly sweet, so I'm a big fan of that. Highly recommend!

Osmanthus Golden Oolong Milk Tea with Crystal Boba
    Tiffany H.

Overall I would give this place a 3/5. It tastes like your average boba shop. I ordered the osmanthus golden oolong milk tea with crystal boba since they ran out of honey boba. The quality of the tea was decent and you can taste the osmanthus but I felt as if my drink had a bit too much milk and it was a bit watered down. This drink was $7.35 which is on the pricier end, and given the quality of the drink I would recommend going to other locations. This shop is decent in the sense that it's open late and has OK quality boba drinks. The service was decent. They had cool decor throughout the shop and there was a good amount of people at midnight on a Wednesday night. Probably wouldn't return unless I was really craving a boba at midnight.

I was in the same plaza and I was craving boba, so I decided to try this place out. The decoration is really cute and matches the aesthetics of their drinks. I came on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy at all. The cashier was friendly and answer all the questions I had about the drinks and the sweetness levels. I got the Blinking Passion Fruit Planet 50% with grass jelly. This was the perfect sweetness for me as the drink also came with popping boba. The total for one drink came out to be over $8, which I don't think it was worth it for a basic passion fruit green tea. My experience here was overall good, but not a go-to. They are open late which is a plus.

They've been importing, growing, and supplying tea for over 80 years. There was a time when my ex was considering opening a Thai restaurant, and we'd go to LAX-C outside of downtown LA to make sure we could get Cha TraMue tea leaves in bulk. I actually like their rose drinks quite a bit too. And their choice of plastic cups are at least more structurally hardy - unlike places like 85'C that have cheaped out into using the softer, malleable plastic cups that have a higher tendency to leach microplastics under heat. I will say, I wouldn't deviate from the sweetness level for Thai tea too much. This location is a bit inconsistent so it'll taste off if you try to go to 70% or 50%. I usually avoid boba, but I make it an exception to get their pandan boba. Although again... sometimes their at this location is inconsistent, and it'll be missing that pleasant, aromatic pandan essence. Plus the they've also been too chicken shit to call out my name. You know, you enter your name: "Fat Boy." But when my order was ready, they'd only say "Boy!" Now I don't feel so guilty tipping only 15% instead of 20%.

I arrived at Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) on Tuesday - May 12, 2026 (at 12PM - Opening Time). The location was DIRTY! I quickly found parking in the small lot; it fits about 15 cars. Staff interaction felt nonexistent. Customers primarily order at the Self-Service Kiosk. I dislike how the kiosk requires a cell phone number to proceed. My drink took two minutes and 45 seconds. Quick. As mentioned, I ordered the Iced Flower Tea ($5) with Brown Sugar Agar Boba (additional 75 cents). YUM! The Iced Flower Tea is a combination of Chrysanthemum, Chrysanthemum buds, Osmanthus, and Gomphrena Amaranth Flowers. The tea is honey-like, crisp, and thirst quenching. Concerning the boba, it's floral with a grape-like texture; it's an acquired taste. On ambiance, Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) has wonderful potential. For example, I absolutely LOVE the plentiful electrical outlets, MANY boardgames for customers, and plush seating. There's also customer internet with password; details proudly displayed on the counter. And there's a gender neutral restroom. The lighting and art is also attractive. Unfortunately, during my visit, Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) reminded me of an unmaintained, public city bus. I have seen "B Grade" Businesses that are cleanlier... The crevices and corners are littered with crumbs; parts of the tables are sticky; the couches and cushions are entangled with long, old hair. Overall, Moncha Cafe (Rosemead) is not bad. I genuinely enjoyed their tasty, affordable tea. However, I don't feel comfortable enough to return if they're unable to maintain a standard of cleanliness.
