I needed a quick additional cake for my kids birthday party to feed all our guest. I purchased a half sheet on a whim. I wanted the most basic asian strawberry cake. This cake turned out amazing! Everyone ended up loving this more than the cakes I custom ordered. Thank you for your quick service and delicious cake.

Ordered a cake here for my best friend's birthday. I'm so glad El Monte has an Asian cake place because I hate the heavy frosting of grocery store cakes and could not subject my friends to that. $32 for a 8 inch cake. Great solid cake. Would choose this spot again

Years later and this is still the only cake that my parents will finish a slice of lol. Whenever a new person sees the cake they are also surprised saying they'd never seen a cake like this before. I hope they continue this seasonal item for summers to come. $50 for an 8 inch, can probably feed 8-10 people. The tiramisu and Black Forest slices were also delicious and light. The cream puffs were also awesome.

They make their cakes fresh and I love that you can sometimes make last-minute orders. I was trying to find a birthday cake for my friend and remembered that they sell really delicious sponge cakes here. I put in an order at 4:30 and it was ready by 5:40 with the icing on it. Best of all, the cake was so delicious (**not too sweet**) with fresh fruits. I love how crunchy the bottom of the sponge cake breading is, to contrast with the softness of the cake

The cake was delicious fluffy and moist. And the design came out perfect to what we wanted

The cakes are always so fluffy and moist here! I have ordered from here many times and the cakes never disappoint - small mom & pop shop - takes custom cake designs - prefers cash payments **picture: I ordered a white cake with fresh strawberries. Asked for a plain gradient light peach to white textured line design. I placed the roses, candles, and birthday sign myself!

AMAZING I placed the order for my sons 2nd birthday and we absolutely loved it! I will definitely be ordering from here for every occasion!! I unfortunately forgot to take a picture so it's just a zoom in on a family photo but it was chocolate banana cake and it was decorated Cars themed. Thank you for helping us make our sons day more special!

Delicious cakes , always very satisfied with the results try them you won't regret it.

So cute and delicious. Best sponge cakes in town.

Best sponge cakes in the area. Owner is so easy to work with. He's polite and understands what you're looking for.

Always have gotten our cakes at TC bakery. This time for my parent's anniversary we got a white vanilla pound cake which my mom loves with mango and strawberry. I send them the exact picture of how we wanted the cake to look like and they indeed recreated that cake. My mom loved it so much. Our guest were all amazed on how beautiful it was and wanted to know where we purchased it. I highly recommend getting your cakes at TC bakery. One thing yesterday was a rainy day and they went out of their way, to not get the cake wet brought it all the way outside for u. Thank you from our family.

Same day cake made! Life savers! Cakes are very fluffy and light! Whipped topping is also very good ( note it is sweet). Came here to get a bday cake for my godson. Very pretty (I added Bluey toys). Definitely get a fruit inside.

Do you guys do tres leches cakes?

    Yes! We do :)

Hi By chance would you be able to do a two tier geode cake with a marble inside?

Hi, by geode, do you mean like the rocks? It would be difficult for us to make it via fondant. If you have any designs you’re interested in, you can come visit our store so we can check it out and see if can make it.

What's the smallest size of the mil hojas cake I can order? The one I usually order is way too big for my event. Thank you.

Hi, our smallest size is the 1/4 sheet. This one feeds 15-20 people! Hope this helps!

Can we come to shop to see what cakes are offered?

Yes! We do walk-ins, but prefer orders via the phone. Feel free to come in and order too!

Hi, how much is for a 6inch mango cake with the crispy flakes inside?

Hi, we actually don’t add crispy flakes inside a mango cake!

Can you make a Mickey Mouse chocolate cake?

Yes we can. Please dm our inbox for more details. Thank you!

Hi yes I would go in person but at the moment I'm quarantined. Would it be able to make a cake in the shape of a specific dragon?

Hello! Yes, we do custom cake orders. If you want one, you can call us. However, it’s better if you come in person.

Recently, I noticed the lines disappeared so we came for an early dinner. The interior is pretty cool. It's kit just tables and chairs but the design element is unique. Some seating are inside a honeycomb shaped booth, some are just in the middle of the dining area. We were seated at a table that resembles a birdcage. There's a lot of wood and warm colors, which makes the ambiance stand out over other ramen places. We ordered a ramen, omurice with katsu, some skewers and popcorn chicken. The spicy ramen was delicious, but there was no soft boiled egg as shown on the menu photo. All I saw was a broken egg white at the bottom of the bowl. 4/5. The omurice was nicely done. The egg was perfectly soft and silky with a nice curry sauce in the side. The katsu that came with it was crispy, hot and tasty. 4.5/5. The popcorn chicken was great. Perfect seasoning and crispy. 5/5. The skewers however, were the low point of our dinner. They did not appear they were cooked fresh. The meats were dry and tough. The scallops were OK but tiny. Chicken was average. The whole order did not satisfy. We also got an Amazing Lemonade and Thai iced tea. The lemonade was a very refreshing drink, and the Thai tea is just like all other places. Our server, unfortunately forgot his name, was excellent. Very personable and great at describing flavors. The friendliness extends to the rest of the staff too. It's a nice place to check out. Note their parking lot is fairly small, and shared with Paris Baguette next door. It's a 4.5, rounded up.

We stopped by to try their Dine LA deal, which was $65 for a dinner set that included a choice of two appetizers, entrées, drinks, and desserts. The interior featured light wooden accents and honeycomb-style seating that created a cozy ambiance. Service was efficient, and our server was kind and attentive throughout the meal. **Yakitori Platter: 2/5** Unfortunately, the meats were dry and overcooked, while the skewers lacked the signature charred, smoky flavor I typically look for in yakitori. **Crispy Sweet Chili Wings: 2/5** Tossed in a sticky, sweet and spicy glaze, the wings were pleasantly crispy, though an unusual, artificial aftertaste made them difficult to enjoy. **Kyushu Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen: 5/5** This was everything I look for in a good bowl of ramen. The broth was creamy with a bold kick of spice, and the noodles tasted fresh with a satisfying chew. A jammy soft-boiled egg and tender slices of chashu pork made for the perfect finishing touches, with corn adding a subtle sweetness that balanced the richness of the broth. **Tonkatsu Omurice: 2.5/5** A popular Japanese comfort dish, Kyuramen's omurice was paired with a side of crispy tonkatsu. The omelet was incredibly fluffy with a soft, silky texture, but both the chicken fried rice and demi-glace were rather bland and lacking in depth. **Thai Iced Tea: 3.5/5** Fairly standard as far as Thai iced tea goes, this version was smooth with distinct notes of vanilla, warm spices, and just the right amount of sweetness. **Amazing Lemonade: 4/5** Bright and refreshing, the lemonade also had a hint of cucumber that softened its tartness. **Matcha Pudding with Red Bean: 4/5** Velvety with a custard-like consistency, the pudding had a pronounced matcha presence and was served with fresh milk on the side. The red bean complemented the earthy bitterness of the matcha. **Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly: 2/5** This dessert was visually stunning, with edible sakura flowers suspended inside and crystal boba adding a firm, slightly crunchy contrast to its bouncy texture. While the jelly itself was muted in flavor, the accompanying syrup intensified the floral profile, which ultimately became too strong for my taste. Although Kyuramen had its highlights, several dishes fell short in terms of execution. The Dine LA set was a good opportunity to sample a variety of offerings, but I'd stick to just the ramen on a future visit.

The girl working the counter was a young girl just getting by her summer day job. She was nice but timid. It was our first time there and a little more energy on her end could've been better. Ordered the ube swirl, pineapple dole whip, mung bean taiyaki, and a custard one togo. The taiyaki that goes onto the ice cream is a lot bigger than one we ordered to go. I thought it would be as big, but when I got it, it was so much smaller and flat. Also, the taiyaki that goes on top of the ice cream was old. It had been sitting there for a while or was made earlier as it was hard and difficult to bite. The red bean inside I also assumed was a paste like how they make the Japanese version, however there were whole pieces in there. It was okay, but I thought they'd be like paste. Overall, the only thing that was good was the ube swirl and the pineapple dole whip. It was also extremely warm in the shop, like no AC in the triple digits summer heat. Had to eat it elsewhere. I most likely won't be back.

I was hoping to have my own AE86 built and ready when I finally stopped by, but maybe for the new location. As an honest critique of the actual storefront, the appearance and decor is very charming. In a very bright, Japanese themed cafe kind of way. But because this is an Initial D themed drink and snack spot, I can see this being a place where mostly guys use this place as a meet-up hub. Especially for a small car meet. Very niche right? Especially for the dying breed of 1980's 1990's - 2000's JDM cars. That said, how many guys in the city could you actually get to come here regularly for soy and soy-based accessories, drinks, and snacks? The dessert was okay, and I wasn't in love with the drinks. Light, tofu refreshing, but not captivating. Personally, the menu doesn't appeal to me, since I try to avoid soy since it tends to be a pro-estrogen consumable. I don't think they had to box themselves in into being a purely tofu-only cafe. They could sell tofu products, and also have something simple but repeatedly addictive; like In-n-Out, Wurstkuche, Howling Ray's, Tea Master Matcha Cafe, Savoy, Langer's, etc. The closest idea I can think of that would be forced into tofu would be like really excellent, authentic mabo tofu, agedashi tofu, or like a karaage or Tokyo fried chicken style fried chicken with a mabo tofu dipping sauce, heavy on the ma-la flavors. Hell, I might even stop by more if they imported more car parts, from like Impulse, TRD, or Apex'i. But the way the AE86 market is, it makes more sense to sell online to the global niche. Wonderful atmosphere and mood for the Initial D/MF Ghost/Subaru to Subaru fandom. It was fun just to follow on instagram and catch a glimpse of all the influencer personalities in the car community stopping by. I'll look forward to what their next Project T(ofu) looks like. See you next time, Space (cow) boy. Oh-oh-oh. I need you babe.

I faintly remember the prior business, which I think was a candy (chocolate) shop. Walked in with a group of 3-5 other potential customers (didn't know them), they headed straight to the ordering kiosk but after a few minutes, they turned around and left. Off to the side, another couple was still deciding on what to try, as were we. Needless to say, it got a bit crowded/awkward in there as we all were taking turns shuffling around/finding a place to stand, without being rude to each other. They have some really refreshing-looking beverages and sweets that caught my eye. However, we finally decided on the coconut shake since it was our first visit. We also utilized our 626 Food Passport. The drink was good, a bit icy for my taste. I liked the small bits of coconut which gave the drink it a nice texture. Overall, the drink was fine but I was hoping for a more stronger coconut flavor. Customer service was acceptable but they didn't go out of their way to greet customers upon entering or suggest item(s) to order. I felt like we were on our own to choose something that we hoped we would like. It was also a bit loud inside as multiple blenders were running so it was difficult to interact with staff. They did call out our drink order when it was ready, but sadly no acknowledgment, smile or "thank you for coming/trying us out". Personally, I was excited to try out this business when I first walked in, but that enthusiasm deflated due to the indifferent customer service that day. Perhaps it was an "off" day or time (I get it, I've had my share of those) but I believe even a little bit of interaction/friendliness/acknowledgment can go a long way in getting the customer to return.
