Chili oil pork belly
Gifty W.

I was so happy to find out a new spot opened up in the hood. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in and saw the Dj booth and cute aesthetic. We went on a Saturday morning and there was only 1 server who was very kind and gracious. I ordered the porkbelly and eggs with chili oil. It was good. I'd probably try something else on my next visit. The coffee was great. I do wish there were a few more options on the menu but I appreciate this location.

The ideal find for our record thrifting Saturday meetup: a few buddies recently got into the vinyl scene and asked where we could go to look for used and new records. I suggested a few stops in and around Covina, so I went to Yelp to find a good spot to grab breakfast first. The name caught my attention and upon a quick Yelp look, it made for an easy decision. We sat outside but the inside is pretty cool - full DJ setup and lots of albums. I ordered the pork belly and a side of potatoes for the table to split. And, a latte of course: The pork belly was... mmmmm.... so, so good. Crispy and seasoned and hot. The greens were a nice complement to the salty goodness of main dish. The potatoes were also quite good but my only comment was that they used the same seasoning as the pork belly and it was a little heavy on the potatoes. Don't get me wrong, they were good but it was the same note twice. The latte was solid. And, the location made for the perfect meetup spot. Fast forward two hours and I ended the day with 4 new records to add to my collection and a great new spot to tell others about trying near downtown Covina.

Iced Chaga Matcha Latte and Matcha Latte with oat milk.

We stopped by on an early morning looking for matcha drinks. This establishment is located in downtown Covina. You can park on the street or in the garage. They are only open from early morning to lunch time. When we came it was not too busy. We were greeted right away and were there to order some drinks to go. I liked the environment. It gave a chill and relaxing vibe. The music was low enough where you can have a conversation with the person sitting across from you. I ordered a Chaga Matcha Latte, iced and with oat milk. My husband ordered the Matcha Latte, iced and with oat milk too. My drink had more of an earthy flavor with hint of sweetness from the oat milk. I enjoyed it very much because I finished it drink within minutes. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back to try their brunch menu.

Matcha Latte & Chaga Matcha. YUMMY! ( ^_^)b

We came by early on a Saturday morning just to try out some of the drinks. The location has parking on the street and a parking garage nearby. The vibe has a cool atmosphere. They have good music playing the entire time. The staff took care of us and made us feel welcomed the whole time. We decided on the Chaga Matcha and Matcha Latte both with oat milk. Side note: milk substitutions are free of charge. Huge plus! :) They have countertop seating and a few tables inside to dine in. Also the outside patio has 3-4 tables. We stayed inside to drink our drinks and I really enjoyed it. My Matcha Latte was tops. I loved the matcha balance with the sweetness so it wasn't too bitter. Every sip was delicious. Overall, Full Circle has a great energy and I'd be down to come by again to try their breakfast/brunch items next visit! ( ^_^)b

Pork belly and eggs

I selfishly want to gate keep this new establishment, but I have to share how great our family breakfast experience was with the two kiddos. Food is 11/10. Portions are all shareable! We got the pork belly and eggs main, which came with two thicc cut deep fried pork belly, choice of egg preparation, grilled bread, and a side salad that was dressed in a delicious vinaigrette. The egg breakfast sandwhich was packed! I saved half for later. For sides, we got some crispy and tender potatoes and tasty cinnamon toast accompanied by mascarpone. It's unassuming at first, but the subtle balance of sweetness and cinnamon comes in on the back end. My kids loved these. Service was friendly and attentive. We came with our toddler, and were asked if we'd like a plastic cub for her water. I liked that it was reusable. We ordered a lot of food to try out the menu. There was only one person working of the beverages, so that came a little slower than the food, but I didn't mind. I was enjoying tunes by Daniel Cesar, Brent Fayaz and H.E.R. Ambience and vibes hands down exceeded expectations. I love how they repainted the inside a Hunter green with green accent wallpaper. It complemented the warm wood tones of the vinyl shelf and dj set up in the back. This place is really crafted for the person who appreciates good music, great food and quality coffee.

It's rare to be waiting for your food at a restaurant while already thinking about what you'll eat later... but that was me at Full Circle today. I was genuinely excited to try this place given their interesting approach to food and music. I also love any spot that advertises fresh, clean ingredients. Starting with the pros: Full Circle has a beautiful, clean interior and very friendly staff. I loved watching the barista work, it's clear she's talented at what she does. Now for the cons. By 11:30am, they seemed to be running low on many ingredients. They were out of pork belly, potatoes, regular bread, and cinnamon loaf. However, while ordering, we were only told they were out of cinnamon loaf. It wasn't until a few minutes later that we were informed they also didn't have pork belly, bread, or potatoes. I'd understand this more if it were closer to their 2pm closing time... but it was 11:30am. Luckily, they weren't out of coffee, so I ordered a vanilla latte with cold foam, it was overly sweet but good. About 20 minutes later, I received my avocado toast with egg. It was pretty good, but I specifically asked for the pickled onions on the side and was reassured they would be. When it came out, they were all over the egg. I understand restaurants can get hectic, but small details like that can put a damper on the experience, especially after finding out half the menu is unavailable. That said, the toast did taste fresh, and I can't complain about that. I just wish I'd had the chance to try the items I originally ordered. What I can complain about is the price: $50 for two coffees and two fairly small avocado toasts with egg. I'd love to come back and give this spot another try, but I may wait until management has a better handle on keeping ingredients stocked. There's definitely a lot of potential here.

First time visiting Full Circle right across from Covina City Hall and I really wanted to like it, especially as a local who remembers the previous Mexican spot that used to be here. I'm giving it two stars because the staff, especially the gentleman who helped us, was genuinely kind and welcoming. That part did not go unnoticed. However, the service flow needs work. Our potatoes came out with no utensils and we had to wait until the food was already in front of us to ask for them. No extra napkins were provided, and we were never checked on after the food arrived. We eventually had to flag someone down for the check. None of those things alone would have cost a star, but together they made the experience feel inattentive. The bigger issue was the food. It was extremely bland. Mid bite I genuinely wondered if everything was intentionally under seasoned because there was almost no depth of flavor. When pricing is on the higher side, expectations naturally go up with it, and unfortunately the taste just did not match the cost. The coffee drinks were also disappointing. I love coffee and could not finish mine. There were no basic table additions like salt, pepper, sugar, or creamer readily available, which made it hard to adjust anything to taste. If the concept is meant to be elevated or minimalist, that's fine, but the flavors still need to stand confidently on their own. I chose outdoor seating, which I appreciated for the natural light and quieter vibe, but the exterior could use some attention. It felt a bit unpolished, and hearing the DJ inside gave the space more of a lounge or nightlife feel than a relaxed brunch setting. I can see how some people might enjoy that energy, and clearly the place draws a crowd because there were people waiting. I respect any business investing in the Covina community, and I do wish them success. With stronger seasoning, more attentive table service, and a bit more polish inside and out, this could be a solid neighborhood staple. For now, though, it just didn't land for me.

Full circle is giving a total different vibe than its predecessor. Looking for a place to meet up, get some work done, or enjoy a cuppa by yourself? This is the place to come. I love a cute little shop tucked away with good customer service and hot jams.

This is such a cool little spot! Went in on a Sunday when some friends were spinning records. Food was good and the chill vibes can't be beat. Servers were so cool. Felt like you were hanging out with friends. I'm always up for food and music, awesome addition to the Covina area!

I was craving a matcha and looked up a new place to try. I found Full Circle Kitchen & Sound on Yelp and read that they were having a soft opening phase. I made my way and was happy to see that there was street parking available as sometimes the downtown area can be very very. I walked in and was seated immediately. The inside has a minimalist vibe. They have about a coffee bar and about 10 tables inside. They also have about 3 tables outside. I was just going to get a drink but was also provided with a food menu. They had a Fluffy Egg Breakfast Sandwich. It sounded good so I went ahead and ordered it. I also asked for a Chaga Matcha and a Vanilla Latte to try. The food came out first. The sandwich was very delicious. The egg indeed was very fluffy. I loved that they provided a chili oil to add to the sandwich. The bread tasted very good. If I remember correctly, they make their own bread! The latte was good. The coffee is on the stronger side, which I liked. The matcha tasted a bit on the sweeter side. The staff was very friendly and checked on me to ensure everything was tasting good. Overall, I would definitely come back to try more items.

Best vibes for a coffee shop/ brunch place I have been to yet. some cool chill retro tunes being played at a turntable setup. very clean and new interior. The entire wall is a window that overlooks part of the mighty SGV mountains. food was great as well as the service. I only had stuffed french toast. I will have to try the avacado toast or sweet potato bowl next visit. Small menu for now which is fine. Also a cool place to just chill and sip a drink. I had a honey tumeric tea which hit the spot. Great location on a quiet street just off the main drag. across the street is a cool italian market where you can get all sorts of great Italian goods and a full deli. Full Circle is a great spot worth checking out. They have guest DJs that play a mix of tunes.

I ordered the iced Vanilla Latte ($7) at Full Circle (Covina). It's smooth, sweet, and strong. Its sweetness reminded me of sugary condensed milk. However, as I continued, the flavor of familiar fresh coffee was greedily welcomed as it released a pleasant jolt of energy. This iced coffee was not watered down; rather, it felt sincere and functional. I arrived at Full Circle (Covina) on Thursday (around 11:58AM). It's located in Downtown Covina; it's across the street from Covina City Hall. Parking is very easy and plentiful. At first glance, Full Circle (Covina) looks closed. Its exterior is plain and ugly. However, as I approached its doors, I found a lively interior with loud, amped music. (Important Note: Full Circle (Covina) is at its Soft Opening stage. Currently, the location looks very bare bones and incomplete.) Staff is professional and welcoming. Staff (receipt says Marissa) is very personable and friendly. Marissa repeatedly attempted to engage conversation with me. Marissa would say phrases like "How's your day going so far?" and promptly answer any questions. As mentioned, I ordered the the iced Vanilla Latte ($7). This ice coffee was ready in two minutes and 53 seconds. Very fast! Regarding ambiance, Full Circle (Covina) is currently very plain and unattractive. It's sparsely decorated with a couple plants while random orange-colored crates lay on its floors. Fortunately, the location is very clean; its tables and chairs are shiny and new; and its interior felt well-ventilated and comfortable. Full Circle (Covina) also has two gender neutral restrooms in the back. The location also has customer wifi with password, but customers must speak with staff for the information; their wifi currently begins with the generic Frontier name. Also, there's plenty of seating inside and outside; two electric wall sockets sit conveniently for customer use. If I had to nitpick, the place echoes a lot. The chattering, music, and harsh buzzing sounds from the counter's machines are amplified by this echoing. Also, there's currently no napkin dispenser, and I did not see a trashcan which is strange. If this place ever became busy, I worry about the impending, harsh volume. Overall, I sincerely enjoyed my iced Vanilla Latte ($7) at Full Circle (Covina). Since this location is still in its "Soft Opening" stage, there's a definite chance that this place will only improve with time. As of now, Full Circle (Covina) offers functional and tasty coffee. If nearby, I recommend. 4.6 out of 5

Cappuccino with oat milk
Vahd N.

I chose this new restaurant in downtown Covina because of the rave Yelp reviews. everyone was saying it was the next big thing, so naturally, I had to check it out and support a local business. But oh boy, it was like stepping into a funhouse mirror version of the reviews. I went for breakfast on a Sunday, and the inside was packed, so I grabbed a seat outside, figuring I'd still get a good vibe. I ordered a cappuccino, swapping out the oat milk for regular, and wow! first sip, I was like, "Is this a joke?" I tried a second sip just to confirm, and yep, it was still terrible. like drinking sadness in a mug. Then came the egg sandwich and a side of potatoes. The sandwich was decent (maybe a solid 4 out of 5) but the potatoes? Oh man, those were so bad. Greasy, old, like they were trying to sabotage my breakfast dreams. Honestly, any kid with a frying pan could do better! it's just a potato! You can't mess up a potato this badly. And let's talk price; $33 for a cappuccino, an egg sandwich, and those sad potatoes. I mean, come on, I've had fancier breakfasts for half the price. The staff, though, were fantastic, super friendly and welcoming and the space itself is really cool, modern, and they even had a DJ spinning inside, which was a nice touch. But at the end of the day, the food just couldn't keep up with the hype. So, even though I wanted to love it, I'm giving it 2 stars. food just didn't deliver, even if the vibe did.

Servers kept walking past our table without checking in and honestly looked kind of lost or wandering around aimlessly. Luckily they keep water pitchers on the tables already filled, which now makes perfect sense considering how long it takes to get service. Smart move on their part. I ordered the avocado toast with a side of bacon, and my husband ordered the chorizo skillet. The coffees and my food came out quickly, but his never did. Instead, we watched an older server walk around the restaurant with his skillet and bacon, stopping at multiple tables asking if it belonged to them. Twice she set it down at other tables before being told it wasn't theirs. The third time, she finally brought it to us. That seems like it should be a health issue, what if someone else had stuck their fingers in it not knowing. By then, my husband didn't even want it anymore because it had already been sitting in front of other people. To their credit, they remade it, but then we waited another 15 minutes for his food while I had already finished eating. We actually watched another couple sitting next to us get so frustrated because their order was completely forgotten. After waiting forever with no food and barely any acknowledgment, they eventually just got up and left. Overall, cute spot and really good coffee, but the service was incredibly disorganized and the food mix-up was a huge turnoff. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

I went on their last day at the physical location. There was definitely a feeling of community and good vibes. It wasn't so packed but there were plenty of conversations being had in this small space. It seems like they've cultivated a lot of trust and adoration with their customers. It was my first time here so I went with their chilaquiles rojos and a cafe de olla latte (hot). It didn't take long to come out. At first I thought the portion size of chilaquiles was on the smaller size for the price, but once I tasted them, I didn't mind it. They were so good! Flavorful, covered in red sauce, I love that they topped it with cilantro and onions, it gave it a burst of freshness. The egg was cooked perfectly (they gave me the option of scrambled or fried egg). It wasn't spicy at all (I kinda wish that it was). The latte was amazing as well. You really taste the piloncillo, but it's not overly sweet. I would go just for that drink alone. Everything about my visit was great. I would suggest following them on their socials to get updates about their next business ventures and hopefully news about where to find them next.

It's located where the old Sizzler used to be (RIP to the cheese bread ). We went on a Sunday around 12:30. It was pretty quiet, but since they close at 2, that made sense. Service was prompt and friendly, and once we ordered, our food came out quickly. The menu is smaller and definitely diner-style. The food itself was just okay -- nothing bad, but nothing standout either. Basic eggs and hash browns. The corned beef hash was clearly from a can, which didn't bother me. The biscuits were a little hard and cold, but the gravy was actually pretty good. Now for the pricing -- $5 for an iced tea and around $7 for orange juice feels a little wild. Our total was $89 before tip for 4 adults and 2 kids (the kids shared one pancake, which was a good size). Overall, it was a decent experience. A bit pricey for what you get, but solid enough. We'd probably go back if we were in the area again -- next time we'd try the lunch menu instead. 4 solid stars.

The…read morehot link and eggs plate was superb, with plenty of juicy and delicious hot links to anchor the whole entree. The hash browns were a tad mushy, but otherwise, the whole plate rocked. They got my eggs exactly up easy, which is more than most diners can do. The service was a bit slow with the refills; I only could get two refills by the time the meal ended when a more on the ball server can get me to that five or six cup mark. It wasn't too egregious, though, with her checking after five minutes of me looking to her to get my coffee. The ambiance is a little old and past its prime, but I kind of think that's what gives diners like this its character. I wasn't put off at all as I like to see a place that's settled in and experienced than brand new and maybe still figuring it out. All in all, it was a good breakfast, minus the hash browns and lack of refills. It's not the top of my list of best breakfast options in the area, but it's not the bottom of the list either.
