They make their cakes fresh and I love that you can sometimes make last-minute orders. I was trying to find a birthday cake for my friend and remembered that they sell really delicious sponge cakes here. I put in an order at 4:30 and it was ready by 5:40 with the icing on it. Best of all, the cake was so delicious (**not too sweet**) with fresh fruits. I love how crunchy the bottom of the sponge cake breading is, to contrast with the softness of the cake

The cake was delicious fluffy and moist. And the design came out perfect to what we wanted

The cakes are always so fluffy and moist here! I have ordered from here many times and the cakes never disappoint - small mom & pop shop - takes custom cake designs - prefers cash payments **picture: I ordered a white cake with fresh strawberries. Asked for a plain gradient light peach to white textured line design. I placed the roses, candles, and birthday sign myself!

AMAZING I placed the order for my sons 2nd birthday and we absolutely loved it! I will definitely be ordering from here for every occasion!! I unfortunately forgot to take a picture so it's just a zoom in on a family photo but it was chocolate banana cake and it was decorated Cars themed. Thank you for helping us make our sons day more special!

So cute and delicious. Best sponge cakes in town.

Best sponge cakes in the area. Owner is so easy to work with. He's polite and understands what you're looking for.

Always have gotten our cakes at TC bakery. This time for my parent's anniversary we got a white vanilla pound cake which my mom loves with mango and strawberry. I send them the exact picture of how we wanted the cake to look like and they indeed recreated that cake. My mom loved it so much. Our guest were all amazed on how beautiful it was and wanted to know where we purchased it. I highly recommend getting your cakes at TC bakery. One thing yesterday was a rainy day and they went out of their way, to not get the cake wet brought it all the way outside for u. Thank you from our family.

Same day cake made! Life savers! Cakes are very fluffy and light! Whipped topping is also very good ( note it is sweet). Came here to get a bday cake for my godson. Very pretty (I added Bluey toys). Definitely get a fruit inside.

Delicious light fluffy sponge cake and excellent service! Found this place on yelp last minute. My friend's hubby didn't know where to get wife's bday cake for 80s themed party the next day. Morning of the party, I found this amazing mom and pop bakery that will take orders same day with at least 2-3 hours notice. It's located in a plaza with the Northgate Market so free parking. Small front area, very little on display but it was 5pm when I was there. They had a steady stream of people picking up. When I called to order, they worked with me on customizing cake and fillings. The young girl in front, probably the daughter, also let me text her ideas and inscription. They accept credit cards! no deposit over the phone was needed. Pick up did take about 15 min because they didn't do the inscription before I got there- probably in case I didn't come. And the fruit tarts are preorder only and they assembled them when I got there. Everyone loved it all! The fruit tarts were sweet- but not overly! The cakes were great if you don't like too sweet. And these were the lightest Chinese sponge cakes I've ever had... and we have them all the time! They even make a strawberry tres leches that I want to try next time!! Oh and they had the honey butterflies that I haven't had since I was a kid- sorry no picture because I ate it in the car!

The cakes here are soooo good... especially the one with the crispy center... it's not too sweet and the cake is so spongy ... I just ordered one recently and my friends are requesting me to order more for upcoming birthdays...

Hi By chance would you be able to do a two tier geode cake with a marble inside?

Hi, by geode, do you mean like the rocks? It would be difficult for us to make it via fondant. If you have any designs you’re interested in, you can come visit our store so we can check it out and see if can make it.

What's the smallest size of the mil hojas cake I can order? The one I usually order is way too big for my event. Thank you.

Hi, our smallest size is the 1/4 sheet. This one feeds 15-20 people! Hope this helps!

Can we come to shop to see what cakes are offered?

Yes! We do walk-ins, but prefer orders via the phone. Feel free to come in and order too!

Hi, how much is for a 6inch mango cake with the crispy flakes inside?

Hi, we actually don’t add crispy flakes inside a mango cake!

Can you make a Mickey Mouse chocolate cake?

Yes we can. Please dm our inbox for more details. Thank you!

Hi yes I would go in person but at the moment I'm quarantined. Would it be able to make a cake in the shape of a specific dragon?

Hello! Yes, we do custom cake orders. If you want one, you can call us. However, it’s better if you come in person.

Service: 5/5 No complaints on service, staff are nice and quick, although it will get quite busy on the weekends. Food: 4/5 Omiurice w/ Demi-glace: 5/5 First Impressions, their omurice is amazing! The egg was cooked perfectly, it was very fluffy, and runny, paired with the demi-glace sauce which made it savory. The rice beneath was a nice addition too. They also come to your table and cut it open for you there, giving you the option to record for social media and etc. Thai tea: 3.5/5 So they have a little TBAR i belive inside, and you can order items separately, although this thai tea came with my order i believe. Its honestly pretty solid, but I'd say that it was a little bit sweet, and the cup is pretty small. Overall, id give it a 4/5. Its more of a resturant where you'd wanna go out and eat eith friends or experience something new, but other then that, its fairly busy most of the time, and parking is a bit hard to find. .

Come for the food, but LOOK AT THIS PLACE…read more Okay, I have to start with the atmosphere because this place is absolutely STUNNING. The second you walk in, there is so much to look at. The woodwork, the hanging wooden plaques, the Japanese-inspired décor, the trees throughout the restaurant, the lighting, and especially the little honeycomb-style booths built into the walls. It almost feels like you've stepped into this little Japanese village rather than just another restaurant. Whoever designed this place understood the assignment. I went during the week, so thankfully it wasn't very crowded, and my friend and I were able to sit upstairs in one of the honeycomb booths. If one is available, DO IT. It made the whole experience that much more fun, and you get such a cool view of the restaurant from up there. Now, FOOD. I ordered the Pork Tonkatsu Omurice with curry sauce, which comes with chicken fried rice wrapped in that beautiful fluffy omelet, topped with pork tonkatsu and curry. When they bring it out, they actually ask if you'd like to record the presentation before they cut/open the egg--which, obviously, YES. It's one of those little touches that turns ordering food into an actual experience. And it was BOMB. The egg was fluffy, the pork tonkatsu had that crispy texture, and everything worked really well with the fried rice and curry. The curry itself isn't particularly spicy, so if you're someone who doesn't tolerate much heat, don't let the word curry scare you. It had plenty of flavor without being hot. Personally, I like my food SPICY spicy, so I added some extra spice to mine, but that's completely personal preference. I also ordered the Thai iced tea, and that was delicious--fresh, creamy, refreshing, and exactly what I wanted with the meal. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed the food, but I think the atmosphere is what pushed the experience over the top for me. The restaurant itself is just SO COOL. There are restaurants where you eat, leave, and that's it--and then there are places where you're looking around the entire time because you keep noticing another little detail. KYURAMEN was definitely the latter. Good food + Thai tea + an omurice presentation + sitting inside a freaking honeycomb booth overlooking this gorgeous restaurant? Yeah. I'm coming back. Tip: If you have the option to sit in one of the elevated honeycomb booths, absolutely take it. It makes the experience.

The girl working the counter was a young girl just getting by her summer day job. She was nice but timid. It was our first time there and a little more energy on her end could've been better. Ordered the ube swirl, pineapple dole whip, mung bean taiyaki, and a custard one togo. The taiyaki that goes onto the ice cream is a lot bigger than one we ordered to go. I thought it would be as big, but when I got it, it was so much smaller and flat. Also, the taiyaki that goes on top of the ice cream was old. It had been sitting there for a while or was made earlier as it was hard and difficult to bite. The red bean inside I also assumed was a paste like how they make the Japanese version, however there were whole pieces in there. It was okay, but I thought they'd be like paste. Overall, the only thing that was good was the ube swirl and the pineapple dole whip. It was also extremely warm in the shop, like no AC in the triple digits summer heat. Had to eat it elsewhere. I most likely won't be back.

I was hoping to have my own AE86 built and ready when I finally stopped by, but maybe for the new location. As an honest critique of the actual storefront, the appearance and decor is very charming. In a very bright, Japanese themed cafe kind of way. But because this is an Initial D themed drink and snack spot, I can see this being a place where mostly guys use this place as a meet-up hub. Especially for a small car meet. Very niche right? Especially for the dying breed of 1980's 1990's - 2000's JDM cars. That said, how many guys in the city could you actually get to come here regularly for soy and soy-based accessories, drinks, and snacks? The dessert was okay, and I wasn't in love with the drinks. Light, tofu refreshing, but not captivating. Personally, the menu doesn't appeal to me, since I try to avoid soy since it tends to be a pro-estrogen consumable. I don't think they had to box themselves in into being a purely tofu-only cafe. They could sell tofu products, and also have something simple but repeatedly addictive; like In-n-Out, Wurstkuche, Howling Ray's, Tea Master Matcha Cafe, Savoy, Langer's, etc. The closest idea I can think of that would be forced into tofu would be like really excellent, authentic mabo tofu, agedashi tofu, or like a karaage or Tokyo fried chicken style fried chicken with a mabo tofu dipping sauce, heavy on the ma-la flavors. Hell, I might even stop by more if they imported more car parts, from like Impulse, TRD, or Apex'i. But the way the AE86 market is, it makes more sense to sell online to the global niche. Wonderful atmosphere and mood for the Initial D/MF Ghost/Subaru to Subaru fandom. It was fun just to follow on instagram and catch a glimpse of all the influencer personalities in the car community stopping by. I'll look forward to what their next Project T(ofu) looks like. See you next time, Space (cow) boy. Oh-oh-oh. I need you babe.

It's a walk up, order, pay, choose your table/seat, and sit/wait for the dessert(s) establishment. There were about 8 tables of 4 each. Restrooms are available in the back of the shop. Sweet nice young lady at the counter took my order. Since it was my first time here, I had to get their Signature Coconut Jelly Dessert Soup for $10 and Mango Pomelo Sago Drink for $7. I could have gotten the latter as a dessert... I'll get it that way next time. Prices are reasonable. Service was great. Wait time was a tad slow though. Lots of good quality and fresh ingredients in the dessert soup which I loved. Overall taste was wonderful. One small gripe, it wasn't cold or hot just room temperature. It wasn't sweet either which was surprising to me. I would have preferred a bit more sweetness. Size could have been a bit larger for the price. Mango pomelo sago drink was delicious! Two thumbs up!! While I was enjoying my dessert, there was nice Tawianese and Hispanic music playing in the background. Good vibes! Despite of my gripe, I still ordered one Signature Coconut Jelly Dessert Soup to-go for my Mom to try. The lady staff offered to give a small container of condensed milk to provide some sweetness. Thank you Miss! My Mom enjoyed it very much. It's definitely a top notch dessert spot for anyone who is craving authentic traditional Chinese desserts and drinks. Dessert hype confirmed. I LOVE peach gum and haven't seen it that often but here there's a whole menu section for it! It's a jelly texture and is full of collagen and is really good for you. Snow swallow sounds scary but think of it like vegan birds nest? Not quite sure what the health benefits are but I'm sure it does something. Snow Swallow with Taro balls and Peach Gum in Coconut Milk, cold ($9)-- Can't vouch for the hot version but the cold one is great!!! It's so refreshing with a good mix of textures. There's jelly from peach gum, silky from snow swallow, chewy from taro balls.... everything just works so well together. The coconut milk is blended with other things I think because it's not jarring like coconut milk straight out of the can. It's sweet but not too sweet. A perfect canto dessert!! Portion size is good for 1 person which makes it kind of pricey $9 for a small bowl .... But nowadays even boba is $7-8. And this is harder to find and has collagen and health benefits so I say it's worth! There's a big shared parking lot in the plaza so parking is easy. Inside is clean with lots of tables.
