What a fun and unique little café! We found parking easily in the back, which made getting in super convenient. I loved the anime-themed Japanese-Mexican fusion concept. The entire place has a cozy, welcoming vibe and feels like somewhere you could easily spend a few hours. They have board games, cards, books, and plenty of seating, making it a great spot to relax, study, or hang out with friends. The service was wonderful. We usually prefer hot coffee drinks at night, and the barista was kind enough to make both of our drinks hot even though they're typically served cold. I ordered the Haise Coffee (horchata with espresso doppio), and my boyfriend had the Chocolate Abuelita Latte. Both were rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. We also lucked out and got the last slice of their Cookie Butter Cheesecake, which was a perfect sweet treat to go with our drinks. Great coffee, great atmosphere, and genuinely friendly service. This café is really cool! The atmosphere is cozy, with several different seating areas, including a few couches that make it a great place to relax. You can either order right from your table by scanning a QR code or order at the front. I tried both, and the service was fast while the staff was very attentive. If you're an anime fan, you'll love the décor. They have artwork and decorations inspired by Attack on Titan, Dragon Ball Z, Demon Slayer, One Piece, Pokémon, and more. Everything is thoughtfully put together. The food and drinks were just as good as the atmosphere. I ordered three different drinks. The milk tea was very good, and I also tried what I believe was a mazapán iced coffee topped with crushed mazapán. It was well balanced and delicious. The third drink I ordered was the Chopper themed iced cocoa, which I got in a to go cup. It was topped with whipped cream, marshmallows, and sprinkles. I didn't actually try it, but it looked super cute. The spicy tuna onigiri tasted fresh, the avocado toast was especially good with the hot sauce, and the French fries were hot, crispy, and fresh. The Kirby pancakes were fluffy and sweet, with fresh strawberries and blueberries on the side. Overall, this was a fun experience with great food, friendly service, and an awesome atmosphere. I had an opportunity to try this place last week. At first, I actually missed it since it is a little tucked away, but there is parking available in the back. My first impression walking in was just how cute the space was and how committed they are to the anime theme. The restaurant is fun, welcoming, and clearly designed with fans in mind. We ordered at the counter and were helped by very friendly staff, who I believe may actually be the owners. As a matcha lover, I was excited to see so many different matcha options on the menu. I opted for the Mango Matcha, and from the color alone I could tell it was going to be a rich, quality matcha. The matcha itself was strong and flavorful, while the mango foam was incredibly delicious. The pieces of dried mango on top were a great finishing touch. My husband ordered the Meliodas Wrath, an iced latte topped with banana cream, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious. The banana flavor came through beautifully, and the little banana meringue on top was a fun and tasty addition. For food, my husband ordered the Rengoku Bento, which included rice, flavorful beef, a boiled egg, gyoza, and vegetable egg rolls. The gyoza and egg rolls were both crispy and delicious, and the entire meal was well executed. I ordered the Luffy Steak & Eggs, which came with perfectly scrambled eggs, rice, avocado, incredibly flavorful beef, grilled onions, and a house-made salsa that was honestly one of the highlights of the meal. The salsa tied everything together and added a great depth of flavor. The seasoning and sauce on the beef were bold and intense. Personally, I found that I needed the rice to balance the flavors, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I simply do not eat a lot of rice, so I found the dish worked best when everything was eaten together. Overall, this place is definitely worth a visit. Between the fun atmosphere, friendly service, creative menu, and excellent matcha drinks, it is a spot I look forward to returning to. Pleasantly surprised!! Glad to have another good coffee shop in the area. Our drinks were well executed. The added flavors did not overpower the coffee. It was a good roast and brew. We prefer Miku's song (Blue Razz) over V Super Saiyan (Mango). Blue raspberry paired well and enhanced the coffee whereas the mango kind of disappeared. Needless to say, the cafe itself was really nice! It's decked out in decorations, games, and manga. A great spot to hang out. My friends and I visited this cafe after the gym. It is tucked in a corner on Pacific Ave. in Baldwin Park. There is a handful of parking spots in the back. The place is unassuming on the outside, but oh so lively on the inside. I only dabble in anime, but you could see how much care was put into decorating this cafe. You can order at your table with the QR code on the stand, which is what my friends and I did. For my drink I got the Gengar Shadow and it came with a matcha poki and blueberry meringue. The matcha was smooth and flavorful. The blueberry cream was tasty, creamy & complimented the matcha so well. I also got the Charriquiles, which were cooked to perfection. The tortilla chips were a gorgeous balance of crunchy and soft. The verde salsa had a little kick and was so rich. The eggs were big and cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and checked on us a bit. It is a little pricey, but that's expected eating out now. Be prepared to wait a little, but that usually is expected with good tasting, high quality food. So mad at myself for not stopping by before, when I perused Yelp for study spots. "All might smile" banana matcha was very good. Sweet but not overly sweet, my recommendation would be to mash the little candy that comes on top into the drink and you'll be able to really get the banana with the drink, all in all the matcha was very good. There was a family sitting down and all of their food looked really good. It was a very welcoming environment and even saw people in costume. The workers were also very nice as well. Would come back :), only issue was that it took a long time for the matcha about 25 minutes, I know things are usually first come first serve but working in service if I have big families coming the I'm going to push out the order with one or two drinks while working on my big order. If you are like me and don't know what to order, the owner was patient in answering questions and making recommendations. Each item has a creative name and fresh ingredients, not frozen. Try a couple of things and come back to make your way down the menu. Community Events are held on a monthly basis, follow them on social media for the latest schedule. 1. "Anteiku" is a prominent, fictional coffee shop and ghoul organization in the Tokyo Ghoul anime and manga series, hence the name... Owner Louis and Valerie his wife, opened this coffee shop 8 months ago. As a kid he watched anime to help him through a rough time. His life was truly changed and he wanted to give the community a safe heaven where they too could benefit from it as well. The minute you step inside you will notice all of the anime artwork on the walls, the amazing menu above the counter (it changes every few seconds with the most amazing photos of the drink menu), and the glorious chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Even the bathroom has anime artwork! There is an area where you can sit back on a comfy sofa or chair to enjoy your drink and/or food. *The drink menu is extensive with Coffees, Matchas, Mocktails, and refreshers. The presentation is beyond spectacular!!! We were blown away! The food menu also amazing! Perfect for anime and manga otakus, even the meaning of the name relates to the reference from a cafe in Tokyo Ghoul where "even a Ghoul needs a place to relax" comes from. Anteiku Cafe (Baldwin Park) is perhaps one of the most unexpected, unique, and utterly lovely experiences that I've stumbled upon. It felt like a Disney cafe for anime enthusiasts. The Nezuko's Love (aka: iced matcha latte with strawberry cream, strawberry pocky, & pink meringue - $7) is refreshing, picturesque, and very big. I felt happy. I arrived at Anteiku Cafe (Baldwin Park) on Tuesday (around 12:27PM). This location is a short three minute drive from West Covina Mall. Parking is simple & convenient. This business's small parking lot contains about 11 spaces. Staff also explained that there's no time limit on these parking spaces despite the green paint. Personally, if management added a tiny sign in the lot, that would alleviate many concerns about the parking. Staff is charismatic, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Staff speaks English and Spanish. Staff (receipt says Luis) gave wonderful recommendations and worked hard. Luis also quickly answered my questions with an unwavering smile. My drink took five minutes and 19 seconds. It's a good pace. I enjoyed the Nezuko's Love ($7). This matcha tasted clean & smooth. The bits of strawberry cream were thick, sweet, and lightly tart. The strawberry pocky had a fresh crunch. And its floating pink meringue reminded me of astronaut ice cream with a gummy, very sweet center. It's a big, refreshing, & quality drink. Regarding ambiance, Anteiku Cafe (Baldwin Park) is gorgeous. It's reminiscent of an upscale cafe in Las Vegas; if placed in the Bellagio, it would seamlessly fit in. The colors are vibrant; the decor is spotless and well-maintained; and the ceiling's light fixtures are beautiful as they sparkle. In addition to its sleek, eye-catching appearance, there's sincere utility. Anteiku Cafe (Baldwin Park) has customer internet with password. Customers must directly ask staff for the password information. Also, there's two electrical adapters nearby its tables. These electrical adapters are wonderful since they have 8 sockets for plugs and a couple ports for USB cables. Anteiku Cafe (Baldwin Park) felt spacious with its tall ceiling; however, the floor space is limited. This location's interior fits about six tables; the outside patio has about three tables. This location is very clean and well-ventilated. This location also includes a gender neutral restroom for customers. Anteiku Cafe (Baldwin Park) also has a lounge area for anime/manga enthusiasts. Nearby its plush chairs, there's a place to interact with Pokemon plushies. Customers also have permission to read from their small manga library (ex: Demon Slayer Volumes, Jujutsu Kaisen Volumes, etc.) on the standing cabinet. Customers can also play with the available games (ex: Uno, Monopoly, Dominoes, etc). To my surprise, it all looked well-maintained and clean. My main concern will be its longevity, especially if a hidden gem like this becomes very busy. Regardless, there's currently genuine passion and care within these walls. I've seen this place in passing for a while now and decided to stop by and try it out. I like that there's a dedicated parking lot for it, however on busy days it fills up fast so you're left with no parking since it's a tiny lot. The interior is really nice, they did a lot with a small space. You can tell it's well kept with cleanliness being top notch. There are a ton of anime-inspired decorations, statuettes, paintings, etc. The staff is super friendly and inviting. Overall the vibe is confusing and certainly feels like a work in progress. It feels like it wants to be a social spot where you can hang out for hours with your friends like a gaming cafe, but it also feels like its main priority is making sure customers have room to sit down and eat instead of game. I think there's a better mix of the two worlds it can hit so that it's more inviting for longer stays. I don't recall there being music the few times I went, if there was music then it must have been super low. Nobody was talking and it was pretty quiet, so I was just whispering since it felt like everybody could hear every word I said haha. I think louder music would instantly help it be a more social spot vs a library type environment. There's a lounge/hangout area with an arcade machine, but there was a random racing game that I didn't care for so I didn't play it. And they had anime and TCG's which I'm also not into (I watch anime, I don't read it) so there wasn't much for me to do in that area. I don't know why but I expected more board games? Anyway, I heard the food was good, so I tried some of that and the drinks. DRINKS I TRIED (all were incredible): - Goku SS Matcha Latte - SO GOOD. Definitely the best thing there and one of the best drinks I've had anywhere in a while. Based on how good this drink was I wanna go back and try everything. - All Might Smile - LOVED IT - Nezuko's Love - AMAZING just as good as the others. FOOD I TRIED: - Keido Steak Sandwich - I wouldn't get this again. The steak was too tough and the soy sauce was making quite a mess but didn't really add much to the sandwich. The fries also were nothing noteworthy, they tasted just like your average frozen fries. Not sure if they actually are frozen or not. - Onigiri - Pretty good! Not anything incredible, but I did like it and will get it again if I need a small snack. I have never had Onigiri before so I have nothing to compare it to haha. - Ice cream + Churros - Pretty good. Churros in general are usually hit or miss but they got them right. They were warm enough and soft enough just how I like them. They're not all stale and chewy like some places make the mistake of doing. - Denjis Dream Toast - Probably wont get again. It's just toast with toppings. But it is on the "Light Bites" section of the menu so it is what it is. - DK Toast - Same. Probably wont get again since it's so simple. Overall it certainly seems like their strength is in the drinks and not in the food, and I will 100% keep going back to try more drinks. Not only do they serve a variety of drinks like coffee, matcha, tea, and slushies but they also serve great food options. My go to drink options are the Nezuko's Love (strawberry matcha) and iced lattes with oat milk. Luis, the owner or Rubi usually make me a custom cold foam. I've been enjoying the pumpkin and hazelnut cold foams the most. They can make any cold foam flavor you'd like to top off your drink. I usually prefer to have a cold foam instead of sweetened coffee. Their coffee has such a nice roast. They source their coffee from Mexico. Rubi makes really tasty food! My go-to options for food are: the avocado toast, charriquiles with green sauce, tuna a la Mexicana, and Luffy steak and eggs. All their food is made fresh to order. They have a delicious red salsa. Make sure to add some to your food. Their steak is so tender and flavorful. Their avocado toast has egg mixed in or you can ask for your eggs to be made a different way. I usually stop by a few times a month. I usually get a small table and get some work done. They also have Manga, cards, and board games available to use while. Went to Anteiku on a Saturday morning and was immediately seated. There is also a bookshelf at the back of the cafe for guests to entertain themselves with on games or coloring activities. My friends and I ordered the charriquiles and eggs and gengar matcha. Presentation of the food was beautifully plated and I enjoyed how generous and filling each of the items are. My friend ordered the steak sando and the fries were my favorite as they were crunchy and fresh! My highlight of the experience was meeting the owner and learning how the cafe came to be. Note: The back door is locked, and guests will need to come around from the parking lot to the front door of the cafe to go inside. When you arrive, the cafe is in like some apartment complex but don't let that distract that this place is awesome. The decor is comforting and also really cool looking especially if you love Anime. This was a very unique cafe experience. It was all anime themed and the interior itself was pretty nicely decorated. I ordered the Haisen's Coffee which was very sweet and the cutest garnishes on the top. The workers were very friendly and made the drink pretty fast. Cute place! read more

What a delightful vibe!! We came in here because we saw the flags outside and wanted to check it out. The drinks were delish, 10/10, and the vibe and ambiance was wonderful too. We ended up staying and hanging out for an hour just to enjoy our drinks. The owner took our order and made our drinks and was very friendly. He has his personal manga collection to share and read while you're in the shop as well as some board games and an arcade game which is free. We will most definitely be back! read more

My wife and I stopped by after the gym because we wanted a small bite to eat. On top of that, we had never been here before so we wanted to stop by! Food: We only got drinks because on Labor Day, they didn't have any food available. Strange, but it's okay. We ended up getting a matcha with strawberry and a horchata coffee. My wife didn't like her drink that much but I thought it was good. I absolutely loved my coffee. Not a fan of the meringue that was on top as I had to open the lid to eat it before it sank to the bottom. Strong flavors and just the perfect amount. Service: Service here is what made this review 5 stars. The nice man behind the register was very helpful and friendly. Even though the drink specials that day included only the classic coffees, he made the horchata coffee free. That was very nice of him and left a great impression on us. We'll definitely be back to try the food as the Yelp photos make the food look delightful! PLUS, we both love anime so we love the decorations and themed drinks. Win-win all around. read more

Ok, sorry but not sorry about this but BP is not known for cool spots like this. They just aren't and you who know should know that. This place has a cool Anime vibe and decked out with all sorts of characters I'm not in tune with but still looks super cool. When it comes to their drinks though I will say they've put it together knowing how to attract customers like me. They are eye pleasing with the taste to match and they're served in glassware! Oh they definitely did their research on how to keep Yelpers like me coming back. I ordered two of the Matcha drinks along with a Lotus Tea refresher. One of the Matcha drinks had a subtle hint of blueberry and that one was called Gengar Shadow so that was a good start. My second drinks was the Nezuko Love and this one came with a strawberry cream top which was also pretty good. My last drink was the Lotus Latte that was topped off with a Biscotti cookie. This was definitely a winner too and completed the tasty trio of drinks. The service was excellent but the parking is limited due to the unusual location. Other than that I'm coming back. This was my first time here. the shop was beautiful, with friendly and welcoming staff. I tried the Gengar Matcha and it was really delicious, but I don't understand why it was priced at $7 on the menu but they charged me $8? Almost $9 for a cup of matcha is a bit pricy. read more

This new cafe caught my eye because I LOVE Tokyo Ghoul! Spoke with the owner who seems like he genuinely wants to create a space where people feel welcome, especially those who love anime! Good coffee, I normally enjoy my drinks without sweetener but this was lovely. You can tell there's a Latin influence to the menu. Generous portions, tasty steak that's marinated well and the fries were seasoned well. The cafe has parking in the back, wifi and AC! Love the passion and effort the staff are putting into this place, for sure coming back. read more
