I had a good experience at X Tea Cafe (Baldwin Park). I ordered the X Tea Signature Milk Tea ($5.99 - 75% Sugar - Light Ice). It's a Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea with Cheese Mousse. I happily savored its crisp, fresh tea flavor. TASTY! However, I really hated its boba pearls' texture; it's like biting into tofu jello which felt unsettling. These are not bouncy boba. If I reorder, I would select "no boba." I arrived at X Tea Cafe (Baldwin Park) on Tuesday (around 7:50PM). Parking is easy. Parking is on a long strip; the green labeled spots say, "2 Hour Parking." Customers can order at a self-service kiosk or counter. Staff is very friendly, welcoming, and diligent. Staff maintained a bright smile throughout my visit, and Staff answered all my questions. Staff worked hard. My drink took about three minutes. Fast! As mentioned, I ordered the X Tea Signature Milk Tea ($5.99 - 75% Sugar - Light Ice). Bad boba texture aside, the drink is surprisingly delicious. I ADORED the fresh tea flavor, and I enjoyed its subtle sweetness. I found myself very surprised. The tea is affordable and a good quality. YUM. On ambiance, X Tea Cafe (Baldwin Park) is surprisingly lovely. There's utility. The location has customer internet with password; customers must ask staff for details. There's about four electrical outlets, and there's a game corner (ex: Connect Four, Uno Cards, Jenga, Etc). There's also an accessible customer restroom nearby; customers must ask staff for the restroom key and walk outside. In addition, X Tea Cafe (Baldwin Park) is charming and cute. There's twinkling lights; happy playful animated music plays; and the location is very clean. There's about five tables and one counter. It's small but cozy. I especially loved the chill, fresh ventilation. There's sincere care and passion contained in this small business. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at X Tea Cafe (Baldwin Park). This could have easily scored a higher rating with better boba pearls, but X Tea Cafe (Baldwin Park) excels in so many other ways. If you avoid the boba pearls, I'm confident you'll have a great time. This spot is filled with potential. 4.5 out of 5 read more

We were in Baldwin Park running errands and stopped by here because we wanted something to drink. It was pretty empty when we came in, but the cashier was really nice. I liked the ambiance of this little shop. For the drinks, I ended up trying a strawberry boba milk with crystal boba at 25% sweetness. The drink itself was... interesting. It tasted more like strawberry Nesquik mixed with milk, and the flavor was pretty light (which makes sense since I got 25% sweetness). Overall, it was refreshing, but it didn't really stand out to me since I've had better elsewhere. The crystal boba was good, though. read more

I really really want to like this place as it's just down the street from me and the staff are very sweet. However, the quality of the milk tea is consistently lacking. Cups are usually overfilled and spilling, the milk tea is often flavorless, matcha has usually not been well mixed and clumps to the bottom, and the texture of the boba pearls are off. I do think there are better choices for milk tea in the area, unfortunately. Can't recommend. read more

This place is literally a hidden gem in Baldwin Park. The place is small but very welcoming with an assortment of board and table games to play, including connect 4 and Jenga. Enough light but not too bright where it hurts your eyes. The lady in the front was super helpful and nice, giving a lot of information and accommodating all of our requests. The tea is definitely different than most but very delicious. I would say that this tea is one you can drink more often. It has a lot of flavor, but doesn't have the overly sweet an artificial flavor like the other places. My wife, nephew and I all were very pleased with our orders and experience. 10/10 recommend read more

Was craving a Taro Smoothie but the menu was very limited at this time. There was a sign for Soft Opening but I thought Taro Smoothie was a basic drink to have on the menu. They did have Taro Milk Tea but instead I ordered a Thai Tea Smoothie cause I wanted something blended. Unfortunately, the Thai Tea was lacking in flavor and color as you can see from the pictures. It tastes very watered down and not creamy at all. Another thing to note is that they charge for Boba $0.99. Drinks do not include Boba. I am accustomed to paying extra for an additional topping such as Aloe or extra Boba but charging for a single serve of Boba was a bit of a turn off. I did ask if they will be selling food items in the future since "Cafe" is in the name and the employee responded "Maybe." I don't think I'll be back. read more
